Chapter 588: [ Setsurigan ]
“As expected of a Monster King, the way you control your magic power is above that of normal people but as a Dragon Race it was still not enough!” The Dragon King P’thala muttered as his magic power exploded. His smile rose even further in tension and you could see his dragon-like grin on his face. “…you rely on useless tricks too much! The simplest the form is, the more powerful they are!”
“… …” Allen moved fast enough to leave afterimages and swung at his back.
But the Dragon King’s scales were unharmed. He placed blue and crimson flames in his sword and magnified it with more Magic power. The aftershocks alone opened up large holes in the ground.
But the scales of the Dragon King were unharmed.
He used Frozen Shade, attacking with a sword coated with ice with the help of the Ice Queen, planning to crack it with the sudden extreme temperature difference.
..But the scales were still unharmed.
His speed exploded, seeming to leave clones as he attacked near simultaneously from four directions.
…But the scales were still unharmed.
So hard…! Allen can’t help but feel depressed.
Seeing Allen’s depression, the Dragon King’s spoke; “… How do you think Dragons like us who were the epitome of all magical beings, controlling and using magic power as easy as breathing air didn’t use too much variety of magic as a human does…? That’s because we don’t need it! We use magic power for absolute offense…as well as an absolute defense!”
“… …?!”
“There’s no need to rely on petty tricks… absolute power overwhelms everything!” The Dragon King inhaled and then sent out a large fireball that can be easily be mistaken as a new sun towards Allen.
Allen immediately waved his arms and several swords circled around Allen and then formed a shield like formation.
“…use your magic power only when it is necessary—control them like they are your limbs. I don’t know why you had the blood of the dragon but that should be the gift of ‘mother’—so, you can say you are an illegitimate son of a True Dragon—you are more sensitive and gifted than other beings in this Thousand Worlds.”
“Mother…?”
“The Mother of all Dragons… the origin of magic power, the world…”
“Ah…” In the time the Dragon King’s sword cut the air once, Allen had slashed three times.
No, his speed rose even further.
He attacked incessantly. No space even for breath between them.
Flash, flash, flash.
Unharmed, unharmed, unharmed.
Allen’s fierce attack was enough to defeat other Mid Gods of the same level a hundred times over. And yet, against the Dragon King P’thala, it was useless! Perhaps because such Monster King was the opponent, it looked like he was going around in circles.
Even though he had rewritten the Dragon King’s power and abilities, with his World Authority, but it would only last for a moment and it would then returned back to normal, making him suffer defeat time and time again. His Domain couldn’t restrict the Dragon King’s power and even if it did, it was only an insignificant part!
Endless explosions instantly sent shock waves in all directions. This was a collision between two horrifying forces which caused even the space to distort.
“…the world… mother…was she going to be my enemy, in the end…?” Though Allen did not speak loudly, the Dragon King P’thala still managed to hear everything clearly. He did not say anything and merely took a step forward in midair. His green longsword slowly pointed forward…

Instantly, a two-meter longsword beam burst out from the tip of the sword. Then, it instantly split into two, five, ten, numerous sword beams… By the time the sword beams were close to Allen, they had already completely filled the skies and spaces around him and completely sealed him in.
Allen lifted his face, then looked down, and furiously slashed Rebellion downwards.
“Tyrant’s Decree!!” The sound of an angry dragon’s roar rang loudly from within the green sword’s formation, blasting a three-meter wide hole among the sword beams. With his Godly speed, Allen escaped from the hole and struck straight towards the Dragon King.
The Dragon King couldn't help but feel admiration as his own sword formation was broken so easily. However, he soon recovered his indifference and gently pointed his sword outwards.
Ding!! The tip of the green sword and the thick edge of Rebellion clashed together. Under the heavy pressure of Rebellion, the green sword instantly bent into a crescent shape. Allen knitted his brows as he continued using strength. Suddenly, he felt an overwhelmingly frightening strength attacking from his front…
The bent sword suddenly straightened, forcefully striking back against Rebellion. Allen’s arms seemed as though they were struck by a heavy hammer, and they turned numb immediately. Rebellion was nearly disarmed from him as his entire body was knocked back with the sound of the collision.
Bang!!! Allen harshly fell onto the ground, causing large cracks on the ground below him. At the same time, Rebellion finally flew out of his hands. There were plenty of wounds on his right arm and they bled profusely. His internal organs were in bad condition and the pain was unbearable, as though he had been cracked into pieces.
He was much stronger than Allen had expected. In strength alone, although the gap between Allen, who had strength equivalent to that of someone in the middle 2nd Grade Mid God, and the Dragon King, who was in the peak of the 3rd Grade Mid God and was probably even more beyond that, considering his status as an Emperor Class in the Monster King Council, was huge. It was already perverted!
However, the realm in which the Dragon King was in was completely beyond Allen…
He was at a level that Allen was unable to comprehend even now. His aura and magic power were overbearingly strong and ever-changing. It could be sharp enough to cut through anything, then also as vast as the sea, encompassing all creations. It could even interfere with space, rendering opponents unable to defend or prepare against.
Allen was completely suppressed in his exchange with him. Even before his Rebellion had touched the Dragon King’s clothes, he had already been wounded several times.
But how could the arrogance carved in Allen’s bones allow him to lose just like that!
He stood up and stretched out his bloodstained right arm. Rebellion then flew up by itself and returned into his hands.
Allen stared at the monstrous Dragon King in midair. Not only was there no fear coming from him, but his intent to battle and anger from humiliation were also enhanced several folds.
[ Envy Empowerment was activated! ]
Allen’s blood boils once again. His wounds just like before rapidly restored in a miraculous speed.
Wiiiz. Allen swung Rebellion and crimson light arced in the air.
Then, at this moment…
As Allen was thinking of how to advance based on what the Dragon King had said, Allen realized his brain was working pretty fast, efficient than usual. And for some reason, Allen’s eyes had somehow started hurting as well. Two lines of blood streak at his cheeks from his eyes.

The Dragon King who was observing Allen suddenly frowned. Allen’s eyes, those weird red eyes appeared once again… but this time, they seemed different.
Red pupils with a strange design. He had seen it before and it was not as it was now—there were originally three comma-like marks on his pupils but now—it turned into a triangle like an image at the center of the pupil. Not just that, the sclera was full of ripple patterns that looked extremely menacing.
What kind of eyes are those supposed to be…?
Allen felt some kind of new information was surging through his mind;
[ Congratulations! Sharingan mutation has been acquired! ]
*Ding!
[ You have acquired [ Setsurigan ]! ]

Setsurigan…? Allen’s lips arched into a wry smile. He ignored the prickling pain in his eyeballs and gripped Rebellion’s hilt.
With his new eyes, Allen’s vision amplified. He was now able to see things he couldn’t before, just like the Dragon King’s hidden aura…!
So strong…!
Allen couldn’t help but suck a cold breath as he could now see the Dragon King’s aura he was hiding and as expected, the Dragon King’s aura was overwhelming!
Even compared to his power and murderous intent that can easily bypass most veteran Mid God warriors due to his countless lives of nothing but bloodshed, even still compared to the Dragon King’s power and innate aura, it was quite inferior!
“As expected, no matter what I do, I don’t feel like I would win…” Allen mumbled with a bitter smile. Even with this newly acquired eye, and his rapidly growing strength from this battle, Allen still can’t see the peak of the mountain that is the Dragon King in front of him!
“What? So you’re still thinking of winning against me…? That was a shock,” The Dragon King heard Allen’s mumbling and couldn’t help but laugh at his hard-headedness. If you say Allen was a genius but sometimes he would look also like a fool. Probably, not because his intelligence was insufficient but because his pride and ego didn’t allow him to think properly.
Allen felt embarrassed but his face didn’t show any signs of shame and instead, he puffed his chest out in pride and responded; “…Of course, although it’s embarrassing to admit it I always win in a comeback. Just like a protagonist of some shounen manga, I always turned around the tide of battle in some unexpected ways—though I’m not proud of it… but… it seems like even the great God wouldn’t be able to help me against someone like you, Dragon King…!” he sighs bitterly.
“Hahaha, don’t be so uptight. You know, you should really feel proud, only a few people in this world can fight me for so long, even among the Monster Emperors!” The Dragon King shrugged nonchalantly, “That’s why I feel that there’s worth betting on you—you can become even stronger than me in no time at all.”
“… …”
“I don’t have power similar to The Eye, that Old Hag, but I’m not so thick not to feel anything—destiny is at play here, our meeting was heralding something—I’m honored to be one of those that pave your way, brother! I’m not thick headed and persistent like other Kings. Since you had the blood of a True Dragon, make your name roar to the endless sky, and make our clan proud!”
“You’re putting everything on me so suddenly…?! Well, anyway, I thank you for that. Thus, my defeat may be inevitable...But you'll still have to work for it, Dragon King! In the meantime, you’re gonna accompany me until I’m satisfied!”
Crackle! Allen’s body emitted electric sparks. Lightning pervaded everywhere as lightning snakes coiled about. Allen’s aura arced forth like a legendary aquatic dragon rising above the sea, engulfing towards the surrounding and sweeping away everything in its wake.
Crackle! The defense and offense that could destroy mountains and rivers, in a moment had already caused destruction to the entire battlefield, creating a hill of rubble.
Facing someone who could flip the earth, manipulate rivers, and be able to destroy everything in this world with just his physical strength, Allen used his limbs to repel the attacks coming from the Dragon King.
"What........how arrogant!" Countless rocks and water columns came striking in his direction. Allen merely concentrated on his momentum before using Rebellion to hit them off.
With a smile, the Dragon King who hid behind the scattered debris seized the chance and closed up to Allen’s front. Noticing his action, Allen used the rock as a foothold and jumped away to pull the distance. The pair of agile legs was Allen’s biggest weapon but was also used as a method to protect himself.
The other side of the battlefield of the brave instantly turned into rubble. Then, Allen stopped his movements and looked at Dragon King in confusion.
“…since we are already in his topic, Dragon King can I ask you something?” Allen who was about to attack suddenly stopped and asked with a serious expression. This was a question he really wanted to be answered but just couldn’t find anyone to properly explain it to him. He just can’t believe it—
“Go on…” The Dragon King didn’t mind the interruption and instead like this kind of moment.
“I already noticed a long time ago, most of my opponents thus far, including you actually, can attack my physical body without any problem…how is that possible? My body should be intangible—not made by flesh but lightning. Even still, I was still get hurt and wounded by all of your attacks so easily as if I still have my physical body. That is something I couldn’t understand…I can think of something but, was that possible…?” Allen asked curiously. One thing he knows for sure though--they are not using Haki!
“… …”
