Chapter 530: [ Star of the Hero ]
“If you want your brother alive, stop them quickly!”
“What?!” Nangong Xuyi frowned. “What do you mean?” The person inside her necklace was a very powerful person from Ancient times. An Elder of an Ancient Sect, trap in the necklace.
She had always been receiving its teaching, causing her to reach the stage she was currently in. Above her peers, her power and fame covered the entire Continent. Only Bu Fangyi of the Passing Cloud Sect, Li Chen of the Li Sect, and Ye Yuechan of the Imperial Ye Clan were the people she considered her rival. And even among all the Eight Slaughter Kings, Elders of her Sect and other Sect, none of them were worthy in that person’s eyes…
That person disdained everything, calling them trash and ants… but now, in front of her, a person actually appeared that can cause that person to shiver in fear…!
Worst was that it was a youth! A youth that had caused it to fear!
“’That’ is a monster!” The person’s voice echoed within her mind.
“What monster?”
“Ancient God!” The voice echoed again inside her mind. “This feeling, I would never mistake it! That youth, no, that monster is an Ancient God…!”
“…?!”
“I just don’t know why it came into this place but even if all of you gang up on him, all of you would be trashed instantly! If he was angered, all of you would be killed!”
Nangong Xuyi’s eyebrow jumped. “What did you say?”
Ancient God…?!
That youth is??!!
“Are you sure?”
“I am! I had faced someone with the same aura as him a few thousand years ago… before my death, even with my peak strength I was still unable to defeat him and could only escape with my life. Although some differences, but I’m sure that youth is from the God Continent… A God from the God Continent!”
“But his age…” Nangong Xuyi can’t believe it. Seeing the youth’s skeletal age, it was no more than twenty years old. Ancient God…? That’s hard to believe!
“Rebirth…” the voice answered. “Unlike the Immortals from the Divine Martial Continent, High Gods of the God Continent can be considered real Immortals! Their deaths don’t mean their ends…! Their life depended on the Myths and Legends across the Thousand Worlds…”
“How is that possible…!? An unkillable Immortal is unheard of! Even us…”
“That is because you haven’t stepped foot outside the continent! You don’t know the real power of the world you were in! You are just a frog trapped in a well—I had always told you, right? Go out and experience the world, and you will then know that what you believe is not all there is to it!”
Nangong Xuyi’s brow twitched from the obvious contempt on the voice from her necklace but she was indeed, hadn’t yet seen the outside world. Divine Martial Continent, has always been isolated from the other Continent. In fact, without proper permission, one cannot just freely enter the continent unless you will be captured and worst killed.
That has always been the case since long ago, as to not interfere or get involved in each continent’s affairs.

“The power that you thought is incredible, outside this continent is actually nothing. And becoming a true immortal isn’t as easy as you think it to be. It’s as simple as reaching a certain cultivation realm—there is a limit to everything—even lifespans.”
“…?!!”
“In the Divine Martial Continent there are only several of those who had truly reached that realm throughout the history of the Cultivation World—most famous of them, is the Great Monkey God; Sun Wukong, the Moon Goddess; Chang’e and the Goddess of Mercy; Guanyin—most only able to reach a certain Cultivation Realm before failing at the very last trial—such as the original Jade Emperor, who, from what I had heard had failed and was killed by the Lightning Tribulation due to some unknown reason.”
“Since then, no one had yet to reach and become a True Immortal God!” The voice explained thoroughly. “However, that is different from the High Gods of the God Continent—they have discovered many ways to become a true immortal, causing the God Continent to be hailed rulers of the Celestial Realm since long ago. Though, because of that, their Clans were as varied and diverse—with many different Gods and Clans compared to the Divine Martial Continent—thus, extremely chaotic with no proper unity whatsoever!”
“…then, you say they are real Immortal Gods?! They cannot be killed?”
“They can be killed but they won’t remain dead—Even if they died, they are not erased entirely. As long as mankind exists, and myths perpetuate, killed gods can resurrect. That is their power!”
The voice was speaking in a rare very serious tone.
Dark battle spirit and joyful feelings were quietly stored in the voice heart. Though she sounds outgoing and frivolous in appearance, she was a woman with a warrior spirit, living for the sword and dying in battle.
“Cultivators like me also tried to do similar things in the past. The result, my soul being trapped in this magic item, waiting to be reborn once again—with the external help of course, not like them who can be revived as time passed on!”
“I had even heard before that their true nature are myths. Even if their bodies are destroyed, as long as myths continued to exist, they will be able to rematerialize and resurrect countless times. Furthermore, it is impossible to make myths disappear unless all of mankind is eliminated. In short, they are impossible to be killed!”
“As long as myths exist, no matter how many times they will...”
“That…isn’t that too unfair then?! That’s already breaking the heaven’s will!! I can’t believe something like that can possibly exist!!” Nangong Xuyi cried out in shock.
“Of course, only those High Gods. Their descendants are demi-gods and cannot be reborn after death as long as they didn’t leave a mark of legend that would continue for hundreds and thousands of generations and be glorified… until now, I don’t recall any new High Gods transcending so, the youth in front of you should be an Ancient God… though I don’t know for sure who it was…”
Nangong Xuyi’s mind trembled… Ancient God… God Continent… Rebirth…
Is that youth really an Ancient God?

“But that is hard to believe! I can feel the power within him only… Half-Saint…?! No way! He had broken through Half-Saint…?!” Nangong Xuyi stared in horror. Normal Cultivators would not be able to see through other’s cultivation if the other party was strong… however, she was different.
Her master had taught her cultivation technique called [ Heaven Seeing Eyes ] and could see every detail the opposite party had as long as it has only twice or three realms higher than her.
A youth less than twenty years old had reached… half-saint realm…?! The youngest Half-Saint in the history of Divine Martial Continent!
“That is not all…” The voice let out a sigh. “…If I’m mistaken, he’s not just half-saint… but a real God Realm… your level is just too weak that it couldn’t see anything past that…”
“… …”
As Nangong Xuyi was trembling in disbelief, the silver-haired youth, from start to finish, never looked at the Iron Heart Sutra Sect. However, as he indifferently surveying the Mountain Ridge, he suddenly felt something and his gaze turned towards the beautiful woman who was staring at him with a pale complexion.
His draconic eyes narrowed into a slit. “Hmm…? Interesting…” His lips arched.
And before Nangong Xuyi could react, a massive terrifying aura appeared above her. Guha—!? Nangong Xuyi instantly coughed up blood as she kneels down, on her back was like ten mountains bearing her down!
“Sh*t!!” A voice resounded within the girl’s mind. “We’re discovered!!” A panic voice echoed within her mind.
“Wai…” Nangong Xuyi wanted to speak but the pressure become stronger and she couldn’t help but kneels on the ground with her hands on the ground, stubbornly supporting her body from breaking down. Now she finally felt why her master was extremely scared of the youth…! With just a gaze, she was actually close to dying already!
Nangong Xuyi’s sudden situation immediately alarmed the other disciples. They turned their heads in shock and confusion as to what was happening.
Nangong Liuyun was startled and immediately rushed towards her, “Xiao Xu! What’s wrong!?” However, the moment he appeared within a meter, Bang! A terrifying pressure smashed on his body and his knees immediately buckled. His face white as he kneeled on the ground.
What… what is happening?! Nangong Liuyun exclaimed in horror. He tried standing up while gritting his teeth but the pressure increased the more he struggles. Within moments, another wave of murderous intent began to fill the air, causing the blood and bones of those present to seethe.
“WHO?!!!” Nangong Liuyun gritted his teeth as he cried out. His pair of eyes was blood red and a streak of blood leaked at the corner of his mouth.
“Senior Brother?!” the other disciples immediately rushed over but they still suffer the same fate and all the people within the Iron Heart Sutra Sect was already kneeling in fear. As for other Sect disciples, they immediately jumped away, fearing to be involved.
“Who was it!!” One of the four Elders of the Iron Heart Sutra Sect cried out in anger. The other Elders had also wanted to help. But, they had suddenly felt suffocated for some reason. And, they were left with a desire to lock themselves in as a result.
They had been enshrouded in a biting cold killing intention. Moreover, this killing intention was so grandiose that it seemed as if the entire sky had been filled with an extremely powerful murderous aura.
However, it was strange that they couldn't tell where that murderous aura was coming from. So, how could they lock themselves in?
They were standing but their backs were already arched and their faces pale, blood leaked at the corner of their lips. The other Elders were the same as they endure the pressure…
“His Excellency, if these juniors offended you, I apologize in behalf! No need to stoop on their levels isn’t it!” Nangong Tian cried out in fear and apprehension. His face was pale and blood stained the edges of his mouth, and there wasn’t enough leeway for the slightest of struggle.
“His Excellency please shows yourself, Iron Heart Sutra Sect will give you an explanation…!”
Because of sudden happening that had occurred on the round, Ximen Wu and Zhan Shen’s battle halted. Their gazes turned towards the ground before hurriedly diving downward.
What is happening there…?
What is going on?
Shiiing! At this moment, the necklace of the kneeling and already tearing up Nangong Xuyi suddenly glowed brightly and from within was a beautiful silhouette of a woman. However, the body was half spiritual half earthly…
Seeing this, Allen’s pupils dilated and turned into a thin slit. He suddenly realized that aside from him, no one seemed to have seen the woman—no, it should be said that, aside from him and the owner of the necklace, no one can see her.
A spirit…!
Allen’s lips curled upwards. What? Is this similar to those protagonists in some wuxia novels…?
Interesting~
A female protagonist!
“It seems that this girl was born under the ‘star of the Hero’…”
Star of the Hero…?
“Hm? Laura, huh…” Allen smiled at Laura’s voice echoing in his mind. “Yeah, quite a rare existence even in this Realm…center of myths and legends—an existence born holding some sort of destiny.”
Hm… someone like Master…?
“Ha ha ha, who knows. In any case, they usually develop remarkable abilities at a young age, far removed from that of other people. Once they mature, they’re the best of the best in their respective fields—a true master… just like this girl…”
However, that life itself is not one of uneventful relaxation. They shall draw great luck or great misfortune…I guess I can also be seen as such. It was probably because I am reincarnated or transmigrated that I had such qualifications to be under that kind of star—probably, either way… living such a life would be bound to be tiring.
Allen mused as she stared at the spirit and the girl behind her. This was already the very first time he had seen someone like this!
In fact, for a situation straight out from a fiction novel to outright exist, a very interesting phenomenon~
