Chapter 437: [ I’m back ]
As Allen was floating within the fire womb, supposed to be the firebird’s rebirth womb, he had already lost the sense of time. The only sensation he can feel was the pain, heat, and coldness. All around him, was hot as if he was being boiled and grilled in a heating pan. However, despite the heat covering him, he felt as if strings of ice were boring into his body.
In the blink of an eye, he was shaking; his mana and blood surged. Gradually, he began to absorb the coldness as well as the heat.
Due to him being a Dragon, a Monster, and a Demon, his fleshly body was already strong, his fleshly can even contend against Emperor Realm without much power. However, for quite some time he had not been able to break past a certain point. No matter how hard he tried, when he fought, the most power his fleshly body could wield was equivalent to a Mid Emperor Realm.
As his magic power and blood raced, the mist began to rise up around him. The mist formed into streams that poured into his mouth and nose until it looked almost like he was breathing smoke.
With its passing stream, his physical body gradually began to grow stronger. Every strand of coldness and heat that burrowed into his flesh and blood exerted stimulating power that seemed to temper his body from the inside out.
This was not just simple undergoing power up or consuming the Fire Essence of the Bennu but had become a good fortune that tempered his body.
Although his eyes were closed and his consciousness was like a drifting cloud, for some vague reason, Allen realized that while the pulsating coldness around him had originally been somewhat weak, after mist rose up and covered him, the coldness was increased by more than ten to dozen times.
From the look of it, that coldness was only continuing to increase.
A moment later, he realized something else. It seemed as if the mist in the area was adding nourishment to his fleshly body. As it poured into him, his fleshly body began to experience a shocking transformation, slowly becoming more powerful.
The cold was boundless, majestic, and mad as it poured into him.
The flames burned like a crazy hellish demon as it covered his body, preventing the cold of being leaked from the outside and pushed it all towards Allen’s body.
He didn’t even need to make an effort to absorb it. The cold streams found him as if they thirsted to become a part of him. The cold tempered his insides as the heat transformed his physical body outside—transforming his outer appearance.
The harmony of cold and heat, ice, and flame—was unprecedented. They seemed to have a good understanding as to how to develop Allen’s body.
Wooosh. Allen trembled as he caused his magic power and blood to continue to flow.
What Allen didn’t know was that although the Fire womb had almost taken his life it was actually a very wonderful thing as well as opportunity—it was made from the mythical bird’s flesh and blood as well as own magic power. The power of it was incomparable to other places—it was filled with abundant resources, so to speak.

Coldness and heat poured into him, burrowing inside, fusing with his mana and blood, circulating through him. Allen could somehow sense his fleshly body growing stronger.
There was some Heavenly power from within these cold and heat that use gentleness to cause the fleshly body to be remolded. As if he was being caressed by an affectionate lover, there was no excessive pain, but the coldness from the cold currents gradually caused Allen’s body to grow stiff. After who knows how long, even his soul was showing signs of growing hard.
Time passed. Allen had already forgotten about everything. He floated in the firewomb, like a lost child, surrounded by mist. Nothing was clearly visible, not even his own body. He could only sense himself growing more powerful.
Allen’s draconic body continued to grow larger. When it reached a pinnacle, it would then rapidly shrink back down. This continued to happen back and forth, creating a cycle. When each revolution of the cycle was completed, his fleshly body would exude terrifying fluctuations.
Like a berserk dragon that was eager to come out and wreak havoc—his fleshly body continued to grow more and more powerful!
Suddenly, bluish-black scales appeared from several areas of his body and even the horns on each side of his head pulsated like a beating heart. The strange demonic marks on his body wriggled like living things and slowly expanded as if covering Allen with strange curved lines.
The angelic wings that were originally composed of glossy black feathers have now snow white colored scales at the top of his wings, looking as if they were made up of thick white flames. Then the wings curled and encased Allen which was in a fetal position.
Allen’s mind filled with roaring and his body started radiating pulses of Demonic aura. They were incredibly dense, and as they condensed together, and wriggled around him like living tentacles. As the Demonic aura was unleashed, it caused the mist to grow thicker.
Because of the Demonic Aura, as if simulating them, the accumulation of coldness and heat… was terrifying. Similarly, the nourishing power it provided to the fleshly body was incredibly shocking.
Allen’s body had reached a fearful state and only continued to grow stronger and stronger.
Time passed. Allen wasn’t sure how long it was already. A rumbling sound filled his body with the bottleneck he had previously been stuck at suddenly burst. Finally, he could achieve a fleshly body strength equal to that of a Peak Lesser Deity without accumulating magic power!
And if he used his magic power, skills, and abilities, his power would then achieve Mid God realm…
Pulses of power filled Allen. He could sense that with the terrifying, explosive power within him, he could destroy metal or stone with a single punch.
After some period of time passed, a rumbling sound could be heard, echoing out in all directions.
Badump! Badump!
Like a heart beating endlessly.
Allen suddenly raised his head, although his eyes were closed. Right now, his body was no longer expanding dramatically, nor was it being tempered. Instead, he was tall and thin.

He currently looked almost like he didn’t have any power at all in his body. However, deep inside was hidden a fearsome and indescribable strength that far exceeded the previous limits of his physical body.
He was now in possession of an extraordinary, enchanting power. Every single scrap of muscle was filled with shocking, explosive power that could crush a mountain as easily as lifting a hand. His bones were solid to an indescribable degree. As Allen lifted his head, his entire body erupted with an intense aura.
Hot yet somewhat cold.
A peculiar temperature around his body. His fleshly body, skeletal system, even the physical frame, all was now thick and strong in a way that did not conform to any rules. He was now a full head taller than he was before.
His originally 18 to 19 years old appearance and height seemed to have already been reached those of first to mid-twenties.
After struggling for a little while, Allen finally felt that all the bit of pain in his body had disappeared. The high temperature almost completely withdrew into somewhere.
The violence disappeared and a thread of soothing warmth gradually spread forth…
He was now covered by a beautiful oceanic blue film as he floated over the raging flames. Allen didn’t have a sense of time when suddenly, he felt a little shiver reverberate throughout his entire body.
The air was filled with the cold and heat element, and to his astonishment, the Mana Cycle in his body had accelerated by a wide margin compared to the past. It was as if the water was flowing through wide open canals, Allen felt the mana in his body was flowing without any obstruction.
Almost instantly, it took the shape of a small vortex, sucking every mana in the surroundings. As Allen was feeling extremely comfortable, he noticed that not only Mana, the cold energy, and even the flames started flowing towards his body, as if being sucked by an invisible vortex.
The Mana Cycle slowly resumed in that invisible small vortex and his internal spiritual energy started to recover automatically. Allen didn’t do anything, but he was rapidly restoring his energy.
After a few moments in a dream –like state, Allen’s closed eyes trembled.
Then, with a Crack! The Fire Cocoon enveloping his body started emitting cracking sounds and bang! It splits apart.
A wave of white fog rose and a figure slowly fell down from within.

When the ball of flames cracked started falling apart, the people waiting and guarding against the outside was startled and then an intense happiness started flowing from within them.
They hurried surrounded the fire cocoon, with anxiety coloring their faces.
And when the Fire Cocoon finally split apart and a shadow falls from the inside, the anxious people not far away from it became so scared silly and frantically moved to catch it.
Even Baishe instantly transformed into an enormous serpent and ignored the extremely hot magma to grab Allen’s falling figure. She feared that Allen would fall into the magma.
Her scales instantly burned and scalded but she didn’t care as she coiled her tail around Allen’s body desperately and pulled him over.
Asmodeus spread her wings and flew over while Lama disregards the magma and swam towards Allen. She followed Baishe‘s tail and carefully supported Allen’s naked body, in fear of making even a bit of skin to touché the magma and burned.
As for the others, they know that they couldn’t do anything within that sea of magma; they could only wait patiently in the shore.
Unbeknownst to them, this was already a futile action because with Allen’s body right now… even if he falls into the magma, it would be like bathing in a hot spring.
Allen was still unconscious.
"How's master!? Tell me how is he?" Baishe who didn't care about her body being burned by the magma frantically shouted.
"That's right, how's husband?!" Lama and Mireya hurried over as well.
"He's fine, probably ..." Asmodeus checked Allen’s body and her touch was extremely gentle as if it was the most fragile thing in the world that even with one touch it might break into pieces, answered.
"What do you mean probably sister Asmodeus? Is master really okay!" Dakna asked in anxiety.
“I think, no, it should be he’s really fine…” Asmodeus smiled gently. Though I don’t know about the soul though… what should I do if it wasn’t the master…?
Asmodeus felt a huge headache.
“If there was no problem in the body then… what about the inside?” Qin suddenly conveyed the real problem. Hearing her words, the surrounding instantly turned quiet.
However, as they were brooding over what to do, Allen’s eyelashes trembled and his eyes slowly opened.
“Master?!”
Allen saw the anxious women in front of him and his lips curled upwards, turning into a gentle smile…
“I’m back…”
At this very moment, due to Allen’s body reconstruction, he was now tall and slender, and his skin was no longer ashy grey like it had been up until now. It was white and clear, causing him to look completely refined and cultured. His graceful air was even more obvious and intense than ever.
And for some reason, he was even more handsome, more naturally graceful, more youthful. With eyes like lightning, his shoulder-length silver hair somewhat gave him a sort of demonic beauty. However, deep within his eyes flickered a dim ancientness and demonic nature.
Hearing his words, Baishe and the others let out cheerful cries and some, including Baishe and Mireya, cried in happiness…
“Welcome back… Master!!”

Charlotte Powers: Diary of a Would-Be Superhero
The journal of a girl who thinks she knows. (Spoiler: She does not know.) "...an odd combination of stream-of-conscious anxieties and high-flying save-the-world goals written by an overzealous, naïve teenaged girl in her wristwatch computer diary."-readers are better at describing stories than the writers who wrote them "When it's over you look up: the world looks the same, but you are somehow different and that feeling lingers for days."-bit OTT but I'll take it "...everything cannot just be good and then be even more good, in this story, right?"-100% accurate assessment "...the plot was bland and the character uninteresting. It was just a very dull read. I cannot recommend this book to anyone."-oh well can't win them all Discord for discussion. Complain about Charlotte's nonsense! Ship the characters! Do a thing! Now entering the second arc, Power Play. Things are getting serious. We're heading towards something important. Charlotte is still largely clueless. But she is trying so hard.

A trial to determine who is worthy to wield the power of gods in order to give humanity a fighting chance against the winds of fate. This novel was written 2 years ago and isn't exactly my best work. I'm still improving my skills, but I encourage you to enjoy it for what it's worth. ALSO, the whole plague thing was written about before the COVID pandemic. The plague is fake and actually magic in the story, but that has NOTHING to do with real world events. I am under NO CIRCUMSTANCE trying to make ANY kind of statement with it. Please just enjoy the story and stay safe.
