《Fantasial Apocalypse》Chapter 137: [ Monster of the Deep ]

As Allen stood on the Kraken, the water was soon up to his knees and he finally felt a bit weak.
Weaker and weaker as his whole body submerged even deeper.
His heart couldn’t help but beat faster. What if the Gillyweed was actually useless since he was a lightning human?
Would he die by drowning?
He couldn’t help but have this thought. This was a gamble, after all, he never heard about logia eating Gillyweed to dive underwater and survived.
As the water already reached above him, Allen felt his leg muscles trembled like he’d been running for miles and he fell down, exhausted. He couldn’t move his body as if something heavy was weighing him down.
He moved sluggishly and his face was pale.
Only one thing is fortunate… he can breathe.
However, he can’t move as if his body was a lead block!
He's sinking and sinking deeper into the sea.
Agathi noticed Allen’s condition and couldn’t help but become flustered. “Master?! Master, are you okay?”
She asked, worried. She immediately dragged him and tried to return to the surface.
“I’m fine,” Allen said, stopping here. “Continue towards that light.”
Allen gritted his teeth and mustered all his strength to point towards the light found at the deepest part of the sea. “Hurry.”
Agathi was worried but she didn’t dare to defy his orders. She urges the Kraken to dive faster as they got only at most 30 minutes under the sea. She even encased Allen’s body inside a bubble, as to his surprise.
The bubble was protecting him from any pressure or any kinds of attacks while his hand and waist were being held tightly by Agathi as if afraid he would wash away by the ongoing current.
The bubble helped him lower the sea’s aura that affected his body but it wasn’t to the point that it repelled it. Maybe because it was just a magic made of sea water so he was still affected somehow…
And it became worst, the deeper he goes the harder his body to move, so he has no choice but to rely on Agathi.
He was thinking of summoning Madam White as additional support but he stopped himself.
Agathi and the Kraken should be enough for now and if something really happened, then he would summon her…
--- ---
He spends his time looking around.
Allen was in awe.
This wasn’t the first time he had seen this scene but each time always felt like the first time.
A magnificent world filled with beauty, unlike the surface.
A world of its own, a water world without walls.
It’s inhabited by creatures of ethereal beauty.
He could see life forms with outlines like blown glass or colorful lanterns occasionally drifting past them, while small crustaceans hovered around like flies, keeping pace with their descent.
There were big and small creatures; colorful fishes, jellyfish, turtles, sea snakes, and much more. There were even odd looking sea creatures swimming freely.
Some ugly, some beautiful, some breathtaking creatures…
A wonderful world completely different from the world on the surface.
Allen didn’t know how deep already they were. He can feel his body tightened but weighed even heavier. Still, it was nothing for him.
He was Already Lv6 and halfway to Lv7 Superhuman. His body’s toughness is on a higher level. Even if he dived to an even deeper part, he would be okay….

Some monster tried attacking them as they go deeper but all of them were successfully repelled by the Kraken and even Agathi defended the bubble Allen was in, very seriously. Even little crustaceans couldn’t get past her guard.
Finally, they almost reach the bottom and the Silver Crystal they were looking for was floating at the top of a huge sharp looking rock spike. It was almost beside a deep trench that seems to go even deeper.
As Allen and the others walked towards that Silver Crystal, Allen could finally see the intricate engraving around the rock spike.
It was like a totem…
On the body of the rock spike, an image of a dragon with a snake-like body coiling around it, facing upward was engraved.
At the base of the rock spike was several beautiful stones, no, they were gems and corals. They were shining with radiant light.
Allen climbs at Agathi’s back and told her to swim towards the Silver Crystal.
Agathi tried to grab the Silver Crystal under Allen’s urging but the moment she touches it, her hand was repelled by a small shockwave.
And this shockwave caused a ripple through the sea.
Her hand was cut as if sliced by a blade causing her to let out a painful cry.
She could touch it but she couldn’t endure the mana and power the Silver Crystal possess.
Allen’s turn this time.
He reaches out with his hand being supported by Agathi and grabbed the Silver Crystal.
It let out a small shockwave causing some cuts and wounds to appear on his hand but it was not enough to repel Allen and he managed to snatch it successfully. But after he did it, a huge deafening roar reverberated throughout the entire area.
Not good! Allen’s eyes narrowed as a bad feeling rose inside of him.
Allen immediately ordered Agathi and the Kraken to return to the surface immediately!
Agathi also heard the dangerous roar and felt a foreboding feeling.
She immediately placed Allen at the back of the Kraken and ordered it to leave faster.
- Though, she actually swam back and took all the beautiful looking gems and coral at the base of the rock spike and put it inside her small pouch before catching up to Allen and the Kraken.
Not far away from them, a huge monster was rushing towards them.
It was huge with a mouth that could devour a seven story building in one mouthful. It has many tentacles and its speed was beyond fast.
It looked like the Kraken but at the same time not. It was far more terrifying than a normal Kraken.
Allen, Agathi and the Kraken returned to the surface as if they were flying.
But sadly it was still too slow.
The moment they had reached the surface, the enormous monster had already arrived behind them.
Its massive tentacles were like walls, encasing Allen and the others.
Before the Kraken was captured, it used its tentacles to grabbed Allen and Agathi and throws them into the sky.
Crunch!
The Kraken was devoured in an instant!
Thrown in the sky, Allen gritted his teeth and let out a loud roar-- Trying to regain the feeling of his body.
Not too far away from him was Agathi, screaming in fear but as soon as she saw the enormous monster, Agathi paled in fright.

As if her soul suddenly left her body, her voice gone and she froze in shock and fear.
In a heartbeat, Allen immediately transformed into lightning and reappeared beside Agathi, who was flailing wildly. He tackled her waist, catching her.
They were now falling but Allen immediately summoned Lan and used [ Beast armament ] equipping the [ Wings of Flames ] in an instant.
“Agathi, return to the Grimoire!” Allen said with great gravity. He had lost the Kraken and now he can’t lose his tamed beast.
The Kraken was just an undead but Agathi was not.
“But Master,” Agathi wanted to say something but she held it in and nodded. She knows she can’t do anything to help.
She turned into light and entered the Summoning Grimoire.
Letting out a sigh, Allen looked at the enormous monster below him.
It was huge, tremendously huge!!
Its tentacles are large enough to destroy cities with relative ease.
And unlike a bald head Kraken, this one has a humanoid face with eyes and a gaping maw full of many sharp teeth.
A behemoth class monster!!
It should be a monster similar to those from the legend of eating ships and destroying cities….
The real adult Kraken!!
Should he changed into [ Luan Eagle ] and become a bird by [ Monster Morph ]?
No! He wouldn’t be able to use his other skills besides Lightning, as he was originally a Lightning Human so he would become a Lightning Bird.
[ Monster Morph ] is an ability to transform into a monster but as a side effect, he wouldn’t be able to use skills the monster didn’t have, in exchange he can use every ability the monster he had changed into possesses.
Besides, he wouldn’t be able to maneuver freely, after all, he’s not use to bird’s form compared to his human form.
It would only give some slight disadvantage.
As Allen was thinking suddenly to his horror, the Kraken’s massive tentacles lifted upward and came towards him.
Allen immediately flapped his wings and transformed into lightning, dodging the incoming tentacles.
Roooooaaaaaarrr!!
Damn! Allen felt his eardrums almost burst out, halting his movements.
A tentacle came in a sweeping motion. Enduring the pain in his ears, Allen turned into lightning again and managed to dodge it at the last moment.
Then more came.
Allen desperately dodges everything.
Damn it! This is bad! Where in an open sea so he can’t find any footing. He can’t transform into his [ Thunder God Form ]!!
If only he knew how to float in the air!
Allen raised his hand, arcs of electricity running between his fingers, and blasted an incoming tentacle.
[ Thor’s Judgment ]!
[ Thunder Bird ]!
[ Thunder Dragon ]!
[ Raijin’s wrath ]!!
[ Explosion ]!!
Lightning after lightning struck the enormous monster but it only done little to no damage and only caused it become even angrier!
[ Explosion ]!
[ Explosion ]!
But [ Explosion ] seemed to be useless as it only burned a small part of the tentacle and didn’t do any much damage.
The lightning and explosion couldn’t pierce its thick skin, and even if they left a wound, it only lasted a minute; its bluish green blood would immediately stop flowing, and the wound would heal.
Instant Regeneration!!?
Gritting his teeth, Allen took his mask and stores it on the small pouch. His appearance immediately changed into his ‘Devil’ form, increasing his power and speed.
He then reached his right arm, and suddenly he was holding a sword—a wickedly sharp double-edged weapon.
The ridged grip fit his fingers perfectly.
He tightened his grip and his fingers crackled with electricity. Twirling it in his hand, arcs of electricity run from the hilt to the blade of the sword.
Above his head was a cloudy sky. The clouds changing from white to black.
Thunder rumbled through the area and golden lightning flashed, creating thunders that rumble like angry howls of beasts.
Allen looked at the enormous monster, swinging its tentacles around him and felt a bit of fear.
This was the first time in this second life he had felt this.
He could feel that it was extremely strong.
His senses were screaming at him warning him of danger. It wasn’t something he could deal with. Even if he used all of power and abilities, he was afraid it wouldn’t be enough.
This wasn’t a mere monster!
Was it possible that this was the one told in legends, the pet of the God of the sea; Poseidon?
The one said to be the offspring of the Titans Oceanus and Ceto?
That’s impossible!!
Of course, what Allen meant by Oceanus wasn’t the current king of Atlantis but legendary titan Oceanus in Greek Mythology!
As for whether if they were related, Allen asked that to him before but the Monster King of the sea just brushed it off with an enigmatic smile.
But beings of legends similar to Gods shouldn’t exist… as far as what Allen remembers.
Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Osiris, Isis, the original Medusa, and any beings in mythology shouldn’t exist in this world – Though that was only what Allen believe after all he had a first life and in that life, he had never heard of them existed, much less this guy!
But this monster, this power…
Roooooaaaaarrr!!
The roar that seems to have the power to burst his eardrums shook the entire sea.
Allen gritted his teeth.
He can’t just run away and escape. With the power of this thing, it will certainly chase him to the end of the world. And if he escapes to land, then, it will cause havoc on human settlements!
That would be bad!
Even so, he still needs to fight, at least until the moment he managed to find an opportunity to escape!
At least, an opportunity where it never saw what direction I escape to! In that case, even if it chased me, it would not know where to go!
He can’t defeat this!
“Qin!” Allen called out the Lightning Qilin.
“Master!”
“We need to fight.”
“As you wish!”

Re: Dragonize
After an unexpected turn of events, Drew must now survive in a world full of challenges with life-or-death stakes. Gone are the days when the biggest problems to face were awkward small-talk at physics department luncheons or mountains of lab work; this former physicist is now adrift in an unfamiliar land without any equipment. Now, Drew's only tool (if it can be called that) is a System, which provides constant reminders of all of the things that are still out of reach for a low-level being who's just arrived in a new world. Luckily, Drew has one powerful asset when taking on the challenges of this new world: surviving violent conflict is a lot easier when you have the power of a dragon at your disposal. Still, Drew has always considered violence a last resort. Why turn to fists (or claws) when a bit of quiet consideration might expose a better path forward? Maybe a life of quiet contemplation is still within reach for this former academic researcher. ...Or maybe not. It probably won't be a life of bloodless pacifism. Additional information for those who wish to calibrate their expectations (I'm adding this based on a few comments I received from readers who feel that the story is not what they expected from a dragon-themed story): Re: Dragonize is not a power fantasy -- or at least, it's not intended to be one. Re: Dragonize is a progression fantasy starting with a protagonist who must start at the bottom (or close to it), and work gradually upwards, making incremental progress with plenty of setbacks along the way. The protagonist, as someone coming from the world of academia, tends to be cautious, methodical, and contemplative. As such, expect this story to contain more than a few digressions as the main character takes the time to pontificate on a variety of topics ranging from Newtonian physics and horology to the nature of existence and the ethical dilemmas associated with being an obligate carnivore.

America has sealed itself off from the outside world, and inside its borders, a revolution rages. All it took was one incredible little machine. That machine turned into two, then four, then eight... like a virus, the replicators spread. As a work of oral history, The Good Crash features over 50 interviews with key witnesses to the events of 2027. The text is rendered in the words used by the interviewees themselves, with light editing for clarity and concision. As such, the book contains language and themes that are not appropriate for children.By capturing the voices to the people at the very root of the revolution, journalist and historian R. Vondersnitch has traced the origins and aftermath of the replicators' rapid spread. Crucially, the book also includes perspectives and testimony from those who attempted to stop the spread of the reps. "Some of these are heroes, too, in their own ways," the author writes in the book's introductory note.
