《Fantasial Apocalypse》Chapter 113: [ Monster Flood ]

“I also want to say the same to you, Ava.” Mireya let out a faint smile.
“Now, I think that I’m starting to know why Husband fell for you…”
Your love is… overflowing, irrepressible, and unable to be stopped. But just like a kid… you can only lash out your emotions in a very awkward way.
Mireya thought as she looked at Ava. She was the type of woman who loves more than she’ll ever get back…
Allen’s suffering, pain, and tears, you don’t want to see them again and so, you decided to end everything so that no one would be able to hurt him again…
But in that way, you are also hurting yourself… much more than you will do to others…
With one look at her, anyone would be able to notice it. She was already consumed by hatred…
You’re pitiful… so pitiful…
Blinded by love, Ava’s affection is too much for her own good. But because of this, once she saw her beloved hurt, the pain and hatred will grow inside her. And this pain and hatred will be too much for her and she will be consumed by it…
As a result, she would hurt herself and others without hesitation to protect the one she dearly loved.
It’s not wrong. However, it’s also not right. Love doesn’t mean you will give everything to your beloved but also to spare some for yourself and others…
But in Ava’s case, because of her love, her hatred overwhelmed her that she was unknowingly hurting herself. Although Mireya could somewhat sympathize with her since her love for Allen doesn’t lose out to Ava but she still knows how things stand.
She could still control herself and think of a better solution. In the first place, in terms of love, she wasn’t the feeling type but the thinking type.
In a sense, she came out better compared to Ava…
“But it doesn’t mean I will let you do what you wanted to do. Husband is fine the way he is.”
“Probably,” Ava turned around and started walking away. Shrugging her shoulders, she turned her head and looked at the Elven Queen. With a faint smile, she said,
“Falis, I will be borrowing your bed, I’m tired from the long journey, I want to sleep…”
“And, why my bed?” The Elven Queen frowned.
Ava stops walking and turned around, looking at the Elven Queen directly. Her voice teasing, “Or what is Allen the only one permitted to sleep in your room?”
“Ava!!” The Elven Queen roared. Her pale face flushed.
“I’m just joking~”
Listening to their conversation, Mireya who was sitting started laughing.
The current atmosphere was warm and cheerful, completely different from the tense atmosphere a while ago. It even looked like the serious matters before were just an illusion… though, all of them wanted to think that it was so.
This is the friendship of women, an enemy a minute ago but a minute later, there close as best friends.
Personal matters shouldn’t be affected no matter what happens.
… At least, for now, those things shouldn’t matter. Because, after this, when they face each other again, everything will not be the same-- At that time, not as friends but as an enemy…
With the world, love, and friendship at stake, the three of them walk in a different path.

Greatly hoping, that one day, those separated roads might end up converging in the same end.

Allen and the others continued their journey towards the Capital.
Along the way, Allen had received some pointers from Gao Butian about the Drunken fist style. Although he didn’t teach Allen directly, he gave him some hints and clues from time to time while coaching Gao Zuquan.
During the journey, there was no suicidal monster that doesn’t think about their lives since Madam White was following closely, emitting a terrifying pressure and chasing away all those monsters that might attack Allen.
However, after the sixth day since the encounter with the blue bird, Allen and the others noticed something strange.
The monsters they met increased as they continue forward.
Although most of them immediately run after seeing Madam White, still there was also those monsters who never cared and still attack. All these monsters were high-level ones and the weaker were at least Lv3.
Other than Allen, Tang Yu and the others started getting anxious.
Lv3, Lv4 and even L5 and Lv6 started appearing on the 8th day.
If not for Madam White and Allen, Gao Butian feared that they might have already been dead long ago.
But why is this happening?
What’s with this abnormally high number of high-level monsters keep popping out here and there?
While being cautious of the surroundings, the three people continued with a tense atmosphere.
“Just what is going on? Why is there more and more monster we met the more we got closer to the capital?” Gao Zuquan who noticed the weirdness asked Allen anxiously.
“… …”
“Young master, do you think something happened to the capital?” Tang Yu also asked.
Allen who was walking beside Madam White smiled unmeant. “It’s nothing serious…”
“Are you sure?” Gao Butian frowned.
After seeing this abnormal amount of monsters, Gao Butian believed that something was happening to the Capital.
“I’m sure…” Allen nodded.
“If I’m not mistaken, the capital shouldn’t be in trouble yet, after all, the [ Thirteen Aristocratic Family ] and [ Ten Hidden Martial Sect ] was inside the city. There should be a lot of experts to defend the capital…”
Allen answered vaguely.
Gao Butian and Gao Zuquan couldn’t help but frown upon his words. Allen’s words seem to be expressing that something is indeed happening in the capital…
After an hour of traveling while ignoring the monsters which were seen occasionally, Allen and Madam White perceived an abnormal number of monsters’ presences in their sensing range.
“Master…” Madam White called out.
“I know…” Allen nodded. He then turned his head to look at Gao Butian.
“…Hey Old Gao, is the Capital further ahead?”
Gao Butian nodded. “Yes, is there something wrong?”
“Nah, it was just as what I had expected.”
“Expected? What is going on?”
“A monster flood…”
“What? A monster flood?”
“Young master, did you say, a Monster Flood?!”
Gao Butian and Gao Zuquan asked with bewildered expression while Tang Yu’s eyes widened, surprised.
“What is a Monster Flood?”
“In simple terms, a huge group of monster gathered and was attacking the Capital.” Tang Yu explained in simple terms to Gao Butian and Gao Zuquan.
“Is that true?!”
“Hm,” Allen nodded indifferently.
“There is a lot of monsters ahead; it should be a monster flood. The Capital is attacked by monsters…”

Gao Butian and Gao Zuquan, who heard the information which Allen perceived, made a stiffened expression all of a sudden.
“Isn’t this bad?” Gao Zuquan fretted. She was now hesitating to whether continue or change course.
“Not really, the Capital was still standing. And many people were fighting over there…” Allen conveyed what he was sensing.
After a long time of discussion and consideration, the group obeyed Allen’s suggestion to keep on walking, albeit reluctantly.
Although Gao Butian and Gao Zuquan objected since it would be suicide but Allen was adamant on going forward. After all, the Capital was his destination.
Tang Yu, on the other hand, only obeyed whatever Allen wanted. Even if Allen ordered her to jump off a cliff, probably, Tang Yu would happily do it; in any case, she was confident to still be alive even if she really jumps.
There’s no question for Madam White’s decision. No matter where her master goes, she would follow wholeheartedly.
Gao Butian and Gao Zuquan could only sigh. Anyway, Allen is there, so maybe this decision wasn’t so bad at all~
After a little while, Allen and the others arrived at a huge clearing. It seemed like they finally out of the forest.
However, in there, a huge group of monsters was confirmed by sight.
Seeing this, the people behind Allen, Gao Butian and his daughter Gao Zuquan instantly paled. Even Tang Yu’s expression was somewhat distorted.
Not so far away from them, the group could see a huge wall and in front of that wall, stood dozens and dozens of monsters. Most were monster beasts while there were few humanoid monsters.
In front of them, yells and screams could be heard, and series of explosions and gunshots rang out like fireworks, signifying a fierce battle was breaking out in that place.
As Allen surveyed the area, suddenly his eye twitched and narrowed.
“Master!” Madam White also seemed to notice it and immediately coiled his body around Allen, as if protecting him.
Seeing Madam White’s actions, Tang Yu and the others were alarmed.
“Young mast--!”
But before Tang Yu could ask, Allen suddenly extended his hand, “Baishe, use your water breath!”
Hearing Allen’s orders, Madam White immediately opened her mouth and waters shot out.
As Tang Yu and the others were bewildered by these actions, they suddenly noticed two small things rapidly rushing towards them. But these small things were intercepted by the water breath and exploded!
Boom!!
A huge shockwave blast away the nearest monsters.
“What the!?”
“Younger brother Ye, what was that?”
“Two RPGs went our way… it seems like they were blindly attacking the monsters. We are almost hit by that.”
“Rpg?”
“Ah, from what I could see, it should be PG-7VL… anyway, I guess we need to join this fight to stop it~” As Allen said this, he raised his hand and touched his face, immediately his face skin color slowly turned into pitch black and a layer suddenly protruded.
It’s as if Allen was wearing a mask, a pitch black plain mask with only a pair of holes for eyes.
“I want to enter that city~”
Allen started walking forward.
After the sound explosion, many monsters finally noticed Allen’s group and immediately rush towards them.
If not for Madam White’s pressure, they would have already attacked.
Tang Yu nonchalantly followed Allen while Gao Butian and Gao Zuquan has mixed feelings. However, they still followed closely, if not they would certainly be torn apart by these dozens of monsters.
As Allen and the group were walking forward, more monsters noticed them and slowly walking closer.
Grrrrrr!
Groaaar!
Roooaaarrr!!
Rahrrr!!! Suddenly, one panther-type monster became braver and pounced, however, before it could reach Allen, Madam White’s long tail, send it flying away.
“Lowly monsters! How dare you attack my master, do you all want to die!?”
Shhhhhkkkk!! Madam White’s killing intent swept the area but it seemed like panther bro’s sacrifice didn’t go in vain as more monsters started attacking after seeing the courageous bro was sent flying.
They totally ignored Madam White’s warning!
“Bastards!!” Madam White roared in anger and several columns of water tornado appeared, sweeping the incoming monsters.
However, they were still some that had managed to dodge and pounced.
“Haa!”
“Hiyaaa!”
“Haa!”
Tang Yu, Gao Butian, and Gao Zuquan started fighting the monsters that managed to get closer and their fists and kicks danced in the middle of the battle field.
Unlike Superhumans, cultivators were mostly melee type fighters. They were good at close-combat and only a few are those able to use long range Qi techniques.
Swords, spears, staves, throwing weapons, they proficient in using these kinds of tools.
On the other hand, Superhumans are mostly all-rounders.
With supernatural powers, they can do a lot of things – however, these skills can’t be shared nor passed down unlike cultivation manuals, skills, and resources.
Superhumans might be more amazing compared to Cultivators due to their supernatural skills that defied logic, but normal Superhumans only possess one, two or three types of these skills. And these skills might be considered useless and weak.
An existence like Allen who possesses many different abilities and even most of them were high-level skills are considered an anomaly!
He was completely different from normal Superhumans after all Crystals are not that abundant. Where would you be able to acquire ability other than Crystals?
There some ways but that is still as difficult as dying several times!
So normally, it’s none. That’s the truth. Except, Allen’s replication type ability existed~
Cultivators, on the other hand, can learn many types of techniques, though mostly close-combat skills, as long they were given cultivation manuals or taught by other cultivators.
Tang Yu and the others started showing some strange techniques and even Tang Yu’s hidden weapons were showcased in all of its glory!
After a few minutes, surrounded by monsters, Tang Yu, and the others started showing some anxiety and exhaustion. Their movements became even more restricted and constrained.
Allen, who all this time was just standing on the sideline while watching the battle and being protected by Madam White, finally, nodded his head.
He didn’t do anything and let Tang Yu and the others fought because this fight can strengthen them. But now that they were feeling tired and all, Allen decided to move.
Anyway, Madam White was also starting show some hint of fatigue from summoning several water tornadoes.
Allen extended his hand and summoned his grimoire.
“Go out and play, Ape, Lightning, Xinghong, Yun, Tiaowen, and wind wolves. Go and earn some experience~”

Recruit - An Infinite Labyrinth prequel
A prequel to The Infinite Labyrinth. The year is 1816. The British Empire is in full swing, under the auspices of King George III. The Infinite Labyrinth has been pouring out its product from beyond our reality and fostered a new industrial revolution. Times are changing, and the people of London are feeling the winds of the revolution while British Professionals push into the Labyrinth. The newly formed Artefact Hunting Company is looking for recruits, and they have new technology to help them. From the slums of London, they aim to recruit a new wave of Professionals. And make Zacharias and the Earl of Carnavon lots of money. So, for Rowan Rivers and a handful of lucky ones, it's time to head into the Labyrinth, and discover what makes it different from England. And what makes THEM different? Recruit is a bunch of chapters I wrote to create to the setting, mood, and game systems of the Infinite Labyrinth. It is NOT a complete story in the classic sense. It's more of a slice of life view of early days of a normal Professional from the Infinite Labyrinth, and it's heavy on info-dump. It's 90% canon - there's probably a bit of a difference between how some characters and common behaviour are portrayed here and how they'll come out in the main story. Set two years before the events that kick-start the main series, it features some of the secondary/peripheral characters of the Infinite Labyrinth and will tell you all about the basic mechanics of the Labyrinth's RPG system. It can be considered a spoiler, as the characters in the Infinite Labyrinth are going to need to figure out all that, on their own. But if you like a much deeper exposition in the mechanics, here it is. The entire prequel is about 80 pages long.

Kill the Harem
I was never a person who struggled with anything. Whatever I wanted to achieve, I achieved, except for finding a good reason for living. That was until I died. Perhaps it was karma, or perhaps it was some particularly sick god. I woke up in a world full of magic and encountered all these women who became romantically obsessed with me. It bears an uncanny resemblance to those garbage isekai series that I had the misfortune of reading in high school. The problem is, I loathe isekai. It got to the point where ever time I read about a busty elf-girl wanting to follow the protagonist, I wanted to throw something. It's illogical and it ruins the flow of the story. But now, I'm the one getting harassed by such illogical people? What complete and utter drivel. If any obsessive crazy person tries to make me theirs without even caring about my opinion, I'll f*cking kill them! I'll kill them all! I'm getting back home no matter what. My favorite manga hasn't finished yet and I want to read it to the end. Q&A Section Q: Is the protagonist mentally healthy? A: No, not even close. Q: Are all the female characters stupid? A: Barring extenuating circumstances, nobody rational would fall for a guy like the protagonist, so there's a bit of selection bias going on here. Q: Is this about a Gary Stu killing a bunch of irrational harem characters in a cliche isekai world? A: Go reread the title and the synopsis. Q: Do the women die because they won't sleep with the protagonist? A: No. I'm not sure where anyone got that from since it's entirely the opposite of what happens.
