《Fantasial Apocalypse》Chapter 75: [ Lime ]

In a blink of an eye, a bronze book with rusts on each corner materialized in front of Allen.
It was floating in the air and a [ Summoning Grimoire ] was engraved in a golden color in the center portion of the thick cover.
That’s right! What Allen gained this time was unexpectedly a Grimoire!
And not just a Grimoire but a [ Summoning Grimoire ] which perfectly compatible with his class!
Luck is not enough to call this time’s fortune!
Perhaps this is the divine intervention…?
Grimoires aren’t that rare for Allen. Although actually, it was certainly very, very rare to find a Grimoire, Allen had already seen several people owning such things before.
Grimoire is very valuable and often found inside Special-Crystals but it could also be found in Ancient ruins, magical space or places and other dangerous places.
There were many kinds of Grimoires and they were absolutely very powerful.
Fighting-Type Grimoire, gave the user powerful fighting abilities, strong body, superhuman reflexes, and agility.
Magic-Type Grimoire, enable the user to cast powerful magic recorded in the book. Even if one is not a magic user, as long as there is a Magic-Type Grimoire, anyone can cast very powerful spells.
The third type is the Spirit-Type Grimoire. This Grimoire is special and so they were much rarer compared the two before it.
This Grimoire holds some kind of spirit inside, whether it was a historical hero, ancient powerful people, Gods, Goddesses, Fiends, Devils, Nemesis, and et cetera. The spirit inside will either wholeheartedly support and help the user or take over the user’s body and mind to once again walk on the surface of the world.
These three are the only known type of Grimoires as far as Allen could remember.
And now, the one in front of him is something he had never seen before. Whether it wasn’t found in his previous life or the one who managed to found it had kept it a secret to his grave.
As you know, possessing treasures isn’t a sin but anyone knowing it could bring oneself a disaster.
--- ---
Allen controlled the book with his mind and immediately the cover flipped open.
It hadn't been moved by hand, nobody was touching it. Allen’s hand was after all still tied down.
And yet it moves on its own.
It was almost as if the wind had flipped the page for him.
This fact proves Allen’s conjecture. Allen could control the book as if it was his limbs. The book became a part of him.
On the first page was his portrait.
Below it, his status was written: Level 1 [Apprentice].
Under the [ Apprentice ] words, there was a simple line of Rank Description.
Apprentice: The novice of the Summoning world. You are yet to step into the realm of being called a true summoner. Work hard to become the true Master of Monsters!
Skipping over the rank description, the next half page started with a big golden word saying [ Innate Skill ].
Under the [ Innate Skill ] word, a picture of a hand holding a sword while different kind of weapons could be seen in the picture’s background.
[ Equip Skill: Infinity Armament ]: Can distort reality through thoughts alone and create any kind of weapon as long as the user desires. However, this requires a vast amount of concentration to accurately model a thought into reality with it.
The complex the weapon is, the harder it is to create and longer the time it takes.
Current Level: 1
“?!!” Allen almost raised his voice from shock.
According to the knowledge passed to Allen by the Grimoire, [ Innate Skill ] is greatly related to the user’s character and skill.
And judging from this skill, Allen had deduced this skill was mostly attributed to his [ Equip Skill ] since this skill was Allen’s greatest skill in his previous life and which he relied on the most.
This Skill was just learned, so Allen must try it immediately.
From the information, he received from the [ Summoning Grimoire ] Allen first picture a simple knife in his mind.
1 minute.
2 minutes.
Still, nothing happened. Cold sweat appeared on Allen’s forehead and his brows slightly furrowed finally after three minutes passed, the space in front of Allen suddenly twisted. It looks as if the air itself was suddenly distorted and then a simple looking knife materialized.
Allen opened his eyes and looked at the knife floating in front of him. Although the time and effort were too consuming, Allen was still satisfied.
This kind of side effect will eventually disappear as long as he leveled up this skill.
When Allen disabled the skill, the small knife disappeared with a ‘poof’.
Allen nodded his head with satisfaction while smiling excitedly. He then ordered the [ Summoning Grimoire ] to turn the next page.
As if responding to his order, the book flipped the page on its own.
On Allen’s surprise, the next page was a beautiful portrait of a woman.
It was a picture of a beautiful silver haired woman wearing a silver tiara seemingly made from ice.
The woman depicted in the picture was wearing a beautiful white dress. However, what’s strange was on her back was a black hooded figure.
The face revealed inside the hood was a skull. On its hand was a long silver scythe made from ice.
Below the portrait, there were a few lines of description.
[ Guardian Spirit Beast ]
[ [ Ice Queen ]: Queen of the Damned and the ruler of [ The Lost ]. She had the ability to control ice and freeze anything in the world.
She was once a proud Queen but with the loss of her lover because of her hesitation, she blames herself and was filled with guilt and remorse. She put her kingdom in an everlasting snow, freezes all the people living on there and encased herself in an ice coffin that would never melt.
The Gods had pitied her but at the same time was angry of what she had done. They throw her in Hell and became its Queen.
A lonely Queen, drowned in loneliness and longing, eternally waiting for her lover’s arrival.
Summon Duration: 1 minute. ]
“Ice Queen.”
Allen muttered in a daze. This name gives him a strange feeling he can’t understand. As if he could remember something and yet couldn’t. It was a very familiar feeling…
Shrugging his shoulder, Allen flipped the next page.
Seeing the picture on the next page, Allen’s eyes widened in surprised once again.
Another beast!
A Twin Guardian Beasts!
But what made Allen surprised was not this matter but the picture is drawn on the next page.
A purple slime.
“Lime!” Allen subconsciously cried out.
Because of this, a sound of falling rang out from somewhere but Allen ignored it.
The picture drawn in the page was none other than [ Lime ].
Allen’s most loved and reliable monster!
[ Lime ] was a rare dual attribute, poison-metal slime which was a very dangerous monster.
It could change its form and transform into any weapon. And the best part, every weapon it transformed secretes a terrifying poison that can even kill a mammoth in less than an hour.
But why is Lime here inside the [ Summoning Grimoire ]?

Below Lime’s portrait was a few lines of description.
[ Guardian Spirit Beast ] [ Lime ]: A slime variant possessing two rare attributes; Poison and Metal.
Status: Inactive, Dormant, Passive.
What is going on?
At this moment, Allen suddenly remembered Lucy’s strange words.
“… but still, I’m actually surprised to see you again so soon. Not just that, you even brought ‘something’ along with you from ‘that’ world.”
At that time, Allen didn’t understand what she was referring to ‘something’ and just shrug it off.
‘That’s the problem. I always found it odd too, until now that is.’
That’s what she also said when Allen asked about Lime’s whereabouts but if what he was thinking right now is correct then maybe…
Lime was in fact, transported along with him and was now living inside of him…?
!!?
Realizing this fact, Allen thought about the strange thing that happened to his body after he and Alkrasha fought for the first time.
Mia had told him that he was almost dead when his body suddenly secreted mucus like substance and covered his wounds, slowly healing them.
This wasn’t a one-time event but already happened a few times. When he was fatally injured, his body would secrete this substance and heal his wounds, just like what happened just now.
Allen was certain that he doesn’t have that kind of healing-type skill.
If so…
Isn’t that right… you’ve been with me since the beginning, haven’t you, Lime?
Ever since the moment Allen first entered this world… he noticed many strange things.
How did his [ Equip ] Skill, transported along with him? And all those times when he was fatally injured and barely alive, how did he recover when he doesn’t have even the most inferior instant-regeneration type skill?
If so…everything makes sense!
Lime was silently protecting him…
That was you, wasn’t it?
Allen doesn’t have the time to think about things he doesn’t know about because a sound of crawling was getting near. The Arachne should be coming towards him right now.
Well, there’s not even any proof that this hypothesis of mine is correct.
However, if Lime truly is still alive within him… then, there’s only one thing he wanted to say.
Thank you for being with me, buddy. Please take care of me from now on too…
As if responding to these words, Lime’s portrait shone before the [ Summoning Grimoire ] disappeared with a ‘Poof’ sound as if it was just an illusion.
--- ---
The moment the [ Summoning Grimoire ] disappeared, Allen turned his head around and saw the Arachne slowly and warily walking towards him.
Although the place was dim and dark, with his enhanced vision, he could still see quite clearly.
The Arachne had a waist length black hair and six pairs of eyes; a pair of black eyes with the other on four on her forehead.
She had an upper body of a female human and a lower part akin to that of a big spider.
“Human, you’re awake aren’t you?” The Arachne asked warily.
Allen found her vigilance humorous that he almost let out a chuckle. She was like a little girl.
“Ah, I’m awake… more like what do you want from me?”
“Y, you can understand me?!” The Arachne jump in shock. “…y, you’re even speaking in our language! How?”
Allen raised his upper body and changed into a sitting position while looking at her.
At this moment, Allen was speaking in a monster language. Although there were strange humans who could speak monster language every now and then the Arachne was talking in Insectian; Spider language. Of course, the Arachne would certainly be surprised.
Just like humans, monster language was also divided into different languages. Insectian that only Insect-type monster could understand, mammal or animalia, Reptilian and many other languages.
For a human like Allen to speak an Insect Language so fluently was so surprising. If Allen could instead speak in mammal language or Animalia, the Arachne wouldn’t be surprised since these languages are common… but insectian?
This language is the hardest to learn since it was very complicated!
Allen, of course, could talk in monster language easily since this was one of his innate skills acquired from the Lord Class [ Monster King ]. However, as for speaking in Insectian, although he could already understand one from his previous life as for speaking like its natural, this could be greatly attributed to Alkrasha.
Since conquering Alkrasha, a new panel appeared on his skill list; [ Insect Physiology ].
Even without looking at the [ Status Plate ], Allen still knows every special skill he had. Although not as specific and detailed like those shown in the [ Status plate ], Allen could still remember every skill he possesses.
[ Monster King innate skills ], [ Equip ], [ Skill Replication ], [ Explosion ] [ Invisibility ], [ Dexterity ], [ Beetle Buzz ], [ Enhanced Vision ], [ Flesh Food ] and the newly acquired [ Insect Physiology ], [ Heavy Legs ], [ Liger’s roar ] and lastly [ Lower Poison Immunity ].
Aside from [ Insect Physiology ] which he had gotten from Alkrasha, he had also acquired [ Heavy Legs ] from a Red-fur Fang Bear; a passive skill that increased his legs’ strength and power, [ Tiger’s Roar ] from SaberTooth Tiger which gave him an ability to release a shockwave attack from his mouth, intimidating every enemy and lastly [ Lower Poison Immunity ] a passive skill from a purple scaled Snake. These are the monsters he had encounter along the way and by using the skill [ Skill Replication ], he had managed to replicate their abilities.
Sadly, the [ Skill Replication ] is just too stingy if not with many monsters he had fought until now, he might have acquired even more useful abilities!
These were all of the special skills he had acquired. If anyone knows this fact, they would certainly cry blood in jealousy.
Even with just the [ Monster King ] innate skills alone, it was already enviable but with all these other skills, Allen was one of a kind.
“So what do you want from me?” Allen nonchalantly asked.
“Y, you! Do you know what your current situation is? I, I will eat you, you know!” The Arachne instantly became flustered.
“You’re one of the black widow tribe… aren’t you?”
“How did you know!?” The Arachne was taken aback and couldn’t help but step back in fear.
“As expected…” Allen nodded his head in understanding.
Amidst the Arachne monster tribes, there was a tribe who had a very scary tradition. In order for an Arachne to become a full fledged adult, the Arachne would be sent outside their village to hunt humans.
And not just normal hunting. They will find human to mate with, losing their chastity, either by force or not.
You can call it a one-night stand.
However the catch is after the mating ends, the human mate will certainly die because of the poison in the Arachne’s body that will be transferred during the intercourse. This terrifying toxin could kill any human in just a few minutes – though there seem to be several humans that survive from that. These people are either had the power to resist poison or possess high-level poison immunity.
But this poison was still not the end, even if you somehow survive the poison part, the Arachne will still need to kill you. The reason? Because of nutrients!
That’s right! The Arachne will devour you or should literally say, drink your essence.
That is the real coming-of-age ceremony for the Black Widow Tribe – though, drinking the mate’s essence isn’t really that necessary, after all, as long as one could find an alternative to give the Arachne the nutrients they needed, they would not be needed.
This is because, when the Arachne successfully transferred the poison to others, their strength would be depleted along with the poison. To avoid being killed from energy depletion, they needed to supplement with something else and the best way to do that is to drink the mate’s essence.
“…and that’s that. So you want to assault me?” Allen tried very hard to endure laughing at this moment. This is reverse rape.
“But I should warn you beforehand, you wouldn’t be able to kill me…”
“You! How did you know about that!?” The Arachne’s voice became loud. Although her face was kinda pale, a bit of flushness could still be seen on it.
This Arachne is really inexperienced. Allen mused.
Allen ignored her flustered appearance. “What’s your name?”
“… …” At this moment, the Arachne was starting to hesitate.
Although before she hadn’t felt anything but now that Allen woke up, she suddenly felt a pressure emitting from him.
That kind of pressure makes her dread and for some reason, it was kinda similar to the one she felt from her mother, the tribe chief.
Just what is this human? Did she actually mess up?
“Hey! I’m asking you~” Allen said as he started sizing her from head to foot.
The Arachne’s heart was now beating faster. Allen’s calm appearance strengthens her doubt and suspicion.
He was no push over not like what she expected.
“R, Raya Idoria…” The Arachne answered while slowly stepping back. She was a coward, to begin with, but facing Allen now, she started to lose her courage.
The pressure was no half-assed. It was like looking at a tall mountain…
“Hm? Idoria?” Allen muttered in shock. “…If I remember correctly, that’s the surname of one of the Arachne Chiefs, [ The Sound of Pain ] Lumeria Idoria… how are you related to her?”

Author's Note #4: This is the old, hastily written version. A great magician from the Human Kingdom travels west to fight the Demon Kingdom. After rushing to help support the Human Kingdom capital against the assault, the magician is met with the sight of his beloved city razed to the ground. The magician fights off whatever invaders he can, using whatever tactics he knows, but he is eventually felled in combat due to the superior abilities of the invaders. However, death is not the end! The magician reincarnates, awakening as a citizen of the empire which conquered his home! Author's Note #3: Okay, that's the end for me. This is too boring for me to continue writing, and I've gotten back to writing Reborn as a Dungeon Core in an Apocalyptic World. At 26,772 words, this has gotten too boring for me to continue. I'm probably going to take this basic story and rewrite it into something way better w/ longer chapters, but at least I had fun for the six days it took to write this much. PS - Love the reviews; they're great. Way to go, dude with 22 thumbs up and 0 thumbs down!
