《Fantasial Apocalypse》Chapter 39:[ He’s a Pandora’s Box! ]

Inside the conference room of Camp Leon Kilat:
“…I see, so these crystals really do exist.” A voice coming from one of the monitors spoke. The monitor was showing a middle-aged man.
“Yes, sir!” Major William answered.
Inside of the room was a huge oval-shaped table and around it were several soldiers and one of them was Major William whom Allen met.
There are also four monitors in the room and all of them were showing different people.
“…let’s put the existence of the crystals aside, what do you think about that youth? Is he trustworthy?” another man in one of the monitors asked. His voice wary.
“I believe that he is trustworthy, sir!” Major William answered.
“But you said that he possesses an incredible power. This alone makes him dangerous…”
“But sir,” Major William frowned.
He already realized where this is going. And so he needed to stop this once and for all if not, the worst outcome would certainly come through.
“I believe we can’t make an enemy out of him sir! You should have seen the videos, he possesses some terrifying electric power that could even defeat a huge monster so easily!”
“… …” With those words, the man fell in silent.
The videos Major William was talking about was the battle between Allen and the [ Titan Ape ] that was taken by a CCTV camera that was supposed to be for traffic accident purposes.
Although it wasn’t complete and only showed the middle portion of the battle before it was fried by some kind of electric attack, it still shows how terrifying the power the black clothed youth possess.
For additional information, the first person to discover the video was Lt. Colonel Mayla Flores and the intelligence corps who was in the Technology department at that time, watching the monster’s activities all over the region through the CCTV cameras installed in some buildings, electric pole and others.
“Now that you mention it, where is Lt. Colonel Mayla. I want to ask some things regarding the video…”
“About that sir, she left to find Mister Allen.”
“For what? Didn’t she know about this conference?”
“She knows… but she said that escorting Mister Allen is also an important job.”
“What? What’s impor---”
“Enough Colonel Corpuz. Didn’t you remember Lt. Colonel Mayla isn’t someone we could direct? Anyway, as to what we needed to do right now is to decide what to do with this youth. Do you have any ideas?”

“We need to use him! Someone like him is something very important for our country!” One man reflected in the monitor immediately responded.
“We can’t do that! Didn’t you read the report? That youth had some connection to the divination princess of the Bianchi Family!”
“That is why! We need him not only for his power but because of his connection to the divination princess! Remember, the Bianchi Family was originally just a mere organized crime syndicate but now, they are one of the most powerful groups ever since this event happened!
We could make use of this connection to our advantage!”
“Sir, forgive me for being rude but I suggest to not being impulsive.” Major William spoke.
“Mister Allen alone possesses enough power that could exterminate us easily. If we made him turn this power against us, I don’t think we could afford the consequences!”
“…Major William is correct. Besides, we can’t touch that youth. I haven’t told you about this yet but we received a message from the divination princess herself a few days ago.
‘Never touch Allen Bando’ it says.
We don’t know who this Allen Bando before so we haven’t spread this information yet but now that he appeared if we touched him, the Bianchi Family would certainly bear their fangs towards us… and that would be the worst scenario. The country is still unstable due to the monsters appearance and creating a friction between us would be bad.”
“It seems this youth is very important to the divination princess for her to contact us personally.”
“That is why we need that youth! With him, we could control the growing Bianchi Family!”
“Are you an idiot Captain Otanes?! It’s easier said than done! That youth possess power we couldn’t imagine and controlling that is like controlling a nuclear weapon! That is very dangerous, we should let him be and maintain the status quo!”
“Are you afraid, Brigadier General Castillo?” Captain Otanes mocked.
“The Bianchi Family developed to the current state because of the existence of the divination princess! It was rumored that this little girl possesses clairvoyance and several supernatural powers that we couldn’t understand… and now, the Philippines possess someone with the same existence! Do you know other countries that had the same Superhumans? We still don’t know!
But we have one!
We could use this to raise the Philippines from its rank!”
The whole room fell into silence. It was quite tempting but just like what the previous said, ‘It’s easier said than done!’ one misstep could lead to eternal damnation.

“Haaa~ it’s too much of a risk. History already told us not to force things or else it would result in something unexpected.
Let things be, it will eventually turn to its proper course.”
“Tsk! You are all just afraid to take a risk.”
“Then what, Captain Otanes? Will you take responsibility if everything turns into the worst outcome?” cut in a strict-looking woman.
She was a Commodore of the Philippine navy and was known as the Femme Fatale of the Philippines.
Commodore Camila Ramos then spoke up in annoyance.
“Captain Otanes, being possessive and ambitious is good but you should first make sure you won’t be burned by it. Regret is not something to be felt before but after…”
“Tsk!”
“Enough.” Suddenly, a heavy voice remonstrated the people who were talking so vigorously that they might have bitten their own tongue.
It was the voice of the highest rank present on the conference Lieutenant General; Bonifacio Pascual!
“Gentlemen, Captain Otanes has a point… but we can’t do anything blindly. We don’t have enough information about this youth; Allen Bando.
For now, he’s a Pandora’s box…”
!!?
“He could be holding onto our hope but at the same time, he could be bringing our own destruction. I believe we need to think hard before we make our actions…”
Hearing those words, Major William let out another heavy sigh.
Moments like this really show how powerless he was.
Lower ranks like him had no choice but to only listen to the upper ranks.
As long as the army is an ‘Organization’, there’s still a limit for him being just a Major. In front of these people, he doesn’t have anything to say…
But even so, they should’ve realized already!
They really can’t make any move directly against Allen Bando.
With the Bianchi Family backing him as well as the unknown power he possessed, it’ll only take one move from him to make the whole country in chaos!
“… …”
“…To be honest, we still don’t have any idea what exactly he can or can’t do. So the best thing to do for now is to observe him… I believe Lt. Colonel Mayla is doing that as we speak!”
Several men listened, before nodding their head, appearing to approve.
“Lt. Colonel might appear easy going but she’s certainly a fox… a shrewd one at that.”
“Be careful with your words Major Gonzales. If those words were heard by the Major General you will certainly be ordered to clean the men’s toilet for a month!”
“Ah that sucks! Speaking of the Men’s toilet, I recall having our budget increased but why did the toilet still stink and smell like a sewer? Where’s the hygiene project the General proposed before?” one of the men sitting on the conference table complained.
“Well, don’t know~ maybe the budget was drained from the sewer into the pocket?” The Femme Fatale; Commodore Camila answered through one of the monitors.
“Nonsense! Gentlemen, cease this kind of conversation, you don’t know who is listening. Or maybe you wanted to clean the Men’s toilet personally?”
Several men immediately shut their mouths while shrugging their shoulders.
“But the Major General is just too doting on her daughter…”
“It’s not our problem. Besides, even though she’s normally just doing what she wanted, Lt. Colonel’s abilities couldn’t be questioned… she’s the real deal…”
“If that’s how it is, then let’s leave this youth Allen Bando to her. That would be for the best…”
“I think so too…”
“… …”
After reaching a decision, another new one popped out. “The matter regarding the crystals… we need to find these things immediately!”
“That’s right! We need to make locating of these crystals the top priority. With all this and done, we should’ve realized that with the state of this world, these crystals will become one of the most valuable of assets of any superpowers.”
“But finding these crystals would be difficult since we are still in the middle of organizing the whole country! Does anyone have any ideas?”
“Well, we could divide our forces for the safety of the civilians as well as another group for locating these crystals.”
“But that would slow the process of evacuating all the citizens into safety…”
“We don’t have a choice! These crystals are too important!”
The discussion inside the room became even more heated up that it almost suffocates Major William but he still endured it.
Yawning, he suddenly thought; Ah, Lt. Colonel Mayla sure has it easy…
That woman should have been enjoying her time right now…
Thinking like this, Major William endured the whole conference for almost over four hours. He then thought; maybe he should quit after all…?
