“Who are you!?” One of the soldiers asked. His voice cold and seemed to be threatening.

“It’s proper manners to introduce yourself before asking others, you know,” Allen replied nonchalantly.

“You bastard! Do you know who we are?!” another soldier raised his voice.

“Don’t just spout a third rate villains lines, it would make every proper Filipino soldier look bad.”

“You bast---”

“Enough Manny.” This time a heavily built soldier spoke. His eyes were serious and stern.

“Hey, is that thing real?” he asked as he looked at the Hecate hanging on Allen’s back.

“That’s not something a kid like you should be playing with. Where did you take it? Did you steal it?”

“Nope, I didn’t. It’s mine, to begin with.”

“Huh? Are you kidding me? You should give it back to us, it’s not somethi---”

“What did you say?!” one soldier rushed towards Allen but he was stopped by the man beside him.

He then looked at Allen with an amiable expression.

“Hey kid, come on. You know these are tough times and us soldiers needed weapons to protect people like you. That rifle of yours and the gun that girl is holding, you should better hand it over to us. You can’t use those as well as we can.”
