Crackle!

In a broken electricity pole, with black wires curling in the ground, sparks of electricity appeared. The electricity accumulated and then grows taller and taller until it reached human size.

And then, in a split second, the cluster of electricity turned into a human figure and afterward became a black clothed youth.

It was Allen.

Using his power of electricity, Allen teleported from the Humvee to beneath the giant [ Titan Ape ] by using the surrounding’s electric wires.

The [ Titan Ape ] was going berserk. It was destroying everything in his path; building, roads, trees, it went mad from anger. The [ Titan Ape ] could still feel the pain on its shoulder and it felt humiliating.

That human! I will tear him to pieces!! If the [ Titan Ape ] could speak, it would surely scream those words.

Looking at the frenzied monster, Allen smiled coldly.

“Lv5 monsters and above possess cores called [ Magic Cores ]. Judging from the [ Titan Ape ]’s nature, it should be a [ Power Core ]. Though it’s just a Lv5 core, it’s still a good thing~”

Now then…

“…what to do?” I can use [ Raigo ] or [ Deathpiea ] like the original Lightning human but it would certainly erase this city in the map and I can’t possibly do that…

Looking at the frenzy monster that seemed like a scene with Godzilla on it, Allen scratches his head in a loss. Having destructive power is good but sometimes, if not regulated well, it would surely become something bad.

Should I continue on using slightly weaker attacks…?

Crackle!

Allen’s lightning power inside his body suddenly exploded and immediately his body was violently flickering with a thick electric current; as if an electrical dragon was coiling around his body.

Under the pressure of the powerful electric current, the atmosphere around Allen seemed to have distorted.

Allen with his lightning abilities could reach a top speed that exceeded the speed of sound.

And he brought out that top speed from the very first step.

Boom!

By the time the explosive noise rang out, it was already too late.

From the perspective of one’s bodily senses, Allen seemed to just disappear. And since he was moving faster than sound, one could never react in time based on sound.

His whole body then reappeared on the back of the monster’s head.

Golden sparks flew from Allen’s entire body. His raised his right arm and swung it downward. It was the same motion as that used in a sidearm throw in baseball.

Golden lightning was condensed above his arm and then transformed into a spear-like form. It moved as if following his palm.

Crackleee!!!

“Taste this! [ Zeus Lightning Bolt ]!!!”

Bzzzt! Crack! Bzzzt!!

With the roar of the air bursting, the lightning spear directly struck the back of the [ Titan Ape ]’s head. Not even the monster was able to ignore that. The high voltage-current passed from the back of his head and then rushed throughout its entire body.

Groaaaaa!!!!

The monster’s body trembled as if convulsing while releasing a very deafening roar.

When the lightning flashed past, the electricity upon the monster’s body disappeared as it fell on its knees.

But unexpectedly, it was still alive. Its whole body was already scorched and emitting burning smells and yet it was still alive.

It’s tough. Allen cursed as his body slowly descended from the air.

Allen still couldn’t fly using his ability and so staying mid-air is impossible. However, when his body started falling, it suddenly moved sideways, completely defying the law of gravity as if attracted by something. If Sir Newton witnessed this scene, he would certainly cry.

Upon contact, Allen bent his legs and pressed the bottoms of his feet against the wall of a destroyed building and slid down with tremendous force. This was [ Magnetism ].

By using electric currents and the magnetic moments of elementary particles, Allen gives rise to a magnetic field and using this, his body would be attracted to the metal supporting the building like strong magnets.

He decelerated so quickly it was amazing orange sparks did not burst out. While detecting the stench of leather being burnt by friction, Allen finally killed his falling speed and came to a stop at two stories up.

He was standing sideways as if it was natural while looking at the giant monster.

The [ Titan Ape ] finally saw the human who almost made him die of anger as it starting to bellowed. It rushed with long strides and swung its huge arm, completely destroying the whole building.

However, before it struck, Allen has already disappeared. His whole body submerges inside the building as if the wall was an illusion, easily passing through.

When the building was destroyed, Allen reappeared on the ground, looking at the huge monster.

Ah! A sudden thought struck him.

Allen takes out a small ball from his pocket. It was a very small metal ball the size of a small kiddy marble but when Allen touched the small button on its center, the metal ball became bigger.

A fist-sized ball, roughly eight pounds in weight. The top of the ball is red. The bottom is white. There is a black horizontal band circling the ball. There is a light gray colored button on the center. It resembles a particular monster ball from somewhere.

I have intended to see if I can acquire another skill by luck but, I have changed my mind. If I succeed then copying skills from it would be redundant and useless~

Smiling mischievously, Allen gripped the ball but as soon as he prepared to throw it towards the [ Titan Ape ], Allen suddenly frowned.

“…shouldn’t I say something before I use it…?”

Right!

“Go, Pok*ball!” Without fear of getting sued, Allen cheered loudly.

He lobbed the ball so that it would hit directly to the [ Titan Ape ]. The poke ball bopped on the monster’s waist, and as if it was a black hole, the poke ball opened and sucks the monster inside.

The poke ball dropped on the ground with a ‘plop’ sound and began to wobble.

Allen waited with sparkling eyes, but unfortunately, the poke ball once again opened and the monster came out.

Groaaaa!!!

The [ Titan Ape ] began drumming its wide chest with its two arms while roaring loudly in the sky.

Looking at this scene, Allen’s eyebrows twitched. “Hoho, so you want more discipline… huh…”

Bursting in annoyance, Allen’s face twitched as the electric sparks around him began to glow brighter and stronger.

To say he was furious was an understatement. He was expecting to get his new poke- I mean, a monster but it failed? What a shameful thing!

How dare it refuse this genius?! The sound of crackling electricity filled the air as he held his hand up, lightning danced around it.

The sky began to rumble as dark clouds rolled in effectively covering the beautiful crimson-blue sky.

“If you don’t want to die, then submit to me!”

It was just on a whim but now, Allen decided that no matter what happens, he must make this gorilla submit or else his pride as the greatest monster tamer in the world would be hurt!

The familiar scent of an incoming lightning storm blew into the city. His lips curled into a smirk when seconds later, a large lightning bolt crashed into the tree in front of him completely frying it to a crisp.

Electricity began to surround his body, crackling as it discharged around him.

The electricity surrounding him grew with force.

With a deafening roar and a loud crackle of lightning, “[ Thor’s Judgment ]!!”

Boom!

A huge lightning descended from the sky.

Groaaa!!

The [ Titan Ape ] struggled and then stomped his left foot right at Allen. But right before it struck, Allen, encased in lightning, disappeared.

The [ Titan Ape ] angrily stomped his foot into the ground causing it to cracked as if there was just a 6.9 earthquake magnitude happening.

Allen ignored it and reappeared on the top of the monster’s head. He stretched his right arm and grabbed its head, “[ 100 Million Lightning Volt ]!!”

Booom!!

Bluish-white electrical discharge flowed from his hand to the monster’s head and then to its whole body.

Groaaaaa!!

The [ Titan Ape ] bellowed in pain.

“Not enough! [ Thor’s Hammer ]!!” Allen raised his left arm and then swung it downward, tossing a dozen meter-sized hammer, made of lightning at the monster. The giant hammer smashed the monster’s head.

Groaaaa!!!

The monster couldn’t fight back as its whole body gone numb from being electrocuted. Its eyes turning white and blood started leaking from the corner of its wide open mouth.

“Final Blow!” Allen yelled as he charged his power. “[ Vajra ]!”

A golden lightning falls from the sky to Allen’s hand. It then transformed into a club with a ribbed spherical head. The ribs were separated and end in sharp points.

Gripping it tightly, Allen stabbed it on the monster’s head dealing a devastating blow to it.

Boom!!

A huge thunderbolt struck the monster from above!

The [ Titan Ape ] convulsed as if epileptic and its eyes were already gone white. Lightning crackling and spring around its whole body, steam coming off as it fell on its knees and then to the ground.

Its whole body twitching and trembled.

“Salutations to the supreme king of Devas!” Allen softly muttered as it looked at the fallen monster which was giving off a burning smell.

“Now then, before you kicked off the bucket~” Allen once again took the monster ball and throw it on the [ Titan Ape ].

Just like before, the monster ball instantly opened and sucks the monster inside before it closed and falls on the ground. The monster ball wobbles for a minute until it finally stopped and the lights shining from its center button deemed down and eventually disappeared.

Allen smiled, happiness swelling in his chest as he picked up the monster ball. Another monster was now tamed! Allen thought as he raised the monster ball into the sky.

“All right! I got a [ Titan Ape ]!!” Allen declared. Unfortunately, lightning isn’t here to raise its arm and add ‘Pika!’ though sadly it couldn’t say that~

As a tamer, there are two ways to tame a monster. First is by following the class skills in taming, mainly befriending a monster and taming it using your skill. Though most tamers instead forcefully capturing and taming it using the class skills.

Another type was to use a monster ball. If a monster is violent and would be very difficult to tame, you can use a monster ball for assured success. But before that, one needs to weaken the monster to increase the probability of success.

However, a monster ball is very expensive and could only hold one monster at a time. If used, the monster ball couldn’t use again to catch another monster. But there was also a huge disadvantage in using it. Aside from the success in taming, the monster that was captured using a monster ball wouldn’t need to increase its loyalty to use it in battle.

The monster will automatically view the owner of the monster ball as its master would never betray. That was also why many tamers wanted to us a monster ball to tame a monster instead of relying on their skills. Unfortunately, monster balls are very rare items and only people with extreme luck might be able to find a special crystal that stored 1 or 2 of it.

Allen, on the other hand, relied on his connection with Lucy who sells this kind of commodities. That is why Allen had a total of 13 of them in the previous life to which other people specially tamers could only feel envious of.

In a side note, as soon as the monster ball was used by someone to capture a monster, it will automatically register that someone as the owner of that monster and only the registered owner could use that specific monster ball.

It won’t be lost and would eventually return to its owner even if it was stolen by someone until the owner died.

If in case the owner died, the monster inside the monster ball will automatically regain its freedom.

“Haa~ it’s a pity I can’t take the core though~” Allen sigh bitterly. Now that he decided to capture the [ Titan Ape ], getting its core is already a lost cause. He just can’t kill the monster he painstakingly captured.

“Well, it’s just a Lv5 core anyway, I can just take another core when one appeared~”

At this moment,

Ding! A familiar sound like ringing bells echoed in Allen’s mind.
