《Fantasial Apocalypse》Chapter 31: [ Flor ]

Dead silence enveloped the place.
No one moved.
The eyes of the people present including Aileen and Alicia widened in shock to the supernatural phenomena that just happened in front of them.
A youth released electricity like some sort of superhero in movies and stories. The children who saw the scene started cheering and shouting like ‘A superhero!’ or ‘Electric Man!’ with their eyes sparkling like shining gems.
Allen landed on the ground with poise.
“Move it.” He said as he covered himself with electricity.
Although Allen could defeat no matter how many monster fries came but because of how his abilities; Whether it was his Lightning, Explosion, and Beetle Buzz, all of it was very destructive, Allen feared that he might involve the people not far away from him. Thus, he wanted to intimidate all the monsters in the surrounding and make them run away without causing a fight.
Fortunately, after showing his [ Monster King’s Prestige ] and surround himself in electricity, all the monsters got frightened by the pressure and immediately turned tail and run away.
All the monsters present were only Lv1 – Lv2, if there were Lv3 and above, his skill would surely not take any effect.
Looking at them, Allen let out a sigh of relief as he turned around calmly and walked towards the group.
“Y, you… I mean, thank you for helping us…” a middle aged man wearing khaki green colored uniform said.
He is a massive and bulky middle aged man around 45 – 50 years old. He had a clean cut short hair, with a black goatee and brown eyes. The contours of his face were fine and sharp.
Although he has many questions, he knows that this was not the time for it and bowed to Allen before issuing several orders to his men. A good soldier!
Aileen and Alicia went towards Allen were the former looked at him with a confused expression while the latter was looking with admiration.
“Allen, when did you have that kind of skill?”
“Hmm, just a while ago~”
“Uhm...excuse me, could I have a minute.” While Aileen and Allen were talking with each other, the middle aged man who thanked Allen before suddenly came back and called out.
“Yes?”
“Although I have so many questions I want to be answered but, for now, the well-being of the civilians comes first. First of all, I wanted to thank you for saving us and… may I know your name?” the middle aged man was polite…
Did he consider my power and decided not to treat me like a kid?
Allen mused on the man’s insight.
“Of course, please call me Allen.”
“Allen then…do you… possibly wanted to come with us back to the camp?”
“Yes…that’s my intention since the beginning.”
For now, Allen wanted to assist the group and protect the civilians. And so, going with the group is a welcome matter.
“Is that so…then please come with us.”
The middle aged man led Allen and the two girls towards a four-wheel drive military light truck. From Allen’s memories, this vehicle was called High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV), or commonly known as Humvee.
Allen learned a few things while talking with the middle aged man. It seems like his name was Major William Garces.
At this time, he was tasked to protect the civilians left in the Dumaguete City and safely led them to the Evacuation Center which was located in Tanjay City.
While walking, Allen noticed the gazes pointed at them – actually, at him. Whether it was soldiers, civilians; adults to children, all of their eyes were aimed at him.

“Ahm, that is…” Major William asked while looking at Allen’s left shoulder.
In there was a never seen before creature on Earth. It looked like a fat rat.
The big rat was almost about half a meter in length.
For scale, its body was about as big as the big dog’s head. Besides its pointy snout and slender tail, its whole body resembled a yellow ball. It was standing while grabbing the black clothed youth’s left cheek affectionately, causing all the onlookers to feel that it was harmless and somewhat… adorable.
When it looked at Major William in front of it, it suddenly trembled. It snuggled on Allen’s neck and did not dare to budge.
It looks really cute.
“This is my tamed monster…” Allen smiled nonchalantly. “…it’s harmless.”
By Major William’s lead, Allen, Aileen, and Alicia inside the Humvee.
--- ---
Leading the way was a Type 73 light truck, with a High Mobility Vehicle (HMV) behind it, four large military trucks and a Light Armour Vehicle (LAV) at the very back.
In simple words, the two in front were jeeps, the middle was large military trucks and the one behind was an armored vehicle.
Allen and co. were seated in the HMV in the middle of the convoy.
“Mister Allen…” A voice called beside him. “Are you what they call a…psychic or maybe a superhuman…?”
“I’m just an ordinary human…is what I’d like to say but due to some things in play, I’m able to use supernatural powers. When we arrived to our destination, I will explain this to you.”
“…is it the crystals you’re talking about?”
“…?”
“Actually, we received information about various things, especially about these silver crystals that said to be able to give anyone different supernatural powers as well as magical items. But as far as I know, because no one was confirmed to have found even one of these things as of yet, we are still unable to confirm their existence.”
Allen nodded his head. They should be talking about Mia’s doing...
“Are you talking about the Bianchi Family from Italy?”
“Hm?” Major William tilted his head in confusion. It seems like he doesn’t know about it. “…actually I don’t know. Regarding these things, only the higher-ups have the right to know.”
“Fair enough…” Allen paused for a moment and then took his Hecate into his arms.
“…First of all, there are four types of crystals that I know…First is the Skill Crystal and we call it, S-Crystal. The abilities that I have was given by these crystals.
These crystals hold different abilities that were ranked from E to S, where E is inferior and S is deemed superior…”
Major William nodded his head in understanding. He was listening very carefully as if he was scared to overlook any word Allen was saying.
If one looks closely, one would find every people inside the Humvee were also pricking their ears to listen.
“…Second, is the Item Crystal or commonly called as I-Crystals. This type of crystal stored amazing items and equipment often called Artifacts. Artifacts were also categorized by class; normal, rare, mythic, Legend and God.
Third, the Class Crystal or C-crystals. These crystals gave anyone a specific class and skills corresponded to it. When you possess a class or profession, you will be able to increase your strength and power when you are wearing the items relating to your class.
For example, if you have a Knight Class, if you wear armor or swords, you will feel extremely comfortable and receive additional strength. This also goes for the skills. If you managed to acquire a skill corresponding or just a bit related to your class, then these skills will be strengthened and attained new heights.”

“This really sounds like from a game…”
“That is right.” Allen nodded his head. “… This might sound absurd but it is the truth. The world we are in right now is similar to a game; the only difference is that when you die you will die for sure. There is no do-over or reset. You can’t change your class either or change your skills after acquiring them.”
“… …” Major William nodded in understanding.
“Right, lastly the Special Crystals. These types of crystals don’t belong to either the first three types. You can say that this type of crystal is a lottery. You won’t know what’s inside unless you use it… mostly these crystals hold useless or one type use items and skills. However, there is also a chance that it holds something incomparable to the first three crystals.”
Just like my Devil Fruit!
“…On this type of world, these crystal hold a very significant value in our survival. This Hecate also came from the Item Crystal I acquired and its usage is greater than normal guns…”
Allen raised his Hecate to show it to Major William. The latter was very curious and took the gun in his hand to examine every detail of it.
“…Unlike normal guns, my Hecate didn’t need any maintenance, it will always stay in a good condition. Its power was also double that of a normal Hecate and as for ammunition, my Hecate will automatically reload after every 10 seconds.”
“Really?!” Hearing the youth’s words, Major William’s eyes sparkled as he inspected the rifle on his hands. His eyes sparkled and a heavy desire surges upon it. “Do you think…”
“No, I won’t give or sell it to anyone. It’s my partner.” Allen instantly cut him off.
“A pity, it’s a good gun.” Although Major William wanted it, he didn’t dare claim it. The black clothed youth beside him might look harmless but upon seeing that kind of performance, he won’t dare to fight against him.
He even thought that this youth might be able to exterminate them with no problems…
Allen took back his Hecate from Major William who reluctantly let go while smiling wryly. Although he didn’t show it on his face inwardly, he was so satisfied in boasting his Hecate~
“Mister Allen…why do you know so much about these things…?”
“… …” Allen paused for a moment. “…I had a very close friend who told me about it, well if you want to know about them then just ask your superiors about Mia Bianchi. She was the little princess of the Bianchi Family from Italy…”
“Bianchi…family…?” Major William wore a bewildered look. He wanted to ask something but then suddenly,
“Sir, a smoke at 10 o’clock!”
“What?!”
Allen and the others immediately turned their head. The first thing that caught their eyes was raising columns of black smoke.
“…what’s happening there?”
Allen kept his eyes on the smoke in the sky and softly muttered “Yup, it’s all burning. Did someone create a campfire?”
Well, sadly no one minded his joke as everyone including Aileen and Alicia was looking at the direction of the smoke intently.
Flickers of fire could be seen in the midst of tall building.
“Sir, I heard some screams and roars coming in that direction!”
“!?”
“Survivors?”
“I think so too…sir!”
Allen stood up within the Humvee and pointed his Hecate towards the smoke. Peering through his scope, Allen couldn’t help but widened his eyes in shock.
- there was a single tiny silhouette fighting several monsters.
Adjusting the scope, Allen could see a girl brandishing a black sword covered in blood and was desperately fighting several monsters. Her body was littered in cuts and wounds and was almost literally bathing in blood.
“Black sword…no way, is she that Flor?”
“Sir, what should we do?”
Major William pinched his nose between his thumb and forefinger, rolling it slightly.
What should he do? Going into that battlefield with a group of civilians is utterly impossible. However, if they split their forces now, they would be similarly in danger…
Should he ignore it…?
Major William was steeling himself for the sake of the dozens of civilians they had. Compared to the people with them, the life of just several men is inferior, but he just can’t decide to abandon those lives…Man, he really wants to push this responsibility to someone.
That might be so, but, unfortunately, there was nobody present who was higher-ranked than him.
Major William let out a bitter sigh, “Remained alerted, we will continue our path…”
He decided. There’s just too many monsters gathered there and he just couldn’t sacrifice the safety of the people behind them for who knows how many civilians…
No one objected to Major’s decision and only nodded in approval. They then loaded the magazines for their rifles.
Hearing this decision, Aileen and Alicia couldn’t help but frown. Isn’t this too heartless…?
They wanted to speak but they were suddenly stopped by Allen.
“Major William.” He called out.
“Yes?”
“I will go out for a while; I will leave my companions in your care.”
““““What!?””” not only Major William, even Aileen and the rest stared doubtfully at Allen.
“…I won’t go for heroic reasons but because I know someone there. Although I don’t think she would die that easily, I need to go there…”
History already stated that she wouldn’t die here and so she wouldn’t. What Allen wanted to do is to take her with him!
“But Mister Allen…” Major William frowned but as if he realized something, he suddenly nodded. “Leave them to me.”
“Thank you…” Allen smiled.
“Allen! Take me with you!” Aileen voice out. She was holding her carbine while looking at him with burning eyes.
…but Allen shook his head. “Aileen, stay here. They will need you here more than there. I’m just going to take a look…not going to fight~”
Before Aileen could answer, Allen’s body released a blinding light that looks like lightning and then… disappeared!
Aileen could only look at the empty chair while grinding her teeth in frustration.
It’s always like this! She was always left behind and now… Allen’s power was already beyond her, no it’s like she was looking at a mountain, a very tall mountain that she couldn’t fathom.
This frustrates her too much! Didn’t she stay here to watch and accompany him?!
Looking at this situation, it seemed like she was nothing but baggage! She couldn’t do anything but to only watch him running past behind her…
Aileen gripped her carbine to the point that her hand became pale white.
