《Fantasial Apocalypse》Chapter 6: [ Silver Crystal ]

A chance!!
This was Allen’s goal. If one looks closely to the bullet's trajectory, they would be shocked silly because all the bullets that Allen shot off, struck the same position from all this time. And that was the Blood Spider’s leg joint.
In this split second, Allen struck. Without hesitation, he soared into the air, then quickly and viciously bent down and attacked.
To someone watching, it seemed as if his movements completely violated the laws of inertia. In the blink of an eye, he landed on the giant Blood Spider’s back.
“Allen!!!” Mia screamed as soon as she saw him. What is he doing?
Allen put back one of his guns and took a knife instead and struck it at its abdomen, creating an open wound.
CRYAAAAAA!!!!
The Blood Spider’s deafening painful wail echoed inside the room as it tumbled and desperately shook its body in order to cast Allen off its back. However, Allen holds on and hugs its wide body.
Laying in the top of the monster while holding for dear life and with just a small mistake could lead to death, Allen was still quite calm.
Fears death?
Why did not know, in the ‘Past’ where he had lost everything, for him, death wasn’t enough to fear. Instead, perhaps death was a kind of extrication for him, but after going back in time, he finally had a greater anticipation to survive.
That is why he will not die here!
That was not a decision but a resolution.
At this moment, Allen took out a small pineapple shaped object from his pocket, pulled the pin on its top and violently inserted it on the wounds opening.
This was the beginning. All the mistakes I made in the past, I will correct it all in this lifetime!
“Get down!!” Allen yelled just as he leaped from the wailing Blood Spider.
BOOOM!!!
With an explosive noise, the Blood Spider’s abdomen explosively expanded and in a blink of an eye, an intense shockwave was emitted in all directions.
The monster, a Level 2 Blood Spider had been blown up at the hands of a flesh-and-blood ordinary high school student.
However, Allen did not have time to enjoy that fact.
“Gwaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!”
Allen jumped with all his might to escape the explosion, but he did not escape unscathed. He was still struck by the shockwave. He doubled over and was tossed a few dozen meters before landing.
In the room, an untimely rain appeared, but this rain wasn’t water but by blood and flesh washing over the whole place.
Intense pain ran through Allen’s head and his sense of hearing was almost completely gone. A burning pain covered his entire back. He frantically rubbed his eyes as his vision was filled with pure white and tried to find Mia who must have been in a similar state collapsed nearby.
He then heard a clanking noise from somewhere.
“Are you crazy!!!?” A voice echoed inside the room as Allen’s collar was grabbed by someone. It was, of course, Mia whose hearing was still a mess.
“What kind of idiot uses a grenade inside of a room he’s in? What would you do if we got caught up in it and die, you bastard!!!” her screams were perfectly justified as she really didn’t expect an idiot would really use a dangerous thing like a grenade beside him!

"Hm? Sorry, could you repeat that?" Allen dug his ear and spoke loudly as he pointed to his ear, “I can’t hear you, my ear is still buzzing.”
"I said, are you crazy!?!!" Mia roared.
"Ah...... can’t hear clearly. Right now my ears aren't doing too well. Compared to that, Mia, what's wrong with you? We won but why do you seemed like you've seen your bf going out with a dinosaur?"
“I don’t understand what you’re talking about!!!”
“Well, anyway, it would be fine. That bastard’s carapace is tough so it should be able to contain the explosion within.”
Mia asked with an "Are you joking?" expression, but Allen nodded his head earnestly.
At this moment, Mia was currently engaged in a mental struggle over "Was she the Mad Princess, really? He seemed to be more worthy of that title compared to her."
What he just did was nothing but a lunatic would do. He was insane!
"Mia, what's the matter? Don't be so melancholy. We won! We defeated that bastard!"
"You're right......"
Mia suddenly looked exhausted, which was perfectly natural considering Allen who just did something ridiculous was perfectly at ease.
Seeing him, Mia thought.
In the end, the final gasp was not decided by power, magic equipment or supernatural abilities, but by one’s mentality. In short, insanity in this insane world is the most needed.
Whoever is craziest would survive.
--- ---
“Yes, this is me…I see, good work… what about the one from the hospital I told you? Not yet? Oh well, nevermind. You better take that crystal; I need it…okay…”
Tot tot…
“Something happened?” Allen asked while walking towards the floating silver crystal in the center of the room.
After the monster, Blood Spider was defeated; Mia suddenly got a phone call from somewhere.
“Nothing, just a report from my men that they successfully acquired one crystal.”
“Oh, amazing. As expected of the princess of the strongest and most influential mafia in Italy, how evious~” Allen said in a monotone. Although he was talking as if he was jealous, his expression never changes.
“Why do I feel as if you’re mocking me?” Mia shot him a cold gaze as if telling him, she was ready anytime to take her gun and shot him dead.
Allen shrugged his shoulder nonchalantly and took the floating crystal.
[ Equipment: Wolverine’s Claws! ]
[ Equip ]
A transparent screen like those from an online game appeared in front of Allen.
“An I-Crystal.”
“Oh, what class?”
“I don’t know but it should be a rare class because it says, [ Wolverine’s Claws ]” Allen replied while throwing at her.
“[ Wolverine’s Claws ] huh~ another classic.” Looking at the crystal in her hands, Mia couldn’t help but smile wryly.
Most [ Rare ] class artifacts she had seen before, for some reason most based on famous superheroes. Although there’s at least 20% or more artifacts based on myths and legends and 10% based on children’s cartoons. However, this 10% is slightly inferior from the other artifacts and seemed to be mostly for fun.
In fact, she had also gotten Dora’s Bag that could hold a capacity double that of its size before.
“Well, from its name it should be a melee-type so I’ll take this~” While saying so, Mia turned her gaze from the crystal to Allen.

“…you have no problem, right?”
She asked but from the tone of her voice, she wasn’t asking instead she was declaring.
“I really like your honesty~” Allen could only answer while smiling wryly. Well, not that he cared about it. Although he was also versed in close-combat he preferred long reached weapon if necessary.
Smirking, Mia pressed the [ Equip ] word on the screen. Instantly, the silver crystal shone a bright white light and after a few moments the light gradually diminished and disappeared leaving a pair of gray leather gloves on Mia’s hands.
[ Wolverine’s Claws ]
[ Rare-Superior ]
[ A pair of gloves that replicate the hero’s Wolverine’s Claws. This pair of gloves possesses six retractable one-foot long steel claws, three in each glove.
Just like the Hero Wolverine, the user can, at will, release these slightly curved claws through the gloves on each hand. ]
“Lucky~ it’s a Rare-Superior class artifact~” Mia happily muttered as she excitedly worn the gloves to use it.
As expected of a magical item, when Mia wants to release the claws, it automatically unleashes three sharp steel claws from her knuckles in split second.
“This is a good thing~” Mia praised while playing with her steel claws.
“Glad you like it.”
--- ---
“He, Help me…”
“Pl, Please help us…”
“Help…”
… …
As Allen and Mia were talking, voices began appearing.
“Ah, yeah I almost forgot~”
Hearing this, Allen took his knife and started tearing down the giant cocoon-like spider web that was struck in the wall. Mia, on the other hand, used the sharp claws on the back of her hands.
Male and female students appeared one after another as soon as the huge cocoon-like things were cut by Allen and Mia, greedily swallowing mouthful after mouthful of air as if they were just saved from drowning while crying.
There was even some fishy stench floating in the air as soon as they got out, and considering the wetness of some certain part of their bodies, it goes without saying just what it was.
After a few minutes of tearing the cocoons that were struck in the wall, Allen and Mia saved over ten people composed of male and female students. As for the other cocoons, only mummified bodies of humans and goblins alike were found.
“13 students, I guess they were lucky~” Mia counted.
The students prowled in the ground and were still crying wildly, hugging their knees like children.
“Hey, listen properly.” At this moment, Allen’s cold voice resounded, breaking the depressing atmosphere.
All the students looked at him.
“I don’t care what you are feeling right now, but if you don’t want to die then stop wailing like a little child there and stand up.”
Allen could understand what they are feeling right now as he too was also like that when he first experienced the apocalypse but…
This wasn’t the time for self-pity.
This was the reality!
In this kind of world, no matter who the enemy may be, those who can't adapt will be the first to die.
“Stop acting like a sissy and get up. This is still not a safe place for you to cry your hearts out.”
Allen’s cold words pierced the student’s heart and seemed to have ignited their anger as they looked at him in hatred.
“Just who the heck are you?!” A quite good-looking boy suddenly stood up and glared at Allen while pointing his finger.
“Don’t just act almighty just because you saved us! Do you---” He started cursing him but before he could finish what he was saying, a loud ‘Bang’ rang out in the whole place.
After the noise, a bullet flew towards the good-looking boy and struck his shoulder. Painful screams once again resounded in the room, causing all the crying sounds to stop.
Allen’s eyes traced the sound to the source of the bullet.
There, at the source of the bullet stood a young girl smiling but her gaze was cold.
“Mia,” Allen muttered the girl’s name.
“He’s so annoying.” A girl’s voice that seemed void of emotions echoed inside the room.
Mia stepped forward while pointing the rifle towards the boy who was wailing painfully in the ground and said, “There are two things in this world that I hate the most.
One, I don’t like cheese put in my pasta.”
Gyaaaaaaahhhh!!! Mia nonchalantly stepped on the boy’s bleeding shoulder.
“You, you b*tch! You’re going to die! Do you know who I am? I’m the son of the M---” The boy started shouting his threats but unfortunately, the one he threatened wasn’t a normal girl but the princess of the strongest Mafia Family.
Spilling blood wasn’t something they feared, much less in this new world.
Mia ignored him and pointed the rifle in his face.
Seeing this, the boy’s face instantly paled and lost its color.
“…Second, no one cursed at ‘My’ people.”
“Wai---”
Bang!
In a blink of an eye, a bullet made its way through the boy’s skull. His eyes widened as it could be, seemingly did not want to believe that he had died.
“……..”The room went quiet.
Everyone was dumbfounded from shock as they couldn’t help but started with widened eyes.
Then,
Kyaaaaaaahhhhh!!!!
A wave of screams rang out in the room as the students immediately moved away from Mia. Intense Fear reflected in their eyes.
Of course, Mia ignored this as her lips curled into a smile. Her face was radiant as if she just satisfies a craving.
She turned around and looked at the youth who was looking at her with cool eyes.
Mia suddenly revealed a ferocious smile as if saying ‘How’s that?’
Her arrogant look made it seem like she owned the entire world. At the same time, she was staring intently at Allen’s expression, hoping to see looks of shock and admiration from his face.
Praise this beautiful lady. Hurry, hurry…
With this thought in mind, Mia’s eyes blinked even faster.
However, Mia was bound to be disappointed. After blinking all day, she realized Allen had failed to receive her intentions, turning her melancholic.
Allen only shook his head as if he was giving up on her as he turned around.
“Lunatic.” Allen, who had his back facing Mia, said. When he said those words, his expression was no longer a dull one, but that of filled with affection and smiled faintly. Although he only revealed this look in a flash as it changed back in a blink of an eye.
Unfortunately, Mia did not get to see Allen’s expression or else, she would’ve teased him the whole day.
“Cheapskate.” Mia could only pout while raising her eyebrows.
