《Fantasial Apocalypse》Chapter 5: [ This was Life! ]

Allen abruptly removed the guns from his waist, aimed it at his front, and pulled the trigger.
Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang
Series of gunshots echoed in the bloody hallway.
Ratatatatatatata
Beside him, Mia also pulled the trigger of her rifle. The scene was very tragic as if it was a place of a real battlefield.
Bloods and corpses everywhere that could make anyone vomit, but for some reason, no tragic expression appeared on Mia’s face.
There was no fear, no hatred, and not even resignation on her face.
Her face was almost expressionless.
She was like a lunatic.
Gyaaaak!!! 4 – 5 goblins fell to the ground after letting out a painful cry. There were still several 8 – 9 goblins left, standing behind.
They were shivering in fear as they looked at the two youth’s overwhelming power.
Seeing them like that, Allen put his two guns in its holster and took two knives instead.
In the first place, Goblins are just small fries but even so, they are very dangerous if they were more of them. They are the type of monsters that became stronger and terrifying if their numbers increased.
But now that these monsters are reduced, this is the best time to train his close-combat. In addition, bullets are not infinite!
There’s no reason to waste it all to these small fries.
Mia stopped shooting and looked at Allen. It seemed like she liked his idea because her mouth turned into a radiant smile.
She took a military knife from her right leg and held it in reverse gripped.
Allen looked at Mia. Her striking smile greeted him.
There wasn't anything particularly strange.
This was life!
With that as a signal both of them charge towards the goblins.
--- ---
Negros Foundation High school. Allen was a freshman in this school.
This school was divided into four floors.
First floor for freshmen.
2nd floor for the sophomore.
3rd floor for juniors and,
4th floor for the seniors.
From Allen’s ‘Past’ Knowledge, there were two crystals on the first floor but he doesn’t know what type these crystals are.
And now, after killing their way through, Allen and Mia finally appeared before the 1st crystal. Inside the classroom, a white diamond shaped crystal was floating in the center.
It should’ve been great but there was one problem…
Inside the classroom was a two-meter giant black spider with red lines that looks like veins.

Monsters and demons can’t use crystals to acquire skills or items like humans but because these crystals exude a huge amount of mana, they are always attracted to it.
That is why, wherever crystals are, there would always be monsters guarding it.
“Blood spider” Allen bitterly called out its name.
It was a Level 2 monster
“Any plan?” if it was in the ‘Past’, this kind of monster would be a walk in the park but this time was different. They didn’t have that kind of power right now, so for them, this creature was a very strong enemy.
Allen paused for a while and look around the classroom.
The classroom was filled with white threads encompassing the whole place, creating a huge web inside.
There were also some things stuck in the wall. These things were covered in silk like thing and some of it was even slightly moving.
There should be humans inside it. Allen concluded.
This was how spider stores and preserve their foods.
But still, from what I know, even if they were monsters they were still the same as spiders. Then they should not have great eyesight and only use the vibrations from their web to locate their prey.
But even so, just touching it a little would surely cause some vibrations. So I guess there’s no surprise attack if it inside this small room.
Thinking about it, Allen couldn’t help but let out a sigh.
Confronting this kind of enemy in their current power was insanity.
Allen scratch the back of his hair then turned towards Mia who was standing beside him.
“What do you have?”
“?”
“What I mean is, do you have something that could kill that thing in one shot?”
“If I have something like that, do you think I would stay here and just watch it? Do you think I’m Supergirl?”
Hearing her sarcastic remark, Allen just shrugged his shoulder.
Then, suddenly, as if he had thought of something, he snapped his fingers with a ‘pachin.’ There’s also that~
Not knowing what Allen was thinking, Mia let out a sigh. “Anyway, we can’t fight it right now. Might as well look for other crystals with slightly weaker guards, we might find some good skills.”
“Is that so?”
However, Allen continued to smile even in that hopeless situation.
“But I have thought of a plan.”

Allen returned his gaze towards the huge spider which was sleeping beside the crystal while Mia looked at him with a shocked look in her eyes.
“Oh, what plan?”
“Simple, attack it~”
Is what he said.
“… you’re crazy.” Hearing his plan, Mia’s eyes widened and her mouth turned into an ‘O’.
Yeah, the plan was simple, in fact, very simple.
“…All we need to do is, CHARGE!!!”
And with that, Allen entered the classroom!
“You…you’re crazy!! You’re a lunatic! I can’t believe this!"
"Although they called me Mad Princess, in fact, you’re madder than me!”
"It's ok Mia. There's this saying in the bible. 'There is nothing to be afraid of. Just have faith.'" Allen said while giving her a thumbs up!
"This isn't the time for that!”
“Hey, relax!! We can finish this discussion after killing that monster!!”
--- ---
As he spoke, the youth charged into the battlefield.
Before them stood a two-meter monstrous spider.
They were just normal average humans without supernatural abilities yet.
But still…
This had become a normal day for them.
The two crazy lunatics had another monster to fight.
--- ---
In an instant, at a speed impossible to follow with the naked eye, Allen removed his gun and shot.
Bang Bang Bang
A series of gunshots rang out inside the classroom and a few screams soon followed.
“Is anyone there?”
“Help!! Help me!!”
“Help me, I’m the son of the mayor if you he---”
Bang Bang Bang
Screams resounded from the things stuck in the wall but Allen and Mia ignored it and continued shooting the giant spider.
Cryaaaa!!!
The Blood Spider seemed to have gotten enraged as it crawls towards the nearest enemy which was Allen.
Ratatatatatata!!!
“This is not working!! Its carapace is just too fu*king hard!!” Mia’s shouted at Allen.
That is right! The bullets they fired just bounced from the spider’s body and it wasn’t even doing any damage at all.
This was also the same as in the previous life.
Because of monsters having metal-like thick carapaces or skin such as insects, ogres, and many other monsters, the earth descended into further chaos. The reason, of course, was due to the ineffectiveness of conventional weapons in the face of these monsters.
Even the ultimate weapon of humanity, the mushroom bombs such as nuclear weapons, became useless in front of higher class monsters.
After several years of desperate fighting, the Earth’s population had declined and human civilization was on the brink of annihilation. Thus, humanity entered its last stand.
And so, the only option was for humanity to rely on crystals to gain stronger equipment and abilities and nurture people that would be called…[ Superhumans ]!
But it wasn’t like human weapons and guns have lost its effectiveness. It only matters in the kind of monster it faced against.
But still, Allen was not listening to Mia’s complaints.
He did nothing but put distance between him and his enemy while keeping that enemy in his range of vision.
He felt like the blood vessels in his head were going to burst, but his expression never showed any anxiety or desperation. Instead, in this kind of hopeless situation, his mind is surprisingly calm and clear.
The Blood Spider attacked Allen, but he easily dodged it by leaping to the side while continuing to fire his gun.
He speedily ran circles around it as if he was playing with it. If his opponent had been an ordinary human, he would have already been struck silly as Allen’s movements seemed to hold some type of illusion to them.
By moving in a zigzag motion, sudden acceleration and then deceleration, it made it difficult for one to completely sense when he would stop or the direction he was moving towards. This was Allen’s custom skill, [ Phantom ].
It was not a supernatural skill or special ability. It was just a mere footwork he created and practiced. Although because of his current pathetic physical body, he could still not used it perfectly like before within this 3 days, he can somewhat do it.
A sly smile crept into being at the corner of Allen’s lips. He had complete control of his attack frequency and center of gravity and could change both at any time. Any brainless fool who attacked him would immediately fall for his trap much less a monster with low intelligence.
Allen rapidly shot until his magazine ran out.
"Ahhhh!"
Whoosh… Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang…
Cryaaaa!!!
The Blood Spider suddenly lets out a painful cry as one of its hind legs was suddenly cut off when the last bullet struck it.
A chance!!
