A teenager with sharp blue eyes is standing on the edge of a forest, looking into a swamp area in front of him. This teenager is none other than Alex Volff. After increasing his rank to F-rank 3-star, Alex continues his hunt to quickly increase his rank.

This is his 20th consecutive days in the Realm of Defenders after his 2nd entrance. The day before, Alex Volff has managed to increase his rank once again to F-rank 4-star and once again evolved his physique. Due to the repeated evolution, Alex now looks a bit taller and buff compared to when he first became a Defender. The difference is not very big, but it is still noticeable when one pays attention to observe him.

Using the [Observe] function of the [Magic Chip] once again, Alex confirms his current stats.

Alex killed 50 and to advance to F-rank 4-stars. The is a large snake with deadly poison all over its body, while the is a cat-like creature capable of stealth by hiding in the shadows of trees in forest.

By using the normal mana-enhanced state combined with the focused mana-enhanced state, Alex had no problem dealing with both creatures. Add in his new powerful equipment, it was easy for Alex to kill 50 of them. He just needed time to find them and kill them. Alex only needed to be little careful of the due to its poison.

Alex gained 10 credits for every F***-ranked creatures he killed. He also gained 150 credits after increasing his rank once more from F-rank 3-stars to F-rank 4-stars. With the other low rank creatures he killed when he journeys back and forth through the forest, Alex had 1,189 credits saved up. He used 200 credits to buy 5 {Antidote Potion} specifically to counter the poison of the .

If anyone finds out that Alex only needs a bit more than a month to advance to F-rank 4-stars, they would drop and break their jaws from the shock. Going by this pace, Alex could advance to E-rank within 2-3 months. The fastest Defender to advance to E-rank according to UDA database took around 5 months to do so. This record was set around 10 years ago by a Defender from China named Lin Ming. This Lin Ming is now one of the higher echelon of UDA. Just by this, one can see how Alex would face questions if the UDA finds out his advancement speed. It could be said to be inhuman speed.

Alex's next target is in the area in front of him. It is a swamp area that looks empty at first sight, but hides tremendous danger inside of it. By heading deeper into the southern forest, one will encounter this swamp area. This swamp is the habitat of the F-ranked 4-stars .

Alex unsheathe his {Black-steel Katana} and takes up a battle ready pose as he starts walking into the swamp. Even though Alex has much better physique compared to normal people, or even other Defenders of his rank, walking in the swamp is still different than walking on a dry land. He can feel his movement getting more restricted by the dense swamp water.

As Alex is walking in the swamp, he suddenly sees the water not far from his position starts to form a small wave. From the small wave an alligator head comes out, going straight for his right thigh. Being alert, Alex waste no time in pulling his right leg. Despite his alertness and quick reaction, his movement was a bit restricted by the swamp. The alligator managed to clamp his right leg with its mouth full of sharp teeth.

Thankfully, the {Iron Leather Trousers} managed to prevent its teeth from tearing Alex's flesh. The cannot bite into his flesh due to the hardness of the trousers' material. Being surprised by the {Iron Leather Trousers}, the alligator tries to clamp harder to try and break its victim's bone. Sensing its intention, Alex quickly brandishes his katana and swings it at its head under the water.

The alligator, sensing the incoming attack immediately releases Alex's leg from his mouth and starts maneuvering inside the swamp to dodge this sharp katana. Initially, the attack would have met the vital spot on the alligator's head, but the swamp water once again slows down the attack and enables the to get away with just a shallow cut to its torso.

Being hurt by its victim, the swims to a safe distance from Alex while its head and two eyes pops above the water to stare at Alex. Alex takes up a battle stance in spite of the painful feeling he can feel from his right leg. Alex uses this chance to use [Observe] and confirms the alligator's identity.

Confirming his suspicion about the alligator's identity, Alex enters the normal mana-enhanced state to quickly deal with this alligator. The alligator once again dives under the water and goes for Alex's right leg once more. Being in the normal mana-enhanced state, Alex's reaction is now faster and his movement is smoother. He easily dodges the alligator's attack to his right and starts swinging his katana towards its head. Sensing that it can't dodge this attack, the alligator made a desperate move. It swings its tail towards Alex's head in an effort to perish together.

"Humph.."

Alex snorts when he sees this attack. He doesn't stop the swinging katana, but Alex starts activating the focused mana-enhanced state to focus on his head. The katana cuts through the alligator's skull while a dull sound is produced when the tail meets Alex's head.

"Congratulations, you have killed the . You have earned 15 credits," Fay's voice sounded in Alex's ringing head.
