In the top floor of UDA Brazil's main branch, a beautiful Latina woman enters a big office and hands a flash drive to a man.
"Chief, this is the information you asked for," the woman says to the man.
The man is sitting behind a big desk in the big office. He has a slightly darker skin, bald head, and an imposing stature. This man is Roberto Silva, a member of the Council of Ten, the 10 strongest Defenders that founded the UDA.
Roberto Silva grabs the woman's hand that is holding the flash drive and pulls her to his lap. He starts groping her inappropriately while inserting the flash drive to his computer on his desk. The woman shows an awkward smile. There is an unwillingness in her eyes, but she is powerless to stop this man's behavior.

"Haha.. so it's true. That man's son really becomes a Defender," Roberto Silva laughs while looking at the hologram in front of him.
The hologram shows the picture a blonde middle-aged man and a young man that resembles the middle-aged man. The young man is surprisingly Alex Volff.
"Fernando only manages to force him into a danger zone 10 years ago. Maybe I can use his son to enter it and retrieve it for me," Roberto thinks loudly while smiling deviously.
He then proceeds to see Alex's information. It records the data from his test result and his first entrance into the Realm of Defenders.
"Oh.. he's not bad. He ranks 19th on the registrant ranking and he has entered the realm for a second time," Roberto Silva continues his loud thinking while still groping the unwilling assistant inappropriately.
After some more digging around about Alex's information, Roberto Silva finally closes the hologram. He releases his assistant and gives her a command.
"Show his picture to every members from our branch. Tell them to look out for him and try to befriend him if they encounter him in the Realm of Defenders. And tell them to report back to us if they encounter him," Roberto Silva instructs his assistant.
"Yes, chief," the assistant replies with an awkward smile.
"Also, show them this picture and tell them to try and probe subtly about this item from him. Retrieve it using any means necessary if they find this item," Roberto send another picture to his assistant's tablet computer.
"Yes, chief," the assistant replies.
"That's all. You can leave."
The assistant hurriedly leave Roberto Silva's office and executes his command. Meanwhile, Roberto is still sitting in his office, while pondering something.
"Hmm.. Finally there's some hope. Everyone I sent there has failed to return and now nobody wants to enter that d*mn place anymore," Roberto Silva mumbles to himself.

In the top floor of UDA Japan's main branch, Kyoko Akagi enters the big office bringing her tablet computer. A Japanese man is siting in a meditating position in the big office. This man is Keisuke Kagawa, the First Defender, and the publicly acknowledged world's strongest Defender. He has lean body and his height is only about 170cm, but when people look at him they can feel an intense pressure from his entire being.
"Chief, I have something to report," Kyoko Akagi seems surprisingly calm in front of this intense pressure.
Keisuke Kagawa opens his eyes and calmly replies,"Please start."
"You told us to monitor the Brazil office's activity. They just accessed our Defender registration information yesterday," Kyoko starts her report.
"Oh, isn't it normal? It's a publicly available information to every UDA branch," Keisuke Kagawa asks Kyoko Akagi.
"Well, they accessed detailed personal information that is only available for clearance level of branch manager or above," Kyoko continues.
"Whose information is it? Is it Ichiko's? She took the test half a month ago, didn't she?" Keisuke Kagawa asks while showing a little frown on his face.
"No, it is not the young miss. It is this guy, Alex Volff. He placed just slightly behind the young miss in the registration test. He shows huge potential, and I just recruited him to join us as a free member a few days ago," Kyoko replies.
"Oh, let me see. Hmm.. interesting talent. What does that Roberto guy wants with him?" Keisuke Kagawa was surprised with this revelation.
"I don't know, Chief. What do you think they want?"
"I don't know either. But, I still have my suspicion about Roberto, so we should be wary. Keep monitoring their activity and report to me if there's anything even slightly suspicious," Keisuke Kagawa replies.
"Oh, also monitor this Alex Volff guy," Keisuke Kagawa continues.
"Yes, Chief. Do I need to warn Alex Volff about this?" Kyoko Akagi replies.
"No need for now. We don't want to spook him and Roberto Silva while we don't know their intention," Keisuke Kagawa replies.
"Yes, Chief," Kyoko Akagi replies and walks out of the office.

Runicka: Tournament of Monsters (A GameLit Card Game Fantasy)
The runes are changing, and with it, the game itself changes. Taygion Ardwella finds himself stranded, alone, and on the run from some very determined guards who claim Tay's stolen from them. They're right, but that shouldn't mean Tay has to give back what he took. He's only been in Stormwall for a week and already, he's earning the ire of the most powerful and notorious House that controls the city's underground. And when their scion challenges Tay to a duel of cards, Tay will find himself thrust into a game of sorcery and strategy as he attempts to both find a way out of this mess and find his own way in the world. To do both, he'll need to learn to accept guidance and coaching where it's sorely needed, craft a deck of unimaginable power, and not die whenever his opponents try and cheat him out of a hard-earn victory. But not all is as it seems in the shadows of Stormwall, and if Tay can figure out the importance of what it is he's stolen, he may just have a chance at saving the game of Runicka. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Runicka: Tournament of Monsters is a high fantasy, card game-based adventure novel with enough magic, worldbuilding, and characters to fill a Sanderson series. I would consider it a part of the GameLit subgenre. This series in particular is not an isekai, and will start and end in a high fantasy setting complete with its own lore and backstory. It is a progression fantasy, and I am writing it inspired by all the Yu-Gi-Oh mangas/animes, and all the hours I've invested/wasted (depending on who you ask) playing TCGs like Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic: The Gathering. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a work in progress. In your journey through Stormwall alongside Tay, you'll probably find typos, grammatical errors, and maybe a confusing sentence every once in a while (although I hope to keep these to a minimum). That said, comments and suggestions on where I can improve are not only encouraged but greatly appreciated. And finally, expect new chapters every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~**Currently on a small hiatus. I have a bit of a workplace crisis going on. I'm still writing, but I don't have time to polish and publish. Chapters will return on a regular basis soon though!!**

Apostasy - The Lost History of Goge Vandire (A Warhammer 40,000 fan fiction)
DISCLAIMER: The characters in this story are inspired by the background of the Warhammer 40,000 intellectual property that belongs to Games Workshop Ltd. This is fan fiction, and no challenge to their ownership rights is intended. Goge Vandire is a name written in to the annals of Imperial history in blood. Often literally. No single mortal has commanded authority on the scale at which he exercised it at his height. His name is as synonymous with unspeakable evil as that of the Warmaster, Horus himself. And yet he was just a man. Where did such a man come from? What drove him to the steps he took to secure power to himself and, once he had it, how did he come to misuse it so grievously? I have scoured the records - many of them once thought lost or placed under the unbreakable seal of the Inquisition - to uncover his forgotten story, piecing together his childhood, his apprenticeship, his rise to power and his descent into madness and death. It is not the story you might expect...
