Chapter 18: First Contact
After a few hours from that battle, we searched the equipment of the fallen goblins.
It was just some small low-value weapons and armors. Some were even made out of wood!
But to think of it further, it made sense. Too many soldiers would be hard on the equipment production side of an army, or that would be the case if they even have that kind of people (Blacksmiths and Armorsmiths).
Also, next, if there are any maps on the bodies. There was. But it was just like scribbles of a young kid, impossible to understand.
Before we set out, I try to recollect how many men do I have left.
Me, Bon, Lina and a group of 15 is what's left of us.
I tried to teach my men some tactical formations such us splitting up for a pincer attack and so on.
Hmm.
They can execute it the way I explained, so there was no problem.
Idmon: “(t) Bon…”
Bon: “(t) Yes, milord?”
Idmon: “(t) Are we able to revive the fallen ones?”
Bon: “(t) We are. Give me a few moments to put them back together.”
After an hour, he was able to bring back the other guys to fighting condition.
Some were missing an arm or had cracked skulls, but at least they can still move, which is much better than carrying their bones for future use.
By the way, I had this weird feeling that Bon is different from the typical Skeleton Mage.
I wish someone here had an analyze skill.
We rested for a few hours until day became night more like a mental rest rather than sleeping or eating.
.
.
.
I was walking around this area that used to be an outpost of the goblins.
I saw Lina sitting on top of one of the towers.

She looked at me and said.
Lina: “(t) Idmon… When will they wake up?”
Idmon: “(t) Who?”
Lina: “(t) Never mind…”
Then she went back, looking at the moon.
I never knew what happened to her and what made her a banshee, but one thing is for sure, it was not a pleasant experience.
A feeling full of regret that makes you a ghost.
I wonder what made me an undead, is it just me being revived from death?
By the way, she looked real pretty basking in the moonlight. She looked more like a goddess rather than a banshee at that time.
.
.
.
I looked at the corpses of the fallen goblins and the hobgoblin.
Idmon: “Bon, are you able to revive this group of goblins and make them fight for us?”
Bon: “Yes, milord, but it will take days because of my meager supply of negative energy. I have to rest now and then before casting skill.”
Idmon: “Okay, then, I’ll leave you here to revive all of these guys while I go ahead and scout the region with a small group.”
Bon: “Yes, milord.”
I chose Lina and two skeletal archers and a skeleton mage.
We went out after discussing our would-be formations for small battles.
