While I have been busier since I last posted for this story, that doesn't excuse eight months of not posting. Currently, as the story stands, I am unmotivated to continue writing with the story in its current state, mostly due to the lack of planning and glaring issues with the plot and character motivations. I didn't really go into this story with a plan and it shows through the inconsistent writing styles and meandering plot. I have started another story that focuses more on the lighter more humorous writing style, as well as a better more well-structured plot. It is called Playing with the Dead.

I plan on writing and finishing that story, and then I'll reassess how I want to go about fixing this one. There is a lot that I like about this story, but I feel it needs a lot of work. I'm sorry for not being consistent. I wanted to leave an update after getting a message from a reader asking me if I ever plan on coming back and finishing this story. I figured that leaving an update was the best way to clarify where I'm at with this writing.
