Now that I had time to fully absorb the information in my Status Window, I could slowly digest everything.

Using the knowledge of prompting further explanations with the 'keywords' of my skills, I quickly understood many things.

Partially Intangible LV1 User's body can pass through matter within a certain width. Range increases increases progressively with level. Acidic Body LV1 User's body has the ability to cause corrosion. Effectiveness and range of control increases progressively with level.

Eh... uhm... Define 'range of control'...?

'Range of control' refers to the ability to convert the passive ability of Acidic Body LV1 into a toggle ability.

I-it worked...!

...Errr... define 'Toggle Ability' this time...?

'Toggle Ability' refers to a skill type that can be turned on and off at will.

Hmm... makes sense... I wouldn't want to corrode everybody I see...

...Then... What are the 'other skill types'...?

'The other skill types' are Active Ability, Passive Ability, Talent Ability, Trait Ability and ability born from Foreign Elements.

Like this, many of my queries were answered. Although things aside the information within my Status Window, the voice could not give me a reply for them.

But the fact that Slime's Sense has been raised to LV2, reminded me of my current solitude very quickly.

I didn't necessarily need the two whom I had encountered... even animals would help...

Before I left to look for other people, I double-checked my other skill descriptions:

Immortality Whenever the user would lose all of their HP, HP loss will be resisted at 1. Consumes 20% of user's maximum mana automatically whenever possible to return to a previous state. Potential Absorption LV1

Absorb matter existing within the user's body to gain potentials of skills.

Potentials can be converted to skills by absorbing the same type of matter for a set amount of times.

It seems that I could only spend my skill points, or SP, on active skills to raise their levels and overall effectiveness.

I left them alone for now, and contemplated about the decision to evolve.

'Assimilate a Gender to Choose' refers to the species ability of Elite Slimes. Elite Slimes adopt the gender of the next prey it consumes.

I quickly cancelled the Evolution Window since I knew I could return to it later if I opened up my Status Window again.

I moved to a nearby patch of grass.

Absorbing took much lesser time than usual, and a substantial amount of grass was absorbed in a matter of seconds.

The consumption of grass reignited my strong need for food. Grass was clearly not sufficient anymore.

... I still feel... hungry...

Ignoring the new stuff that I had obtained again, I was trying my hardest to move about to look for more food sources; I was mowing down the grass as I swept past them with my gel-like body.

And then, I sensed something.

There was a strong smell of blood coming from within the depths of the cave.

That meant, food.

My mind was in an uncontrollable state, as I was moving towards the scent of blood. All in an attempt to satiate this hunger that was close to driving me insane.

I picked up my pace, as the stench became thicker...

Until it became so strong, I could finally sense where it was coming out from.

There was a gigantic creature resembling a grey dire wolf with many eyes laying dead on the ground. It had died from a sharp object on its chest.

There were another 2 presences around the corpse.

But I didn't attempt to bide my time.

I couldn't care less.

I needed to eat. Now.

Getting on top of the furry monster, I began to corrode the surface of its hide with my passive ability.

It entered my body slowly, as I immersed myself with my meal.

AHHHhhhhh fooo... ...ood... ....

Slowly but surely, I regained my sanity.

I realized what I was doing now, but I wasn't planning on getting off the creature anytime soon.

It was delicious. It was very delicious.

I felt like I was born, to eat this corpse whole.

And I did.

The monster with that staff was attempting to do something to the corpse by moving its hands around wildly as if in a ritual, but eventually gave up and headed to the exit of the cave where I had just came from.

The other person tagging along it also followed obediently outside.

Since there were no interferences, I relished in the exquisite taste of this creature's corpse silently.

I was so lost in consuming the corpse, that I temporarily lost my sense of isolation during that period of time.

Within half a day, I had consumed it entirely.
