《Re: Rabbit Eyes [Draft]》[Arc 2] Chapter 31 - Paradise

Morning came.
I woke up with a strong migraine to start the day off.
I had expended too much energy yesterday that going into the hot spring to relax didn't even matter at all at this point.
I looked to my right, where I could see the naked body of Syviel hidden partially by a blanket.
Her thighs and some parts of her skin were sticking out of places that weren't covered.
...
Ahhh... I've done it now, haven't I...
What should I do... Tasha's gonna kill me now...
I've committed adultery, whether the rules are different in this world or not...
Ahhh...
I contemplated in my head, as I clutched my face with both hands.
I was full with regret.
This action seemingly woke up Syviel, as she slowly got up out of the blanket and rubbed her eyes.
She yawned a little, and noticed that I was staring at her with a red face.
I didn't know where to look!!!
As Syviel moved the blanket just enough to cover her chest, she wettened her succulent lips with her saliva and cleared her throat.
I was looking at her all this time, and it made me feel energetic again from that action.
Did she do that on purpose?!
Her advances didn't stop there. She moved the blanket even higher up to cover her mouth and said in a coquettish manner:
"Good morning, Sir White. Did you enjoy yourself yesterday?"
I was fully erect again.
I am a trash human being.
"S-sir White...?"
"H-Hmmm?"
"It's poking me... underneath... ...Round two?"
NooOoOOooOoOoOo!!!
It took another 2 hours before we were done. Surprisingly, Tasha did not come to this the entire morning.
We left the room in the afternoon.
The dressed Syviel brought me back to the guestroom, where I changed into my former black clothes.
It had been washed and dried yesterday apparently, it had a sweet and faint scent.
It took me 5 minutes to finish gearing up; The clothes fit snugly on my body surprisingly, as if it had been tailor-made.
"Well then, Sir White. Please wait back at the guestroom while I call for Miss Tricia."
She was back to the business attitude.
"O-Okay..."
Syviel did a curtsie and left the guestroom.
Meanwhile, I fiddled around with the things in the guestroom. There were many interesting tools that caught my attention.
Time passed quickly.
Tasha arrived at the guestroom with Syviel after an hour.
Syviel was now dressed like when I first saw her at the entrance of the cottage.
She had her bangs to the left and was holding a battle axe on her right hand.
As expected, this was Syviel.
"I-I am extremely sorry for the delay, White. I must have overslept...! Thanks for moving me back to my sleeping chambers!"
"? Y-you're welcome..."
Tasha smiled brightly at my reply.
I only brought her to the couch on the guestroom though?
A tinge of guilt attacked me.
"...Actually, ...Tas-"
"Aaaaahhhh!!!!! Not here!"
?... !!! Oh right! Her True Name should not be revealed carelessly! Syviel was right behind us..!!!
Speaking of Syviel, I could sense her staring daggers at me from the back, either from jealousy or from the fact that she didn't want me to expose her.
"I-I'm sorry...Tricia."
"Don't mind it! You were saying...?"
Heaving a sigh of relief for me, she returned to look at me earnestly.
...
"N-nothing... so what are we doing for today?"

"Mnn..mnn! Let's visit the village square together and have everyone get to know you!"
"E-errr... I'm not really good with people..."
"Don't worry about it! Think of it as a small meet-and-greet session, introductions won't take too long~!"
"If you say so... I'll trust you, Tricia."
"!!!"
"..."
Tasha's face was filled with bliss, as if being complimented by her lover.
Syviel was emotionless.
Just as we were prepared to head out, I was puzzled about something, so I asked:
"I don't see Syriel? Is she not coming with us?"
"? ...Ah..."
Tasha turned to look at Syviel who said nothing, and then turned back to me.
"It's the kind of squabble they get into sometimes, don't worry about it. It's just us three for today."
"I-I see... That's kinda rough huh Syviel... But you shouldn't be too rough on your sister okay? You two are family after all... family..."
Initially, Syviel just nodded without any emotion, but when she realized that the topic had triggered a landmine as her master gave her a death stare, she immediately flustered and replied:
"D-d-don't worry about it Sir White! It's okay, it's okay! We're not really on that bad terms with each other~ It's true!"
"I... see... ...sorry for prying this much into your family issues..."
"I-It's fine, really!"
Giving me a few seconds to recover, Tasha then announced:
"Well, let's head out then!"
As we moved around the village for the day, I began to slowly understand what Tasha meant by this village originally being a mining village from our conversation in the bathhouse yesterday.
There was something called Reverse Mining in this place, which was the act of letting something consume the colorful minerals that were rich around this place, then harvesting a larger quantity of it.
The minerals also had special properties depending on how it was handled, for example it would become as hard as adamantite when being smelted into a weapon, become a very viscous liquid when used as flavouring for a drink, and become as stretchy as rubber when processed through special equipment.
It was kind of like rice in food terms; It was a universal mineral that could become anything if you combined it with something else.
That was why the sheep were tailored to eat those kinds of grass and had those crystals on its back. The fruits they were growing as well...
This place made me feel like it had everything.
In the first place, it seemed that the origin of the colourful minerals came from the large Banyan tree I had seen when I first entered the Crystal Dome. At some point in time after mining deep into the village, it had caused the Banyan tree to trigger some kind of natural reaction within itself and turn its fruits into harvestable minerals that could be grown independently.
The minerals grew within a week, and had various amounts of yields depending on the type of organism it had fused with.
For example, small bushes of plants would not reap as much as those growing on the back of a pig reared for eating.
And as a result of its universality, it even became the form of currency in the village as the elves seldom left the place to invent a stable form of currency. They prioritized effectiveness within their utopia.
As for magic, it really did feel like a game. Apparently, living beings in this world can all access something called the Status Window with the innate skill Status Check, where it records all of your skills, stats and many more.

And since it was universal, the villagers all learnt some form of magic to cope with their daily lives. Such as using their mana within their bodies to activate several equipment that used heat, light and stuff.
Although I wasn't too surprised that I couldn't use this function as an outsider of this world, I was genuinely impressed by the replication of an ideal game world in an Isekai Novel.
I was a little bummed out about that however... I really wanted to learn magic.
Speaking of the equipment they use daily that required magic though, I was told that the elves had made those themselves, and that they were the handiwork of the Village's Master Craftsman. It was said that they could make almost everything, from electric kettles to the extremities of machinery, and even weapons.
Interesting, I really wanna meet this person... Many of the things I've seen around here came from them? They even invented things that were extremely similar to some things on Modern Earth! I wonder if they can make something that can bring me back...
...There's really not a male elf in sight...
Wondering that to myself, I asked for Tasha's opinion while we were walking around and greeting the female elves around us.
"Can I see that Master Craftsman of the village?"
"..." "..."
The surrounding female elves who were crowding around us went silent as well.
"? What's wrong? W-Why did you guys stop talking?"
"Sir White... that's..."
"It's that right?"
"Yeah, that... I don't think you should go there..."
A few girls warned me.
"You see, White. The Master Craftsman was a noble-like figure around here, so she had the obligations to perform daily skirmishes around the outskirts of the barrier. Unfortunately, she had recently returned from a skirmish against the humans, and suffered some injuries..."
"?! Humans?! Injuries?! What kind of injuries?!"
"She had become a mute since then, and some kind of trauma of some sort has degraded her skills back to a normal elf. She hides herself whenever someone tries to see her so we usually leave her alone if possible. However she still makes good equipment occasionally, so we send a person to her and collect the items periodically. Aside from that, I genuinely advise you not to go there for your sake, and for the girl's sake as well..."
"I see... where does she live? I will take note so I don't carelessly come too close to her..."
"Right there, underneath the World Tree."
The surrounding girls gave way, as Tasha pointed towards the Banyan tree in the center of the village.
"Well then, enough of the gloomy talk, let's enjoy ourselves for today okay? I recommend this... and..."
The day passed with me enjoying the delicacies around the streets of the village, with two beauties Syviel and Tasha.
It was paradise, but I felt something weird about myself in this paradise, as if I didn't belong there.
A few days passed by peacefully, as I became more open about sex with the two girls. Syriel was seemingly still throwing a tantrum, as I questioned her during pillow talk that Syviel constantly told me that she was busy with other work as she had other errands to run.
I didn't question that; The servants of such a prosperous village like this should require a couple of manpower to keep the mines running.
I was told that the crystals had a sort of "expiry date", as it would dissipate into the air if not kept in a kinetic motion constantly. This mean that they had to be in a constant state of movement for it to not disappear.
I had turns in between Syviel and Tasha, as I continued to keep the affair with Syviel a secret. Like this, a few more days of pleasure passed.
"?!?!?!?!? Aaaarrrghghghghhh!!!"
In the middle of sex, Syviel was shocked by White's loud scream, as she hastily cast an additional spell to cancel out the noise.
"?! Silent Room! Silent Room!"
She probably wanted to avoid letting her master detect her affair. She had already casted a Silent Room prior to avoid the moans from leaking out of the room, but it could not defend completely against screams. Since Silent Room could stack up to 3 times, she did it to the maximum just in case.
"AaAaAerRRrghhhghhh my headdddd!!!!!!"
White continued to clutch his head in agony, as multiple pangs of pain coursed through his brain.
"Sir White?! What's wrong?! Speak to me! Sir White!!!"
White did not stop, as he continued flailing around madly, as if he had gone insane.
Syviel was having a hard time controlling the berserk White, she did not know what had happened to him.
"Basic Status Cure!"
"aAAaArRgHGHGhhHhhHH!!!"
"This doesn't work? Tch! I'll have to use it then..."
Clicking her tongue, she took out an elixir from the drawer of the room, and opened the lid.
"Please be alright...This is the last one I have..."
Syviel tried to force the elixir down White's throat, but he was flailing about too much that some of the expensive liquid spilled onto the bed.
Realizing this, she poured it into her mouth and passed it into White's mouth with a forced kiss.
...
...
White began to calm down, but his head was still hurting a little. However, he was capable of thinking again.
"ite...wh...whi...white...White!!!"
Syviel's voice returned his ringing consciousness back.
"Ugh... my head... what happened..."
"White!!! I'm so glad you're back!!! What happened to you?!"
She hugged him tightly.
"I don't... I don't know...it just started to hurt all of a sudden..."
"You can stay with me tonight, okay?"
"Al-alright... I'm sorry it came down to this, Syviel..."
"Mn... don't worry about it, it's only natural for my future spouse."
"Mn..."
I didn't have the strength to retaliate to her final statement, as I passed out just like that.
The next day went by normally.
I stopped having sex, thinking that was the cause behind it.
I also mentioned to Syviel not to alarm her master about this, as I didn't want her to worry about me unnecessarily.
That night, I snuck out of the cottage when I had ensured that it was way past sleeping time.
Making sure no one was following me, I went towards the World Tree.
If anything, I felt the strongest sense of incongruity with that place after the explanation about the Master Craftsman.
Being on high alert and with quick and nimble steps, I creeped towards the center of the village like a rabbit.

Leftover Apocalypse
[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] This is a story about the newly-adult Calliope Smith having a terrible day that ends in her getting mysteriously teleported from Phoenix, Arizona to a fantasy world where her life is in constant danger. She considers this an upgrade. Someone evil is looking for her, and she doesn't know why. Someone who seems to know a lot about her has promised they'll help her, but she doesn't know who they are. All that matters to Callie is that magic is real and one way or another she's going to learn it. The end of the world is coming up, sure, but Callie won't need to worry about that. In fact, by the time she even finds out about it one of the doomsday devices will already be destroyed, and the authorities will be well on the way to dealing with the other one. It's fine. Everything will be smooth sailing. Almost certainly. Probably. Chapters are usually about 2500-3500 words, and the goal is to post 2-3 per week but I sometimes get busy or have some writers block. It's your standard portal fantasy / Isekai premise, but unlike some the main character's time on Earth and how she got pulled into another world will (eventually) be explored. Some slight GameLit-feeling stuff later, no menus or level-ups but there's something suspiciously like a skill tree when the magic system gets going. No number crunching, and while the main character will get to do some silly stuff she won't be a god like in some fics (and will in fact spend a lot of time being badly outclassed by her enemies). Some reader interaction, ranging from adding to the worldbuilding to occasionally making big important decisions about skill progression. Please note that the main character is flawed and impulsive, and will make some stupid decisions. That's part of the story, but I get that it's not for everyone. Trigger Warnings: Foster care system references, crappy parenting. Some mental health adjacent stuff, specifically the main character has some issues where she experiences varying levels of empathy and emotional vulnerability depending on the day (it's complicated and not meant to portray any real-world conditions). Occasional violence including mention of death and grievous bodily harm, but no detailed descriptions of gore.

It isn't one that test doesn’t test his physical strength, but his strength of character. He is paired up with a shy and traumatized boy name Mien. However, when Soletus’s resolve to help starts to waiver, Mien does something unexpected and Soletus decides that the boy deserves a second chance not as an act of duty but as a friend. Hy'Ruh-Ha is a what I consider a chronicle fantasy. It is a fantasy drama coming of age story inspired by slice-of-life stories I've read and watched. It is heavy on the slice-of-life and does move slow. It is low-stakes fantasy. This particular story is romance free.(2 out the of 4 is re-uploaded under this title) And if you are someone who cares, the POV character is asexual. Crossroad(formally labeled as the intermission stories)- is a novella collection continuing the tale where Hy'ruh-Ha. The collection as followed: Wolf- After spending several months in the swamp post, Oeric'Sheldmartin returns to repair the chasm between him and his son, Soletus. However, a ghost from his past comes to haunt him and could ruin the life he's made completely. Note: Wolf is a bit of a character piece. POV character is Oeric. The Priest and the Priestess- A novella written in the POV of Mien and then Kiao after a series of unexpected events that change their lives. Mien's POV- Mien has spent the last couple of years working not only in the infirmary but training to become a combat chanter as part of his penitence. Then one day, a drug addled elf comes into infirmary and changes his perspective of a friend and puts his knowledge to the tests to figure out a mystery effecting children in town. *Spoiler warning* Kiao's POV- Kiao spent most of her time in the infirmary living the same daily secret filled life and until Mien changed it. Now she has to figure out her future in ways she never thought she would. I'm going for a Tues and Thurs day schedule for the re-upload. I may or may not stick in extra days.
