《A marvel rise》Chapter 27

After tying up the two men and checking the cell, Alex found a bunk with a young girl around the age of 14 lying down chaine to the bed. She had light blond hair and nasty scar that ruin her looks, it was a cut over her left eye, it had already healed nicely. She also was missing her right foot, she simply looked back at him, she didn't say a word. Alex notice a certain empty look in her brown eye, like if she had given up on the world. Their was no anger, sorrow, panic or confusion, their was nothing as if life had beaten it out of her.
"{I don't know if this will matter to you, but I'm here to change things. So before you decide to end it all, find hope once more, for what I offer will give you a chance to gain the power to control your life, but you must be alive to decide your fate.}" Alex said in Russian, he hope that it will intrigue her enought to bring her back long enought for her to choses life.
On his way out he closes the door, he check a few cell until he found one were it was empty. He disarmed the guards and lock them in the cell. As he was moving to the roof he heard an explosion, that was suppose to blow up when he was in position. The meeting in front of the cell had drastically change his timing, but honestly he wasn't to worried. If he had simply ingnored what was going to happen in that cell, he knew that a part of his humanity would have died this night.
"Im kind of happy that I'm no longer a spy, if I was, then the mission would have force me to ignore the girl and move on. Then again if Im link in anyway to this, I could very well be arrested for all kind of fun laws I broke in just one night." Alex said as he keep going up to the roof. His radio started to buzz as the remaining guards contacted each other trying to figure out what was going on.
The longer the radio buzz the more the remaining personnel started to panic, they keep trying to contact any higher officer or teacher. He hear some shooting as well. "The hell are they shooting at?" Alex said as he wonder what could have possible spook this random firing show.

When he reach the roof, he open the door expecting a hail of bullets to greet him. Instead he was mostly ignored as the guard continued to shoot around. As he came to a good vantage point he took a look around trying to figure what was going on. Well as it turn out every one of them was in a panic, and no one was reigning then in. As best as he could figure they all seem to be shooting at nothing or just shadows for the moment. They all seem to know that they were under attack, but didn't seem to understand by what, over the radio some of them seem to scream something about babayka. If he wasn't mistakend then they we're afraid of the boogeyman, well in a way he could be consider a honorary member of the babayka club.
Alex shrug as he line a shoot with the sniper he took from the armory. "What do I care, all this panic is making them easy targets." Alex said as he calm down and started taking out guards.
The one's he killed if they happen to be speaking in their radio, only serve to freak out to ones listening in on them, when their voice followed silence. A few he shot were standing right besides another guard, this immediately alerted them of the truth, but just before they announce it to the rest, they died.
After another ten minutes, the whole sites was quiet. Alex got up from his position, he figures he should do a complete swip of the base. If he wanted to bring the kids out and have a talk, he better be damn sure that there wouldn't be anyone around, to go all suicide bomb on them, when they were all sitting around talking about their futur plans.
It was sunrise by the time he had finish the swip. He found only few straggler cowering in some dark corner. They did the usual begging and pleading for their lives, saying things like. I won't tell anyone or the famous, take anything you want but please let me live. But honestly he wasn't in the least bit tempted in their pleads, they all work for an organization that was basically cult driven fanatics, bent on destroying the world. All so they could built it back up, in their twisted version of a better world.

That was the thing about hydra that always piste him off, they were adamant on changing the world, but their version of it would leave billion to suffer a pointless destruction. The stupid part was that the whole destroy it was clear, but the rebuilding was alway kind of vague. As if their doctrine hadn't thought that far ahead. It like saying, hey lets start a revolution, against what, hum oh i know lets pick the goverment and let replace it with something better, what you ask, we figure it after we win.
Alex look around trying to find a big enought place for all the kids, that he didn't redecorate with a nice fresh coat of murder. Finally he settled for a class room, their were plenty of room to sit down and they also had a projector. Which he could use for a show and tell about their fate if they stayed here.
The first step was goin back to the office and taking all the papers, the next part was goin to the mess hall and wipe out some food. He elected to make scramble eggs in a big pan, toast and all the bacon he could find. The next step was the hardest, convincing the kids not to run but to sit and listen, give him at least one hour before jumping to conclusion. For this he needed someone to vouch for him, the girl he meet back in the cell seem as the best bet he got, so he headed over to the cell.
He found himself in front of the door, event if he had no need for it he knock on the door before entering. Inside he found the girl still on the bed, her eye looked back at him. This time there seem to be a little bit more life in it.
"{Hello, I need your help in convincing every other one like you here, that I simply want to talk, I will provide a meal free of any demand. All I ask of you all, is to sit down and listen to what I have to say. Will you help me in convincing them to this.}" Alex said as he approach her. After he said all that he release her of her restraint.
"{What if we say no?}" she said as she look at him, she sat up in her bed.
"{Then it will take much longer, since I will go to every cell, and speak to each of you, while you are tied down and only release you once I've finish.}" Alex said as he shrug with a grimace, as he was thinking of all the wasted time it would take to go one by one.
She remained silent, as she never left him out of her sight.
"{What happens, if we dont want to go with you?}" She said, her voice cold devoid of emotion.
"{Then I leave you alone, if any of you want, I can also drop you off in the closes town. But let me make myself clear, if I leave you alone, the chances of you all being captured once more is very high, unlike the chance that I will offer all of you.}" Alex said.
The girl seem to be debating with her self, waiting all the pros and cons. Until she suddenly stop and came to realize something, she looked back at Alex and her eye seem to sparkel.
"{I will help, but you need to let me speak to each alone.}" She said.
Alex was worried that she was planing something bad for his heath. But as he look at her eye, some kind of instinct was telling him, that in this moment, the wrong choice could jeopardize everything. Alex took a deep breath this would either work or blow up in his face. He just hope that he was making the right choice.
"{Ok, you've got yourself a deal.}" Alex said, with a sigh.
The girl smiled for the first time he'd seen her.
