《A marvel rise》Chapter 21

One month later
A tall alethic dark brown hair man was sitting down, he was wearing a fashionable deep blue suit. He had a warm smile, with grey eyes that radiates in neon lights believe me!
"I've look at your portfolio, and in light of your stunning recommendation letter from Howard Stark, but more importantly your impressive detailed plan. Your loan for starting your business has been approve." The Banker said with a angry trembling voice.
"Thank you sir! Your undying belief in this glorious enterprise, shall shower your descendants in the universal continuum of positiveness, for are supreme ruler jackjack." Alex said with a huge smile.
Awkwardness could be easily seen on the banker face. Their was also a hint of anger and embarrassment, since Alex had raise his voice to attract the attention of other employees. Some where obviously snickering at his situation.
Alex had come to this bank before but had receive nothing but contempt at first. Puzzled he at first figure that his proposal wasn't in order, so he paid a visits to Howard for help, figuring that a multimillionaire would know his way around a business loan proposal and could help him improve it or simply point out his mistakes.
At first Stark was reluctant since him going into business would mean competition. But once he learn the direction he was going, he wasn't worried anymore since their interest didn't conflict all that much.
It was Howard that told him that their was nothing wrong about his proposal, hell he was even tempted to invest in it. Once Alex heard that, he figured he'd better do a background check on that banker or bank just to be sure. It turn out the bank owner was a friend of his old boss, and the owner son just so happens to work there, at the same desk of the banker he went to meet just a few days agos, who after spending only two minute looking at it, rejected his proposal.

Now anyone normal would just go to another bank, and have his plan pass by a different banker. Alex instead signed a deal with Howard, about his future research stating that on this and that he would share his finding within a strict period of time. All so that Haword would write a letter threatening this particular banker, on cancelling any and all future interaction of that bank. Not only would he do that, he would also send a letter to the higher up about his reasons as well.
To which Alex desided to play crazy, by saying nonsense to the banker outloud during any interaction he would have with this banker, just to push his buttons.
"Just get out now." The banker said with a red face.
"Of course, my little buttercup of love, I will make sure to pass your word to the astronaut hidding in the nut. Fear not for me, my little tulip of burn toast, we will meet again under the ever purple of malnourishment." Alex said still grinning as he gave an elaborate bow. He then turn and walk away to snickering and laughter from the bankers colleague around.
He didn't look back, but if he had he would've seen the bankers manager coming out, asking him if he was insane for giving his approval to a mad men. And the rest of his colleagues and client laughing at his humiliation, the worse was that he couldn't even give a proper answer since it would damage the bank reputation, more so if the truth came out. So there the banker was taking in this humiliation in silence.
"I feel so refresh." Alex said as he hum Jimmy Hendrix foxy lady, on the way to his car.
As he drove away toward home, he started to think on the hasty deal he made with Howard. Now going into business with him wasn't bad, but it had been done in the heat of anger toward his old boss meddling friends. To be fair it was a really big deal, but the point was he had acted, hastily in retaliation.

"I need to figure some way to control my emotion, I can't keep going gun blazing anymore. Should I go into to therapy?" Alex said as he wonder if he had a form of PTSD. It was possible he did just come back from fighting in a high intense stress environment.
"It would probable be a good idea to se someone, if my world history is still any good, wasn't their like a huge depression after the war." Alex said he tried to remember from his first life if that was something he saw in school.
"Ah, thats right, it wasn't in school that I got that, but an article, that read saying something like the WW2 wasn't well categorize in its victims, cause they only counted the soldier on the battlefield, and not the ones that came home." Alex said he went quiet for a bit.
"I have been talking to myself alot lately. Or is it that I just don't have anyone to talk too about this." Alex said in a somber tone.
"Well shit, not only do I have to go to therapy, looks like i need to make me some new friends." Alex said as grin slid across his face.
Alex arrive home, for now it was a modest apartment. When he lost his job as a spy many of the agency safe house had become off limits, and since he didn't want to move back with his parents. He had to find alternative living location, sure he could've gone for a more fancy place, but he was trying to save his rapidly dwindling funds.
"Fucking spy agency, and their bullshit." Alex mumbled as he went in his apartment. After he signed his release contract from the agency, a clause he should have read but was to sick and tired to bother about, came back to bite him in the ass. His boss and his team of greedy fuckers, had slip in a line stating that he was giving all his resources back to the agency.
That line had suck almost every investment he made in the past, at least any they could prove he'd done so with the agency money. Sure the first few he use his own money for, but the bigger contracts, the one's he needed alot of money for, he use the agency as his own personal bank. As long as he was apart of the agency it was fine, but as soon as he was out, without taking the steps he needed he lost almost everything.
The worse was learning it all when he was over seas, so by the time he caught wind of it, the damage had already been done. Fortunately he still had some money, just not as much as he would need to go really big. It would take time, to not only grow his business, but to get project ultimate going. Like it or not he did not have a secret rich daddy long legs to help him out. Sure Howard could fund it, but the problem would be he wouldn't be his own boss, and trying to have his more secret research going under the raidar. Would most definitely not go over well with any inspection or Haword, and it wouldn't become a question of years, but a question of decades for completing it.
So yes, the money would be faster with Howard, but the cons could erase or delay any chance he had of gaining any power. So he went into his small cramp apartment an sat down, waiting with a beer for tomorrow to come, readying himself for the marathon and not the sprint, that life was trowing at him.

She awakens in A'lara City a few days later and recuperates under the steadfast care of her repentant friend Jorn.As she reacclimates to her waking state, Larin struggles with her gruesome memories of the Hells and her decision to conceal them from Jorn. This story answers the question, Is Larin all right? with a resounding yes, and some storms on the horizon. It also raises the question, What happened to her down there? and includes an excerpt from the sister story Falling Down, about Larin's ordeal in the Nine Hells. Praise for Waking Up and Falling Down: Loved it. The difference between the two stories is great! The difference between Waking Up and Falling Down is astounding. So much light and love in the first story. You feel safe reading it. Healing. The second, so much darkness, pain and despair. The choice of vocabulary is awesome and makes an impact. And this set of short stories ties the two books together so well.-- Dana V. of Texas ★★★★★
