The long trek back gave me and Steve some time to discuss, about how to handel the general.
"I call bull on just surrendering like that." James Howlett said, he angrily kick a stone away.
"You can't blame then they did defy orders, just to be clear. I'm grateful they did I'm just saying command migth not see it that way." Jim Morita said he quickly added not wanting to bring the hate from everyone else around.
"I don't think that it will come to that, the general is more likely to be grateful then angry." James Montgomery Falsworth said.
"Look I appreciate the support, but the fact of the matter is that me and Alex, went against a direct order from a superior officer. And that is a court martial offence especially since I'm how did you put it. Steve said as he turn to Alex.
"Gorvement experimental superior soldier project. Relax about it, I'm sure you'll be fine. It me that got to worrie, technically I was s'oppose to stop you. But they never told me in my orders what consisted of looking after you, so it still kind of in the grey area here." Alex said in a happy chipper mood, having had the time of his life during the whole gun fight. He also was happy cause he had looked througth the document and he found a few very good idea. He would also have some good chips in his hands when it will come to bargain with his boss.
"Still can't believe that your a spook. No other would jump in like that they tend to stay back in back ground." Gabe Jones said the tall man he was still a little surprise to come out of that madness whole and alive.

"Je trouve que nous avont sacre une peur bleu a ces lache." Jaques Dernier said.
"What was that?" James Barnes Bucky said.
"Nothing new still cursing hydra." Alex said.
"Hey I can very well understand spy." Dernier said, with a grin.
" Et moi aussi je te comprent." Alex said
"Je trouve le fait que nous trois parlont le Francais surprenent." Jones said.
"Guys, lets get back on finding a solution to the problem here." Bucky said annoyed at the shenanigans of the three." Bucky said in exasperation.
"Nothing to talk about Il take full responsibility of the whole mission." Steve said in a candid tone full of courage and conviction.
After that no one was able to suggest a different or better answer to Steve and my circumstance. Instead whe shared story not just are little group but then men around us also shared. It was obvious that the more Steve talk to everyone, the more a quiet acknowledgement was going around all the men about supporting Steve. It became evident to everyone with the exception of Steve. In a way it was fascinating how one man could draw in so many by simply being himself with no hidden agenda.
By the time we saw the base I could tell that if thing went to hell in camp, these soldiers wouldn't let it go without a fight. To have a possible mutiny for a man they have only met a few hours ago in a way it was very impressive.
As a group everyone march silently in camp their was no disorder running around, but a calm an united sense as we all came to a stop infront of the general.
"Some of these men need medical attention." Steve said in a neutral tone.

Medic ran to the troops as soon as the surprise of the event pass, men were finally getting the care they needed, but most still refuse to leave until the conclusion of Steve faith was evident. The soldiers around where confuse at the closes nit group, some even spotted a few soldier holding their weapons close almost like they where ready to point them around.
Steve looked around making sure the medic started on the ones who needed it most. He turn back to the general took a deep breath. "I'm here to surrender myself to disciplinary action sir."
The mood subtly shifted, Steve stood strait looking foward without wavering. The general notice the troops mood shift he was surprise. This he had never would have believe possible, it was clear that Steve wasn't aware of it yet, but he had alot of expirience leading men in battle. He didn't miss the hidden threat stating if he goes, we all GO! In that moment he had a flash seeing it later in battle these men would follow this man to hell and back with their heads up in pride. He wasn't a idiot he understood right now a literal gem was infront of him, he consider Washington an how to spin it, he figures if he sold them the dream they would go for it right now many would jump on such a fat piece of meat.
"That won't be necessary." A small proud smile on his lip, he turn to Peggy. " Faith hum." The general left, happy to go back an cancel many bad news letter to families.
"Your late." Peggy said as she stood in front of Steve.
A cocky grin on Steve face came out as he pulled the transponder. "I couldn't call my ride." A busted mess came up in his hand.
"Hey let hear it for captaine America." Bucky said.
All the soldier gave out a loud cheer some finally relenting to medical attention.
"Now I hope I got enought to stick around." Alex looked down to the pounch holding the document, if not he would be force to finally use up the last letter. Losing that card now would be very bad he would be without any counter to his enemies.

8 175A Standard Model of Magic
The world ended, and magic came back. The part our parents didn't expect, was for Science to break on reentry. Twenty years after the apocalypse, with our nations dismantled and hidden continents unearthed, a new generation has grown up in the wreckage of 21st century civilization. For us, the fantastic is at our doorstep and we have had no choice but to fight back. Meanwhile, the laws of nature bend and break at the whims of immortal gods, all of which are now dead and none of which are content to stay that way. But we cannot afford to give up. We are the stewards of a rewritten century, in which a little luck and a whole lot of magic might make anything possible – maybe even a world better than the one we lost. A Standard Model of Magic is a complete overhaul of my old story A Storm in the Fall. I'm afraid I was unhappy with the LitRPG elements, which I don't mind reading, but I apparently loath writing. Sorry. Once I'd made the choice to decouple the story from the OF that inspired it and reconfigure the magic system to my satisfaction, little of the original plotline survived. I will be salvaging most of my original characters, and I will keep some elements which are endemic to the genre, but that is all. I don't have an update schedule which I can commit to yet, but I will try to maintain a weekly pace.(This is currently RoyalRoad exclusive, since I'm lazy. If you find it posted elsewhere, it wasn't me and it wasn't with permission) If you're interested, I've set up a discord.

8 143LIlith's Firstborn
The legend says that the Forbidden Fruit made the first two humans – Adam and Eve – intelligent, but what if it was the other way around? What if the Forbidden Fruit took most of their humility, their intelligence, their kindness, etc. away and turn them into the discriminating, angry, and hateful humans that they are? What if the only way to turn back into their former selves was to lead a good life on Earth to cleanse their souls? The legend also says that Lilith was a demoness who fled from Heaven and was granted mercy when she showed humility and proved that her soul was still worthy of saving despite all her wrongdoings. What if, after centuries of sinning, Lilith finally found her way back to kindness? What if God forgave Lilith for her crimes? What if she gave birth to a baby after she had repented? And what if that baby is the only human soul in existence that isn’t tainted by the Forbidden Fruit or her past sins? Tallitanya of Lilith inherited her mother’s immortality and grew up at a rate much slower than an average human so she had witnessed the rise and fall of empires even though she is physically and mentally 21 years old. She was born on Earth, but she moved to Heaven when she was physically 5 years old and didn’t return until she was 18 years old. She was tasked, by God himself, to guard over the Forbidden Tree which had since been replanted on an isolated island on Earth. She loves that job, and she loves that she was given direct instructions instead of having to figure out what God’s so-called ‘mysterious plans’ for her was. Centuries went by. Tallitanya is 21 years old when the Final Judgement is nigh. As an immortal who has yet to have a real affiliation with Heaven or Hell, Tallitanya has received a personal invitation from the Antichrist who wishes to recruit Tallitanya. Heaven also sends its angel – Michael – to inform Tallitanya that as a human, her soul would also be judged by God. She was ordered to leave her post as the Forbidden Tree’s guardian so that she could get to know the other humans before she makes an actual decision about who she wants to align herself with. The second she steps out of the island, it disappears. Turns out, her message from God was faked, and so was her mission. The devil had tricked her, and as the guardian of the Forbidden Tree, she must recover the tree and the island, or humanity will perish within the year.
