Volume 2 - Chapter 7: Fate....

...

Finally.

He spoke…

Deep within a space of absolute nothingness, there were particles forming in a cluster, creating a figure. That figure formed into a young man and continued to float in the void. Drifting endlessly with no one around, the body continued to wander until He spoke….

“..........Souma…”

...

“....Listen to me…”

...

“....Wake up….”

The voice continued to call out to the body until slight movements could be seen. The man began to shift a little but his body couldn’t move as much. Finally the man’s eyes began to open and saw absolutely nothing. A dark, endless void was where he was and he wasn’t surprised. Being as it may, the man was actually calm and he began to focus more on the voice…

“....Souma….”

“....Worry not…”

“....I am…”

“.....I AM!!...”

“..............”

“.....Your FATHER’S…”

The floating man began to thinking and his thoughts were easily portrayed on his face…

“....FATHER’S…..FATHER’S…...FATHER!.....”

...

...

...

Silence beckoned as the terrible joke resounded through the void....

...

...

...

“............Not funny….ehh?”

The floating man continued to stare into the void as the voice resounded…

“Just call me Ojii-chan...Too much of a hassle and I like being called Ojii….makes me seem younger..” The voice resounded within the void space and the voice finally materialized.

An older man, around the age of 70 appeared out of thin air after the voice had spoken. This elder was wearing a traditional japanese kimono and had battle scars all over his face. On his arms, were scars that were formed from Katana strikes. On his left eye, there was a distinctive scar that covered the entire eye socket. His left eye was permanently blind and the pupil was no longer recognizable. He had a grey beard that accentuated his wisdom and strength. Near the collarbone was a receding tattoo that extended all the way to the back and revealed an astonishing formation. Upon the formation of the kimono, there were noticeable scars seen through the midsection of the outfit. The elder man pointed towards the man that continued to float in mid-air within the darkness of the void and spoke once more…

“...You...are my descendant...Yes you…” The elder continued to point towards the floating man yet nothing was spoken but within the floating man, he spoke through his mind…

‘...Me…?’

‘...Descendant….then are you the one that Chichiue told stories about...’

The elder began to sit in a half-lotus sitting position and stared at the man that could not talk but only through telepathy. The elder stroked his grey beard and rubbed his rough scars, then finally spoke once more…

“..Yes...I am the one who created our Clan...Your family began when I created the foundation...I am the Shodai-gane….The founder of the Kurogane clan….Ryuu Kurogane…”

As the elder spoke with a commanding tone, the floating man began to shiver and finally received control over his body. As the floating body gained control, he immediately prostrated himself onto the Elder…And spoke instead of voicing them inside his mind…

“Elder! Forgive my rudeness for not recognizing you!! makoto ni moushiwake gozaimasen!!”

The man that was constricted, formally apologized to the Founder and bowed in honorable respect.

Ryuu began to stroke his beard and spoke…

“Ahem! I want you to stop addressing me as such...I may be the Shodai but I am no longer alive but my spirit lives within you. I want you to address me as Ojii-chan or Ojii, any other names I will not accept…” The elder spoke his commands but the man responded…

“But Elder!”

“No buts!”

“Eld-”

“What did I just say…” The elder glared at the man with his commanding eyes that exuded images of terror and fear.

“Ojii….” The man began to solemnly give in and finally called Ryuu by the name he wanted.

“Good boy...you know you died right...Souma...or Rain...whatever you may be called…” Ryuu spoke with a worrisome tone to alert Souma, the man that floated in the void…

“Ojii...I don’t feel dead…” Souma began to rub his entire body and felt its entirety but Ryuu spoke…

“Well this body is your astral body...and look here…” Ryuu whisked his left hand and some sort of ethereal projection occurred and the image of Souma/Rain’s body appeared in the void space…

“See...I told you...you have died...now don’t freak out…” Ryuu turned towards Souma and attempted to calm him down but…

Souma’s face was unchanging. It did not waver under the notice of his death but it was simply a void expression...that lacked emotion…

“Ojii...I really died...didn’t I…?” Souma looked at his entire astral projection that felt real but somehow he knew it wasn’t. Souma continued to stare at his palms until Ryuu spoke again…

“Kozo…..” Ryuu spoke quietly and wondered what Souma was thinking…

As Souma continued to stare at his palms, he thought of his memories…

‘Chichiue...Shishou...The girls….and more girls….I will miss them...I definitely will miss them...I hope they continue to live on...’

As Souma’s thoughts began to wander about, the same thoughts transpired into Ryuu’s mind and he was engulfed in many emotions that Souma was feeling at the moment. He brutally missed everyone and wished to live again but he knew that was possible. Souma emotions began to swirl and rampage within Ryuu’s mind but he sat there unmoving. Ryuu sat there staring at Souma and felt his emotions grow tremendously with impact and desire. The emotions continued on and on until a faint emotion appeared. This emotion steadily grew in the depths and Ryuu grew worried. As Souma’s emotioned circulated, a vibrant emotion echoed in the background. It was hate, pure unadulterated hatred. He hated that he died. Souma hated that he couldn’t return his feelings towards the girls. He hated that he had lost his memories. Souma hated the fact that he had killed someone and was responsible for someone’s death. He hated the moments where Kami-sama played with him. He hated falling for those girls. If he loved them, he should’ve told them. He hated everything that occurred to him. And finally, he hated himself for being stupid for enjoying himself…

Ryuu saw the hatred grow within Souma and continued to watch Souma. Vibrant memories were flashing by and even Ryuu began to think of his unsightly memories but quickly shut those memories out. Souma’s entire body began to change, familiar to the demonic form he took when he was Rain. However more red lines began to appear and through the lines was a coursing river of dark blood. Two sharp horns appeared on Souma’s head and red blood poured out of the cracks of the horns. His astral body had changed into his demonic form but it was more visible that he became more demonic.

Within Souma’s mind, the hatred grew larger and it expanded over the fond memories he had with the girls and his family. Hatred was now the dominant emotion and Souma’s body reflected that emotion. Upon changing, his entire form had produced his new demonic armor that was formed from his aura. Sharp horns appeared on the edges of the shoulder and spikes appeared all over the metallic armor. The armor was clad in darkness and the miasma leaked from the armor.

Ryuu watched as Souma changed into a fearsome being. Having feeling his demonic aura, even Ryuu felt compelled to fight but he knew he had to continue watching Souma until the right moment….

Souma’s heart bore hatred and implemented it everywhere. As the armor formed, his entire being was clad in darkness. His lower armor formed dark spikes at the knee cap and his armor boots had distinctive spikes that jagged at the edge of the boot. Two gauntlets doused in black steel formed at the arms, completely covering them. While they formed, two elongated horns formed at the elbow, arching as they fitted perfectly. At the torso, a black demonic sigil formed onto the black chestplate and created a magical veil around the armor. While watching, Ryuu noticed Souma’s emotions had stopped. Within Souma’s memories, he thought of the girls and also the new girls he met as Rain. They halted his hatred but his armor continued to form…

Ryuu was astonished at Souma’s struggle to stop the hate but the armor wasn’t stopping...As Ryuu pondered on the current situation….He remembered Kami-sama and another omnipotent being…

….

….

….

Kami-sama: Once you tell him that he’s dead….

****: His emotions will go out of control...I hope you know this, brother…

Kami-sama: Yes but for him to go to the nether realm, where you used to reign, he must be stronger and become the new ruler of that realm...we need all the fighting power for what is to come later in this world….

****: The reason you’re doing this is because of….Garoth?

Kami-sama: Well I need my apostle to be stronger…and the world is falling apart due to Garoth’s apostles becoming greedy...

****: You do know that for him to control the nether realm, he’s going to have to do this and that….and usurp the current King that is already in control….or stage a coup d'etat...

Kami-sama: Well yeah but there’s also a reason why I brought Ryuu here…He will guide Souma...but however Ryuu cannot return to the living...He will be part of a soul equipment….

Ryuu Kurogane: I see now...Kami-sama...I will guide him...It’s been awhile since I’ve went to the Nether realm...Hopefully it hasn’t changed much...and for the Soul equipment...I’ve already embedded part of my soul into my weapon and he’s already in the dungeon...please...when he undergoes the changes....make sure he survives….

Kami-sama: I’m afraid that depends on your descendant, Souma. It isn’t up to me...and he’ll have to undergo three changes once he finishes his initial stage…

Ryuu: Haaa. Well I suppose that makes sense...let’s hope my boy is as strong as I was…

****: Well from what I see, he already stole my form and Kami-sama is trying to develop his form even more….

Kami-sama: Don’t worry brother….He won’t turn into you...I will limit his transformation and his abilities will be reformed once again…

Ryuu: Kami-sama? What do you mean by that…?”

Kami-sama: The three changes that will happen after includes his change in abilities. He already encountered an apostle that was drawn to his power. However the reason was partially my fault so I have to take responsibility.

The change will deal with new forms….His magic abilities will be sealed in one of the forms. Upon learning magic, I’ve seen his power leak out heavily and decided upon this. His magic abilities will be placed upon a new form that hides his true abilities. This will help him hide his innate power and decrease the chances of getting caught.

The second change will be Ryuu’s abilities. They were already implemented but I’m going to limit them by reducing his power to 30%. Even at 30%, he has enough raw power to shape the landscape around him. However it won’t leak out as much and he’ll be able to learn his abilities better. Also with Ryuu’s abilities, they will gradually return to Souma but he has to meet a certain criteria. He already has Raijin because it was the first one he chose...luckily he did not choose Ryuujin….Out of the many forms Ryuu possesses, ultimately it will be up to Ryuu that decides which abilities he gets next.

The last change will be my tribulation for Souma. As he continues to grow, his power will slowly eat at his soul. The stronger the ability is, slightly more soul pieces are consumed. Then eventually his body will be consumed by his own power and may grow into something worse. This is something that comes with the price of being my apostle. You are granted enormous strength but at the risk of your life. However there is a way to remove that curse...I do not know myself but maybe Souma could find it since Ryuu could not…

Ryuu: I see...this will be hard on him...I feel that his troubles will only continue...Fate sure is cruel to me and my descendant...First I get lunged into this world and I had to fight a certain god under your orders, Kami-sama...Then you took half of my life just to send me back home…

Kami-sama: I am sorry...back then we had no choice...You did not possess my abilities to shift through worlds….and it was the only way to prevent you from gaining my curse...

Ryuu: It is alright...I spent my remaining time creating the Kurogane clan with my beautiful wife and I finally get to meet my descendant…

****: Brother...your apostle just finished off a Ignar Troll...they are sneaky bastards… and He might just be better than you…

Kami-sama: Oh shut it! At that time, I was busy having some **** and **** with that draconian female and I got interrupted!...The asshole bit my ass!....I nearly destroyed the entire forest because of a stupid troll….

****: Yeah yeah whatever, I hope your descendant doesn’t turn into you -_-

Ryuu: Oh such shameful acts...However I cannot disagree….I had my fair share when I was a proud Samurai…..fighting for his majesty, Taishou-tennou, Emperor Yoshihito...I created the Kurogane clan after leaving the emperor’s army after Hirohito assumed power...But before that, I was quite the charmer…

****: You two are hopeless...I don’t know how you people deal with women...Even as I was banished...Lilith stared at me with those seductive gazes….gave me the shivers….

Kami-sama: Ohoho...Brother...I think that your failure wasn’t the only reason Garoth banished you...Haha!

****: Alright alright! Stop now….Your apostle is approaching the dungeon...Go Ryuu...you must watch over your descendant….

Kami-sama: Oh Ryuu! Here’s some instructions...Once you tell him about his death, make sure you link with him telepathically so you share his emotions….Yes that means his memories will be sent along with you...wait until his form is done and once his armor is complete...Pierce the red crystal that will form somewhere on his armor...that is Souma’s hatred in its physical form…

Ryuu: Hai!

Kami-sama: Also tell Souma that I cannot talk to him for a while…

….

….

….

Souma’s armor had a demonic feature that was accentuated with the black miasma and darkness veil that covered his entire body. His face was shrouded in miasma and finally the helmet had begun to take form. A black metallic helmet formed around Souma’s head. His two horns were forming onto the helmet and pierced through the top. Metal edges appeared around his face and left an opening for his entire face. Souma’s face was covered in darkness and around the eye sockets were his piercing red glare that could not be concealed by the darkness. Dark sigils appeared around the sides of the helmet and within the mid-section of the helmet, on the forehead, there was a giant red crystal that radiated darkness. Various dark miasma rotated around the crystal and Ryuu saw his chance.

Ryuu stood up and lifted his index finger and pointed directly at the red crystal that formed at Souma’s forehead.

Ryuu walked forward and stood directly in front of Souma and pressed upon the red crystal that formed. Souma began to wail at the pain he received but Ryuu continued, pressing his finger forward into the crystal. The dark miasma was circulating around Ryuu’s hand but he continued to pierce the red crystal with his index finger. Cracks appeared on the crystal and darkness began to seep out of the crystal. The miasma had consumed Ryuu’s index finger but the job was finally done.

Ryuu sighed at his lost finger but laughed in the end…

“ahaha! What am I worried about...I’m already dead…” Ryuu mocked himself and suddenly Souma’s entire body began to brighten up, expunging the dark miasma and lighting up the entire void. The void changed to a completely white space and Souma was on the floor, face front kissing the ground.

Then Souma’s entire body began to heat up and his demonic form changed. He had reverted back to his original appearance before he lost his memories. The armor disappeared into the air and black leather clothes appeared on Souma. As he reverted, Red insignias enwrapped Souma’s entire body and the symbols began to shine brightly. Souma screamed as the pain was excruciating. He felt as if each part of his body was being torched. He screamed, jerked and cried all over and Ryuu simply watched over him. Eventually, Souma attempted to strangle himself but Ryuu held his hands and forced Souma to endure the burning torture. The sigils began to form strange runic symbols all over his body and finally dissipated into Souma’s skin.

But the pain wasn’t over. Souma’s body turned absolutely cold to the point where it had frozen the area in the void where he laid in. Souma tried to complain about the cold but he was too busy stuttering over the cold that his mouth had frozen shut. This time, two runic symbols appeared on his chest and shined with an alluring blue light. The temperature was continuing to decrease and Ryuu continued to watch over Souma.

Finally the cold had subsided and Ryuu felt at ease. Suddenly, Ryuu noticed a dark, miniature orb floating near the chest. The orb was little and mysterious but Ryuu somehow knew what it was. The orb was the thing that will slowly eat away at Souma’s soul. The orb began to merge into Souma’s chest and left a small black diamond at the middle between the two blue insignias.

Ryuu knew that Souma had to figure a way to remove the curse or his soul would cease to exist….

* * * * * *

For several days, Souma continued to lay unconscious and Ryuu got bored of waiting….

Ryuu attempted to wake Souma forcefully by slapping the hell out of him. *Slap!* Left *Slap!* Right *Slap!* Everywhere!? *smack* *slap*

Ryuu repeated this process until Souma’s face was swollen and turned purple from the continuous slaps and smacking on the face.

* * * * * *

Souma was beginning to return to the astral plane as his body was beginning to awaken. His eyelids began to shift a bit and finally he had woken up…

“Looks like you’re awake…” Ryuu spoke to Souma in an impatient tone since he had been waiting for almost a month for Souma to awaken…

“O-ojii-san...WHA WHA!?” As soon as he spoke, his entire face quaked in several bruises.

“AHHH OJII WHAT IS GOING ON!!! WHY DOES MY FACE HURT ACHA! ACHA!! AHHH IT HURTS” Souma began to wail and he started to roll all over on the ground while holding his face in pain.

“...Ehhh...Blame kami-sama...He did that…” Ryuu began to avert his gaze away from Souma and whistled to feign his entire innocence but obviously it was him that did that to Souma…

“DAMN YOU KAMI-SAMA!!!!” Souma screamed as he held his face in pain.

Ryuu tried to hold his laugh and he had a face that looked painful as he held his burst of laughter in…

As the pain and the swollen face began to return to normal, Souma felt different but he could not tell the difference since he had no real body to actually see what happened. Only his astral body was here but he could only feel his astral body but couldn’t see the features. Ryuu began to talk as Souma inspected his body….

“Kozo..you will have to return to the world of living...and seeing as your memories returned...I know you want to return to the girls but you cannot yet…”

“Ojii-san! Why not! They are probably waiting for me right now! Ojii!!” Souma pleaded for Ryuu’s explanation and he spoke…

“Kozo! Calm down!...It’s because of Kami-sama....and we must head for a certain realm...The people need your power...to save them...and you’ll return to the girls...don’t worry...I’ve seen your memories and I know how much you want to be near them...however you must follow your fate as I have...I also need your help...

Souma...I am going to go with you...you need not worry...However you must return to the living...You must follow my voice when you return...I will be waiting for you at the end of the dungeon…” Ryuu spoke to Souma in a solemn tone to show his understanding of Souma’s grief.

Souma continued to stare at Ryuu and contemplated on his situation...then he finally raised his head towards Ryuu..

“Alright alright...Ojii-san...I’ll help you…” Souma finally gave in and nodded towards Ryuu…

“Also...you aren’t dead yet...It’s just your body ceased all functions due to Kami-sama’s interference...but you will be soon…..if you don’t reach the next room...your astral body is beginning to fade and return to the living since Kami-sama is returning you...My boy...do not check any of your skills or stats until you complete the dungeon...Understood? and also...to complete the first floor, you must punch the wall and create a single path in another direction...that is the true way to finally leave that hellish floor...the floor continues endlessly…” Having finally been told the secret to advance onto the second floor, Souma’s body began to fade slowly and he was returning back..

“I will be waiting for you at the end of the dungeon...Kozo...Don’t worry...the first floor is really annoying but no one seems to figure it out hohoho...I made it that way so no one could figure out how to escape ohoho I am a genius...and many have died, trying to get MY weapon...but I want you to inherit it...since you are my descendant…and I’ve seen your power through your memories...”

Souma tried to reply back to Ryuu but his body had faded too fast and he disappeared from the void…

As he faded into darkness, he returned to the living but he didn’t have much time as he already exhausted his entire body.

As Souma laid on the floor, skinny to the point where his bones were clearly visible, he slowly grabbed hold onto the rusty sword that laid next to him.

Stabbing the 90 degree corner of the wall, Souma used the sword as support to heave his skinny body with little strength he had left. As he got halfway, his knees buckled and fell onto the floor, face flat and in pain…

Souma felt despair but the echoing voice of his great great grandfather forced him to stand up. Struggling with his legs quivering in weakness, he finally stood up once more with his frail body hanging by a thread.

Facing the wall, he shifted his body straightforward and barely raised his fist towards the wall. With his entire force, Souma punched the wall with a *ka-put!* sound. The punch had no effect whatsoever but Souma put his entire force into that last punch and a *ka-chink!* sound heard and an open pathway appeared. Green fire torches appeared alongside the opened pathway and revealed black insignias all over the walls.

Using the sword as a cane, Souma took one step and a gust of wind whisked his entire body and flung him along the pathway. Flying on by, Souma noticed the Kurogane Clan’s symbol etched onto ceiling of the pathway. His entire body was flying forward along with the wind and eventually came to a mysterious room.

In the room, there was only one door that probably lead to the next floor of the dungeon and a chair with a table….but the voice of Ryuu called out to Souma…

“...This is the room of serenity and reformation...sit in the middle of the room and meditate…”

The voice spoke a few commanding words and eventually faded into darkness.

Souma, following Ojii-san’s words, walked towards the center of the room with his rusty cane/sword and gently sat down and began to meditate. As he meditated, his entire body was enveloped in the smell of cherry blossoms and the serenity of nature. He opened his eyes and watched the beautiful sakuras appear all around him and the blossom enveloped his entire body. As the cherry blossoms covered him, he felt nature itself and had begun to recover. His entire body was returning back to its original pristine shine with his overwhelming aura of masculinity. His face was now recognizable and his hands no longer showed signs of his bones. Souma had returned to his original appearance and the cherry blossoms had faded away and he returned to the original room where it was lit with the green torches. Souma took one breath and felt his entire body filled with life. It was a brutal fate that he had faced and now he has to continue on…

Finally recovered, Souma stood up and stretched his entire body that seemed to be refreshed but somehow it felt weird to him. Before continuing on, he felt the urge for something; FOOD….

Food was necessary but it didn’t seem like the room had anything prepared for food!

Suddenly, he remembered his Chef form and he immediately changed. While donning the toque, his entire surroundings changed into a modernized kitchen with the appropriate utensils and ingredients. Finally, he was going to make food as he hasn’t eaten in months!....

Upon opening the fridge, he grabbed a bowl of cold rice and turned on the stove. He took out a wok and placed it on the stove then began to cut the ingredients. By pouring the oil, he added the garlic as the first ingredient to give it flavor and began to add the rice. Taking out the sesame oil, he poured it onto the rice and added soy sauce to give it that brown color. Then he added the vegetables to cook along with the rice that glowed brown. Souma turned another stove burner on and placed another frying pan with vegetable oil. Then he took another set of chopped garlic and placed it onto the oil. After that, he took the chicken pieces that he had already cut earlier and began to fry it separately. Immediately the entire kitchen was enticed with the oriental smell of sesame oil, chicken and fried rice. Souma added more soy sauce to the chicken to give it a nice salt flavor and began to add the chicken to the fried rice. The last step was to finish cooking the meal and he immediately began to swish the entire wok to help the ingredients mix properly. *Swish!* *swish* Souma continued with the flame burning high onto the wok and using his master chef skills, he had created an excellent Chicken Fried Rice dish that surrounded the entire room in oriental flavors. Souma quickly canceled his form and began to move the food towards the table that was originally in the room. His own portable kitchen of course disappeared with his form but the lingering smell stayed along with the food he had created. Sitting on the chair, Souma began to devour the giant plate of chicken fried rice. Seconds later, he did not even notice but the entire plate was consumed and he left nothing, not even a speck of rice. Souma rubbed his stomach in happiness that he had finally eaten something and a window appeared that had certain effects from the food…

Chicken Fried Rice of the Gods!

Made by a master chef

Quality: S

Effects: Regenerative properties are enhanced.

Stamina is boosted to 150% for 20 minutes.

Strength is boosted to 150% for 10 minutes.

Special effects: Vision cannot be clouded, all senses are enhanced by the food by 20 minutes. The effects can only be canceled by a stronger force.

Souma looked at the window and smiled.

“Ohhh...This is definitely good...I’ll make sure not to waste it then..”

After Souma complimented his own dish and the special effects, he immediately stood up and walked towards the door. Placing his hand on the door, the Kurogane symbol appeared on the center and the door opened, leading to some stairs that lead towards the 2nd floor below.

As he continued on, Souma felt his senses tinge in delight as he did not know what to expect next….

* * * * * *

Far, far away from Souma, the first girl group was already advancing to the 3rd floor. They were amidst a slime battle against elemental slimes that conjured elemental attacks upon the invaders of the dungeon. The girls were already prepared and continued to fight as they were protected by the defensive spells they had learned. Tamago-chan was riding in a backpack that was given to Akane to carry her in. As they ventured onward, more lines grew upon Tamago-chans shell and Akane felt something was going to happen in the future…*Flash* *Bang* *Clash* The spells were increasing as they exchanged spells back and forth. A Fire elemental slime casted a flame bolt however it was easily defeated by Alveani’s water spell. Suddenly, a lightning slime crept around the corners and casted a lightning jolt but before the lightning reacted to Alveani’s water, Amelia had already seen the slime and casted a earth shield to block the jolt and encased the lightning slime in a earth coffin. Quick and steadily, the group advanced through the 3rd and 4th floor, reaching the final floor that had a huge corridor that lead to the giant door. Upon standing in front of the door, they felt the pressure grow stronger and knew that it was the boss room. They needed to reseal the orb that was disturbed in the dungeon with a crystallization spell. Akane stepped forward and the door swung open. It was quite the dark room and the orb was seen on the back end of the room, floating with energy spiraling around it. However in the middle of the room, was a demonic being that glared at the group of girls with its red eyes. The beast bared its carnal fangs and threatened the entire group until Alveani shouted…

“Alright! Remember the plan! Vanguard, Akane and Amelia, distract while me and Tifania will sneak by and reseal the orb. Once everything is done, we will immediately leave! I will not have us risking our lives...and besides...Souma would miss us if any of us went missing…” Alveani spoke with a courageous tone and the girls nodded with fierce expressions and they headed out…

* * * * * *

The town had grown exponentially, various houses were plotted and finally a walkway was established. The people continued to work hard and even the Treants offered to help since the girls were helping with the dungeon crisis. The town’s construction was reduced to half the time, since majority of the Treants could easily reproduce the wood and majority of the manpower was focused on the construction and architectural work.

* * * * * *

The girls of Evercliff had continued towards their future and Neiru and Alina finally finished helping with the reconstruction of Evercliff. Neiru lead the city’s politics while Alina was busy training the mercenaries. Leia and Neena went off to the Academy to pursue their magical abilities and Neena was busy creating a new concoction for Rain to consume once they meet later in the future...Shina had arrived in Orylheim and had already began her Miko training. They continued on and progressed towards their future.

* * * * * *

Back at the dungeon, Souma had opened the door and finally descended the stairs. Ryuu’s voice resounded and spoke once more when he reached the next floor below…

“...Souma...this is simply the start of your trial...I hope you did not think I was going to let you carry my weapon without testing you first...and no cheating…” The voice faded into the air and Souma sighed at his new trials…

He looked at the room and saw the entire floor covered in lava. There was absolutely no floor path or anything to step on. It was clearly lava and Souma couldn’t use his godlike affinities to create a path….

“Haaa...goddamit...curse my fate...DAMN YOU KAMI-SAMA!!!” Souma yelled into the ceiling to show his discomfort and suddenly…

A gust of wind flew passed him which made him lean forward and fall into the lava…

As he was falling, he heard the words from Kami-sama…

“Ohoho!! Well damn you too...good luck...kekeke”

Souma fell into the lava…
