Chapter 5: Troublesome...Or is it?

On the Plains of Calm Winds, there was a village settlement. It was a peaceful settlement as the beasts and animals co-existed with the human beings there. They took as much as they need from the wildlife and never took more than they needed. It was a peaceful cohabitation between man and beast. Upon entering the village, bustling voices could be heard all around. Merchants haggling prices to get the highest bidder, Blacksmiths hitting the hot iron loudly within the forge, regular people talking about their everyday lives. That day was as normal as everyday until you came upon an Inn. It stood at least 3 stories tall, with the main lounge being the first floor with the other floors being guest rooms. On the 3rd floor a window was open and a man stood there basking in his...nakedness.

‘I should get some clothes….this is pretty embarrassing that a kid probably 2-3 years younger than me looked at me bare...’

“Well there’s a first for everything….” Souma shrugged off the feeling and began to get the clothes from the dresser.

The clothes were neatly folded and approximately a size larger. Assuming that they probably didn’t have clothes for a 15 year old. It was a black shirt and black pants. They looked comfortable and someone could easily move about in them.

But then a fact struck out at him…

‘THEY FIT!?’

Souma, who did not even once look at his body had already changed a bit slightly. Muscles were more toned and heavily detailed. His height grew a few more inches and his shoulders were heavily stoked with broadness. Souma’s arms had muscles that were tightly packed and as he stretched about, they were flexible as well.

Laughter began to ensue.

“mufufufufu…”

“Hahaaaaa…”

Souma seemed great that his training wasn’t for naught. The only reason he performed those rigorous training was to actually get used to the feeling so it could be duplicated outside of his meditation state. Souma also was shocked that his body was unconscious for 15 days but it was a minor setback compared to his newly flexible body.

‘Oh! I am going to abuse this skill!?’

“THIS IS THE NEW HYPERBOLIC CHAMB-”

Before Souma even finished he heard a voice similar to the girl that addressed his nakedness.

“Hurry and come down mister!”

Souma quickly put on the black shirt which his muscles bulged out from and the black pants that complimented his legs as well.

He patted Akane seeing as she probably didn’t sleep as often because she was looking out for her owner.

“Thank you Akane..” Souma quickly pecked the Sabretooth’s forehead and left the room.

Once again forgetting about Tamago-chan…

As he slowly descended down the stairs towards the first floor, he was greeted with smiles from a middle-age woman and a tall muscular man. Although the girl was there too but her face was receded behind the tall man as she was embarrassed from earlier.

“Ahh, its finally good to meet you, young man.” Said the woman whose aura was like peaches. She smiled towards Souma and he replied with a bow.

“Thank you and pardon my rudeness. I am fairly new around here and I do not have a means to pay you back for your hospitali-” Before he even finished he was interrupted by the man.

“Son, your body wasn’t in a good condition. After the guards brought you to the village, you continued to scream for 10 days. It was a wreck! But we do not know what has happened but we are kind people in this village. We do not ask for any payment.”

“But sir! I must repay your kindness in anyway shape or form!” Souma spoke with alertness as he wasn’t going to just mooch off of people he just met and he was already in debt for 15 days of care.

“Hahh! Boy, you are most valiant! I have never met someone like you.”

“Yes, young man you do not have to repay because we are very kind to strangers and I hope you’ll continue to stay as our daughter has taken a liking to you however I do not know why…” The woman spoke to Souma and as she finished, the daughter was beet red and Souma seemed to fidget.

‘Ahh damn, I’m a pervert to her...and the parents do not know...I should just repay them...WITH HARD WORK! Yes that’ll do and quickly get out...I do not want to shame my honor and become a unseemly pervert in the eyes of a girl that seems younger than me...’

“No no, I would like to repay you anyway. If there is any assistance you need around this magnificent Inn, I shall work hard to pay off my debts. I am a man of my code and I will take nothing less. Please allow me to repay you.” Souma got on the floor and began to prostrate himself below the shocked family.

“Ah ah ah! Honey what should we do.”

“Nothing, we must accept his will. As a fellow man I understand his morals and he seems to be a righteous one. But, I am curious about the “certain” relationship these two have.”

The man began to point towards the trembling girl and Souma’s expression darkened.

‘AHHH!! I need to clear this up!?...Should I lie? NO! That is not a wise choice but the father looks like he can kill a few people and I do not know if he has weapons around...’

Souma could only worry but he finally stuck to his gut and told the truth…

“Sir, for as long as I’ve been here, I have sullied your trust. I haven’t met you long enough to gain your trust but I can understand if you are willing to kick me out after this. Once I awakened from my sleep, my body had no equipment of the sort and I stood bare naked in front of your daughter’s view. Please forgive me! and I am willing to do your bidding in order to repay my debt!” Souma’s expression turned pale and continued to prostrate in front of the man that began to twindle his mustache.

One minute passed…

Two minutes passed…

*Pffft-Hahahaha!!* “Boy, you are too funny! Why so serious? No need to be like this stand up! My daughter is at fault since she’s the one who stared at you isn’t that right, Amelia?

‘OH OH! I THANK YOU BENEVOLENT MAN!!’

‘Oh ohhhh, her name is also Amelia it is a most splendid name.’

Souma stood up and began to look at the family that stood in front of him. A laughing man, a still beet red daughter and a woman that tried her hardest not to laugh at the poor soul which was Souma.

“I, thank you...Umm sorry rude manners of mine. My name is Souma. Souma Kurogane may I ask the names of this wonderful family that is so kind to me?”

“Ah! Boy, my name is Leo Leinist and my wife's name is Aerylith and my 13 year old daughter, Amelia. Nice to meet you lad!”

“Hahaa, thank you for having me. This is a wonderful family and such a decor this inn has. I can tell that it was made with love and care.”

“Well, I can guarantee that since I made the house and these two women did all the furnishing!”

Leo patted Souma’s shoulder and began to put him in a headlock.

“Ahh! cuh cuh cuh…”

“L-let me goooo!!”

“No can do, this is barely enough for showing my daughter that body of yours” Leo chuckled at Souma and he began to smile.

“Ohh, well then!”

Souma easily broke off the headlock.

“Let’s go then pops!”

Souma broke off in a jog out the door and Leo began chase.

“Hey! WHY DID YOUR ATTITUDE AND VOICE CHANGED!? Where’d the charismatic and valiant boy go!?”

“Haha, it is proper courtesy to show respect to one’s caretakers but once they get to know me, I change very much so!”

“Is that so!”

Leo lunged and grabbed Souma. Leo taking this chance to capture Souma but he broke the hold.

“Pops, I may be young but I can fight!”

“Let’s go boy!”

The two ‘boys’ began to tackle and spar each other and Aerylith and Amelia could only sigh as they somehow expected this.

“Ohhh my! those two are troublesome. I thought the young man was different but boys are always boys.”

“Haa, he is full of surprises…” Amelia spoke softly and began to smile at Souma who was tackling her father.

After a day of “hard” work, Leo and Souma returned to the Inn to spot a Sabretooth waiting at the porch and a grumbling egg.

As soon as Akane spotted her owner, she leaped towards Souma to tackle him and smother him with licks.

“Ah ah ! I-I cannnt bwreatheeee!”

After Akane expressed her love towards Souma, she stopped and began to nudge at Souma.

“What is it..?”

“purrrr….rwr…!”

Akane pointed her paw towards the egg that began to shuffle about. Souma walked towards Tamago and kissed the egg.

“I see..you two were worried. Sorry for troubling you two..”

Souma spoke and Tamago finally calmed down and a voice echoed past the door.

“Dear! CAN YOU HURRY UP AND WASH UP FOR DINNER!? What can I do with these two kids seriously!”

Souma and Leo were both shocked. Souma being shocked that this woman was yelling at the two and Leo shocked at the fact that Aerylith is wearing an apron! Damn she's sexy!

Leo could only smile. He wanted to do something but he couldn’t due to Souma being there and his Daughter Amelia was watching both of them.

“Okay honey! we’ll go take a shower! Come Souma we shall take a shower Maybe I might see the reason why my daughter likes you so much! Hahahaha!”

Leo winked at Amelia as he finished his sentence and Amelia turned extremely red and began to hide behind the plate that was on the table.

“ANATA! Hurry and go shower! You too Young man! You’re still new here but I can’t have you dirty while eating my food!”

Both answered, “ Hai!!”

Souma and Leo entered the shower which was fairly huge. Souma could only bask in the size while Leo gazed upon Souma.

“Hmmm, no doubt why my daughter likes you, Souma! Haha and the muscles compliment the monster hidden down there!!”

“Oooy oy, pops you should refrain from staring at your new friend!”

Both began to snicker about and laughing ensued throughout the night. After eating, everyone prompted themselves to sleep however I did not.

I wanted to review the damn notifications but I woke up after being unconscious for fifteen days. ‘Ohhh my life is a harsh one...’

Souma put Tamago-chan and Akane on the bed to sleep together and Souma left the night. He easily jumped down the 3 story building. Guards were on patrol, even if it were a nice community, one cannot be too sure.

Souma sped fast the various guards by sneaking into shadows and passing through nooks and crannies.

Souma exited the village and found a large tree to prompt himself on top. He climbed from the base and used the branches to propel himself towards the next branch and so on. He reached the top but slapped himself.

‘Duhhh!! I could’ve just jumped up here….this height is nothing to my jumping ability!!’

Souma sat down on the bed of tree leaves and began his full-lotus position. Drifting into nothing, Souma opened his eyes to the familiar white room which he grew accustomed to within those 4 months.

Souma sat down and called, “Information! and Skills!”

A thinned out window appeared in front of Souma and he began to review to the stats he gained…

Souma noticed a crap ton of new skills that were added.

But a new section was added to the skills…’

Then it clicked.

‘Ohhhh, in order for the unknown bonuses to be unlocked, I must understand how the skill works by testing it and working around with it!!!’

“YESSS!!!”

But still damn, I’m pretty good. Look at all those masteries….

Souma looked pretty satisfied and he had to think about what he should do now.

‘Hmm, so far I have a place to live...Tomorrow I should visit the village and people...Then spend the rest of the day helping the Inn...I think maybe I can cook since I read Dad’s cooking book but definitely I should do manual labor. Looks like the backyard needs to be cleaned with all those huge stones laying about and I can reorganize their firewood….etc..’

For the next hour, Souma began to think of ways to help out the Inn and eventually he’ll have to leave so he's gonna have to work around and learn some new stuff from the village folks.

Seeing as Souma was satisfied, he returned back to the village and jumped to the 3rd floor through the window. Seeing as no one saw him sneak out or snuck back in, he slowly slept next to Tamago and Akane.

Souma felt really stupid as he was in debt the moment he arrived to this new world but he couldn't be more glad that it was a kind family with the father akin to his Shishou. He felt warm inside since he was a bit closer to home even though he was worlds apart.

Next day…

“ugghhh...It’s morning...I can feeeeeeeeeeeel the morning breeezeeee. Achoo!”

Souma woke up extremely early. He sneezed because his stupid self forgot to close the window. So much for being intelligent.

“Haaaaa, I’m stupid…Well, I have to do a regular morning workout. Even though I got this new body and all, I shouldn’t neglect morning training like Shishou always said, “Those who neglect tend to forget!”.

Souma rose from his bed without disturbing Akane and Tamago. He looked at the still darkened sky that started to dawn before him.

‘I should do a morning run right? Let’s see how well this body can handle! From the Astral Plane, I could run really fast so I should be fine here right?’

Souma quickly put on the shoes that laid next to the dresser and jumped out the window from the 3rd floor.

‘Man! I love jumping out of there! At first I really hated it but now it seems like a second nature...’

Souma landed on the floor and immediately began a speed burst. He dashed down the village houses quickly passing the views of morning people. Souma’s speed was steadily increasing and after images were produced. At first Souma simply ran around the houses and the entire settlement but he got bored so thus he decided to change a few things. As he ran faster, he started to do various martial art forms while amid of running. The after images produced his stances as he varied each martial forms differently. He switched from Muay thai to Russian Sambo and continued on. The after images looked like multiple people dancing. The village people only looked slack jawed. They didn’t know what was going on but they could see multiple variations of a 15 year old boy wearing black clothing doing strange forms in succession.

Souma ran even faster, changing speeds as he changed directions. He wanted to see if he could break his limit so Souma ran out of the northern gate while the guards were shocked to see the after images. As soon as he left, he broke into a speed burst different from the others. An aftershock from the force of his burst broke down the northern gate and Souma continued without thought. He sped faster and reached his initial camping ground where he met Akane and Tamago. He ran past there and went further towards the trees that were taller than any skyscraper he’s seen.

As he ran, shock waves blasted through the forest. His after images produced a skill along with a Sonic boom skill but he paid no mind to those as he sped towards the forest of large trees. Soon, he went past the forest and towards the hills but clearly they were mountains!

“Ah ah! Nanda kore wa!? (What is this!?) THAT’S HUGE!!”

Still Souma paid no mind to it and ran up the mountain.

He finally reached the peak and looked at the other side. The place was vast with forest life, greenery was clearly Nature’s blessing and she definitely did a number over here. The place was teeming with wildlife that coexisted rather than hunting each other. They truly lived in harmony. Souma wanted to stay longer to bask in Nature’s blessings but the sun was rising. He had to get back to the inn before they start looking for him.

Souma turned tail and sped faster than he did and created several sonic booms along the way. He reached the settlement and quickly approached the guard that stood at the broken northern gate.

“Hey! Did you do this!?”

“Sir, yes..I am sorry! I will happily work to repair this gate! I did not know that I broke it…”

“Holy cow man! For such a youngster like yourself, how did you move that fast…? Are you willing to teach!!”

“Ahh ah ah, no sir I just learned it from training….nothing special…”

“Really now...I’ve trained half of my life and I am no where near that speed….”

Souma began to fidget…

“Ahh well I have to go! Leo is waiting for me!”

“Ah! Leo, so you’re that new kid that passed out righ-”

Before he even finished I left as quickly as I could towards the inn.

It’s already morning and people were moving about, getting their day started and the Inn was already awake.

Frantic screams could be heard and Amelia could be heard.

“Souma is gone!!”

“Now now dear, maybe he went outside for a walk or something! Why else would he leave his pets behind!”

I approached the door and opened it carefully but instead was tackled down by Amelia.

“wa..wahhh! Where’d you go…*sniffle*”

‘Wait, what? why is she crying…?’ I looked at her with a confused expression..

“Oh Amelia! You’re troubling him! Go upstairs and change!”

“Y-yes mother…”

I patted her head and began to stand up then Aerylith began to talk.

“Sorry about that young man, She’s not really fond of people leaving..We lost our son...he was around your age...When he went to enlist...he never came back and all we got was his sword…*sniffle*”

Aerylith expression turned grim and tears formed.

I walked towards her and began to comfort her.

“Oh that’s why she did that...Well, I can’t replace your son or anything but I won’t leave anytime soon you can count on that!” I gave her a big smile and Leo was watching everything.

“Oy oy, you steal my daughter now aiming for my wife!? Pfft- hahaha!” Leo laughed but then his expression turned to the opposite.

“Ahh, Leon...my son..” Leo looked dejected but his Wife began to perk up.

“Now now let’s ignore that and we should eat..” Aerylith did her best to change the subject and both Leo and I noticed so we nodded in succession and ate.

After a delicious Breakfast, I turned towards Leo and spoke.

“Hey pops, can I go around the village to learn about the people? Then later in the afternoon I can help around the house?”

“Oh sure! But I should come along too…”

“Well, no need to come I can handle myself..”

Leo’s expression turned grim.

“No Souma, you will need me to come with you...Trust me, you’ll know..”

Aerylith suddenly sprang up as if she remembered something.

“Oh honey! shouldn’t we just tell Souma about it?”

“No, he’ll find out about it. I’m surprised he didn’t get caught this morning”

‘Caught...CAUGHT!?’

“Wait what!? Is there a beast here!?”

“No Souma...well there certainly are a lot of “beasts” here.” Leo smiled wickedly at me and all I could do was shrug in discontempt….

After telling Akane and Tamago-chan to stay at the inn, I returned to the first floor to begin exploration of the village. I was ushered by Leo towards the door and we left the inn.

To this day, I still do not know what kind of village I came into….

After walking down the streets, I felt multiple stares as if I was being hunted. I steered next to Leo to ask…

“Hey pops why do I feel like we’re being glared at…?”

“Ohh, you’ll find out soon…”

I could only wonder….

Continuing down the street, I noticed massive amounts of females in the area. A female was drying clothes, A female was tending her garden, A female was sweeping, A female...A female....A female....A female....A FEMALE....

‘TOO MUCH FEMALES!?’

I looked at Leo for an explanation and we stopped.

“Hey pops...why is there a lot of females…” I shuddered at the stares I received…

“Well, let me explain a few things. In this village, there are multiple females, that easily outnumber us males...The ratio is about 15:1...meaning that we are in need of males. The males you saw earlier were already married to their destined ones and also me as I married Aerylith. A law states that a woman cannot steal a married man so where does that bring you?” A grin plastered across Leo's face.

“Po- No, Leo...why didn’t you tell me this…!?”

I gave a dreaded expression at the man that tricked me.

“Well, it’ll be fun...I also met my wife through this ordeal maybe you’ll find your true love! But, also love my daughter too! she likes you!”

“WAIT WHAT!? NO NO NO THIS CAN’T BE HAPPENING!”

“Well, most of the males are guards, merchants, store owners and the blacksmith...so good luck..boy or should I say soon-to-be man. *pft-hahaha*”

“DAMN YOU LEO! WAIT ONE THING!? AM I SAFE IN THE INN!!!!!?”

“Oh, you’re safe there no problem. You’ll be safe as long as there’s a male near you that is married. The females can’t touch you...And besides..Isn’t it fun this way :D”

Leo began to run away from Souma and the glares from the females turned all upon Souma.

“Oh no…”

Groups of females poured out and ran towards Souma.

“AYE AYE NOOOOO!!!” I quickly fastened myself and jumped towards a nearby roof.

*pfft-hahahaha!*

“I WIN! MWAHAH-”

He continued to laugh but suddenly stopped as females that owned the house he was on top of arrived on the roof.

“URYAAAAH!”

I sped away from the group and jump down onto the street as groups of females chased me.

The females were astonished and slack jawed but they could not lose their future husband. Even some females became elaborate. They used nets to restrain Souma but it was futile as he could see everything slightly slower once he ran faster. The group were even more shocked as they saw after images of Souma. They tried to catch him and the moment they seemed to get him, it actually was an after image.

Many of the females passed out from fatigue as this continued for 5 hours. Souma continued on until half of the females dropped out.

‘oh damn, I think some girls might be passing out...it’ll be bad...’

I turned around away from the the group of females that ran towards me like starving wolves and sped towards the passed out females. I noticed the guards were helping the females and I started to pitch in.

Leo could only laugh as he left Souma to his fate. As he approached the inn, he saw groups of females passed out in the Inn. Guards coming back left and right and Leo wondered what was going on.

Leo saw a familiar Guard, Samuel and began to talk to him.

“Hey Samuel, what’s going on? Why are the females here??”

“Oh, you know females are going after that boy you brought in. They can’t catch him so majority of them passed out. Oh speak of the devil here comes that boy.”

Leo looked behind him and saw a grim figure of a 15 year old boy that carried a woman in his arms.

“Oy oy, Leo we are gonna settle this..Just you wait..”

An immediate chill ran down Leo’s back and he could have sworn that Souma’s eyes changed color.

“Hehe..hee...I’m dead aren’t I?”

Aerylith stood behind Leo in anger.

“A-N-A-T-A!! How could you let Souma do this!?”

“Now wait wait Aerylith, dear...The boy has to learn from experience...and and...and “

Aerylith grabbed Leo’s left ear not wasting a single moment to teach him a lesson but both immediately stopped.

I turned around after laying the somewhat 20 year old woman next to the rest of the females that were passed out and did a speed burst that shocked the guards along with Leo and Aerylith.

Leo and Souma tested their strengths against each other the other day and both were equally matched however this little stunt proved otherwise...

“This punk...SOUMA YOU CHEAP MOTHERF-”

“ANATA! Stop! You’ll be getting an earful and YOU ARE SLEEPING IN THE GUEST ROOM FOR A WEEK.”

Leo’s face turned white and luckily Souma didn’t hear anything or else he would be rolling on the floor laughing at Leo.

I sped towards the remaining females that wore a dejected look as the handsome boy they continuously chased was actually helping them.

The guards could only laugh. A teenage boy that looked really handsome was actually helping his captors.

The rest of the females were rounded up and a elderly man came to the inn.

I told the guards that this was the last female that passed out and they should return to their post.

Total count of females: 76

I looked at the large crowd of females that were too tired to even get up.

‘Oh man, I think they at least deserve this...Damn that Leo! I can’t get married yet! Not now at least..I still have to find a way to get home...’

Most of the females were sleeping on the chairs and a few woke up and saw Souma helping the passed out females. Many of the females thanked the young man for helping them and some actually apologized however they said a phrase that’ll haunt him tonight.

“We’re not giving up...oh handsome..Look at those muscles! Kyaaa!!”

Souma quickly dismissed the kyaaa noises and was about to head upstairs when an elderly man came through the door.

“a-ah y-young lad, I-i see you’ve h-elped th-he people..”

Turning around, I quickly bowed and gave my introduction.

“Ah, I didn’t do much. My apologies, my name is Souma Kurogane and I am currently a tenant at this lovely inn. Are you perhaps the elder of this village?”

“Y-yes. I-i w-wanted to m-meet you but I d-didn’t have time..”

“Ah, please hold on for a moment. I will bring down a chair from my room upstairs and let you sit down.”

“N-no need. I just need to tell you a few things...W-when the t-time comes p-please visit my house..It’s a gray house..Leo should know where it is…And also, I-is there a-anything I can do for you..?”

I thought long and hard about this question...Hmmm

‘I probably should ask for information but I think he’ll explain that to me when I go to his house...Maybe have some sort of warrant that made sure the females won’t attack me...’

“Ah yes, I would like a special case from this “law” that allows women to “attack” me. They cannot force themselves onto me but they can act like proper women and try to talk to me. Also, as a roundabout once I leave the village gates they are willing to pry themselves onto me as per say the law…”

The women looked dejected but seemed a bit hopeful that they can at least talk to Souma and once outside the gates they can catch him and do whatever they wanted to him….

“Y-yes...o-okay...that’s r-reasonable…..”

The elder finished talking and left the Inn while following in suit the females steadily left the building. Several stayed behind to attempt to talk to Souma but he quickly went to bed. Akane and Tamago slept on the ground this time because they waited for Souma to return but they got tired so they drifted to sleep beside the 2-person bed.

Souma got into bed and stared at the ceiling…

‘hahhhh it sure was troublesome...Damn that leo! I will get my reven-’

*Snoreeeeee*

*Scuffle*

*Purrrr*

As Souma drifted in his sleep, he dreamt about his Teacher and his father whom he missed very much. Then the dream switched to the beautiful two suns that floated above. He ushered his hands towards the suns as if meaning to grab it. Noises could be heard but Souma paid no attention, he felt as if he had the suns in his hands burning with passion and he woke up once he heard a moan….

The moment he woke up his eyes nearly popped out. His hands surely wanted to grab the two suns and he definitely grabbed two 'suns' with passion. Souma cupped a second feel to see if he was dreaming and the unknown woman began to moan...

“Kyyunn *moan*”

"Ahh, that feels...nice...more..."

“OH…..MY……….GAAHHHHH”

I quickly took my hands off the woman and stammered back and hit the wall with my head…

All I could think was...’What the hell...’

And I passed out until morning.
