《Re:Insanity》Side Story 002: The Lazy Goddess

Somewhere in the God's realm, two figures could be seen. The two was sitting on a chair beside a table.
"*Sigh... I wish I can sleep like... forever.(?)
The one who spoke had an voluptuous body, wearing a white outfit that slightly showed her cleavage. She rested her cheeks on the table lazily. Her eyes was half closed making her look a little droopy. She was the Goddess of Judgement, Aira.
"Please don't say that. You need to do your task, you know?(?)
Aira was responded by the one in front of her. The who responded was sitting at the other side of the table while drinking some tea, she had a childish body and small cute face, also wearing a white outfit. She had spoke in polite manner as she took a sip from the tea she's drinking. She was Iena, the one who managed the world that Jeff once lived on.
"I want to but there's no one qualified for the position. So I can't do my task right now."(Aira)
"*Sigh... The others had already have their apostles. You still haven't have one. You'll get scold again, you know?"(Iena)
Iena stared at Aira with concern. The reason was that, Aira hasn't got assigned someone as her apostle.
Aira was seen as a lazy and stubborn Goddess. In truth, well she is actually lazy and stubbornly picky, but she does her tasks very well. Most of the Apostles he pick are very outstanding people and done many good deeds. Since the last Apostle she had is already gone, she has been finding many individuals who are qualified for the position of being her Apostle. But she hasn't found anyone meeting her criteria.
Apostle are the ones picked by the Gods, to do their task. Since the Gods can't meddle too much with human's world, the Apostles are the ones to do their job.

Their tasks are quite simple. The God who choose them will give them orders, then the Apostles obey it and do their job. Apostles aren't just some errand boy that follows order. Being an Apostle also has great benefit to it. Gods rewards their Apostles when they do their job appropriately. They can for the ask for the reward they want, but of course it is limited.
Depending on the God who choose you, the orders are will be different. Like the Goddess of Light who protects the innocent people, who orders her Apostle to protect them and such.
There's also sometimes when a Apostle rebel from their orders or abuse their position, when this happens the Gods will remove their position and the blessings that was given to them, or worse they could get executed.
If someone is invited by a God to be their Apostle they can
"Aren't there many people who meets the requirements for the position?"(Iena)
"Yeah, there are..."(Aira)
"Then why do have someone yet?"(Iena)
"Well I don't like their attitudes.."(Aira)
"....That's not required for the position."(Iena)
"What do you want me to do? Just pick them? Like the current Hero right now? Seriously he's quite annoying you know. The generic harem seeking MC, who saves people and gets the girl, plus he's a pervert. Now tell me, do you want that guy to be your Apostle?"(Aira)
Iena's calm face suddenly went grim.
"....I may not be a Goddess but if he becomes my Apostle. I would say no, I guess..."(Iena)
"See? That's why I don't want to pick someone just because he's qualified. The Hero definitely has some sense of justice, he knows who he needs to kill, but no, I don't want him."(Aira)
"...."(Iena)

Iena started to think of helping her friend. Aira has been her friend ever since she became the manager of Earth. They would casually chat with each other and didn't mind their positions.
As Iena fall into her thoughts. She remembered someone that may be qualified for the job.
"Then, how about Jeff?"(Iena)
"Jeff? Oh... the guy you mentioned the other day."(Aira)
When Jeff was transferred to the other world, Iena told Aira about Jeff. The kindness he showed her, the unstable mind he has, even the past he had.
"Don't you think he's qualified? He has the sense of justice, he's also kind and he's not a pervert!"(Iena)
Iena cheerfully suggested her opinion. She was slightly blushing as she said that.
"Hmmm... well he might be qualified but I don't know... I might need to observe him to see if he's really qualified."(Aira)
"Then do it now. You'll get scolded by higher ups later if you told them you still haven't found an Apostle."(Iena)
"Okay, I'll do it tomorrow."(Aira)
"Do it now... You really are lazy. I'll be going now, I still need to do my job after all."(Iena)
"Bye..."(Aira)
Iena stood and slowly walked away. Aira waved her hands while her cheeks are still on the table. Iena's figure completely disappeared. Aira also stood up.
"I guess I'll also sleep tomorrow..."(Aira)
commenting also helps...
Peace....

My Best Friend is an Eldritch Horror
Good things come to those who wait. Damien Vale didn't, and now he's bound to an Eldritch creature from beyond the farthest reaches of the universe. It's unfathomable, utterly evil, and likes to be called Henry. To Damien, none of that mattered. He was going to learn magic, and he'd be damned if he let something as small as this set him back. When Damien started his first year at a mage college, he didn't expect it to be easy. However, when he's assigned to room with a strange girl that has magic that even Henry is wary of, Damien realizes things might not be so easy. He sets out to accomplish his life goal of becoming a powerful mage, all the while dealing with a murderous professor, an eldritch creature that's created a persona to act like a teenager, and a new roomate that's far more perceptive than he'd like. As Damien struggles to deal with the rammifications of the monster within him, a disturbing fact comes to life: Henry might not be the only eldritch creature on the mortal plane, and he's the only one that can stop them. NOTE: This story is progression fantasy with some very basic litRPG elements (such as a wristband that shows a character's stats). It is not a full on litRPG - it's a progression fantasy story with litRPG elements. The story will contain some romance, but it will not be explicit nor will it take over the story. It starts off slow, but will pick up speed quickly around chapter 26. Enjoy! My Best Friend is an Eldritch Horror was origonally started as a way to thank my patreons. I will be keeping the patreon updated 15 chapters in advance. Enjoy! Cover art by Skyedrun!

The General Core {The Sphere}
The life cycle in the Sphere is on the brink of collapse because one of its elements, the Dungeons, have been exploited too much by the mortals. The group who created the Sphere already tried and failed with several modifications, because the original computer-like dungeon cores are too inflexible to handle changing approaches. So they try another type of solution – taking souls from other worlds to try to find a solution before the Sphere Cycle breaks down completely. The General was one of the best soldiers of his world, rising from the ranks of a private through Officer School to the highest command with honors. But when his world faced a zombie apocalypse, even that was not enough and he had to make the ultimate sacrifice. Now he is asked for a repeat performance of planning and controlling a dungeon and its spawns in a world that he knows nothing about… But what is the Sphere really? What is that [Xenotic conversion] he has to go through to even enter the Sphere? Something is really strange and he will have to find out what is going on to get to his promised rewards – whatever they will be. Being a soul in a dungeon core means that the General has better chances of finding hints to the truth about the sphere – a knowledge that would help him survive. And no, the sphere is NOT a virtual reality – the key to its secrets is the place where it was physically constructed (Author’s hint). This is a dungeon core story - but there are quite a number of things that I will do differently than common to those stories. 1) I will describe the floors when they are explored, NOT when they are build. Yes, that will mean it will take longer to get to those parts - but I think describing floors both when they are build and when they are explored destroys quite a lot of chances for suspense when adventurers enter the dungeon. After all, if you as the reader already know where the traps are, then you can't really be surprised when the surfacers encounter them. 2) How the world works (and how not) is an integral part of the story, so it will be explained I'm a world-builder first and the Sphere is NOT a regular world (as hinted in the synopsis above). Things will work differently than in your 08/15 default dungeon core stories - as the General and Gunny have already learned in the second arc (and more of that is already scheduled for the next weeks (July/Aug 2019) when the Sky Arrows continue to explore and evaluate that strange dungeon) If you don't like these premises, then I'm sure you'll find a lot of other Dungeon Core stories more to your liking. But if you are interested in more than "Dungeon builds another room and corridor in medieval earth" and are not afraid of a longer and slower story, then go on. I have two more stories in the Sphere, although they both have lower priority than this one: Shaleen the Wanderer (Adventurer, NSFW) (currently on hold after some chapters) Info's on the Sphere (System Docu and Short Stories) (irregular updates when needed) Current Status reports have been moved to a new discord server: https://discord.gg/EaHkXCfm9y
