Dublin, Ireland
Thomas' POV
Ugh, I feel like a truck smashed into me while speeding down the M50. As I stood up I called out. "Status".

Looks like that potion did the trick. Wait 4 luck? When did that happen? I'm pretty sure I had 18. Did the system really take away 14 points of luck? Well I guess I haven't really been having a lucky streak.
*Rumble*
I guess I should go eat. Before I head down to eat I should look around while I'm up here.
As I gaze down the street looking at the blood, corpses and fire, I felt surprisingly calm as if this is what is meant to be. Previously I would have gotten sick or been horrified of this but now... now this is my goal. To make more than just this street look like this. I want the heavens to look like this.
As I begin my descent I picked up the drops that were surprisingly still there after passing out twice, nothing much just a few basic health pots and rusty weapons. I forgo the weapons as I have Ruyi Jingu Bang (RJB for short) and will probably never need a new weapon. What I need now is armor. I assume the Zombies won't drop, and all I've seen Goblins wearing is loincloths. Guess after food it'll be testing time.
I walked into my apartment where the corpse of my (former) roommate Connors undead body lay there with a smashed in skull. I walked around the body to get into the kitchen, pulled out some bread, butter and a packet of King (Brand of Irish Crisps/Chips). Nothing quite beats a King sandwich. Once I was done I went into my room and changed into a fresh set of clothes as my previous ones were torn to shreds after the battle with Lord Loss. Ease of movement should be priority so I put on a pair of tracksuit bottoms, a loose enough shirt and a thick hoodie. I put the rest of my clothes into my inventory after I went to get the long lasting food out of the kitchen.

With food and clothes sorted all I need is shelter. For some reason I felt the area wasn't the best to hunker down so I went on my merry way. One of the great features of RJB was it's compression. I could have it at the size of a USB stick in my pocket and when I need, BAM super size stick to whoop your ass. Either way I decided I'd head north, there should be more opportunities outside of Dublin rather than in at this point.
While walking I tried raising the skill level of Golden Fiery Eyes by inspecting everything I could see. I found that only new items gave XP to the skill, so no inspecting a car 10,000 times to raise skill levels. Even still as I was passing the destruction I still got the skill to Level 4. Since for Golden Fiery Eyes all I needed to do was look, while I did that I also trained with my blood magic. It was my first time using Magic(consciously) so it felt weird at first but as I got used to it my level of control rose, and the skill showed that as just from a 3 hour walk it was up to Level 5 nearly 6.
Just as I was trying to get it up to 6, I noticed a blur in the distance. As I squinted and used inspect the info came up.
Scorpion ApeA monster fusion. Formed from a Gorilla and an Emperor Scorpion.Level25Health1200/1400StatusBruisedHas lightning quick and poisonous strikes with it's tail with brute strength in it's arms.
"An uncommon monster huh." Although it is over 10 levels higher than me, with Golden Fiery Eyes I can tell in Strength it is equal to me, while it outpaces me with agility for the most part I can make up for that with RJB. I launched myself forward at the Ape. As it notices me it quickly strikes out with it's tail. Just quick I take out the mini-RJB to attack with.
As the tail and staff collide, it is clear that the staff won in the encounter as the Ape is knocked off balance. I quickly jab at the Apes throat with the staff.

The attack to it's throat clearly did more damage than the tail, so besides to block I avoid striking the tail.
It swung a right hook, which had a glowing black aura around it. I quickly used Golden Fiery Eyes on the aura.

Aura CondensementTypeActiveCondense your aura onto a part of your body. Requires an Aura ability.
*DING*
Discernment has activatedAura Condensation - 40%
Discernment works like that? I thought it would only work if I was practicing a skill. So If I focus on the skill I can learn it as long as I fulfill the requirements. As the fist was still coming at me I purposefully narrowly dodged so I could get a closer look at the aura.
80%
Nearly there. The ape getting cocky after thinking it could me with it's slow fists, swung again. Which caused the inevitable.
Learned New SkillAura Condensation
As Discernment is related to learning new skills and related to experience for already learned skills since I had been leveling up skills all day, it quickly reached level 4. The new skill acquisition caused it to directly jump to level 5.
As I had gotten what I wanted from the ape I quickly gave two quick jabs to it's neck.

As it collapsed it dropped some coins, a pelt and a bracer.

I immediately equipped the bracers and stored the pelt. And continued on my merry way. 20 minutes after killing the ape, I heard a scream in the distance. Deciding to ignore it, I continue walking. No less than a minute later, I see two women and a man running towards me with a Scorpion ape in tow. They screamed towards me.
"Help! Help us! Please!"
I smirked when I heard that.
I quickly dashed forward launching a aura reinforced strike towards the Apes head.
Fatal Hit
The apes head split like a melon under the reinforced strike.
Level Up
Sweet.
As I turned around the three people were there slack jawed. I quickly raised my staff and smashed their skulls in. What? What did I just do? I didn't want to kill them. So why did I? I mean sure it will help me unlock the next form of RJB but I could have just done that with corrupt humans, so why? Wait didn't [Demented King's Madness] mention something about doing weird things and plans? Shit! Shit! Shit! So now I don't even have control over my body! Fuck! Well now I have Innocent blood on my hands more won't make a difference right?
I licked my lips in anticipation.

The Hellish Incursion Part I: Demon Dogs Conspiracy
When one journey starts, there is always one with a different path. Lilac Rezmirn thought that she would lead a dull life while waiting for her brother, Hans Rezmirn, to return with the glory and fame for being one of the pioneers who discovered a new land. However, she did not expect her life to follow a different adventure. Her fate was set when she met a lupine stranger who didn't look and act like a typical Lycan. She soon found that this lupine stranger, who had limited knowledge of her language, was in fact a hellhound, a humanoid lupine dweller of the Underworld in the Hollow Earth. Meeting the hellhound proved to be the start of her adventure. She met companions along the way, and she slowly discovered that the hellhound she met was involved in something sinister, which would undoubtedly changed the Continent of Ternor forever. This is the story of Lilac Rezmirn, sister of Hans Rezmirn, and Ifrit Schelkz, the lupine hellhound from the Underworld. The Hellish Incursion is a spin-off story set in Ternor which started several weeks after Hans and his friends reached Main Continent. It is part of the same continuity with 'Light Bane', but can be enjoyed without referring to the other series other than knowing who Hans Rezmirn is.
