Chapter 5:

Settlement

Author's Note: I had to delete this chapter & revise it as I realized that some part of the story was getting out of original story line. But it is fixed now, so enjoy! I will be writing up multiple chapters before releasing them several at a time, so please bear with me!

Several days have passed since Vinci was initially teleported to the sphere known as Earth and absorbed all the knowledge known there. In those periods of time, the boy visited to the Government Building, where all matters regarding citizenship and legal information in the United World are processed, to register his alien existence. The process was quick and simple, since Vinci had disguised himself in the appearance of an adult using «Full Mimic», an ability that he had absorbed through «Kami’s Mind» which allows him to completely transform into anything he desires. Moreover, since it was not simply an illusion even with the high-leveled revelation magic that’s often performed in the Government Building to ensure credibility, one would not be able to see through Vinci’s disguise at all.

With the appearance of an adult, Vinci had registered himself as a divorced father, Chuck Noburo, of a single child, Vinci Noburo. Then, he also took the time to set up his living location and to confirm all other legal matters so that any governmental problems would be avoided in the future.

These required legal documents to accomplish, which only “real” inhabitants that were born on Earth would have. Although Vinci was not originally born on Earth, this issue was of no concern to him. With his skill «Real Imagine», he is able to replicate anything that he imagines provided that he is able to visualize it. That is why he would continuously ask the receptionist to provide examples of the documents needed. The skill was magic and detection proof, too.

The endless skills and abilities gained through «Kami’s Mind» were all indeed useful, after all.

Once all the miscellaneous legal items have been procured and confirmed, Vinci quickly moved on to the next step: to register his enroll in school. There were three reasons to do so.

First, many young adults called “teenagers” around Vinci’s age were all enrolled at the educational system called “school.” So, since Vinci appears to be merely a 15 years old child it would only be reasonable for him to follow the norm as such to fit in.

Second, there is only one school on Earth called “Arena Academy.” As to why, the reason is unclear. Some says it’s the government’s way to help “better manage everyone.” Some says it’s to erase rank discrimination by having everyone learn together early one. Regardless, because there is only one institution, there are portals spawn across the Clans in the United World continent. These teleporting doors allow students to travel to and fro the academy despite different clan locations. And as of now, Vinci is situated in The Rising Sun Clan where there are such portals available in various streets and cities.

Third and most importantly, it was because of the fame and power one can receive through the completion of this thing called school. The academy only receives application from those with high Soul Power, so not everyone can be accepted, only those with high potential are granted admission. And thus, the ones who are able to successfully graduate are regarded with high respect, with many of them reaching high ranks in SP.

Following the debut of magic and martial arts, all the traditional school systems around the world were abolished. In its place was the new system called “Class Division.”

With this new system, traditional terms such as “grades”, “college”, “high school”, “kindergarten”, etc, does not exist. All the traditional constitutions were condensed and termed from Class 1 to Class 8.

The classes corresponds to the ages set by the administrators. The legend below sums up the average ages of student found in each Class:

Class 1: Ages 4-5

Class 2: Ages 6-7

Class 3: Ages 8-9

Class 4: Ages 10-11

Class 5: Ages 12-13

Class 6: Ages 14-15

Class 7: Ages 16-17

Class 8: Ages 18+ (age limit is 22)

Other than the new school system and the advanced information gleaned from previous years of advancement, education was quite similar to that of a few hundred years ago.

And so, Vinci had applied for the only school available in the United World and, after passing an additional written test which was filled with intricate questions that were rendered useless by his abnormal mental memory, he got accepted in with relative ease.

Inside the comfort of his new home, Vinci was preparing for his first day of school tomorrow. Today he had received a package in the mail containing the School uniform and other various school supplies.

“Notebooks...check!...pencils...check!...uniform....check!...roster paper...check!...and my bookbag...check! Alright, I think I’m prepared.”

Vinci glanced through his checklist once more before finally revealing a big smile as he climbed onto his bed.

“I hope everything will be fine tomorrow….”

He muttered as his mind drifted off into the darkness.
