Chapter 37: Alone Time
=======================================
The next day was rather quiet. The group went through the lessons without talking to each other much. Then, during the free time after practice, Blake had approached Robin.
“Hey, do you mind if I spar with you?” she asked.
“Sure.”
The two of them went to one of the Practice Rooms. On one of a pedestals, they placed their status plates and pressed a button to indicate they were having a sparring match. In the case an instructor wasn't present, the machine would judge their HP and aura levels.
When it reached too low, a bell would sound to indicate the end of the match. Of course, this wasn't as safe without an instructor, so the danger level was set at a higher level than normal. The two of them grasped their weapons, poised and waiting as the holographic display counted down.

Begin!
Enhance
With the signal sounding, Blake and Robin dashed toward one another, their bodies clad in black and silver respectively. Blake held her sheath in a reverse grip with her left hand and her other blade in a normal grip with her right. Robin drew Pantomath and immediately split it into its dual sword form. A great-sword would just be too slow to deal with Blake's speed.
Robin alternated between swinging each sword. Some strikes were aimed at her head, others at her chest. Blake met his strikes. In order to make up the difference in power, she increased the speed she swung the swords. However, Robin also stepped up his speed.
Gradually he began to push her back. Just when it seemed like a strike would connect, Blake activated her semblance, Schrodinger. Combining with Red Dust, she created a Fire Clone that took her place. Upon contact, the clone exploded, the force sent Robin flying backwards instead.

The explosion should have hurt Robin more, but his training along with his natural abundance of aura allowed him to use more aura in Enhance as well as use Bloodlust for extended periods of time. However, Blake wasn't finished. Through the smoke, her body dashed forward to press the attack.
Shadow Barrage
This skill was a variant of Shadow Rush, but instead of going in a line, she concentrates on one particular enemy. She uses her speed to circle and attack Robin in multiple directions. In addition, the clones themselves could be influenced by Dust. This allowed Blake to create not only Fire, but Ice and Earth clones as well. They impeded Robin's movements and allowed her to continuously strike him.

Robin switched from using his dual swords to the double pointed spear. He twirled Pantomath clad in fire to disturb Blake's movement and force her to back off. In the process, his sword hit one of her Ice Clones. Blake who backed away at the moment of contact began to move forward to strike Robin, but he had pushed a button on Pantomath. The barrel that pointed at Blake fired and chunked some of her HP as well.
-254
Pressing another button, the other end of Pantomath. Robin used the recoil to propel the weapon through the lingering clone and straight at Blake. Blake, who noticed the movement, dodged left. Robin didn't even bother grabbing Pantomath. Instead, he pumped more aura into his body as he approached her.

Acupuncture
Blake swung her sword but her arm was deflected with Robin's elbow. He followed up with a jab to her face.

She moved her other arm in retaliation, but was rejected in a similar fashion. Robin's knuckle jabbed a spot on Blake's side.

The aura that flowed to her legs stopped. She still could move them but without aura, she was unable to escape. In an attempt to escape, she used Yellow Dust to create a Lightning Clone and jumped backwards. However, Robin was one step ahead.
Aura Limbs
With practice and experimentation, Robin became able to create an extra set of limbs on his own body. The range of the limbs was small so he had to be extremely close to use it – just like they were now. The extra arms grabbed Blake who tried to dash away and pulled her close to him. Robin delivered a low kick and they fell together with Robin's fist on her stomach.
“Gah.”
-254
Robin pressed two more spots on Blake's legs to prevent any further movement for 60 seconds. He grabbed both of her hands and pinned it above her head. The two stared into each other's eyes while breathing heavily. A window popped up between them as an alarm sounded.
Match over!
Winner: Robin S. Wolfheart
“Ha..Ha...What.. was that skill?” Blake asked.
“Ha..That was Aura Limbs. A variant of Aura Sword. I learned it recently.” he replied.
“Hehe. You're so strong, Robin. I don't think I could ever win.”
“No. You were pretty close this time.”
The two laughed softly. Blake's body glistened with sweat. Despite her training, Blake's body was not buff and had a soft and slender build. On her chest were two beautiful mounds that went up and down as she breathed. Although Robin wasn't a sex deviant, he was still a healthy boy going through puberty. His eyes couldn't help wandering the figure in front of him. His eyes traced Blake's soft white skin and curves before returning to her hazel eyes.
“..Pervert.”
Robin's face blushed, but when he looked, he noticed that Blake was blushing just as hard. Their eyes locked and their lips moved closer. Just as they were about to connect, the door swung open with the sound of a girl faunus speaking.
“Hey Blake are you here? We need to get readyyyyy....”
Currently, the two of them were lying on the floor. With Robin holding Blake's hand above her head and his own legs in between hers, it resembled a scene where a boy was forcing himself on a girl.
““....””
“...I'm sorry. It seems I was interrupting.” She said while using her hand to cover her smile. She began to slowly back away.
“No wait, Ophelia. It's not like that.” Blake said in a hurry. She tried to stand but just fell down with her hips pointing upwards, giving Robin a glorious view.
“Oh my, she already lost feeling in her legs. I can't possibly stop you guys at this point.”
With that last comment, she closed the door. Robin and Blake looking at her with a dumbfounded expression. After a few seconds of awkward silence, Robin jabbed Blake's pressure points to give her control of her legs again. Embarrassed, Blake just dashed toward the locker room to shower and change. In the process, she was drinking an elixir pulled out of her inventory. Robin sat there like a fool for some time.

= What did I just do? Did I seriously almost become a rapist? Arrg!! Stupid hormones! =
Robin banged his head on the ground. He took no damage from hitting the soft mat.
= ...But Blake didn't seem to mind me approaching like that at all. Does she have a thing for me? =
Robin shook his head while taking his status plate from the pedestal. He went to his backpack to get his change of clothes.
= I shouldn't judge based on my hormone-influenced daydreams. She couldn't move because I pinned her down. She had no choice. Yeah, that's it.. hm? =
Poking out of Blake's backpack was a book he never seen before. The title was “Ninjas of Love”. Curious, Robin picked it up; he flipped it open and began reading a random page.
------------------------------------------------
Out of the darkness, his hands pinned me down. I simply couldn't move against his abnormal strength.
“Gayruto. What are you doing?”
“Can't you tell?” the shadow replied.
“But we can't. Our clans are at war. We can't do this.”
“Screw the clan.” the man spat. “We are in love, Hinata. Why does that matter?”
Before the woman could argue, the man took off his mask and pressed his lips to hers. Their moans and hot breathing began to fill the room.
------------------------------------------------
= Whoa. =
Robin leaned back in surprise.
= Isn't this an erotic novel? Why does Blake have this? Unless.. =
At that moment, a blur appeared before him and snatched the book right out of his hands. Upon examining closer, the blur turned out to be Blake. She looked him right in the eyes and leaned forward.
“Did you read it?”
“Nope.” Robin shook his head furiously to further deny the act.
Blake pointed her index finger at his face.
“Good. You saw nothing and that's the truth. Nobody will know because you never even knew this even existed, right?”
Robin nodded and stared back into her eyes –or rather, he had to stare into her eyes for fear of staring at something else. Blake had run back out naked and covered by only a towel. Her black hair was damp which indicated she had stepped into the shower. As if to mock them further, Conner and Adam opened the door.
“Yo, Robin. Ophelia says to get to the cafeteria when you're done. We need to....”
The four of them looked at each other in silence.
“Sorry to disturb you.” Conner said. His eyes held a pitiful look on his face. Adam, on the other hand, was not so tactful.
“I can't believe this! He's gonna get it before I do!”
“Yeah, yeah.” Conner pushed him out and closed the door.
“Meet us in the cafeteria when you guys are done doing...you know.”
---------------------------------------
Currently, the entirety of Team COBRA with Osagi and Amy were sitting at the table inside the cafeteria. Robin and Blake sat on opposite ends of the table. Both of them held their faces in their hands.
“Aw no need to be so embarrassed about it.” Amy teased.
“Yeah,” Ophelia chimed in. “You became a grown woman just now.”
“I didn't do anything of the sort!” Blake exclaimed.
“Hey.” Conner whispered.
“So how did it feel to..you know.” He made gesture of poking his finger through a ring.
“I didn't do anything like that!” Robin retorted.
After a couple more minutes of teasing, the group finished and brought the conversation to a close. Blake and Robin had their faces completely flushed as a result.
“Ok, ok. That's enough.” Ophelia said. “As much as I love to get another 10 points in Sadism..”
= You did this for the stats?! =
“..we should be serious right now. So Robin, the reason we gathered here is because we wanted to split up for a bit.”
“Split up? What do you mean?” Robin questioned.
“Well, we've done a lot of missions together as Team COBRA, as well as separate missions these past 8 months. With the thing that's happening at the White Fang, we kinda just thought this was another good time to separate and think things out a bit alone you know?”
This was true. The group stuck together like glue, but sometimes they just needed alone time. Robin and the other boys nodded in agreement. Osagi wasn't a part of White Fang, but they had become rather close in the time they spent there.
“Alright.” Robin agreed. “Well then I guess we're on our own for a bit.”
The group nodded and re-initiated the teasing from before. The night was quiet, but Robin's dreams were filled with Blake's mounds. The torture of his adolescent mind kept him awake for a good two hours. The next day, Robin visited the Hunter's Guild. As he approached the counter, Thomas greeted him.
“Morning to you Robin.”
“Yawn..morning Thomas.”
“Didn't get enough sleep?”
“No. Not at all. So I need to find a job, preferably high-paying please.”
“What's your level?” Thomas asked.
“I'm level 61 right now.”
“B-ranked missions huh? I would stick with C-ranked for now, but lets see..Hm. Oh! You ok with being a bodyguard? This wealthy person is requesting protection for 3 days. Reward is 5,000 per day.”
“5,000?! Are you sure it's B-ranked?”
“Nope, C-ranked actually. They don't mind low 60's either. Faunus or human is ok with them. You up for it?”
“Sure! Sign me up.”
Final update for the night. Rate, comment, enjoy! Thanks for reading!
Edit: How was the fight scene? I hope it wasn't lacking in the intensity that you guys liked in the earlier ones.

Too bad life rarely goes as expected. --- Please Note: This is forum quest/RPG I run in the same city/setting as my other stories Hacking Reality and Get Ink'd, meaning that while a majority of the plot is made up by me, the major choices as well as what each chapter is about are usually made by the actual readers in forum votes. Additionally, given how this is essentially a story version of a Tabletop game there is also a background RPG system that while the characters aren't necessarily aware of, the readers can see these stats to know how each chosen 'Action' effects their character's development.
