Chapter 5: Lets not be a Genius
===============================
*beep *beep
A table appeared in the corner of his vision. It read:
Robin S. Wolfheart (Lvl 1)Health:50/50Aura:150/150
= Wow, my aura is three times my health. Is that normal? =
“Alright here's your test... !...” receiving his test, Robin found that he scored a perfect 100 as expected. The teachers had made a general test containing simple questions that would have been difficult for the uneducated children. Normally, a test wouldn't be given on the first day.
However, since many parents tend to teach some basics to their offspring, a test would be used to gauge their knowledge. Regardless of how smart some students may be, they would have never guessed that a 4 year old could understand algebra. Thus, a perfect score had appeared on a test that was meant to be impossible to ace.
Robin picked up his backpack and left towards the next building. As he entered, he found himself in a hallway. There were classrooms on both sides of the hallway, and further down a bathroom could be seen. On one side of the hallway, a bunch of students were gathered. Walking towards the crowd, he found that there was a piece of paper designating classrooms.
= Lets see.. I'm in room 1A. =
After finding his classroom, Robin found himself with kids slightly older than his age group, and sitting in the second row was a familiar face.
“Hey there Blake. Looks like we in the same class huh?” Sitting down in the desk next to her, Robin greeted the cat faunus girl.
“Hello Robin. It looks like it. I wonder what we'll learn today. I'm a bit nervous.” Blake was fidgeting in her seat while her looks were filled with the thirst for knowledge
“Oh come on now Robin. Aren't you gonna greet me? I know you two are bookworms, but at least greet people you know.” Sitting in front of Blake was a brown haired girl. She was currently crossing her arms and pouting at Robin.
“My bad Ophelia. I didn't mean anything bad by that, so you can stop pouting now.”

Ophelia Zittori
She was a snake faunus. She wore her smooth brown hair in a ponytail, revealing several light brown scales on her neck. She had two small fangs, wore a tan shirt and blue jeans. Similar scales could be seen on her arms. As a close friend of Blake, Robin had met her from time to time as they left the library together. Just like Blake, she was a lot brighter than most of the kids their age, and had a relaxing presence whenever they spoke with each other. Apparently her parents worked as doctors in the village. Go figure.
Looking away, her pouting lips turned upwards. Then it disappeared and a smile appeared instead.
“Okay I forgive you. So what did you score on the test?”
“100. What about you two?”
Both their jaws dropped.
“I knew you were smart Robin, but really? A perfect score? How?”
“...is it really that surprising?”
Blake nodded.
“The test is made so people aren't supposed to ace it. I bet most of the other students didn't even get past the 50 mark.”
= Damn. Did I just do something really bad? It was so easy that I didn't really think about it, but hearing this now means I just drew unnecessary attention to myself. Hmm.. some attention is unavoidable since I'm way smarter than my age group, but I should put a limit to how much knowledge I actually show. =
“So what did you guys get?” Robin reiterated the question he asked earlier.
“I got a 87.” Blake said.
“Unbelievable. you guys are too smart. 65 for me.”
“I got a 60! Am I a genius or what?”
Jumping into the seat behind Robin, a wild Conner Dinkleberg appeared.
“Conner a genius would be someone like Robin here. You would be at the level where people refer at you as knowledgeable, though I seriously doubt it.” Ophelia looked at him with a wry smile. Unfazed by the insult, Conner continued.
“Hey now, I think I'm very knowledgeable. After all, I have pulled countless pranks on nearly everyone in the village. It takes serious skill to do that and not get caught.” A proud smile plastered on his face as his tail wagged happily from side to side.

“Oh is that so? Then how about I be the first to administer justice to your sorry behind?”
A red-haired kid appeared behind Conner. Two thin, brown horns could be seen on the top of his head. Unlike most horns that jutted forward, his pointed backwards. He was glaring with his red eyes at the back of Conner's head. Conner shivered and turned around.
“He-Hey there! I don't know what you're talking about. I totally didn't push you down into the river while you were cleaning your face. Definitely not.”
= Ah so he's the other victim from this morning. Poor Conner. The kid looks like he'll murder him. =
Just when it looked like a beating would occur. Blake spoke up.
“Good morning Adam. Are you in our class too?”
Just like that, his face calmed down and the boy named Adam looked up towards Blake.
“Yes, morning Blake. You too Ophelia. It seems like I've also scored pretty high on the test.”
“Really? What was your score?” Ophelia questioned.
With a look of pride, Adam shoved out his chest and announced, “90. And you guys?”
“87”
“65”
“60”
“I wasn't asking you, Dinkleberg.” A look shut Conner up. However a mocking smile appeared when he heard Conner's score. Then his eyes shifted to Robin.
“And this is...?”
“This is Robin Wolfheart,” Blake explained. “Robin, this is Adam Taurus. He's a friend of mine. He's a bull faunus, but you can guess from his name and appearance.”
“Hello Adam, my name is Robin.” Nodding at Robin, Adam questioned him, “And what was your score?”
“Perfect 100. I aced it.”
His jaw dropped.
= How many jaws am I gonna see drop today? I definitely need to be careful about my knowledge from now on. =
A hint of jealousy could be seen in Adam's eye.
“No way. You obviously cheated to get that score. Don't you have any shame?”
“Excuse me?!”
Robin stood up glaring at Adam with his yellow eyes. Robin was already tired of playing the fool in his past life. Thanks to his experience with others, he became observant in people's behaviors. Those he found to hold no animosity, he treated with respect. This was why he was able to trust Blake and Ophelia despite them being girls. This was also why he didn't openly reject Conner like Adam had done. He had judged that Conner was just trying to converse with them and meant no harm.
However, it was another story with Adam. He looked down on Conner and openly accused Robin of cheating in front of his face. This quickly rose his ire and a strange thing occurred. Robin suddenly was able to sense the presence of all the students inside and outside the classroom. He was also able to judge their heartbeats. At that moment, Ophelia stood up and got between the two.
“Stop stop stop! Adam! That was incredibly rude to accuse Robin like that! You should know that something like that is impossible since the teachers write it the day before the test and don't even keep an answer key. Apologize!”
Thanks to Ophelia's intrusion, both kids calmed down.
“...You're right. That was rude of me. I'm sorry.”
“No I almost got into a fight with you over something like a test. I should have known a perfect score is suspicious.”
A satisfied look appeared on Ophelia's face and Blake looked relieved that her two friends didn't start a fight.
“Good. Now, I wanted to ask something since we're all here.”
Everyone looked at her.
“What are your stats?”
Hey there! I'm back with a double update! Maybe even triple if I feel like it. I hate decimals so I'm gonna try to keep all damage and stuff whole numbers. Team COBRA is official! As always tell me what you guys think. I didn't get to check for grammar mistakes yet so I'll go back and correct them later. At first I was gonna make it Team CBRA (cobra) but I felts Blake needed a girl friend since too many men. What do you guys think? I think I could easily run with 5 people. After all, too many people >> mistakes in combat >> fighting >> character development.

HUD: Wargame (Sci-Fi GameLit)
★★★★★UNFRIGGENBELIEVABLE!!!!!! "HUD: Wargame is a sci-fi GameLit worth reading." -TienSwitch ★★★★★Rock-solid FPS GameLit. "Nic - the main character - is an ambitious, hyper-competitive perfectionist, and the story fortunately handles him correctly in that it does not push these traits too far." -Akaso ★★★★★This is a good one! "This is one of those stories where you read the first few paragraphs and can just tell that the author has the chops to tell a story. It's engaging and the rules are well thought out and clearly explained. The action is punchy and exciting. Anyway, read it." -HonourRae In the future, everything is a game. Even war. 18-year-old Nic Sigfried wants the high score. Virtually piloting a real-life robot, he'll face off against his peers with the help of his AI guidance system, RTIFIS. The prize? New worlds across the galaxy that are ripe for human conquest and terraforming. It sounds glamorous on paper, but this job might be more dangerous than he thought...
