《Project G00》Act.01 - Chapter 10: Creating a different absorption device - Part 1/2

Part 1: Questions...
What’s a G00y if he doesn’t have a house? what more than a procrastinating, homeless, unemployed and uneducated puddle… But you know what? At least I have a heating mat! But being a NEET G00y is soooo…
Weebs! I’m ashamed of my experiences in this ‘new life’ if it can be called that way. I got disturbed by a plant, hugged by a fat and blobby thing, and the worst of all was that it felt warm… Yet, I am seriously not liking that feeling! Not that I could feel it well because I only have a substandard touch sensor… And thus, my lack of sensitivity became a lifesaver to something that I won’t address ever again. Yet it is real that I am homeless and gooey...
My rotating extension propelled my body towards the light in the central area of this humongous chamber that I already mapped. My direction was towards my cozy place dwelling in he form of a white mat. Now I have a better map and I can believe it is more complete. Maybe...
QUEST COMPLETED! Spoiler: Spoiler

Loading Rewards... Spoiler: Spoiler
It doesn't matter where we are, I am always with you!~
( ˘ω˘ )☞♡☜( ˘ω˘ )
Cute...
Seems the quest menu really does react to my thoughts…
The rewards are also interesting, yet I feel there is something missing as if I am starting to think better. Is it because of this newly added ‘experience’? Or is it because I am feeling weird at having my memories cleaned?
I believe I should stop my memories from such a process. Trusting a system just because it is a system or an AI is not right. But it is the only thing I have at the moment and thus I need it… And it probably needs me too.
Hm, I feel cold now…
Being a bit hypocritical with yourself serves to evade situations where you usually don’t know what to do or can’t accept instantaneously. And even if I have read a lot of otherworld stories, this situation is totally unexpected and outside a human's comfort zone. How could those humans that were transported to other worlds in those stories cope with all of this?
Maybe it's normal when you are a human, but when you are not even a vertebrate? What would you feel being something that is unknown to you, like me? Alone, without limbs, without being able to sense and without a clear understanding of the current body… Like, not even having the slightest idea of where, why or what you are… Well, at least I am not totally alone…
A18, what are you?
I am an AI in project G00.
No, A18, like why are you part of the project?
My puddle, the question is BH%&HSKA!#...
A18, what is your purpose?
Purpose… $%%DS… Project… =B%&=N$O…
A18, do you feel lonely?

Guess you are broken… Like me…
A18, Am I human?
#A$L%G: Unknown… Processing… H#U$M%8n?
Repairing failure…
Collecting information…
Human definition found in the user's database…
Compiling failed…
Answer to question: unknown…
Hm, did you have an I-cold? But... That’s actually some fast self-repair!
Regardless, a human is something that wishes to be understood by others. Like you trying to translate my language along with making your language available to me. Well, not that I expect you to think about it… I just wanted to talk…
Being alone is unproductive, at least those blobs have each other to pok-Ugh disgusting…Yet being alone really isn’t a motivational way of living, if you are human.
I knew my directed thoughts weren’t something totally comprehensible to the AI. It was just me trying to delve into my current predicament, organizing what I knew and what I didn’t.
How to survive? Why do you wish to live? To watch cat videos, to satiate your curiosity, or because you are optimistic and hopeful of an unknown future?
Maybe it is… Maybe I just want to take the gamble and see what the future would bring...
Will I know why these circumstances happened, or become 'human' again at some point? Probably not… But I don’t want to lose that ‘humanity’.
Part 2: Scanning the blob sample.
My escape from the blob-faction was easy as they seemed distracted by those glowing plants in the cave’s surroundings. And yes, I won’t vote ‘blob’ for president as it is obvious what his repetitive and overly prepared discourse would be.
Once I arrived at the division between the two types of foliage, no blobby Poke-poke could be witnessed. It was completely safe now that I didn't need to hide from them. They didn't seem to roam outside the glowy plant area and kept a distance near the cave.
I advanced over the known opaque foliage, rotating my flagellum slowly as I gracefully landed over the desolate clearing in the middle. It still shined with blinding white pixels whilst giving a cozy temperature. I really hated being incapable of perceiving colors, unable to smell or taste... Then again, seeing wasn’t a priority after learning a spiteful lesson that having visuals wasn’t the most relevant necessity.
If I wanted to see efficiently, each pixel with colored vision would need 1MM for each type of color. Meaning 5 Micro-machines for 1 pixel. A hundred pixels requiring a 10x10 grid will need 500 micromachines to be constructed, more than what I can spare at this moment. I can make use of a no-layering grid and mixed color-sensing micromachine solution, but the environment didn’t have enough light to filter it, and it would end up forcing me to lose part of the light in the process.
Brightness was extremely important in dark environments and a vision sensor should be made efficiently and sensible since the start. With the nanomachine starvation I have at this moment, black and white vision was the best I could pull off. Hey, I am still a cyclops, which renders elucidations of 'depth' tougher to accomplish. Yet I need to think of something more suitable with the current possessions I got. And sadly for my human self and desires, it isn’t a vision sensor upgrade.

With that in mind, I quickly go for a conversation with my companion.
A18, what did we gain from the 400 plus micromachines obtained in the cave?
My puddle, 234 MMs are operational from the project parts we retrieved. 137 were transformed into resources.
Was there an AI or some important part in it?
Answering my puddle, no 'AI' was found inside the fragmented remains. Fragmented remains have storage damage and need to be repaired for it to be retrieved.
Oh, now that's refreshing. What could this storage data contain?
A18, any clue about what the storage MMs that are damaged have inside?
Unknown.
Great...
Let's ask something else then.
A18, how many AIs are in the project?
The number of AIs in the current project is unknown.
Shouldn't there be an AI controlling the machines of that fragment?
Fragment parts can be controlled by a sub-AI type of process.
Hm, maybe like a dull type of programmed bot?
A18, how many AIs does project G00 have?
Project G00 &4#%7$HA1K V&/7%KL6
Seriously?! Can't you try to not get hiccups when almost telling me what I wish to know?... Hm, but it should be obvious that there is more than what the mind can expect. What are these crystals supposed to be? Okay me, we need to be alive to know, so first, we need to find ways to repair this body, that's the current priority...
Repairing...
The proceeding plan for attaining this was simple. Check out what the blob is made of and if it gives energy quickly, resolve this energy crisis, and get to know more about this body. The real trouble as of now is not lacking energy, but lacking balance. Similar to a person needing a warm environment and food. I have the warmth, but I lack ‘that additional energy from food resources.
I was just thinking about energy, but this body also needs specific yet unknown items for self-restoration. This isn’t a game I would like to play, and ‘mana’ or energy alone, can’t regenerate things from nothingness. However, what are the resources that this body needs? The answer remains unknown... Not detailed, question mark described, and undefined terms with broken answers. I tried asking more things to A18 after she self-repaired, without any additional result. It seems she gained some 'data' and could answer better, still, its not enough. So, in the end, I just have to continue with the plan.
A18, perform a scan on the new sample.
Performing scan…
Scan Results
Sample name:
002URS (Unknown Registered Sample # 2)
Composition:
67% unknown. 25% probably known. 8% known.
Effects
Unknown. Needs experimentation.
Threat Level
Low.
Description:
The composition appears to be organic, probability of being able to digest: Unknown without a digestive system.
Part 3: How to get energy/resources from the environment.
After the scan was done, the Poke-poke’s slimy fluid was stored inside the AI’s system, the reason for it was a plan to digest the damn thing. But then again, how can I start to digest it?
A18, what are the things needed to digest it?
Answering my puddle, the organic matter needs to be digested using chemicals or enzymes.
A18, can nanomachines work as chemicals?
Nanomachines can work as chemicals.
Then how about using the new nanomachines we got to create a way to digest it?
My puddle will need to create a barrier around the chemical or a storage system to prevent said ‘digesting nanomachines’ to be a threat to the host.
Wait those nanomachines can also digest the body?!
Damn! This is like using poison to kill but carrying the weapon that could kill you.
A18, can you create a structure that can carry said nanomachines?
My puddle, the isolation process can be helpful for such. However, it is recommended to make such a structure outside the system.
Hm, so you are saying I copy how the isolation system works and carry said nanomachines inside of it, yet outside of the system... Huh?
Well, as expected, no answer to such questions. It’s my subconscious which tells her this is a thought and I am not really asking her. Interesting...
A18, show me how the isolation process is made.
Yes, my puddle.
At this point, the AI showed me how the system membrane enveloped the liquid and created a small pocket ‘dimension’ inside. This pocket wasn’t in contact with the system nor the exterior. Yet its interior took inside part of the water surrounding the sample.
This works like an amoeba, a protozoan that envelops its prey like a slime. In fact, I 'believe' that the smiles in most games should be a copy of such a lifeform in real life. Not too sure, but it's probably the thing most representative of how they work. I am really making my puddle go into a slime pathway, huh?
I remembered amoeba using such phagocytic abilities to envelop their nutrients. But that was just the start. They had one pocket for the prey and one pocket containing a horde of devouring enzymes and chemicals. Since the pockets were made of the same ‘material’ and could somehow recognize each other, the two pockets ended with fusion. When fused, the spaces inside the two pockets became one, but they were still separated from the important things by fusing the pocket’s membranes. This was how it digested things with a double-edged poison without being destroyed by it.
