Ye Hao was walking the busy street of Wangcheng District in the Northern Province, his clothes were shabby he was covered with dirt as if he had not cleaned himself for a long time, No passerby looked his way thinking he was a beggar/hobo asking for money, with the little money they had so they always divert there gaze whenever they spot a beggar. It was all too common to have so many beggars, hereafter the war as too many have lost their home, their business had to be closed if they wanted to live and continue their dog life and so they fleed for their life away from the place that is all too dangerous for a mortal if anything adding a red shade to the mother earth.
On the flip side, Ye Hao was not a homeless person as people would expect contrary to what people think after seeing his shady appearance, he was actually a cultivator with 'not too great, not too trash talent but a below-average spiritual roots ' he was quite young despite his looks, he was a 20-year-old young man who embarked on the path to immortality after hearing the stories of the grand cultivator's talked upon by the villagers of how they started their journey of cultivation and shed their mortal life to embark on the path to immortality.
The young Ye Hao being too naive and too hot-headed had left his home to join a sect, to start cultivation, to start his journey of Greatness Just as his name suggests,
Ye = Too
Hao = Great
He had known all too well that his parent who owned a shop wanted him to inherit their mantle and become a shopkeeper as they get married and live and experience his whole life doing mundane things, so he run away from his home at age of 7 years old knowing all too well that sect doesn't accept new common disciple such as him if they were too old, he thought about how his parent will live they are old without him if he does not take care of them.

On the continent of Khaan, a peculiar boy escapes from his hidden village to find a land to call home. Suppressed ambitions are unveiled as a head-strong princess defies the emperor. New kingdoms expand as the old decay. This is a story of those who lived in the times of change. Dear Reader, Thank you for stopping by! This is my first attempt at writing something of more substantial length and would be incredibly grateful to receive feedback and advice. The plan is to post at least a chapter a week and more if I find time. Also, in order to not disappoint any expectations; the story plays in a fictional world reminiscent of the real world 17th to 19th century with some supernatural elements, but no obvious magic or game-like system.

Jake was a simple man. All he wanted was to live out the rest of his life on his family farm, a modest life, but one you could take pride in. Then Jake came into the kind of money family dynasties are founded on. Vacationing at his newly bought lake, Jake sits on his porch alone and watches as the world is ripped apart by some god-like being. This god-like being then decides that all descendants of the Gho Clan, still capable of cultivation, will be placed into a trial to test if they are worthy to return to the heavenly realm. Guess what, that inclueds Jake. Now, trapped alone in a cage made from a valley uprooted from Earth, Jake must learn to survive as everything is flooded with some energy he'd never seen nor imagined before; let's call it Qi. As everything changes, and the lines between fact and fiction blur, Jake will learn that his land, and by extension him, are far more important than anyone realizes. And the bastard who destroyed Earth? Well, he'll get what's coming, one way or another.
