Chapter 11 Overwhelming fury
John and Luna, followed the highway back towards Bullet town, it was the only place John knew about that might have a doctor. They eventually made it Bullet town without incident. The gate guards, saw these two monsters running at top speed down the road. They tried to lift their weapons in their fluster, however, John was already past them before they could get a clear shot. “Boss, Boss, two werewolves carrying two women, ran through the gate” One guard managed to bumble through his walkie-talkie. “What color? One black, the other blue” The guard answered. “Just let them go? Are you sure boss? Ok.” The guard reaffirmed what he was told.
John and Luna raced through the main square, when they got in sight of the local populace, just about everyone and their grandma raised their weapons, aiming at John. However, one guard at the side chimed in “Let them go, these are friends of Kyle” he shouted. John nodded to the guard, before racing of towards the mayor’s office.
John made it to the front door of the office, where Kyle stood waiting. “We need a doctor, right now!” John said, panicked. “follow me” Kyle kept his cool, despite the frightening size of John.
Kyle quickly led them to a building up the street a few yards. “Doc, we have to people that need urgent care” Kyle told the man behind the desk, inside the building. At this point, John and Luna had changed back to human and wolf form. Kyle took the other girl from Luna, and carried her. “Follow me” the doctor said, while taking a quick look at the two women. The four of them entered a barrack like building, with several beds lined up against the walls. Some of the beds were taken by people that have gotten hurt. The doctor led them to two empty ones.
“Quickly put them down” he commanded. John and Kyle, did as they were told and put down both the women, on beds next to each other. “How are they doc” Kyle asked, “let me have a look first will you?” the doctor sternly replied. Kyle simply grimaced.
After a while, the doctor was done looking. “Well, it looks good, the young girl only needs some saline and rest. The other one, not so much, she will need blood plasma. Luckily, I have some laying in the cooler, it should still be good” the doctor said with a sigh. Although electricity was hard to come by, the doctor was one of the only ones who had it, since alot of medicine needed to be stored cold. “Thank you doctor” John answered, a little teary eyed. “Come one John, the doc will take care of them, they are in good hands now” Kyle reaffirmed John. “Mm” John nodded.

John, Luna and Kyle were sitting in the mayor’s office. “So, what happened, exactly and are you a werewolf?” Kyle asked with interest. “Yeah, we are both werewolves. Concerning what happened earlier. When you said, the vampire was close to Wellspring, I got a bad feeling, I suddenly felt anger and hatred flowing through me. I feared something had happened to my sister. So, I rushed off towards Wellspring, fearing the worst. Luckily, I made it there in time. They were keeping a bunch of people captured, so I let them all loose and killed the rest” John answered.
“So, that’s what happened. We knew about them kidnapping people for wellspring. However, we couldn’t do anything about it. I am the only combat oriented evolved person in town. I believe you have meet Dave, he is also evolved, however, he can’t fight for shit. Any time I tried to go to Wellspring to help, the vampire would send hordes of those things at my Bullet town. I couldn’t just leave the people here. So, every time they go to capture more people from Wellspring they send out a horde of those things, to keep me busy. I fucking hate them” Kyle lamented.
“Wait, what do you mean by evolved?” John asked, with confusion written on his face. “Oh, that’s just what we have come to call those who have powers, like me, you, Dave, and that wolf of yours. Usually people who have obtained their powers by themselves are called pure evolved, and those who were gifted it are called un or non-pure evolved. I am guessing that wolf of yours is a non-pure evolved?” Kyle answered. “Yeah, she is, and her name is Luna” John answered a little annoyed. “anyway, what are you gonna do now?” Kyle asked. “Once my sister wakes up, I am gonna kill whoever is in charge. I killed two silver haired guys, but they were to weak to be the boss of this operation” John answered with fury in his eyes. Kyle was surprised when he heard this, John had killed two of the gangster enforcers? Kyle realized John was much stronger then he expected, seeing as he had no wounds from fighting.
Even though John wanted to head out right away, and find the boss, he restrained himself. He needed to know that Alice was ok. John and Kyle continued talking about different things. Sharing knowledge about their powers. Even though these two men had just meet a little while ago, they still trusted each other. Kyle told John about his power in more detail.
Each day Kyle had a certain amount of bullets he could shoot, that amount of bullets depended on how much metal he had eaten. Yes, eaten, he ate metal. Although he says eat, it was more like shoving pieces of metal into his chest, where it just disappeared. The amount of metal he consumed, dictated how many bullets he could shoot. However, he could also take out bullets from his chest and give them to other people. Although if he did that, he wouldn’t get those bullets back the next day, unless he ate more metal. This power was incredibly bizarre. He also didn’t get any weapons, he had to find them himself. Luckily, Kyle was a gun nut and owned a personal arsenal of weapons. Even the 37mm anti air cannon that came out of his shoulder was his own cannon. Even though he had bigger guns, he couldn’t make ammunition for them nor absorb them. John and Kyle continued talking until it got late.

Some other place not far from Bullet town, a man pulled into a horse shoe shaped complex of buildings. This was of course the same man who was hit by a door in the slave warehouse. He quickly rushed to the centermost building. Outside a big double door, sat a silver haired man, who looked very similar to the ones John had killed. “I need to talk to the boss, its urgent” he told the silver haired man. The silver haired man saw the mans bloodied face and felt this might really be urgent. He led the man inside. The room they entered was very lavish, beautiful curtains, red carpet, a fire place cracking and a gigantic painting of Georgy Zhukov, in full military clothes was on display.
Behind a large desk, sat a tall slender man, with blood red hair and a sharp face. all around him a bloody aura emanated, and gave everyone who saw him goose bumps. He sat there sipping on a wine glass filled with dark red liquid. The man, quickly takes of his cap and holds in front of his chest in an old timey fashion. “Pakhan Molotov” he said. Molotov stared at his glass, and slowly looked up at the man who was standing there meekly. “да, what is it?” he answered. “S-some one raided our warehouse and stole all the slaves, he even killed Alexi” the man stammered out. “What!” Molotov almost shouted as he slammed his fist in the table, making a sizable dent in it.
“Who did this?” he asked with anger clearly visible. “I don’t know, he threw the door at me, and knocked me out. When I got to, Alexi’s face was beaten to a mush and whoever killed him also ripped out his heart” he continued. “Shit. Mikhail has not reported back yet, I can only assume he is also dead, as they both were in Wellspring. We need to find out who did this. Call the Sovietnik and the Obshchak, tell them to come here immediately. We need to reinforce this position. Whoever raided Wellspring will surely come here soon enough, and set up some scouts on the highway, I want to know who comes and goes”. Could this be the union? It shouldn’t be, but I need to be open to the possibility. Molotov thought.
John and Kyle continued sharing information, until it got late. John left for the doctor’s office, and wanted to check up on Alice. However, she was still unconscious but the doctor assured John she should wake up soon. She just needed to get some energy back. John with Luna in tow, left for the same inn that he had slept at earlier.
After a restless sleep, he and Luna went to the doctor, although Alice hadn’t woken up yet, the doctor allowed John to stay by her side for now. John wanted to be there for her when she woke up. Which the doctor estimated to be soon. The other girl however, had already woken up, however she was to weak to leave the clinic just yet. So, she stayed in her bed, drinking water and nibbling at some cold potatoes.
John sat there for a good while, waiting, somewhat begging. Suddenly Alice started stirring. John held her hand, making sure she knew she was safe. She opened her eyes, which were filled with bewilderment and fear. However, she noticed she wasn’t in her dirty clothes and she was laying on soft and comfy bed. Then she saw John and started tearing up, crying softly. John comforted her, as best he could. After a brief moment, she understood that she had been rescued. However, suddenly she started getting hysterical “Where is Jonathan, my Jonathan, where is he!?” she started almost screaming.
John didn’t know what she was talking about, her husband’s name was Mark. “Where is he, my son!?” she screamed. Suddenly all the pieces fell in place. “Alice, shh, calm down” John said with notable sadness in his voice. “Did they take him?” John asked. Alice looked at John with crazy eyes filled with anger, sadness and heart wrenching grief. “Yes, they took him, my boy, Jonathan” she said in-between sobs and tears. John could feel that all too familiar fury, rising in his heart. They had taken his nephew, and done god knows what to him. John was so furious he could explode. “I promise I will get him back!” John said sternly, before leaving. He was going to make these bastards feel pain.

The Spark
Michael Locke was a normal student, who went through his normal day in a normal fashion, until the day became... unnatural. Shot into the country of Aldemar and thrust into a new world alongside his many classmates, he agrees to work for the king in exchange for shelter and to learn magic. Fate however, is indifferent to his wishes, as he quickly realizes that he may be a hero, but his purpose in this world is quite opposite. Suddenly surrounded on every side, Michael must work to survive, and if anyone finds his secret... He's as good as dead. The Spark is meant to be a murder mystery style isekai, focused on the existence of basically an anti-hero, with every one of the large amount of heroes attempting to discover who the traitor is. This isn't made to be a lovey dovey easy going isekai with an OP mc, it's made to stir around an emotional story, with many dark tones. Still, the goal is to stay fairly light hearted as well, and the perspective will pass around to several characters throughout the story.

// DUNGEON Mechanics will start to appear around chapter 100+/Arc 3 of the story! \ Avan, a 25-year-old young man, is torn from his rather boring life. He awakens in Aorus, a world full of magic, monsters and dungeons. By a stroke of luck and an ominous skill called "Potential", he awakens a new class never seen before called Dungeonheart (Human). Dungeons, although sentient, are never sapient nor mobile. Join Avan as he pursues his passion for healing and martial arts, and building his very own dungeon at the same time. He’s the hybrid of a moving dungeon and a healer. "Healing Dungeon" will include City building, strategy, very little romance, exploration of the world of Aorus, and a touch of power levelling. (There are elements from other fantasy novels, as well as anime, games, and more). What will all be possible with a dungeon that can move, but still brings some of the familiar dungeon mechanics along for its journey? -- Please note that the beginning and thus the first chapters were really my first writing works in english, and can only be rewritten at a later time (lack of time in favor for new chapters) --(The writing style and also the story improves VERY much from the 12th chapter at the latest! Proofreading is available, but I depend on any well-intentioned advice from you guys). If you have any questions, suggestions, constructive criticism, or just because you feel like it, feel free to leave me a comment below the respective chapters! For every positive and serious review or rating, I am infinitely grateful! ;) I am a creature of few words and the beginning is therefore a little faster than I would have liked it now in retrospect. Please do not expect huge paraphrases and descriptions of the environments, but only what is really necessary to get into the scene. Cheers and hopefully see you in the comment section.
