《Prophesy of the Elven King》Ch.20 Onward to Greater Things!

A decade passed after Grillo and myself had finished my Ax's. I had forgotten to mention that since Elorium cannot be forged there was normally impurities in the metal that could not be removed. I had removed them when I was shaping the axes without putting much thought into it at the time. Grillo revealed that this was a huge deal. Frequently Elorium was harder than Mithril but slightly weaker than Adamantium. Now with its impurities removed and "mana saturated" as we started calling it, Elorium was just barely stronger than adamantium. Shockingly as a result of its nature, only the small pieces of the metal were worth anything. Small pieces could be sewn or fitted into a scale type armor to protect against weapons made of the strongest metals. The big pieces were useless as they could not be used without reshaping which would make them weaker than an improved version of steel simply called "high steel." The big pieces couldn't even be used in castles as no one had invented concrete yet. This realization put a smile on my face because I could buy a massive supply cheaply and make anything from weapons to castles.
Grillo had suggested going into business with perfected Elorium as a new product. We could make a lot of money this way, but I wanted the new superweapons to stay an advantage for us. So I told Grillo that we should keep this a secret as it might attract more attention from our enemies who would want to steal it, but we could keep this new invention between our people. Grillo was about to disagree when I said: "Grillo imagine a giant rune armor made of this!" The dwarf had grinned ear to ear saying "looks like I'll have to tell my people to invest in large quantities of Elorium then." His opinion was even more solidified by me telling him about concrete and cement. The fact was that I knew how to create it and not just how but how to make the best ever invented.

The recipe for Roman concrete had been discovered shortly before I died. The recipe had been in articles everywhere and even in several variations for different purposes. Roman concrete was basically volcanic ash mixed with simple limestone. The two had to be heated together to about 900 degrees Celsius and then could be used to join rocks or other materials into a solid structure. Sand could be added to make it super heat resistant especially if volcanic sand which is basically pure silica sand is used.
Rather than have Grillo spend a huge sum of money on having volcanic ash delivered all the way here I suggested a small substitution. Since Grillo had arrived, we hadn't needed to use any of his coal supply to forge because I used my magic to power it and Elorium didn't even use the forge. So instead of Volcanic ash, we used fly ash in our first prototype. Fly ash is the ash that floats off of coal and not the ash that sinks. Grillo just installed a temporary filter on the top of the forge since Roman concrete only needed 900 degrees Celsius to bake the mixture. When done we added water and fused two large chunks of Elorium together. The two held together strongly enough a hammer couldn't smack them apart without some serious effort on Grillo's part. Now imagine it as a huge wall Weighing a hundred tons. The pressure from the weight would make a hammer useless.
Now that I was fourteen years old I could do just about anything I wanted on my own. I had become quite skilled with my ax's. I even gained a dual wielding skill from practicing with my dad on a daily basis. When I first started using them the system didn't start me at level one ax's wielding though. It turned out my last life's skill experience carried over. I just had to perform the action to gain the skill, and my ax-wielding started at level six and is now level eleven. My ax throwing, however, started at level one and the first time I used it I humiliated myself epically. The ax missed its target, bounced off a tree and hit someone's tent cutting through the main supporting pole. Emma was laughing her ass off as the guy ran over to me and gave me an earful. I now looked like a skinny teenager, but Emma looked like a smoking hot eighteen-year-old with green sparkle skin even though she was only around twelve. That's jailbait if I ever have seen it! I told myself.

During the past decade, I had experimented with my magic too. I had wondered what fire magic covered in life force was, and when tested it turned out to be a blessing of fire. Contrary to what I had initially thought any element could be a blessing even darkness. It must be intent and design when using darkness then, I thought. Grillo had only been able to acquire two magic books. One was a spirit summoning magic that could summon a ghost if I had something personal of theirs from when they were living. It also normally required another kind of magic to communicate with them as these ghosts would be new to their form and most would have never needed to speak to the living. I didn't need this as I had [soul speak]. I didn't have anyone dead's personal effects though so I left the spell alone for the time being.
The other spell book was an advanced fire spell the Dwarves used to heat forges when they were lucky enough to have a mage amongst them. Zotherg had been right, the spell took forever to activate and was less efficient. I still felt my spell receive a small boost from ambient mana because of my elemental attributes. Then I tried forming the spells pattern that looked similar to a wavy waffle shape with my elemental weaving and covered it in borrowed plant life force. The result was a spell pattern that was visible on the ground to me but no one else. I could feel ambient mana sustaining it when normally I think it would have faded over time. A prompt followed my discovery.
New magic learned [Spell Traps]
Current Traps: Reactive Fire Trap (Cost 7000 MP)
I focused on Reactive Fire Trap, and it explained that anything living that came into contact with it would spontaneously combust. Something small like a bug came into contact with it later that day. It must have been a bug or something because nobody saw what it was and with a burst of intense flame whatever it had been it wasn't anymore.

Most of it is already written, but I'm going through the chapters and editing the shit out of them. This story is NOT a Lit-RPG, so no blue screens or anything of the sort. It is just fast-paced fiction with slight cultivation elements. Updates are bi-daily (so every 2 days), and chapters are 1500-3000 words. As always, feedback is more than welcome. Why are you still reading the synopsis? You have already decided. Go ahead, give this story a shot. It's worth it.
