For several Days the beast roamed the outskirts of my village. It stuck to the shadows where we could not see it. The rest of the village was in blissful ignorance of its existence. I, however, was not and I had used [Soul Analyze] on it.

I had checked its traits, and they did basic passive functions. Razor claws increased its claws basic sharpness. Its other traits were better reflexes and a slight increase in speed. I was less worried than before as it's level was significantly less than my dad's, but I remain vigilant. I would have to do my best to make him present when the beast attacked me.
When I used [soul analyze] it had startled the demonic jaguar and delayed its approach further. After a few more days it became bold again, closing the distance. One morning, my mother carried me about the village as she had started doing recently. I could see the orange glow in its eyes from where it hid in the woods. It no longer hesitated and rushed into the village.
It killed an elf with a spear the guarded the outside of the village. He had been bored and distracted. The beast claws cut through him like paper. Blood sprayed seemingly everywhere as it darted to the next victim. An elf that carried a dagger to help collect herbs had been collecting bark nearby. The Jaguar sank its fangs into his flesh but not before he managed to stab it with his blade. The injury, however, was not a mortal one for the demonic monster. The dagger had barely even pierced its flesh. There was more to a creature than what was listed in its stats and traits. It turned its gaze to my mother and me.

My father had already appeared before us with a short sword in each hand. He sized up the beast and took a stance with his swords. The fight that followed was too fast for my eyes to follow. My father struck the creature several times, but the wounds were not deep. They were almost scratches compared to how much damage it did with its claws to its helpless victims. My dad was fast enough not to be hit by the beast, but his weapons could not fully pierce its hide.
The fight seemed to be a perfect standstill, but the smart cat had waited for my father to circle it. The moment there was a path its bolted towards my mother and me. My dad closed the gap to block the beast. This was a trap, and my father was flung by a powerful paw strike from the Jaguar. It didn't even use its claws at all to increase the bouncing effect from the blow. It wasn't a skill or traits it used but a technique. One I had seen a house cat use to beat down its prey. The paw strike resembles the rolling of a wave and generates a shocking amount of power. Think of the Kill Bill Movies collapsing hand strike on the wooden board the female protagonist used. It's basically the same concept and creates a lot of force in a small space quickly.
My dad was thrown out of the way, and the beast resumed its hunt. As the beast appeared before me, my mother turned to shield me with her body. I watched as the monster's claws approached her fair skin. Everything began to slow down as I panicked. My mind and soul racing to find a solution to the problem. I could not lose her! I would not lose her! In my desperation, I did the only thing I could think of. I used my souls rings to press and stitch my mana to the only element I was in contact with, the air!

I could tell the process was sloppy and inefficient, but at that moment I did not care. I forced the beast to the ground with a hand that was made of wind as I subconsciously [soul spoke] "No" to everyone and everything around. No one could tell the hand of wind or the shout had come from me, but my dad wasted no time. He appeared before the beast whose head was pinned to the ground and stabbed into its brain through the eyes with his swords.
I had just enough time before I passed out from my mana hitting zero to see my father thank the elementals as only they could have used such magic. I only caught a glimpse of the prompts that popped up in my vision.
Title gained "True Elemental."
You are the first creature to be able to use elemental magic. The being all elementals hoped to create.
+10 efficiency and power of all elemental weavings, castings, or spells. + 10 to all skills or traits involving nature.
Elemental Weaving learned!
You can cast all elements that the user is in contact with at the time of casting. Warning! Elves cannot use dark magic as they are beings of light. Light and darkness react violently with each other and cannot coexist.
Skill created [Soul Accelerate]
By Sheer willpower, you forced your soul to process thoughts faster. [Soul Accelerate] imitates this by using mana to allow the soul to process more quickly.

Domain of Man
Isolation is terrible. To feel isolated with your fellow man around you is worse. What if you were dumped in some backwards cave somewhere, completely nude, maybe with your family, or even completely alone? The age of pioneers, heroes, generals, and geniuses is long gone. Humankind has become numb to the world around it because of how paltry everything else is compared to the glory of its history, the sheer volume of their accomplishments, and the sum of its innovations. You can interact with people across the world, travel miles in mere hours, and never prepare your own food or shelter, and it's all accessible to even the normalest of individuals. Artificial intelligence is within arms reach in devices and computers and even houses, and neural interfaces aren't exclusive to the rich and powerful at this point. Someone far in the distance took notice of Earth, saw the multitude of hairless apes swarming its surface. That one went down the checklist to see if humanity had, in fact, beaten the 'game' of Life. Sure enough, they had gone above and beyond the requirements, but nobody had been watching. 'Why might that be?', that one wondered. Protocol was protocol, though, no matter how strange the situation was. They pulled the lever, they flipped the switch. It's time for New Game +. ??? Don't be afraid to leave critique or share your support! I really appreciate any feedback you can give. In any case, I sincerely hope you enjoy the story! It's going to be a wild ride. The Forgotten One
Hey there everbody. This will be my second upload to Roll 20. Unfortunately I wasn't able to continue my previous one due to life and what not but I'm now back and have a some what new idea I've been kicking around for years. We'll see if i head back to my other fiction due to having things calming down. And like always I'm open to constructive critisims. Any way on to the synopsis. The world as we know it is gone. Torn from everyone due to two major things. First and foremost a biologica lweapon that no one wanted to take credit for after it was released and couldn't be stopped (a zombie virus of sorts) and the way that many nations thought to stop it from spreading was to destory everything they could ofcourse that didn't include them selves. So there the world was in a mexican standoff with hundreds of countries with hundreds of nuclear weapons just dareing one another to make the first move. Once again no one knew who started it but it didn't matter once it started the world was doomed. In an attempt to save people some scientists began working on a way to cryogenically frezze people so they could surive the on coming armegedon. The problem was before they could begin testing it on humnas the nukes began launching. In a bid to save them selves a family gave their youngest son to the scientists as a test subject. He had already been infected by the virus weeks before the nukes were being threatened and still retained his humanitiy. After being betrayed by his family after telling them of his ability to stay him self and a few things the bio weapon had changed in him physically he was sedated with enough drugs to kill a whole pride of elephants and forced to take part in the experiment. The last thing he remembers was watching his world close around him (his cryo pod) and his family's face of sadness but also hope in the fact that them betraying him may give them a chance to live. This is a fan fiction in which many aspects of one of my favorite games will be quiet prevelent. It will be obvious to those who have played it but for those who may not the game i'm going to be baseing some of the things in this novel is called Prototype. And no I do not own the rights to the cover. If the creater would like for me to pull it down please messege me.

Understanding a cultivation world
A modern man armed with having read a few novels about cultivation is suddenly transmigrated to a cultivation world. He fights to both survive and thrive in this new archaic world full of arrogant young masters, demonic sects, and incredibly hostile wildlife. Note: In this story, I wanted to focus a lot more on what most novels skim past in regards to cultivation, namely the whole, spiritual growth aspect that seems to be entirely absent from the prosses of obtaining enlightenment the majority of the time, but the method of gaining cultivation. how it works, and what kind of world would develop around it are all things I wish to explore in this novel.
