《Prophesy of the Elven King》Ch. 3 Chosen

I began reading my traits one after the other. First read all the ones starting with Elven. Elven swiftness had just been a ten times Agl modifier. Elven longevity however made my small jaw drop.
Elven Longevity
Elves are born nearly Immortal being part magic spirit and live several millennia naturally. Nature itself provides vitality to Elves.
You receive a lifespan bonus of 10% when living around plant life.
Ten percent was nothing to sneeze at! The other Elven traits were more straightforward than Elven Longevity; Elven spirit gave a +1 to int and wis per level and a 10% efficiency bonus in the wind, earth, and light magic. Elven talent was a 10% faster learning bonus. I had a feeling that these racial bonuses were probably some of the best any race had. Elves were once known for their arrogance, and one of them extended my already ridiculous lifespan. I finished reading the elf series as I had nicknamed them. Double checking for any missed bonuses or interpretations. Then I read the next one.
Soul Memory
Your mind and memories are written on your soul and can never be forgotten. Mental effects can affect/cause damage to your brain but not your consciousness. 100% resistance to spirit control skills and 25% resistance to physical mind control. +15 Int and Wisdom. +15% increase in int and wis per level.
It was an exciting revelation. I already knew I had changed my soul into something more but to see it in writing was something else. It explained a lot of my stats and comparing it to my other traits made it appear quite broken. Finished reading soul memory, I turned my attention to the simultaneous thinking trait.
Simultaneous Thinking
Both your soul and brain can think in perfect synergy. Can think about different things simultaneously. Can focus all thought on one subject for faster learning. Focusing currently results in 3x learning speed.

I tried to whistle after reading that one, but my baby mouth spit drool everywhere instead. How could I not be impressed by a 3x learning speed? I had the brain of a baby that can absorb knowledge like a sponge. It also looked like it would overlap with my Elven talents 10% faster learning bonus. I hoped there was lots of useful stuff to learn, but I had some doubts. My home appeared to be several large teepee-like huts that had been interconnected. My parents had one bed stuffed with leaves and a beat up whicker desk that had an old book on it. That was all they had other than some clothes and blankets. I sighed and turned my attention back to reading my traits once again.
Soul Vortex
The form of your soul naturally draws in mana and vitality. Mana will restore 25% faster after level 1.
+7 Wis +13 Int +10% Vitality/Lifespan bonus.
Again? , I asked myself. How could I have another lifespan bonus? What would I do with all that Time? There no television or video games here. I couldn't even keep a girlfriend for more than a few years on earth much less a wife for thousands. I took a few minutes to calm down. I would have to deal with the future as it comes.
Perhaps I could use some of that time to master magic?, I thought. I reread the prompt and noticed the 25% mana regen bonus after level 1. Why after level one? I asked myself. I shrugged the unanswered question off. It wasn't like it mattered yet anyway. I didn't even know magic yet. There may not be anyone to teach me in my village anyway.
Last but not least I brought my attention to the chosen trait. This one I was dreading from reading too many books where the protagonist gets a chosen title and his whole life is thrown into chaos. To my relief, it was not what I was expecting.

Chosen
Elves are descended from elementals given true life. Elves are part elemental and as such have always been close to their distant cousins. Before Your birth, the elementals knew you. They have declared you their chosen. As such all elemental contracted or not will aid you. All elementals contracted by enemies will not harm you.
Can use Skill [Soul Speak].
With a thought, I brought up skills menu and opened [Soul speak].
I felt an invisible wave spread out from me and another prompt appeared.
Available Elementals in range.

The Five Series - redemption
Book 1 - Redemption Three generations have passed since the last near-apocalyptic war. Civilization is beginning to thrive again at an ever increasing pace. The burden of society has been once again placed on the back of a massive robotic workforce, creating a huge divide between industrial glory, and those forced to live in its shadow. Many have stubbornly held onto the old ways of self-governance from back when the government fell, but with its return, life in Welan City is changing. Aaron, a middle-aged man, who is stuck in the rut of daily life, witnesses a murder and finds himself in trouble, love, and the middle of a highly secretive robotics project. Aaron stakes his life on helping a prototype survive, and pays for it dearly. Passionate hate, love, and indifference send life in Welan City spiraling out of control, leaving no one innocent in the end. The Five Series is, well, a series. I've completed 3 of the books so far and will finish with a fourth, maybe fifth book. Book 1 is heavy on the character development side while the following will be much more decision and consequence oriented. This story reaches into the soul of a person and the universe we live in. Some people deserve a second chance, and some do not. With that im mind, no one really ever gets what they deserve though, do they? Always tell the people you care about that you love them as often as you can, they could be gone tomorrow. Would that change if you could always bring them back? I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I did writing it. Cody

Shattered Realms - A Pathfinder/D&D game
Broke adventurers looking for a quick and easy paycheck are thrust together as circumstances around them get weirder and weirder. Authors note: This is an ongoing Pathfinder (DnD) game, which will inevitably contain references to other works due to the nature of nerds. Chapters will be random lengths, mostly as long as a game session and depending on how much I can embelish it. Also, some details may change retroactively to maintain consistency. I'm not going to write it as LitRPG, mostly because that's extra work. I'd rather the flow of the story not be interrupted by numbers. I am aiming for updates within a week or two of the game session, which will usually be weekly. Finally, there is a light swearing, gore and sexual references warning. I will update this warning if needed, but will also not write in anything that's too graphic or irrelevant to the story.
