It's been a while so I read through the whole story again to recap everything and make sure I remember the details. Then it occurred to me that you the readers would probably have forgotten parts of it too. So here it goes a very short recap about what has happened so far.

Clover has a an unhappy life and is constantly bullied because of his name (as he believes) or his attitude to life. He throws all his time into books and sources of information believing he can just rely on them. His parents die, he loses everything and wanders on the streets. He comes up with the plan for suicide. Jumps of the top of the roof and tries to kill himself.

There he meets this wondrous being called "Greg" (which at this point he doesn't know his name). Greg explains his bad circumstances as a massive mistake from the system. He gives Clover the chance to be reborn, Clover considers and makes up his mind and gets reborn as a baby to the new parents called Aster and Heather Aurora. He's named Clover Aurora now.

He starts growing up wanting to protect himself. Constantly asks his dad to become a swordsman. Finally relents on his 5th birthday and teaches him how to fight. After a while he gets good at fighting, feels confident he can protect himself. He's achieved a good level of proficiency in his father's chosen sword style Rock Style.

Father tries to ease his enthusiasm by talking to him about his time in the big fighting tournament in Franziland. Where he fought his way up but was tripped up by his own overconfidence and being beaten by someone of the Water Style which is his sword style's weakness.

Clover next morning gets rudely awaken by Blonde Beauty Lisa Rassi. Where he rushes outside and meets here sister Emilia Rassi, nicknamed "Emi". They fight and he gets put on his ass as his style is weak to Emi's practiced Water Style. Emi and Clover continue to train and fight together and get rather close as friends. Clover learns Water Style and later on Emi starts learning Rock Style.

On his 9th birthday Clover is tested for Magic and sadly he is unable to use magic. He gets upset and Emi cheers him up by taking him out a on trip in which he learns swimming and eases of the tension he had from not being able to learn magic. Throughout this time he visited by the God Greg and is warned not to put limitations on himself just because other's say those limitation exist.

After a couple years have past, he asks Emi to join him in Paolona where the qualifying tournament is at to continue to the big tournament in Franziland. She agrees and they set off on their journey. However it is raining and the original path is blocked. Emi, knowing her way around the forest due to hunting with her sister, suggests the forest as a possible other route to Paolona. They ride their horses slowly through the treacherously slippery path and Emi loses control of her horse and rolls down the hill. Clover immediately jumps of his horse and hurtles down the cliff to try and save her. He does and he gain the Heroic Stat.

They land in the Cave of Dark and Light (where they get bonus stats to all their usual stats from being the first to discover the cave) and through a series of riddles each getting harder and harder. With the last one a painful flashback/nightmare to Clover's past they proceed to the reward's room. There, both Emi and Clover receive a pair swords, Fire and Ice and Dark and Light respectively.

They then arrive to Paolona through a magic door and find out the penalty for losing their horses is most of their money. Tired and poor, they go to an inn to recoup but find a massive hubbub is there with a girl being harassed by a few burly men. While Clover is engrossed in the cool beauty, Emi goes over and protects the girl. They bring her over to their table and they learn her name is Rene Foxworth, nickname, "Foxy." Foxy offers them her room after hearing their plight and they soon after form a party. They fight monsters and Emi and Clover learn the meaning about their magic through a magic ring that transports them to the man Angil.

Angil teaches Clover and Emi about their magic and the consequences of it. After which they go to the magic world and Clover is a lizard human and Emi is a unicorn human. They learn more about their magic and then continue partying. After one tough fight against Spiders where Foxy gets caught up. And a rather unfortunate meeting for Clover with some bandits which causes him to be unknowingly badly injured. Foxy reveals that she can indeed use magic and heals Clover up. This gets them onto the topic of their pasts. Where Clover and Emi explain their past and then Foxy explains her rather unfortunate circumstances (Chapter 41 to 43).
