《*DISCONTINUED*》Chapter 5 : Core Disciple

Both condensed their Energy and started their fight. By now an elder came and was also enjoying the sight of a match.
"Ohoh, this new patch of outer sect disciples sure seem promising" This elder had a special status, he was one of the three grand elders of the sect and was at the peak of the Martial Path realm.
Flame Palm!
Liu Yan seemed to notice the elder and went all out, hoping to get noticed by this elder. One could instantly become a core disciple if taken in by a elder, this was also Liu Yan's motive.
Unfortunately his opponent was Feng Xing who was already at the 4th level of the passive skill . He dodged every single punch and kick thrown at him. He seemed to actually be rather enjoying this fight and testing his utter speed limits.
The grand elder seemed to notice this and became surprised.
"Ohoh, 4th level... already? Even core disciples wouldn't reach the 4th level this fast." The grand elder was actually joyful about it. Promising disciples were always appreciated.
Liu Yan on the other hand seemed to be struggling, he just couldn't land anything.
"Can you only dodge!? Fight me like a man!" Liu Yan seemed to be furious about this, a grand elder was watching after all.
"Sure!" Feng Xing replied. Now he was going to test his body's strength.
"Hehe, Fool" Liu Yan thought. He was obviously going to use his battle skill.
Flame Palm!
Feng Xing had no offensive battle skill ready so he casually threw a punch, but this punch contained immeasurable power! It was enough to hurt the current Liu Yan who was only at the beginning stages of the 6th rank of the Tempering Path.
Pats!
Blood splattered, it was obvious one of them had an injured arm. The crowd was now watching with shocked expressions.
The one who was bleeding was not Feng Xing, but actually Liu Yan!
"Wh..what! Did Feng Xing use a battle skill? It didn't seem like it.." The crowd were now talking about the casual punch Feng Xing threw earlier.
They were clearly shocked that Liu Yan's battle skill actually lost against a rather normal punch.
"Aah!" Liu Yan cried out in pain. His arm was basically almost crushed. He now looked to be in very bad conditions.
The grand elder now was watching with serious and deep eyes at Feng Xing, Feng Xing noticed this and looked at him back.
Both were now staring at each other...
"Alright, this matter ends now!" The grand elder yelled. Now everyone noticed the elder and they all bowed.
"Greetings! Grand elder." They all greeted in unison.
Feng Xing casually jumped down the podium and tried to sneak out.

"Wait! You will stay." The grand elder obviously noticed this, and wouldn't let Feng Xing go.
"Oh well... this might not necessarily be bad for me" Feng Xing didn't seem to care that much.
10 minutes later.
After all the disciples and Liu Yan left except for Feng Xing and the grand elder. The deep silence started. Both were now staring at each other.
"You... that body strength of your body clearly isn't normal. I only want to know one thing." The grand elder broke the silence, he was looking at Feng Xing with rather deep eyes. He wanted to see through this youth.
"Tell me, do you posses a special bloodline or... are you cultivating a body manual!" The grand elder released a bit of his True Energy, but this was already enough to pressure Feng Xing entirely.
People could also posses special bloodlines, for example one could posses the Dragon bloodline they naturally would posses a very powerful body at birth, and would be able to transform into a True Dragon later on. Bloodlines were mostly very rare and appeared seldom.
Feng Xing still stared into the grand elders eyes.
"What would you do if I said I did posses one of them?" Feng Xing asked. He seemed to still be very calm even under this pressure. This surprised the grand elder, normal disciples would by now either have passed out or be scared witless.
"You clearly don't seem normal, I wouldn't do anything about it, but i still want to know which one you do posses." The grand elder calmly answered while the pressure disappeared in thin air.
"I do posses a body cultivation manual" Feng Xing didn't care as he saw no enmity or greediness in this elders eyes.
"..." The grand elder didn't know what to say. Body cultivation manuals were so rare, in Cloud City there was sure to be not even one of them! He now suspected that Feng Xing was from a strong heritage.
Even the Three Major Sects of Cloud City couldn't insult them. Every powerhouse that contained a body cultivation manual was extraordinary...
What the elder didn't know was that the youth before his eyes was actually someone old enough to be his ancestor!
"You.. would you like to become my personal disciple?" The grand elder asked, with probing eyes.
Feng Xing was waiting for this moment, he actually knew that he would be noticed from the fight earlier.
"Sure." Feng Xing didn't seem to be to excited to become a personal disciple of a grand elder. He only needed the shelter of someone powerful for a bit of time after all.

The grand elder didn't seem pleased with Feng Xing's attitude, it was like Feng Xing was actually giving him the honor to become his master.
"Ahem, You may call me Master Shui now." The grand elders name was Ran Shui, second grand elder of the Moonfire Sect.
"Also, you will now be living on this mountain... as a core disciple!" The grand elder was looking for a reaction from Feng Xing, but unfortunately didn't receive the reaction he hoped for.
"Hmm, ok" Feng Xing seemed to still be indifferent.
Feng Xing didn't really care to much about his position as an outer sect disciple or core disciple. This was just one of the countless small sects of the Nantian continent. He only needed to stay in this sect for a small amount of time. One year was enough for him. He would then leave and go to the Blue Water kingdom. The true powerful sects of the Nantian continent were located there, and only heaven defying geniuses could join.
"I didn't expect to be promoted to core disciple this fast...I better go tell Feng Lao that i won't be participating in the outer sect promotion trials." Feng Xing still wanted to inform Feng Lao about his situation first, because Feng Lao was a fellow clanmember and the only person he actually frequently talked to.
30 minutes later.
"I understand..." Feng Lao was apparently shocked at how fast Feng Xing was promoted, the one who everybody had been calling trash in the clan was actually this brilliant?
"Ok, I'll see you around then." Feng Xing turned to walk away, but was stopped by a shout.
"Wait!" Feng Lao seemed to be wanting to ask a question. Feng Xing turned around and asked :
"What?"
"Have, you been faking to be an idiot for all these years in the clan?" Feng Lao who was usually quiet now stared at Feng Xing with stubborn eyes, he obviously wanted a honest answer from him.
Feng Xing didn't say anything and just casually smiled. Feng Lao understood that Feng Xing didn't want to talk about it.
"Nevermind..." Feng Lao left.
After Feng Lao left, Feng Xing also returned to the Moonfire Mountain as a core disciple. He immediately went to his room which was located in the second elders courtyard.
He started slowly cultivating the two manuals. He decided to go and take a look at the offensive skills on the third floor of the Tempering Path skill building tommorow.
Morning.
He opened his eyes, while having a clear grin on his face. He succeeded in reaching the first level of the .
"So now I am able to withstand attacks from early stage Martial Path cultivators... and im able to crush all under the 7th level of the Tempering Path." Feng Xing was actually happy, although his body still felt pretty sore. Cultivating with a body cultivation manual was painful after all. Although for Feng Xing it was nothing.
He stood up and left to go pick up a battle skill at the Tempering Path skill building. By now all disciples knew that he was a core disciple and respectfully greeted him.
"Greetings, elder." Feng Xing respectfully said to the same elder who was still sitting at the counter since two weeks ago. His hair currently was even messier.
"It seems to be that the heavens have given you enough luck..." The elder seemed to be surprised. Normal outer sect disciples would only become core disciples after being in the inner sect disciple for atleast a year. He wondered what kind of luck this youth before him had.
"Ahahaha...." Feng Xing awkwardly smiled and left of to the third floor.
This time there were a few high tier Tempering Path skills. Feng Xing casually took one of the high tier battle skills and went to the counter.
"I'll take this one." Feng Xing wanted to go back and cultivate as soon as possible.
"The battle skill... not a bad choice at all, but unfortunately that one is pretty hard to learn are you sure?" The elder doubted Feng Xings abilities. Eventhough he was a core disciple, a week or two ago he was still a outer sect disciple...
"I'm absolutely sure." Feng Xing said with a resolute look.
"Young ones these days..." The elder thought.
Feng Xings room
After returning to his room he began to comprehend the battle skill. This battle skill only had one level, but it was very hard to comprehend this battle skill. Because you needed to have an affinity for Lightning and Wind. Feng Xing already knew this. He already had affinity with every single element, so it wasn't a problem for him.
After training for a few hours he managed to get the feel of it.
"First level, Able to attack with thunderous force while pulling the wind force with it. Creating a deadly strike." Feng Xing was actually a little bit surprised that this sect actually owned a high tier battle skill like this. He actually only expected middle tier battle skills.
"I should be able to breakthrough tonight." Feng Xing felt that he was near to breaking through to the 6th rank.

A Primeval Future
Follow the story of a modern caveman as he learns to survive, thrive, and shape his nascent civilization in a world yet untouched by man. Expect a focus on the nitty-gritty of primitive living, especially early on. I plan for this to eventually progressing to the settlement management and politics stage as people gravitate towards the one guy who looks like he knows what he's doing, but this will likely take some time. Despite the occasional system elements, skilling and levels will not be a part of this story. No shortcuts. There will be violence and there will be sexuality but there will be no sexual violence. I hate reading that crap and I hate writing it even more. This is my first serious foray into writing. I plan to put out at least 1 chapter a week, more when I can. Constructive criticism is very much welcomed as are ideas and suggestions! Cover image credit: "Mesolithic camp site" by Wessex Archaeology is licensed with CC BY-NC 2.0. Having a Common Game Ability In Normal Life
As long as i can remember, i can see something other people can't see Yes, on the top right of my vision, i have something that looks like a map, does it useful? how does something that blocks 1/32 of my vision to be useful? Does it have to be useful.. right? As i get older, this looks like "mini-map" in a video game that i played, so i decided to call this Mini-map at least I'm not the only one with this kind of thing.. from what I've found, everyone has different ability, for example my little sister can see another person status, there's a person that can heal wounds by eating meat, there's a person that once a day can spin roulette to get reward, there's a person that can jump twice in the air and there's a person that can throw fireballs..... wait a minute!? the story will be slow, since i just write this to train my english anyhow the idea of this story will be if someone can throw a fireball does their hand burns? if someone can jump for 30m can they survive the fall? if a bard play a song that can regen their allies, why’s the enemy isn’t regenerating? if a cleris creates a barrier can their allies attack from inside barrier? and About the first few chapter i know the grammar was really bad but it’ll help me if you guys read the first few chapter and go straight to the last and tell me have i improve or not P.S i hope The world has “common language” feature so everyone speak in the same tongue lol
