《*DISCONTINUED*》Chapter 1 : A New Beginning

Early morning. It was an important day of the year and every clan in Cloud City was preparing for something big.
Cloud City, Feng Clan Mansion
In one of the rooms of the Feng Clan mansion sat a handsome youth who was around 15 to 16 years of age with intelligent eyes, yet he seemed confused about something.
"This is... strange. I'm sure i died... yet im alive, but this body doesn't seem to be mine at the very least. It seems to be that i have reincarnated. My name is Feng Xing... I also still retain the memories of this person..."
"Feng Xing!" Someone yelled.
"Are you still not out yet! Today is a very important day come out now!"
Feng Xing came out and saw a middle aged man outside his door.
This middle aged man was Feng Kong, his father.
"So this is my father, current master of the clan" Feng Xing thought.
"You unfilial brat!" Feng Kong yelled.
"When were you planning to come out! Have you forgotten what day it is!?" Feng Kong had a face full of anger towards his son.
"Father... I would like to ask what day it is..." Feng Xing calmly said.
Feng Kong at this moment was even angrier.
"You are my son and you don't even know? Today is the day the geniuses of most clans are gonna apply to join the Moonfire Sect!"
"Moonfire Sect..." Feng Xing now recalled some memories.
"Father if i remember correctly, then i should be atleast at the 4th Rank of the Tempering Path to apply right? I'm currently at the 3rd Rank so what does all this have to do with me?"
Feng Kong sighed inwardly.
"Son, you have been stuck at the 3rd Rank of the Tempering Path for 2 years already..." Feng Kong said.
"What! The previous owner of this body had been stuck for 2 years at this rank?!" Feng Xing was shocked but maintained a calm face.
"I know." Feng Xing replied calmly.
Feng Xing still didn't have enough time to check the condition of his body yet, but he clearly felt that he was at a low level. The shocking part was that he stayed like this for 2 whole years. Normal cultivators at the 3rd Rank could atleast breakthrough to the 4th Rank in a year.

"I paid a huge sum to buy a Rank 5 Tempering Pill for you... in hopes that you will breakthrough to the 4rth rank."
Pills were very useful for cultivation they could make cultivating a lot faster or could even let a person directly breakthrough! Tempering Pills were mainly used by people in the Tempering Path realm. When reaching a higher realm, lower realm pills slowly begin to become inefficient. This was also why most pills were very precious in low level clans.
"Hmm, this should be enough for me to breakthrough.." Feng Xing murmured.
"Ofcourse, it's a Rank 5 Tempering Pill after all... and your only at the 3rd Rank of the Tempering Path." Feng Kong said.
"I'll come back in 4 hours... consume the pill and try to breakthrough as fast as possible so we can leave on time."
"Alright." Feng Xing replied.
Feng Xing now mostly had recalled all memories of the previous owner. Today was obviously an important day because one of the Three Major Sects of Clouty City was recruiting new talents, and every single young genius dreamed to enter in one of them.
"Interesting..."
The reason why they all wanted to enter one of the Three Major Sects was because they had actual cultivation manuals which made cultivation a lot smoother and faster, but most important of all, you could learn Tempering Path skills!
For the clans in Cloud City cultivation manuals were already rare enough... but Tempering Path skills were even more rare! Only the strongest clans in Cloud City had a few, while most of the Tempering Path skills were in the Three Major Sects.
For all the talented youths this was a huge temptation, but for Feng Xing who once stood at the peak of the Realm of Gods. This was all but a mere joke in his eyes.
"Heh, eventhough this body can only handle Tempering Path manuals and skills currently... I can still use the best that is available."
Feng Xing immediately chose one of the Supreme Tempering Path manuals that he already knew from his previous life.
"Hmm... I'll pick this one for now."
This manual not only increased the cultivation speed of normal Tempering Path cultivators by 3 times but also lets the cultivator build and have even more energy than normal cultivators of the same rank.

"In the near future I will pick a different manual as the Sun Element doesn't really fit my style..."
In the cultivation world, strength was divided in realms.
Tempering Path - Martial Path - Holy Path - Dao Realm - Ascension Realm - Immortal Realm
The first three were only a build up for later realms, but most people don't even get beyond the Martial Path. The Dao Realm is where everything truely starts, where you usually have your own Dao already, but they were already non-existent in Cloud City.
The Tempering Path, Martial Path and Holy Path consisted of 9 ranks each. You could call a 3rd Rank Tempering Path cultivator someone who was in the early stages of the Tempering Path, while 4th up till 7th rank was withing the middle stages of the Tempering Path.
The true powerful beings in Cloud City were only mere Martial Path cultivators.
Feng Xing didn't really care to much about the Sects, but he also discovered that he was the trash of the clan who stayed at the 3rd Rank of the Tempering Path for 2 whole years...
Feng Xing didn't want to let his father down who actually was the clan leader.
"Alright, since I get a second chance at life I should just accept it. First I'll shut up those brats who have bullied me since a year ago..."
Feng Xing smiled coldly...
2 hours later.
"Hmm, I broke through faster than expected, and I now have 20% more energy than a normal person at the same rank. The isn't bad... I'm content for now"
"I guess i'll go play around hehe..."
Feng Xing has always been a playful person, even in his previous life when he stood at the peak. Because of this he also got easily tricked by one of his dear friends...
Feng Xing walked to the training hall of the clan mansion, people didn't even look at him, like he was invisible. Feng Xing already expected this, because he was deemed to be trash by them. This didn't faze him, not even a bit.
"Hey! trash!"
A youth who looked to be Feng Xing's age walked up to him.
"Oh, it's you" Feng Xing replied.
"What did you say!? You dare to not say Master Yun!" Feng Yun looked to be a bit angry but also confused at Feng Xing's attitude.
"Hahahaha! calling you Master? Please dont make me laugh!"
By now a few people were watching confused about Feng Xing's attitude which normally wasn't like this.
"Y...you! what's wrong with your attitude today! Have you forgotten who beat you up last week!" Feng Yun seemed to be genuinely surprised now.
"Do you dare to go against me?" Feng Xing actually wanted to test his battle power, and right now there was an opportunity for it.
"Dare to go against you? Dont make me laugh! What can you even do at the 3rd rank against me! I have been at the 4th rank for a few months already you know." Feng Yun boasted.
"Less talking now and come at me!" Feng Xing arrogantly said.
"So arrogant! Did he hit his head or something?" Someone said.
"He is just asking to get beat up again..."
"I would say that he will get defeated in less than 10 moves by Feng Yun"
"10 moves? You are overestimating Feng Xing! I would say that Feng Yun only needs 3 moves at most to subdue him!"
The clan members were now gathering to see this fight play out, some of them were happy to see this happen while others felt pity for Feng Xing...
"Oh I'll show you don't worry... hehe" Feng Xing smiled coldy...
Feng Yun suddenly felt a bit of fear, but didn't know why...
