《Immortal Ki Technique》Chapter 62: Desperation In The Dome

With Bren down and out behind him, Lowen couldn't move out of the way, otherwise, Bren would die. Circulating his ki to his utmost with everything he had, he took swords and spears head on.
*Shinck Shink Shink Shink*
Four blades pierced Lowen, three in the chest and one in his left thigh. Right after each pierced into Lowen's flesh, he immediately felt a wave of heat and an overbearing sense of pain. Luckily his body was quite tough and the blades had only pierced an inch or so. Still, with his small frame, these blades had comparatively gone in pretty far. With his snake fist, he pulled the blades from his body and with his overbearing strength snatched each of the weapons out of the four goblins hands and with a returning force, he threw the weapons back.
*Shinck Shink Shink Shink*
With Lowen's incredible aim, the two swords shout out and stab through two goblins heads, killing them instantly. The spears, on the other hand, were too overbearing for the goblins to handle and both spears impaled multiple goblins, sending their bodies flying backward and nailing them to the opposite side of the dome wall. With a few unbearable squirms, the goblins quickly died on the wall. The front of Lowen's body began to pour down with blood. Circulating his energy, Lowen began to seal his wounds, he had no time to deal with the pain. Unfortunately, there was little time to close his wounds as more blades came striking at him. Once more, dozens of blades came thrusting forward and again Lowen could only slap so many away before more had pierced his body. Defending Bren behind him was causing the number of injuries on his body to pile up. On top of all that, the goblin mage again rushed at him. With the shield bashing forward, Lowen swung out his hammer to intercept, this time with a quick thought Lowen didn't use his full strength to force the goblin mage back. If this goblin mage wanted to do close combat, Lowen would see to it that it did close combat. Controlling the swing of his hammer, using just enough strength, instead of rebounding the goblin mage away, he stopped him right in front of himself. If Lowen wanted to gain any advantage at all, then he would have to sacrifice right here and now. With the shield and hammer grinding against each other, the mage swung down his heavy mace with tremendous force. Instead of defending against the mace, Lowen dove down and with a quick thrust of his sword, he stabbed it into the goblins foot but he didn't stop there. Using all the force he could, he pushed the sword deeper in, all the way down until the hilt was touching the mages foot. The goblin screamed out in pain and this wound caused his aim to miss but not by much. With little time and his sword now gone, Lowen had no other choice but to raise his arm in defense.
*Crunch Snap*
With a terribly loud crack, Lowen 's forearm snapped in half. Lowen couldn't help but shout at the top of his lungs releasing a cry of agony.
" AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Lowen's shouts then became angry as he roared out.

"My fucking arm!"
The two had both lost something in this exchange, the mages foot was completely ruined and Lowen's bone was sticking out from his arm. However, neither were finished yet. Lowen raised his hammer quicker than the mage could raise his mace and using his quickest speed, Lowen brought the hammer down with rage.
*Bang*
Lowen knocked the mage's shield out of his hand and on to the ground and with the mage now completely exposed, with a twist of Lowen's wrist, he brought that same silver hammer right back up and struck this goblin earth mage right in the jaw.
*Bang*
The goblin mage was sent flying and because the goblins foot was pinned down with Lowen's sword, it was cut vertically, splitting his foot nearly in two halves. The foot now remained together by only a small amount of leftover skin and bone from the heel. As the goblin was sent flying, his body flew through the air over the army of goblins and with a loud crash, he struck the other side of the dome wall.
*Boom*
Crashing into the wall, the goblins entire body was embedded nearly a foot deep. With the force from this impact, the goblin mage coughed up mouthful after mouthful of thick green blood. With the mage smashed into the wall, a big obstacle was now out of the way. The goblin leader Rize stood up and looked on with intrigue but nothing more than that and with a small smile, he sat back down and continued to watch. The other goblin soldiers, seeing their earth mage being bested showed no expressions of fear. Without hesitation, they swarmed at Lowen once more. With Lowen's broken arm, he would be open to even more attacks, so with quick thinking, he picked up the mage's shield and blocked most of the incoming strikes. This Shield, however, could only do so much, although it defended him well, still, after each volley, instead of four or five attacks getting through, now it was reduced to one or two. Although this shield helped because it was just a shield and his other arm was useless, he had very little options when it came to countering. Swinging the shield around, goblin after goblin would go flying into the wall and with their regular goblin bodies stuffed in armor, they would smash so hard against the rock wall their bodies would almost turn to jelly on impact. With that, their bodies would slide down from the wall leaving nothing more than a long green streak of blood. On the ground, only twisted and mangled bodies would remain. Still, like a never-ending swarm, holes in the wall would open up revealing a pathway behind it and more and more goblins would pile out of them. After a few would come out, those same holes would once more reseal themselves shut.
Lowen could feel a small source of magic coming from the walls, causing his mind to race with thought.
(There must be some mechanism behind these walls operated with magic. If I can pinpoint the mechanisms location, I might just be able to open up an escape route.)
As the goblins continued to attack Lowen, the injuries on his body were piling up. With the shield, he could defend his upper body and head but his broken arm, as well as both of his legs and feet, were completely exposed. A large puddle of blood was forming beneath his feet and Lowen could feel his head becoming lighter, circulating more ki he remained clear-headed and continued to bash away enemy after enemy. Right now what Lowen needed the most was time, not hours and not even minutes, if he just had a dozen seconds or so, he believed he could open up a path in the wall. The problem was though, he had no time. Rize looked over and thought.

(Hmm, he's almost their but not quite. It seems he needs one more push.)
Rize looked over at his fallen mage and in a commanding tone, he said.
"Colt, get up and fight. "
Hearing his leader, the goblin mage struggled for a moment before he finally stepped forward out of the wall. Picking up his mace, the bracelet on Colt's wrist began to glow green and a wall 8 ft high and 8 ft wide of rock formed in front of him. Picking up this wall that weighed 2000 pounds at least, with Incredible strength he tossed it forward towards Lowen. As it flew through the air, Colt's bracelet glowed once more and he struck the ground heavily with his mace. Lowen saw the wall coming at him from across this chamber and knew that he wouldn't be able to block it with the shield, he had to destroy it. Abandoning the shield, Lowen again picked up his heavy silver wolf hammer and just as the wall came face-to-face with him, Lowen swung his hammer.
*Boom*
Lowen, with his overbearing strength, slammed his hammer into this wall and crushed it to pieces. As the chunks of wall went flying in every direction, dozens and dozens of nearby goblin soldiers were crushed by the high-speed debris. As the pieces of wall went in every direction but Lowen's, Lowen suddenly felt something approaching but it was already too late. With the rock wall crushed in front of him, what followed immediately behind it was earth spikes. This is exactly what the goblin mage had intended. Sending the wall first, Lowen's view would be completely blocked from the earth spikes fastly approaching from behind it. With no time to defend himself properly, Lowen could only raise the hammer to try to protect his head and part of his upper body. All at once over 20 earth spikes stabbed at Lowen. Lowen could only clench his jaw and endure as his body was stabbed repeatedly.
*Shinck Shinck Shinck Shinck Shinck*
1 2 3 4 5, Lowen was stabbed in his upper right thigh, in his lower right abdomen, his upper right chest, his upper right arm, and one spike had even pierced completely through his right shoulder lifting him off of his feet and pinning him to the wall behind him.
"UAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"
Lowen wanted to hold in his cries of agony, he wanted to be strong In this moment but the pain he felt right now was just too much to bear. Lowen 's eyes began to roll back to the back of his head but just as he was about to faint he remembered Nia and Ben and he just barely managed to hang on. Seeing the enemy completely defenseless and pinned to the wall, the goblin soldiers all rushed in at once. Just as they were about to go in for the finishing blow, a loud commanding voice took hold of the room.
"Enough!"
Everyone recognized exactly who that voice belonged to and they froze on the spot, taking back their weapons, they held them at the ready. The entire chamber was now filled with silence, the only sound to be heard were the footsteps of a single person. Walking over, Rize made his way through the crowd, with each step he took the soldier's opened a path and moved out of the way. Colt as well, with his ruined foot, slowly limped over following his leader. Making their way to Lowen, they stopped right in front of him and Rize gave another command.
" Colt, let him down."
Colt didn't hesitate and with a thought, the earth spikes that impaled Lowen degraded back in the dirt and once more became apart of the ground. Lowen collapsed to his knees and blood seemed to pour from every part of his body. Lowen stood up and quickly dove for his sword and hammer, his sword wrapped around his arm and he clasped his hammer tightly in his hand, he was ready to fight. The mage seeing this immediately stepped in front of his leader and shouted.
"Rize watch out."
However, Rize did not heed his warning and pushed past him. Standing right in front of Lowen, Rize said in a confident tone.
" Colt, there's no need, look at him, he's on his last legs."
Lowen truly was in a desperate situation, he was tired, so tired. His body and mind had not only been exhausted but he was stabbed and cut repeatedly all over, the blood he had lost was an ungodly amount. As Lowen stood there with heavy breaths, sweat pouring from his body like a fountain, beaten and tired, he couldn't understand why he hadn't been killed yet.
(Why aren't they killing me, with me out of the way their plans can go unimpeded, what does this goblin want?)
Rize smiled and said.
"What do I want? With Clovis I have a powerful battlemage, with that fella behind you I now have two, with Colt I have an earth mage and with you, I will soon have another. With your body and mind exhausted like this, you will be mine to control forever or at least until you no longer serve a purpose."
Lowen hearing this became absolutely terrified and he thought.
( This goblin, he can read my thoughts and he says he can control me but I'm a mage, can he really do that? Can he really take over a mage's mind? Wait if he can read my thoughts, then isn't he reading them now, shit shit shit.)
Rize smiled demonically at Lowen and said.
"Whether I can do it or not, you will soon find out."

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.

Hardcore OP-ness
Most people pray for good health, a loving family, and to win the lottery. I asked “Can you send me to a game-like fantasy-style world? It can't be too unrealistic, but also, it would be nice if I was immortal to some degree. Oh yea, no rape or slavery either, cause then I'll have to spend the whole time trying to create a perfect society, and I'd rather not have to deal with all that nonsense. No other players either, cause that always creates a ton of annoying drama, and I just want to have a fun, relaxing, and enjoyable time.â€Three years later, after I had completely forgotten about all that… well, better late than never I suppose. The moral of this story, is to be careful what you wish for; also, cuteness is justice, so don't complain if adorable bunnies beat you to death and devour your corpse.(Warning: This story includes profanity, numbers, humanity, nudity, uncomfortable realism in a fantasy-world, awkward but mild sexual-content, descriptive violence and gore, nekomimi, necrophilia, bizarre and disturbing sexual-content, offensive language, plus all of the other things that disclaimers usually have to tell you about. Do not read this if you dislike transportation, virtual reality, fantasy, or other similar genres… or me, because I'm the author.)I'm only posting a few chapters on this site, but there are over 100 on my wordpress. https://mike777ac.wordpress.com/hardcore-op-ness/
