Now that he decided to play the part of a hero, at least for the moment, Dark Lord was a little perplexed. Personally he preferred the role of a villain, but beggars can’t be choosers.

‘Still, how am I supposed to deal with this woman? Killing her is a no-no, so I must keep playing the role of the rescuer…I should probably imitate Meros’s fancy way of talking’

“Milady, are you hurt?”

“My hero…I mean, milord…hero-sama…”

“Runfar is fine, milady”

“Runfar-sama….” Eris’s sapphire blue eyes were sparkling with undeniable admiration and puppy-like fascination.

“Princess, can you stand up?”

“Auuu, I mean, yes! I can stand…Ouch!” as soon as she tried, her leg gave out, making her fall down. Apparently her legs had gone numb after being immobile for some time.

“This will not do. Please, allow me”

“Wait! What do you think you are doing…Yeep!”

With a single motion, Runfar lifted Eris up in a bridal carry.

Eris couldn’t believe the situation she was in.

The man who just saved her now was carrying her in his arms.

‘He is not only strong, but bold as well…’

Each girl has a fantasy of a man she would like to meet one day, and this Lord Runfar was like someone who emerged right out of her deepest dreams.

‘I have never been so close to a man before. Such strong shoulders… that fancy half mask… that kind smile on his face…My heart can’t take it! He is too cool!’

“Uhm, Princess? It’s about time we get out of here”

Dark Lord couldn’t have guessed just what kind of fireworks he ended up unintentionally setting off inside a certain maiden’s heart.

Leona managed to singlehandedly finish off the bandits. There were at least fifty of them.

But it was not too much of a hassle.

She was the Knight of Light after all.

Yet, the dress Runfar gave her ended up suffering quite the damage, and the blood stains of her enemies made it a quite a tragic sight to look at.

“Runfar? Where are you?”

Leona started to look around, and seeing that her friend was nowhere near in sight, she grew alarmed.

But then, she saw two people emerge out of the underground chamber, apparently climbing up the stairs toward the surface.

When she saw the two people climb out, Leona felt as though someone punched in the gut.

Her eyes opened wide in denial at the scene she was witnessing.

Runfar Sevilles, the man she secretly harbored feelings for, was now carrying the Second Princess in a bridal carry.

The Second Princess had her arms wrapped around Runfar’s neck for support.

Overall, it was a rather lovey-dovey scene.

‘Wha-wha-wha-what the heck is going on here?!!!’

Leona felt like screaming it out loud, but managed to barely hold back her voice.

The picture before her was truly heartbreaking to say the least.

After climbing out, Runfar put the Princess down.

She seemed a little disappointed, but then she saw Leona.

“Lord Leon! Is that you? But…why are you dressed as a woman?”

‘Oh boy’

Both Runfar and Leona thought at the same time.
