《Death's Door》Volume 1: Chapter 6- Crazy Time

“AAAAAAAAH!” Nur screamed as he was being flung through the air, upside down, hanging by his leg, stuck to the flying dragon’s tail.

Just how he has gotten himself into such a mess? The answer is simple: the dragon inside the city did something stupid and Nur was unlucky enough to be nearby when that happened. From the looks of it, she sneaked into a place that had many farm animals and started to devour them all, and when the owner of the farm animals came, he was shocked to find a gigantic dragon feasting upon his livestock. Then a panic broke out, and the knight ended up traveling to that place in an instant.

Nur was curious what had happened so he followed the crowd. He did not expect to see this.

A dragon emerged from the butcher place, the knights who entered the place tried to shoot arrows at it and even used rope, but they missed the vital spots, making the dragon able to fly up.

Nur tried to duck as the dragon flew over him, but to his extreme bad luck, he felt a pull on his leg, a rope ended up being tied to it like a whip, extending from the tail of the dragon. Apparently the knights tried to use the rope in order to make it unable to spread its wings, but the ropes missed and ended up tying the tail instead, and now the other end of the ropes ended up tied to Nur’s left leg.

With the dragon flying up, the rope pulled him up as well, into the sky, hanging for his life by his left leg, all the while screaming, Nur experienced the least pleasurable form of flight known to man.

“Why does this keep happening to me! What have I done to deserve such bad fortune?”

“THAT IS MY LINE” The Dragon looked down while flying at its tail and uttered in surprise. “NUR FINNERMAN? WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? WHY ARE YOU ATTACHED TO MY TAIL?”

“That’s what I would like to know!”

“STAY STILL, I WILL BURN OFF THE ROPES…”

“No!!! If you cut the ropes then I will fall to my death!”

“BUT I CAN’T CATCH WIND CURRENTS WITHOUT MY TAIL”

“Then in that case, how about just landing.”

“NO CAN DO. INCOMING!” Dragon made a ducking maneuver mid-air, dodging a spear. She ended up flailing her tail in such a way that Nur ended up flung upwards and landed roughly on here back with his rear.

“Ooucch!” Nur felt unbearable pain in his lower body area. Slamming down on dragon’s back was excruciatingly painful.

“WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TOUCHING!!?”

“Not like I have much of a choice!” Nur was riding on dragon’s back, looking down he could see the knights below, struggling to shoot arrows at them.

Then, a large ballista came into view. They were loaded with spear-like arrows, ten for each, and they shot with deadly accuracy.

Aida managed to dodge a few of them, but one ended up striking her stomach area, making her lose her balance and fall forward.

Luckily for Nur, she landed with her body forward, instead of her back, so he did not end up being squashed underneath the few ton weight of the dragon’s body.

“Well, we landed far from the knights, so we should be safe…” Nur did get to finish his sentence. An arrow landed on his chest, piercing him in the heart.

“NUR FINNERMAN!” The dragon roared. Then Nur could see, with his fading vision, that the ones who shot him were not human knights, but demons.

‘Right, I forgot, there are demons here as well, what kind rotten place I have gotten myself into….’ Nur’s sight gradually turned black.

The last thing he saw before dying was the sight of demons throwing metallic nets and ropes at helpless dragon, tying her upon the ground, preventing her movement. Now the demons have captured the dragon. And Nur was the one who helped them do it.
