My apologies for making people wait. I’ve been dithering for the last week. I’ve run into several problems with pacing, plot tension, and a few other things. This is the first work of fiction I have ever written, and I’m learning as I go along.
I’ve decided to go back and rewrite the first 18 chapters and re-release them. I can’t continue writing from where I currently am in Chapter 11 without making a number of continuity breaks. That’s the bad news. I’m going to stop putting out new chapters for a couple of months while I rewrite. The good news is I am not abandoning the story.
I plan to leave the current chapters up and then make a link to the new work when it is ready, hopefully in about two months. Once it is prepared, I will place the new chapters up very rapidly rather than the 1 per week schedule I have been following.
Once adjustments are made the first book should be 20 some chapters long.

Striving against him for truly ultimate power are a thousand others with the same potential, the same possibilities. All are aligned on the spectrum from the brightest of minds, the lightest of hearts, to the darkest of souls. All Mystic Players, be they Monster or Marshal, share one characteristic. They thrive in chaos. And a shattered universe is a universe in chaos. At the end of the Saga, will the winner be someone worthy of emulation and even, if it were appropriate, of worship as an exemplar of divinity.
