I hurriedly jump from the bed and start to prepare myself for today classes.

My name is Nora Nightingale. A 18 years old Red Magician. Next in line of the family Nightingale.

I study at Strasnorths Academy. It's a very old academy for mages, or you could say, nobles. This isn't your average academy mind you, it's for the elite. As long as you get good grades or have a high magic potential and wish to learn, you can get into this place.

No, I am not the best student ever, even though my grades are good. In this country Coeburg, if you are born with red hair, your future is basically guaranteed. For each redhead, there are 100 orange haired, for each orange haired, there are 100 blondes, and so on... In other words, redheads are rare.

In the other academies they also summon servants, but they summon animals or magical beasts. Animal Servants are just like normal animals, but they possess a higher intelligence. Magical Beasts Servants are beasts like dragons or griffons with high strenght and intelligence, some can even speak. But obviously, none of those two can compare to a Heroic Servant.

I quickly exit the dorms and run to the main buildings, where the classrooms are located.

Strasnorths Academy is a huge set of facilities. It is a fair amount of kilometers isolated from the capital city, Gane. This academy is a paradise for any mage who wants to learn. It has a huge library with a big collection of books that puts the national library to shame, it has a huge campus, it has greenhouses with the most exotic herbs and also a whole building dedicated to breed small animals for tests and studies. And I only scratched the surface... According to records, this place used to be a castle centuries ago.

As I walk to the classroom, I see some seniors talking to their servants. I am so envious... I can't wait!

I reach the classroom, some of my classmates are already there.

"Hi everyone!"

I greet everyone and they reply back. Seems like I am not the only one anxious.

"Hey Nora! You also can't wait for the summonings?"

"Hi Karli! I almost couldn't sleep yesterday just by thinking about it."

The person I am talking to is my friend Karli Vaux, 2nd in line of the family Vaux. Like most students in this academy, she is blonde.

A boy walks into the classroom:

"Oh hey you two! Today you are early."

This boy is Blake Biller, 4th son of the Biller head, orange haired. He has a complex about me, whenever we do something, he always wants to compete. Usually I don't mind, but sometimes it gets annoying.

A Heroic Servant is a character from a legend. When enough people know about one legend, or believe in that legend, that legend information is carved into the Spirit Realm. The summoning circle will read that information from some legend and summon one of the main characters, or if one is lucky enough, it will summon the protagonist. Needless to say, in most legends, the protagonist is the strongest one.

By the way, the process is similar to the other two type of Servants. Although Animal Servants don't come from legends.

Unfortunately, this process is completely random. No one discovered how to summon a specific character from a specific legend. But despite that fact, it doesn't stop most students praying for a specific character.

When a Servant is being summoned, the circle will display that Servant strenght with a rank, that goes from F to S. Basically F is the weakest, E, D, C, B, A and S is the strongest. This rank applies to all types of Servants. Usually, Animal Servants can have the rank from F to E. Magical Beasts Servants can be from D to B, some can even be A. Heroic Servants can be from C to S. Although a S ranked servant was never summoned, making some wonder why rank S exists.

Servants are powerful and therefore, dangerous. That's why they are summoned with a Command Seal. With a Command Seal, the Master and the Servant know each other locations. But that's only the small point, the main point of the Command Seal is the Master can give orders to the Servant, orders that the Servant cannot refuse. Although the Master can give unlimited orders, such behavior isn't encouraged. Better have a friendly relationship with the Servant, than having him resenting you.

"And thus, let's get going shall we? Everyone follow me."

The teacher finishes his lectures and everyone immediately stands up and we all walk right to behind him. There is a clear atmosphere filled with impatience and anxiety.

Everyone walks to the campus, and we see another two teachers beside the circle, making sure everything was drawn perfectly. Another classes are also coming.

The circle was big, 5 meters in diameter. I never saw anything like it. I mean, I read about the circle but I never saw one in real size.

"Alright everyone! Everyone go over there, away from the circle, and one by one will summon their servant."

And it was so. Each student walked to the front of the circle and poured mana into it, with the help of both teachers that drawn the circle. When summoning, the circle would emit a light so bright that we couldn't stare into the circle. Once the light died down, we could see a person in the center of it.

In the next hour, this place became more and more exotic. There were servants everywhere talking to their respective master. Until now, all of them were either rank C or B. Not a single A until now.

Karli nervously walks to the front of the circle and starts the summoning. And in the next few moments, a orange haired woman in her 30s dressed with light armor appeared.

The teacher said:

"My name is Liria, you probably know me as the Red Rose Liria."

Blake walks to the circle full of confidence, and starts pouring mana into it. Blake can be annoying, but I admire his determination sometimes. But I will never tell him I think that though.

In the next few moments, a large man appears in the center of the circle. He is blonde in his 30s and dressed with a white and golden heavy armor.

The teacher says:

"Well well well, it's A rank. Congratulations Mr Biller."

"Hehehe... Thanks teacher. So, what's your name?"

"My name is Corin Bardy, you might know me as The White King."

Blake and his Servant walk past behind me. He has a huge smile on his face. Oh God, now he will never shut up about it...

I am the last one to summon today. I walk to the front of the circle.
