Chapter 46: Almighty Senior
Huang Xue had a dark expression as he observed these four powerful auras.
“Hmph! To covet the treasure of someone whom I have set my eyes on, these people...are truly looking to die!”
As Huang Xue thought this, he began to rush into the dark tunnel that Luo Ke had escaped into a while back. At the same time, he began to rotate the power within his soul…
***
Several tens of miles away, three elders could be seen rapidly approaching the Grand Valley Tomb.
However, they were not doing so by foot but rather by...flight!
Once a martial artist reached the Tian realm, they would possess the ability of flight amongst a few new strengths. But judging by the dense and deep auras around these three elders, it was clear they had long surpassed that stage…
The three persons wore the same exact purple silk robe, their hair equally gray from the passage of time. While they had ordinary looks, their skin was especially pale; making them seem ghastly to the common folks. Faint killing intent flickered within their dull eyes.
Unlike what Huang Xue had suspected, these old men did not come for Luo Ke’s magical treasure but rather...the man with the sinister aura who Huang Xue had detected earlier!
“Elder Mu, this time we must not let that Sung Li get away again this time!” The purple robed elder flying on the left spoke towards the person at the center of their formation.
“Right, just as Elder Hu says, we have to succeed this time, Elder Mu! We have been chasing after him for nearly a year now.” The other elder on the far right spoke up this time.
The purple robed elder at the center coldly replied: “Elder Kun need not remind me as well. This time, I have obtained critical information on that Sung Li’s whereabout. We will absolutely succeed.”
The elder on the right called ‘Elder Kun’ gave a dry laugh as he did not speak further.
Out of the three people present, Elder Mu gave off the most intense aura. He was naturally the one with the highest cultivation level as well. That is why when Elder Kun noticed the cold tone in Elder Mu’s words, he did dare speak further. The elder on the left, Elder Hu, kept quiet as well.
As the trio proceeded to near the mountain range where the Grand Valley Tomb laid, suddenly, a fierce aura locked down upon the three elders’ body!
Immediately, the air around them seemed to stagnate as such, that even the Qi energy within this aura domain disappeared. The three purple robed elders felt it much harder to breathe; their body was likewise finding it extremely difficult to move as well!
Elder Kun and Elder Hu’s face instantly paled.
“This…?” Elder Mu, who had a higher cultivation was able to somewhat move, however his face could not help turning pale at this time.
That is because with his cultivation, he could feel that the aura which had locked them down...possessed an unfathomable depth to it! Even their Clan Master did not have the ability to instantly suppress them like this...

An apprehensive began to grow within Elder Mu’s heart, while above the three elders, thick black clouds began to gather, Within moments, great thunders began to rumble within the dark clouds, with an occasion lightning striking out. However, despite such a bizarre scene, not a single living being nearby noticed it.
Seeing this, the three elders’ face fell.
“It seems this entire space has been completely locked down as well…” Elder Mu thought solemnly. To have the power to affect such a large field of space, there was no doubt that this was the doing of a peak leveled expert! But...how could they have attracted the attention of a monster like that?
As the elders were helpless to move, they could only await in cold fear as they strained to around them.
Suddenly, an ancient voice rang out. The owner of the voice may have spoken softly, however, it appeared to have echoed from all around the elders. There was no way for them to ascertain where the voice was coming from.
“Speak. Who and why are you here?”
The voice seemed to be fused with absolute power as it struck mercilessly against the elders' soul, causing their face to go another shade paler. Elder Hu and Elder Kun, who could not hold on, involuntarily coughed up blood as their ears bled. While Elder Mu was able to prevent his orifices from bleeding, he too, was unable to stop himself from coughing up blood. A mere question had simply reduced them to such a state.
Horror immediately surfaced on the elders’ face. With a few simple words, they had already been injured! And they could faintly tell that the other person had been holding back as well…
Elder Mu strained himself to bow as he cupped his hands towards the black clouds. Even though he could not see or sense the other party, with just the strange appearance of the dark clouds, he was able to speculate a few thing from experiences.
“Almighty...almighty senior. We three are juniors of the Gui Clan. We hail from the Infernal Land. If we have offended senior in any way, we hope to sincerely apologize for our great sin of ignorance!”
Up inside the dark clouds that gathered, a black robed figure sat relaxedly in a lotus position. With long silvery hair, a handsome young man’s face could be made out amidst the chaotic surrounding. At this time, the man’s eyes were closed. This person...was naturally Huang Xue’s divine clone!
As Huang Xue’s clones, they are linked together by soul. It is due to this that Huang Xue was able to monitor his clones’ activities and even access their senses from time to time. It was also through soul communication that Huang Xue was able to immediately recall his one of his clones, at the late Saint Overlord realm, to the Grand Valley Tomb.
After all, based on his current ability, Huang Xue’s true body was simply unable to contend against these top experts. Thus, after having his clone travel through spatial dimensions four times, his other self finally arrived.

This goes to show the long distance between Huang Xue’s current dwelling and his clone’s location; requiring the aid of several dimensional travels. If Huang Xue was still at the peak of his Immortal Sovereign realm, a single dimensional rift would be enough for him to cover this massive distance of several millions miles.
Once his clone arrived, Huang Xue immediately directed his full attention to the former. Using his power to easily trap the three elders, Huang Xue then began his short interrogation.
When he heard the words ‘Infernal Land’, his indifferent face slightly flickered.
“The Infernal Land...that’s where the Hidden Ghost Valley resides in.” Huang Xue mused to himself.
Down below, the three elders awaited nervously. The ancient elder had not said a single word for a while after Elder Mu had spoken, which made the atmosphere even more tense.
“Why have you come here?” Finally, the archaic voice once again rang out; this time, it did not contain the horrifying power it did before which had injured the three of them. Yet, it still made the elders’ soul tremble violently.
“This…” Elder Mu began before his words falter. He was an extremely cautious man by nature. Even now he was still silently thinking about their current mission and this mysterious elder’s sudden appearance.
While he did not believe the man who they were chasing after, Sung Li, could garner help from such an exalted being, there was always that ‘what if’. Suppose Sung Li somehow managed to gain help from this great elder, if he were to say their true purpose, would it not be inviting calamity upon themselves? This was what Elder Mu thought in his mind.
This entire thought process may have taken a while to describe, but it had raced through Elder Mu’s head in a mere moments. In reality though, Elder Mu had overthink this situation and made it much more complicated than it was.
And unfortunately, this moment of hesitation was what led to his, and his companions’, demise.
“Nevermind. You may all die now.”
With Huang Xue’s keen senses as a Saint Overlord practitioner, how could he miss the hesitation in Elder Mu’s words? Moreover, from the moment Huang Xue could clearly sensed the three elders’ aura, he had gained unbarred access to their souls as well. From there on, he could detect the murderous and sinister aura that continuously revolved around the three persons’ soul.
With such thick sinister energy and sin gathered around their souls, Huang Xue could easily tell they were no kind saints. They were definitely heading towards the Grand Valley Tomb with good intentions. And thinking on that path, Huang Xue thought to the treasure on Luo Ke’s body…
Huang Xue did not make a move. However, the instant Huang Xue’s words rang out, a terrified expression replaced Elder Mu and the other two elders’ face.
“Wait…” Elder Mu was completely scared as he tried to pacify the ancient elder. This time, he was definitely willing to say everything.
But it was sadly too late…
“?!”
Elder Mu paused as his words became stuck in his throat, unable to come out. This was because at this very moment, he could feel a mysterious energy slamming straightening into his soul; rendering him breathless.
Then, as if unsatisfied, that strange energy began...to forcefully pull out his soul!
Similar scenarios played out for Elder Hu and Elder Kun. Although the three elders tried to resist, how could they, with just the ability of two early Dao Ascents and a late Dao Ascent, fight against the a late staged Saint Overlord?
If Huang Xue had not been holding back a massive chunk of his powers when he arrived, even a small breath from him could have instantly pulverized these little Dao Ascents!
In, but a short exchange, Huang Xue had effortlessly wrestled out the souls of the three elders. When three glowing orbs were wretched out from the chest of the three elders by an invisible force, the elders did not even have time to scream as they died instantly. Their face was contorted in a hideous, terrified expression upon their death.
Regardless what kind of existence one was, to have one’s soul taken out of their body would result in absolute death of their flesh. And if one’s soul was extinguished...then that would signify true death, along with inability to ever reincarnate again!
When the three bodies of the elders died, they still remained suspended in the air due to Huang Xue’s control of the environment around them.
The three glowing yellow orbs trembled with sentiments in the air, as if they are pleading to be released. Although their body had been destroyed, the three elders still ‘lived’ on through their soul. As such, they were still able to see what was happening around them and could even communicate.
But Huang Xue did not bother answering the pleads of these unfortunate folks.
A column of black clouds suddenly shot out from the gathering of dark clouds above, enshrouding the three corpses. The dark cloud column then returned, leaving an empty space at the place where the three bodies had originally been.
Next, the three trembling souls were suddenly pulled up towards the swirling lumps of black clouds. As they neared, the dark clouds seemed to morph into a large mouth as it unhesitantly swallowed the three souls.
Huang Xue’s eyes were still closed, undisturbed by what had happened.
“Now, let me see what that child is up to…” Huang Xue thought as his directed his divine sense towards the Grand Valley Tomb and locked on...the man with the sinister aura he had previously discovered!
