Chapter 20
A Legend Begins
The Camarilla was in shambles, the right wing was burnt, melted, and everything that made it the giant ship a majestic creation was now in the trash.
It was only able to stay in the air because of the effects of the Caterpillar Line on the base of the ship.
Hoverstones really are useful at these circumstances that’s why it was a standard requirement whenever a designing a ship. There were a lot of useful uses for the Hoverstones except for warship bases.
For example, advanced users use Hoverstones in their weapons to boost their attack and/or minimize its weapon unit (we).
In exchange for the trouble of finding the mineral and spending a minimum of Z10M for the right to use an officially announced one of the protected resources.
At this regard, the Camarilla who had a whole level dedicated for the caterpillar was like a large snail with multiple cannons. Smokes were coming out of the right wing as its melted parts were meshed together like liquid plastic.
Though the main thrusters behind were okay, the balance and weight distribution on the body and the wings were all messed up to the point that they’ve even decided to just cut both wings off.
“Do it!” Ordered Elsass and the operator’s trembling hand reached for the console and dialed an emergency number.
At the next moment, both of the wings with all its components, were detached itself from the main body of the Camarilla. Still, [Ship balance dropped by 45% sir. Main thrusters are online sir. Initiating side thruster engines.]
“Minimize the use of the side thrusters! We can’t risk losing them too!”
[Aye captain!]
“Order all the troops to deploy in maximum assault formation! Safari, Hyperion, Piranha, Asakura, initiate defensive formation-T. Counter attack using Cyclones and do whatever you can to bring those ships down!”
[Sir! Heat signature detected! Prontera-class warship equipped with four Tomahawk missile pods and Flamer directional cannons! It’s coming from the Taal Range’s edges! Its an underground facility! Distance is 120km north-northeast! It’s leaving the battlefield sir!]
“Darn these fools! They know they’re losing so they escape! I won’t let them! Order the Cyclone second fleet to follow them! Don’t let them escape!”
[Incoming message from the Mooran HQ!]
“Mooran HQ?! Che! Patch it through.”
A blink changed the main monitor’s view from the war to the face of commander Matsuri. His expression was calm with his hands on his back and wearing an aura of dignity and elegance with his cape and time woven face.
[Been a long time, master Elsass.]
“Coward! You know you’re losing and are trying to escape shame by fleeing the battlefield! You are not worthy of being called a Power!”
[You are mistaken, if you think that the ship that left this base had me in it. It was simply just a guest that I let escape.]
“Hmp. You think such a lie would actually hit me on the head? I will take my revenge.” Elsass sat down on his chair and motioned to press a button when Matsuri spoke that made him pause.
[I did not order any attack on you, Elsass, you know it and you still do this.]
“YOU…!! YOU MADE THEM QUIT! THEY’RE THE FIRST FRIENDS I MADE IN YEARS AND YOU EVEN CAUSED ME TO…TO…I WILL NOT HEAR YOUR LIES! TODAY YOU SHALL FACE THE SHAME YOU HAVE PUT INTO THE TITANS AND THIS WILL MARK THE DAY THAT OUR NAMES SHALL BE ANGRAVED IN HISTORY!”

[And I am telling you, Elsass, someone is using this war to gain something! This whole farce is staged! Stop the attack now! If Mooran falls, then Terroa falls too!]
“If Mooran falls, there are still ten more Lightstone mines in this planet. Yours is not a loss. Commence the attack.” He pressed the button and cut the line.

Again…I’m losing my consciousness again…
There’s still something else very important missing in this ability. It’s not yet complete.
…not yet…
But I had no choice but to use it.
Even if I end up sick from vertigo, from giddiness, or from the feeling of losing my mind from the sudden burst and shifting of gravity, deep inside me, I really feel that there was something waking up.
Something is wake up…or already awake…and I feel it pushing me forth. Making me move…making me a hated being. I hated it, and yet, I love how it felt.
Even so, I have to do it. For Baron, I have to move.
Everything up front is money. I kill these guys, info windows about loots pop up in my vision. If that’s the case, then they are all equivalent of money.
So I will trample everything that stands in my way.
I will trust no one.
Everyone is an enemy.
Kill them all.
Destroy everything in my sight.
…aah, stretching my hand like this…I can feel power seeping through my veins. Wait…the cool down’s off now? Was it really this short a time?
Whatever.
Descend and punish the damned…
“Raijin.”
***
‘F*ck1 He’s using it again!’
‘Get away from him!’
‘Attack him before he finish casting!’
‘That’s a Tier-1 magic you dambass!’
‘It only has three second casting time!’
‘Someone help us!!!’
‘Here it comes!’
‘Noooooooooooooooo….’
‘Gwaaaaaaaa…’
‘Aaaahhh…’
*KACHAKKKK…BOOM!
[You are dead!]
Game Over!]
***
It only needed three seconds casting time.
Tier-1 magic spell, Spark, one of the very basic of magic spells. With a maximum damage output of 30, with the help of accessories and the right junction, it could even be raised as much as 40. And since every player in Terroa has 100HP on the start of their careers as hunters, -40HP damage is already monstrously big as it was. So most players, they add points to their VIT stat to raise their chances of survival, sacrificing skills and abilities in exchange for safety.
Still, Spark can kill a naked person, IF, he/she were actually naked. But not to the point that they will burn.
For most players, getting hit by Spark and actually taking the -30dmg is really just pure amateur. One thing is, not all players are actually slow enough to get hit by the spell, not to mention it was a mid-melee spell.
Going back to the topic, -40HP damage is still big so just how much damage does it really need to turn a player into charred remains of what was once a person?
What was wrong with this Tier-1 spell was the fact that that same Tier-1 magic spell who can’t even kill an E-rank monster in one shot, just killed 23 people in one go. So just what kind of principle was it really behind that monstrously big attack?
He will cast the spell to himself, then poof, lightning hits him and kills everyone around him.
But those people were heavily armored warriors, mages who had magic immunity, and archers who could actually dodge the trajectory of the attack.
Mysteriously distressing enough, the man kept doing it in a way that was uniquely tricky but easy to understand pattern.
When he is wearing the armor, he will cast the spell to himself and at the next moment, he could teleport ten meters away from any target, three times. As the three charge is depleted, the masked intruder calls a larger lightning from the sky and his armor breaks into tiny invisible peaces and grants him four charges to use the teleport skill again, plus, the ability to cast lightning from his hands once.
That’s how he had summarized the skill.
Also, it seems that he is weak from frontal attacks but can easily dodge any attack that comes up front. In all these hypotheses one thing is for sure, he definitely is using Tier-1 magic spell, Spark.
No mistaking it.
The short casting time and cooldown time is one of the proof of it and the small spark in the hand after casting the spell is another.
But it shouldn’t kill high ranked players with high grade armors.
It shouldn’t even be that big.
It shouldn’t be this powerful…
FlowerLord, Cramer, the remaining Masked Men, a few Titans and Sylphs around, they were all looking at the man with terrified eyes.
The more numbers who come after him, the more he looked frighteningly powerful.
C, B, and A-ranked monsters that was used to pull their cargos and catapults even got angry and attacked him. Still, even with the combined forces of the TGG and Sylph, with the still selfish efforts of the Masked Organization, and there’s also the two nearest strongest users in their crowd, all they could do to him is scratch him. The masked intruder had actually changed the flow of the war in the ground.
In the air, the flying units still continued to fight their war but below, they seemed to have grouped up just to stop the rampaging of the masked intruder.
And when they aren’t attacking, the intruder replenish his strength and then continues to spout.
“This war is staged…”
He kept on doing that, not seem to be intending to stop the war or actually just an excuse to kill players.
Again, he repeated the same words over and over.
This was a staged war.
Like a real Zombie, while panting, he screamed and spoke, then tries to get close on the wall of Zombies, then lean his back as if resting.
And when he does, in that two seconds of opening, the Masked Group would attack him again, claiming a single general phrase.
“Your MOD is mine!”
Apparently, Cramer thought, these masked men does not believe that he was just using some incredible build and junction, so they will do anything to get their hands on his MOD. Well, everyone is free to believe what they want to believe.
But as Cramer had actually been warning them, their attacks on him only ignites disaster and as such, the masked intruder had no choice but to retaliate.
It’s been like this for the past 30 minutes.
The same routine.
As if a fluctuating disc on a CD-player, the masked men’s seemingly endless numbers converged on him one after another. And every time that Cramer would notice that he will be hit badly, the intruder would cast that devastating attack again, bringing back the cycle of scenarios back to square one.
So far, he seemed to be a boss-level monster from a ‘Defeat the Field Boss Quest’ —only a lot harder.
At least his impression does say so.
His eyes hidden from the mask cannot be seen but the smile on his lips when he’s being attacked was a clear sign that he was enjoying it.
His attackers slowly became stronger.
From the C-ranked members of that selfish group, now to a number of B and even A-ranked players, they were all slowly gaining up their ranks and summoning strong players to fight off the evil that is the masked intruder. From his actions, he was already considered as such.
And each time that an attack came, Cramer’s heart would skip a beat for he was worried that his nemesis will be snatched away. And so he did what he needed to do. He joined the fray.
Not only him, but it seems that the FlowerLord who had a varied skill list of melee to sniping abilities, had the same exact idea as him as they both took a step, swung their weapons, and attacked the nearest Masked Man in their vicinity.
This made the attention come back to them and the enemies who successfully blocked their attacks all landed to the Masked Intruder’s territory and ended up cat food for prawns.
With just an attack on their backs, they died.
As if taking it as a challenge, the Masked Intruder finally looked at their direction and the five sided war entered round three.
From the hill of dead bodies, he jumped, with his first target being Cramer with his gold and silver embedded giant Thor. Cramer dodged his attack and twisted his body, shoulder tackled the man, then used the halberd’s grip to punch.
The Masked Intruder blocked the punch intended for his stomach and slid the handle like a water and a rock.
But surprisingly, the man lowered his head, just in time to dodge a jet black blade with a repulsive aura intended to cut his neck from behind.
When the blade missed, he kicked the ground and did a somersault, hitting Cramer on his chest and chin.
“Guh!”
Cramer let out a painful groan and saw a shadow from behind, grabbed that shadow that turned out to be a leg and used it to block another strike from jet black blade of the Dark Spear.
This action created a tremor in the air and a large impact scattered the dust and the clouds around them apart. But it wasn’t the end yet. Everything was just so fixed into the moment as Cramer used the momentum of his knocking back to turn his body around, change into the Shield, and did that Captain Ameri-chan attack, Shield Charge, that he actually met with a punch of his own.
That created another tremor and the dusts and small pebbles that was still in mid air got reduced to small particles from the shockwave of the collision.
And it was just in time that FlowerLord released ten thin black spears that actually traveled at incredible speeds towards the two from barely 15m away.
Then, that something awesome to the eyes of the spectators came. Because even without looking, just as both the men was knocked back by their colliding attacks, the Masked Intruder became blue and vanished while Cramer balled his large body and shielded himself from the Dark Spears.
How the hell did he fit himself into that tiny shield, no one can answer. It would probably become one of the unsolved mysteries of Terroa.
But when the three had come to a pause on their attacks, their panting and the silence of the people was crowded by the exploding warships and Cyclones from the sky. And when they looked up, Piranha was falling towards them like a meteor straight out of the movies.
If there was actually one thing that was beautiful in this situation, then it might actually be the fact that all of them are watching a fight that even Hollywood movies can’t comprehend to remake.

Demon Dungeon
It's a story about a demon that owns a dungeon. The dungeon has a core. The demon is a low-ranking member of an army. Expect a fun story, way too long chapters, and a mildly emotional demon.

Crossroads
On the continent of Khaan, a peculiar boy escapes from his hidden village to find a land to call home. Suppressed ambitions are unveiled as a head-strong princess defies the emperor. New kingdoms expand as the old decay. This is a story of those who lived in the times of change. Dear Reader, Thank you for stopping by! This is my first attempt at writing something of more substantial length and would be incredibly grateful to receive feedback and advice. The plan is to post at least a chapter a week and more if I find time. Also, in order to not disappoint any expectations; the story plays in a fictional world reminiscent of the real world 17th to 19th century with some supernatural elements, but no obvious magic or game-like system.

Heart of the World (LitRPG)
This is the story of how I stabbed a bear. Well... technically speaking, that became the moment my life went into a vastly different direction, all on my way to 'The Mission'. The one I had been given alongside two other seasoned players. To help people in a world with a world. But, oh hoh, that bear... Don't get me started on that. So, apart from that, here is the gist of the other part. I'm a year long employee. Though, several years before I became an employee of theirs, this crazy ensuing madness of a Full Dive battle royale between even more companies started to boil over to a breaking point. Mine thought to search for something that would truly blow the competition out of the water. Well, they found it. Deep under the sea actually. They called it a game changer. Rumors abounded of course. But the most common knowledge became that it was a power source unlike the world had ever seen. However, I can tell you now, the unknown sometimes bump back. Especially when experimenting on highly unknown elements. Still, years safely went by and thus I became a developer there. Now, what does any of this got to do with stabbing a bear? Well, ask them that! They started it all. I'm new remember! Though, chaos ensued, and well, I was there. It probably helped that I had proven myself a good fighter in game and that I had some knowledge that could help with the triplets. Oh, but my sister would box my ears if she ever realized how little time I spent learning what the other developers created in the game before I had to go in there on, 'The Mission.' So, this is a story of a mission to save the people in Realm of Ancients. Not those rookies! Oh no, that was just a precurser. AND THERE WAS THE BEAR! Sorry, I had trouble getting over it. But that specific moment changed things. -- -- Hi! This is a project I have started for the fun. This is not your typical comedy. Yes, I added quite a bit humour to the story, BUT as things go into the eye of the storm the character will face challenges that hits him down. So it is not comedy in every chapter. But what do they say, when you've hit bottom, only way to go is up! :D I am always open to suggestions that might take the story to new heights, so you all are welcome to discuss the story in the comments. Just remember the all important SPOILER tags. ;) -Omri - I'd truly appreciate if you rate the story and leave reviews as we go. ;)

HEIMDALLR
After his first life, Heimdallr felt he had lived a decent way; he wrote stories and lived a simple life, avoiding publicity and focused on promoting growth to the few who cherished his works. But after being reborn as Heimdallr Dagrsson, one of the many sons of Daesal's greatest warrior Dagr, he was put into a world devoid of wide-spread access to reading and writing. Instead, he was dropped into a world where fighting and death commonly reared their heads. Now, faced between his unsupported passion and his new life's innate talent and upbringing, he will have to find his new path. He will forge a new story that would make even himself dubious of whether or not it's fact or fable. HEIMDALLR is a story taking place in the setting created for another previous work of mine called KOBOLD. It follows a reincarnated person trying to wrestle between their old life and new life's wants and needs, all the while adapting to the situations that arise out of his control. Heimdallr starts out trying to survive and live a new life, all the while facing challenges and growth both fantastical and painfully real. Loosely inspired by Norse mythology and histories (names and some themes), spun into a fantasy, grit-rooted world. Skål! All content warning tags are applied so as to allow freedom of writing but there is no intent of excess or even regular use of these themes. Regardless of this, any and all uses will have dedicated warnings presented in the chapter whenever they are present! Reader beware!
