Li Hu Die, who was a Grandmaster ranked healer, died after being murdered by Lan Hei Kong in Sky Continent. She was reborn as Du Yu Lin, a Dark Elto who is half Dark Elf and half Troll. Unlike Elves or other creatures who use magic that have blue chi, and trolls or other creatures similar who have red chi, Du Yu Lin had purple chi. Her chi is different from anything that she, or anyone around her has seen. She meets Chief Chu, who is the head of the village she was born in. Chief Chu trains her in martial arts, and also helps with her developing chi center. While being at Chief Chu’s, she meets Li Ju Hua, who was her cousin in her previous life. She figures out that there may be a situation in Sky Continent that won’t allow her to go because she has Dark Elf blood running in her. She wishes to go anyways. She meets trouble with Chief Chu’s grandson, Chu He Lan and they end up being captured by a Dark Witch. From the Dark Witch, she receives an endless bracelet which contains books to help her in her training with magic. In the cave they are being held in, she meets with an orb who held the soul of the great hero Chang Sheng Huo. They both help each other escape the cave. She escapes with He Lan, but He Lan ends up being severely injured.

In a moment of life and death, she lets Chang Sheng Huo enter her chi center. She ends up healing He Lan, but Chang Sheng Huo then tries to take control of her body. Liang Guang Ming, a mysterious guardian, tricks Chang Sheng Huo into signing a contract and makes sure that Yu Lin is unharmed. Due to this event, Yu Lin ends up healing Chief Chu and yet she has no recollection of it. Chief Chu and Wang Pei, a healer who was brought to help her and He Lan, grows suspicious of her identity. Chief Chu ends up taking her somewhere far away where he questions her about her identity. She eventually tells Chief Chu who she really is, and the two then understand each other better.

After three years of training, she goes back but the village has changed. The villagers who were kind to her, were now treating her and her family with hostile. One night, as she goes help a woman who is hurt, she gets kidnapped. When she wakes, she finds herself next to a half eaten body. They imprison her, and someone visits her at night who gives her something to drink. When she is conscious she finds herself puking out human meat. She faints, and when she wakes again her mother, Yo Mei, is carving something on all her bones, bringing her unbearable pain.

When she wakes the next time, Chief Chu, her mother, and her are running away from their father who now seemed hypnotized. They escape to a nearby forest where her cousin, and her cousin’s husband are waiting for them. Two figures catch up to them, and they are Lan Hei Kong and the Dark Witch. Lan Hei Kong fights with Sen Feng and Chief Chu while Yo Mei fights against the Dark Witch. After the fight and breaking a stone that seemed to control Yu Lin’s father, they learned that he had been dead for a while as his body falls into pieces. Seeing Yo Mei in distress, Lan Hei Kong pushes Chief Chu and Sen Feng back. Yo Mei tries to seduce Lan Hei Kong and take him away so the others won’t get hurt, but before they leave Lan Hei Kong inserts informational chi inside of Yu Lin. Yo Mei pushes him away and also inserts informational chi inside of him as he lays there. She inserts something into Yu Lin too, before committing suicide. Lan Hei Kong takes her body away and the Dark Witch follows the two. Yu Lin ends up losing consciousness.

Yu Lin wakes up and she finds her old self sitting on the tea table. Her old self shows her painful memories, and tell her she is the fault for causing everyone around her, even herself, to die. Her old self tells her to pay for her sins and die, and she was going to until an image of Yo Mei, in a different form, shows up in front of her. Yo Mei tells not to give up and to find the “truth” about everything. Yo Mei tells her that all this is an illusion, and she ends up “killing” her old self to get out of the illusion. Her old self tells her that she is not just a fake illusion, but that she is her deepest thoughts and what she truly feels inside. Yu Lin then faints again. When she wakes, she returns to the Chu residence to find Chief Chu kneeling outside. Just before he falls, she holds onto him. Chief Chu had sacrificed himself to protect her and ends up dying in her arms.

Three days later, people there mourn during his funeral. As she goes to pay respects, Mei Rong who was one of her child friend, throws a teacup at her and tells her to get out. She ignores her and is going to bend down when He Lan grabs her shoulder and tells her to leave. She leaves and meets with Sen Feng one last time. She tells Sen Feng to protect her home and Sen Feng agrees. As she leaves the Chu residence, she meets Ju Hua. She says one final thing to Ju Hua before leaving.

Ju Hua is confused about what she just said because it is strangely similar to what Hu Die had said to her before. Just then, she meets a female servant who has Yu Lin’s old bundle with her hand writing in it. Yu Lin made a writing system just for herself so she is the only one able to read her handwriting. Ju Hua sees a character that Hu Die had showed her that represented her name and she finally realizes who Yu Lin really is. She rushes to the mountain where she is going to leave, but when she gets there Yu Lin had already disappeared with Wang Pei.
