Yu Lin they landed in a forest not that far from the village. There, Yu Lin saw Sen Feng and Ju Hua. They looked as if they haven’t slept for days. Yu Lin felt herself being gently thrown off Chief Chu’s shoulder, and she landed on her feet, her back leaning onto Ju Hua.

“Take her and run Ju Hua. Out of the all of us who are here today, she is the most vulnerable one.” Chief Chu said.

“What are you saying? I won’t leave you guys!” Yu Lin argued.

“No! You are going to leave whether you like it or not.”

“I can fight. I can help you guys!”

“No… go ri-” before Chief Chu could say anything else, the ground beneath them shook. They turned to see the dark elves standing before them. All the adults pushed Yu Lin back, as they held out their weapons. The two dark elves smirked.

“Just give us what we want, then we will leave you guys alone. Promise!” Lan Hei Kong snickered. Yo Mei bit her lips and trembled. Chief Chu stepped in front of her, hiding her behind his tall stature.

“We have nothing here to give you. Now just go on your way and leave us in peace!” Chief Chu roared. Lan Hei Kong only let out a laugh before looking up and glaring at Chief Chu.

“Give her to me. If you will… I will at least spare your life.” Lan Hei Kong’s voice seemed to send a cold chill through everyone’s body. Yo Mei’s eyes started to well up with water. She bit her lip as she began to move forward. A hand sprung out in front of her. She looked to the side to see Chief Chu shaking his head.

“Chief Chu, I have to g-”

“You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do Mrs. Du. Not with me here. Do you understand?” Chief Chu said. Tears rolled down her face as she looked at him. She nodded her head. “Ju Hua, please take Yu Lin and go.” Chief Chu yelled as he rushed towards Lan Hei Kong with Sen Feng behind him. Ju Hua pulled onto Yu Lin and started to pull her towards the other direction. Yo Mei ran after them but they couldn’t get any further as a huge wooden wall appeared in their way.

“Not so fast.” a voice said from behind them. They turned around to see Yun Hua walking towards them with a smirk on her face.

“Yun Hua…” Yo Mei glared at her.

“It’s been a long time, older sister.” Yun Hua chuckled. Yo Mei held her sword up.

“Please, take Yu Lin and run Ju Hua.” Yo Mei whispered as she moved in front of them. Ju Hua nodded her head as she pulled onto Yu Lin.

“No!” Yu Lin yelled, but she was too weak to resist.

“Not so fast!” Yun Hua yelled as she flicked her wrist. Ju Hua abruptly stopped as Chou suddenly appeared in front of them. His eyes were dimmed as they looked straight ahead. He started to run towards them with his axe above his head.

“Yu Lin!” Yo Mei yelled as she ran towards them. She felt something wrapped around her ankles before she was pulled down to the ground.

“Not so fast older sister. Your opponent is me. Hahaha!” Yun Hua laughed. Yo Mei narrowed her eyes at Yun Hua before pulling her sword out and cutting the black vine.

Ju Hua eyes widened as she saw Chou approaching them. She pushed Yu Lin away and jumped to the other side. Chou’s axe hit the ground and formed a deep crack. Yu Lin heart trembled as she swallowed hard. If that axe had hit any of them, they would have been dead. Chou easily pulled out his axe. His head snapped towards Yu Lin’s direction. When it seemed like he located her, he started to sprint towards her. Yu Lin tried to push herself up, but her limbs were shaking uncontrollably.

“Yu Lin!” Ju Hua yelled as she ran towards Chou with her sword out. Yu Lin’s chest heaved up and down as she thought about what to do. Her father marched towards her as he pulled the axe over his head. Yu Lin’s eyes shifted side to side before she shut them tightly. She swung her arm up, a thick wall of wood appearing between her and her father. With all her energy, she rolled to one side. She could hear the cracking of wood as she rolled. When she stopped, she turned to look and see the axe hanging where her head was before. The axe twitched before it slowly moved back towards her father. Yu Lin was out of energy as her head rested on the ground, dirt on smeared across her cheeks. Chou head snapped towards Yu Lin as he began to walk towards her again. Just before he could get any closer, a sword swung down across his back. He made no expression, as he turned around. Ju Hua was standing there holding her sword out towards him.

“Please Mr. Du. I don’t want to do this, please get back to your senses!” Ju Hua yelled. As if Chou was deaf and could not hear her, he picked his axe up. He swung his axe at Ju Hua, and Ju Hua dodged it. The two started to clash weapons, but each time Chou’s axe clashed with Ju Hua’s sword, Ju Hua grimaced in pain. Yu Lin’s eyes trailed past Ju Hua and Chou’s as they went to Yo Mei.

“Let my husband go! Take your disgusting curse off of him now!” Yo Mei yelled as she slashed her sword towards Yun Hua. Yun Hua only dodged as another water ball started to fly towards Yo Mei. Yo Mei jumped, avoiding the water ball. Yun Hua smiled as she held up a red stone.

“Take this away and crush it. Then your husband will be freed. If you can do that, that is! Hahaha!” Yun Hua laughed as she waved the stone in the air. Yo Mei rushed towards her, but was hit in the face with a water ball. She let out a yelp before shaking her head and swinging towards Yun Hua again. Yu Lin looked beyond them to see the Chief Chu and Sen Feng struggling to fight against Lan Hei Kong as he flew around them with a smile on his face. ‘I… need to help.’ she thought. She clenched her teeth as she pushed herself off the ground. She felt dizzy as she now sat up, her back against a tree. Just that little movement tired her out completely. She took in deep breaths as she tried to muster her strength together.

She put her hand out in front of her. From the center of her hand, a small ball of electricity was formed. It was barely visible to anyone who was not paying attention. She bit the inside of her cheek, so hard blood she could taste iron, to make her mind stay alert. The ball of electricity started to move. It moved behind the wooden wall she made earlier, past Chou and Jun Hua. It hid behind a small bush as she watched Yo Mei and Yun Hua fight.

“Hahaha! You have lost your skills older sister!” Yun Hua mocked as she kicked Yo Mei in the side. Yo Mei clenched her teeth as she swung her sword out. Yun Hua ducked, avoiding the sword. She then punched Yo Mei in the stomach, sending her flying back. Yo Mei puked out blood as she held on to her stomach. Yun Hua laughed even more as she held the stone out. “Come on sister. That lovely lady over there isn’t going to last long trying to protect your daughter.”

Just as she said this, Yu Lin heard a painful scream. She turned her attention towards the scream to see Ju Hua lying on the ground, her sword split in half. Blood trailed down her pale face. Chou did not swing towards her any longer as he turned around and started to march his way towards Yu Lin again.

“No! Yu Lin!” both Ju Hua and Yo Mei screamed. Yo Mei tried to run towards her daughter but she felt a vine pull her back.

“Didn’t I say I was your opponent older sister? Where do you think you are going? Besides, if you want to stop that stupid troll then the answer is right here.” Yun Hua waved the stone in front of Yo Mei’s face. Yo Mei glared at her before letting out a cry and sprinting towards her. Yun Hua only smirked as she watched Yo Mei come.

Yu Lin narrowed her eyes. Her heart was pounding underneath her ribcage as she saw Chou get closer and closer. She focused all her attention towards Yun Hua. Yun Hua dodged Yo Mei’s sword before hitting Yo Mei back. Yo Mei let out another cry as she ran towards Yun Hua again, to which Yun Hua only smirked. ‘This is it!’ Yu Lin thought as she saw her mother at the right distance with her sword up. The small ball of electricity grew to the size of a fist as it rammed right into Yun Hua’s back. Yun Hua let out a yelp as her eyes rolled up and her body started to shake.

The red stone fell out of her fingers onto the ground. Yo Mei swung her sword down and sliced the Yun Hua’s right shoulder before kicking her out of the way. She picked up the red stone and turned her head towards Yu Lin’s direction. Chou was only two steps away. Yo Mei swallowed hard as she crushed the stone underneath her fingers. Chou stopped moving, and the axe fell from his hand. Yu Lin looked up at her father.

“Father.” she breathed out. Chou’s head hung down low and light started to return to his red eyes. He blinked before looking into Yu Lin’s red eyes.

“Yu… Lin?” he muttered. Yu Lin smiled, relieved.

“Yes, it’s me fath-” Yu Lin could say no more as cold liquid splattered into her face. Her eyes shut instinctively. Her lips trembled as she tasted iron and a putrid stench entered her nose. She opened her eyes to see her father’s body parts spread out across the red stained field before her. His fingers, toes, arms, legs, everything was disconnected as blood dripped out of them. His decapitated head laid there before her with his red eyes rolled up. Her body twitched, before it trembled, before it began to shake.

“Ah… ah… ahhh!” she screamed. “No!” hot tears rushed down her face, against the cold blood.

“Chou!” Yo Mei yelled as she ran towards them. She reached the area, her feet just barely touching the red stained puddle on the ground. “Chou… no… this can’t be… Chou…” she fell to her knees.

“Hahahaha!” Yun Hua laughed from behind them. “He’s been dead. Hahaha! He was already dead you idiots! Hahahaha!” Yo Mei couldn’t hear her as she reached out to Chou’s head.

“Chou…” she breathed out. Yun Hua smirked before snapping a finger. The head that laid in front of Yo Mei bursted into pieces before she could touch it. A piece landed on her slapped her cheek. She reached towards it before bringing her fingers back. She saw the piece of brain, of memories, of a person she loved in between her fingers. Tears rolled down her face. She looked to the side to see her daughter shaking her head, silenced from shock. “No… this wasn’t suppose to happen. I was going to be happy… I was going to live again…” Yo Mei muttered.

-

At this moment, when the man’s blue eyes saw Yo Mei’s expression, one side of his mouth went up. He flung his wrist and the two man in front of him flew back, slamming onto the ground besides Yu Lin. Blood involuntarily splattered out of their mouths. The man hovered above the ground as he landed behind Yo Mei. He held his hand out.

“Let them live.” he heard Yo Mei said. He looked down. “Let them live… please… if you do, I will do whatever you want me to. I won’t run away again… please let them go.” the woman in front of him begged. He felt his face flushed as a feeling of pleasure spread throughout his body.

“Whatever I want?” he licked his lips. Yo Mei stood up, blocking his view of Yu Lin. She put her hand on his, pushing it down. She walked up to him and planted her lips on his.

He closed his eyes, letting out a small moan as he wrapped his arms around her curvaceous body. He forced his tongue into her mouth, moving his hand up and down her body. He ripped away at her robes and squeezed her bare breast. He pushed his body against her, feeling all of her, everywhere at the same time. His other hand traveled down to her behind as he gripped them tightly. He pulled back and looked into her eyes. He smiled as he brushed her hair back.

“Didn’t I tell you Yo Mei? If you ever leave me, I will find you and make sure to take away what is yours as punishment?”

The woman looked up at him and smiled, yet tears continued to flow down her cheeks.

“Nothing here is mine anymore. You can take me now.” she said. He smiled as one of his hands went in between her legs. She froze, her eyes widened, and that made him more excited.

“You’re right, let’s go have more fun than this somewhere else.” he whispered into her ear. He pulled his hand out and wrapped it around her shoulder, his back turned on the rest of them. The two started to walk away, but he abruptly stopped. “But… we can’t forget this, can we?” he hissed before turning around.

“No!” Yo Mei screamed as she went after him. She was too late.

-

Yu Lin saw the dark finger coming her way. She couldn’t react in time as pushed her forehead back and she hit the ground. She felt informational chi enter her body along with an unbearable hot pain. She let out a scream.

Yo Mei screamed as she pushed the man away. Two of her fingers landed on his forehead as he let out a scream and started to tremble on the ground. Yo Mei ran up to her daughter.

“No! No! Not this! Not this again!” she cried. She hugged her shaking daughter. She breathed in and out, before pulling her daughter back. She closed her eyes and concentrated on something before placing a finger on Yu Lin’s forehead. After that she held Yu Lin’s face and shook her. “Yu Lin! Look at me! Look at mother!” she cried.

Yu Lin tried her hardest to focus as she grabbed onto her mother’s arm.

“We don’t have much time left. You got to survive this! No matter what happens, you have to survive this! But… if you can’t, it’s okay. Mother will understand. Father will understand. If you can’t survive this… mother and father will be waiting for you. We will see you again somewhere far from here... I love you my daughter.” Yo Mei said. Yu Lin didn’t understand.

“Wha… what?” she breathed.

“I love you Yu Lin. I love you.” Yo Mei said again. Yo Mei turned her head to see Lan Hei Kong’s trembling lessen.

“Yo Mei!” he screamed. She stood up from her spot.

“Even if I slice my throat, I will not escape from you. You will find some way to bring me back. There is only one way to leave you for good.” she said. Lan Hei Kong’s eyes widened as he shook his head.

“No! Anything but that! Anything but that Yo Mei!” he screamed.

“This… is your punishment Lan Hei Kong. You will never have me. Never.” she hissed. Yo Mei closed her eyes. A light emitted from her body before her chest sprung up. Blood seeped out from her mouth, her eyes, her ears, and her nostrils as she fell to the ground, her lips curled up. She landed in the blood stained puddle beneath her.

“No!” Lan Hei Kong’s voice pierced through everyone’s head as he screamed. Yu Lin shook her head. The connection she had felt with her mother, the connection to indicate that she knew where her mother was and that she was alive… it disappeared. Tears streamed down her face as she reached her hand out to her mother.

Lan Hei Kong sprung up from the ground and ran towards Yo Mei. He picked her body up and held to his body.

“No! No! No! Yun Hua! Yun Hua!” he screamed. Yun Hua limped up to him.

“Yes master?” she asked as she held onto her stomach.

“We need to bring her back. We need to bring her back! Do you understand?!” he screamed.

“Yes. I understand.” Yun Hua said. Lan Hei Kong picked up Yo Mei’s body, putting a hand under her knees and one under her back. He started to walk away with Yun Hua behind them.

“No… leave her… leave my mother behind.” Yu Lin muttered, her voice hoarse and barely audible. The two dark grey figures did not pay her any attention as they started to hover into the sky, getting smaller and smaller into the distance. “No.” Yu Lin reached her hand out. Her eyelids felt heavy, against her will as they began to close shut. “No… no…” she could only say as they disappeared and darkness engulfed her.

------------

Yu Lin opened her eyes. She looked up to see the familiar bed ceiling above her. ‘Where am I?’ she thought. ‘Father and mother!’ Memories suddenly flooded her mind as she sprung up from her bed. She moved too fast, causing her head to spin. She held her head to calm herself down.

“Hello.” a lovely voice called out. The voice was eerily familiar. She froze. The dizziness stopped as she slowly turned her head. Sitting on a chair next to the tea table with her arms crossed was a beautiful young looking woman. The woman looked to be about twenty years old, with long dark shiny hair and light brown eyes. The woman smiled at Yu Lin, showing off her dimples. Yu Lin blinked, not believing her eyes.

“What… is this?” Yu Lin scratched her cheek to only wince. The woman giggled.

“This isn’t a dream you idiot!” she said. Yu Lin shook her head.

“No… it has be. You’re… you’re…”

“That’s right,” the woman stood up from the chair, her smile gone as she stared coldly down at Yu Lin, “I am Li Hu Die… and you’re… a monster.”
