《The Dark Elto Du Yu Lin》Chapter 30: The Contract

“Yu Lin!” Chief Chu ran up to her and tried to grab her arm. When his hand touched her skin though he retracted it and winced. He looked at his hand and could see a blister started to form as if he just got burnt. He looked up to see steam rising out from Yu Lin’s body. ‘Just what is going on?’ He thought as he stared wide-eyed, unsure of what to do.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chang Sheng Huo grinned as he bath in Yu Lin’s purple chi. His soul danced in the rich chi energy as he looked like he did before he was human. His face looked like an average human man, however the strong muscles on his arms and face showed his true strength.
“Soon, this body will be mine. Soon, I can continue my cultivation where I left… though it will suck to be a girl, it’s better than nothing.” He chuckled. His laughter didn’t last for long as the scenery around him began to change. “What the heck?!” He stood up and looked around him. The purple chi energy disappeared and he was now in a completely white room.
“Get out.” A voice hissed and Sheng Huo turned around to see a woman with golden eyes and black hair floating down in front of him. He smiled when he saw her voluptuous figure, however quickly snapped himself back together.
“Who are you?” He yelled back as he raised an eyebrow.
“This girl belongs to me. Now get out!” Guang Ming yelled. Sheng Huo slid back a couple feet as he felt an overwhelming pressure push him. He smiled and a trail of blood leaked out of his mouth and dripped down towards his chin.
“I don’t want to.” He laughed with blood stained teeth before releasing a pressure towards Guang Ming. Guang Ming waved her hand and the pressure disappeared. Her eyebrows rose when she felt the familiar aura. “Besides, if this girl was yours, why didn’t you take her already? Could it be… you don’t have enough strength to?” Sheng Huo watched Guang Ming as she looked up at him. When he saw that she didn’t reply he only laughed some more. “I must be right then. Hahaha! Hahaha!”
“You… you have white chi energy.” Guang Ming looked at Sheng Huo with curious eyes. Sheng Huo stopped laughing when he heard this and he swallowed hard.
“N-n-no. My chi e-e-energy is just more… u-unique then others.” Sheng Huo stammered out.
“Do not lie, I know white chi energy when I feel it.” Guang Ming took a step forward and Sheng Huo nervously took a step back. “Tell me, how did you learn how to get white chi energy?”
“I already told you, I don’t have white chi energy!” Sheng Huo yelled back. Guang Ming squinted her eyes and wondered if she should torture him to find out, however she felt that no matter what she did he was not going to speak.
“Alright then, you don’t need to tell me… but, know that this body you are trying to get will burst into ashes the moment you take over it.” Guang Ming nonchalantly said. A memory flashed through Sheng Huo’s mind before his jaw dropped. “That’s right, that was why your body also bursted into ashes when you used white chi energy for the first time.” Guang Ming said. Sheng Huo looked up shocked.

“How did you know?”
“White chi energy, it’s not for the brainless to use. That’s why, as a defense mechanism the creatures who created it made sure that any other creature who used it will die.”
“Then… what do I do?”
“You… just get out. Why kill a child for your selfish needs if your selfish needs are going to fail?” Guang Ming’s words were ice cold. Sheng Huo clenched his teeth. ‘Damnit! I waited for five thousand years just to die?’
“Then what do I do?! I just wanted to become the strongest human alive!” Sheng Huo yelled and pulled his hair back in anger. Guang Ming smirked as she saw the man go rampant. ‘Stupid human… wait… white chi energy… maybe… that’s right why can’t I just make him help us instead.’ Guang Ming smiled.
“Do you want to really to live again?”
“Of course!”
“Then, I will grant your wish.”
“Huh?! You?! You can grant my wish?!” Sheng Huo blurted out as he looked at her suspiciously. Guang Ming smiled before disappearing and then showing up right in front of Sheng Huo.
“Of course.” She whispered with seductive eyes. Sheng Huo blushed as he smelt her sweet fragrance. “I am… a very a powerful being. If you sign a contract with me, I promise to fulfill your wish.” Guang Ming set her hand on his shoulder. Sheng Huo trembled before a perverted smug appeared on his face.
“Hehe… alright… what are the clauses?”
“Easy… help this girl out. When she needs you, lent her your strength.”
“Strength?”
“Yes… your strength. In the future she will be faced with many battles, when that time comes… help her.”
“Hehe. Is that all?”
“Yes.” Guang Ming leaned her face closer to Sheng Huo. Sheng Huo was grinning ear to ear now, but the grin immediately disappeared off his face as he looked at Guang Ming with cold eyes.
“But, how can I trust you?” He hissed. Guang Ming raised an eyebrow before smirking. ‘Well at least he isn’t that easy to manipulate.’ She thought as she raised her hand up in the air.
“Guess what this is?” A white ball of chi energy suddenly appeared in her hand. Sheng Huo’s eyebrows went up as his jaw dropped.
“This… y-y-you have wh-whi-white chi energy?” He stammered out.
“Of course. If I didn’t, would I make this kind of contract with you?” Guang Ming smiled. ‘N-n-no way. Who is this lady?’ Sheng Huo thought. “This lady is the only lady that can grant your wish.”
“Aah! Don’t read my mind!”
“I’m not reading your mind, I’m reading your face, handsome.” Guang Ming winked at Sheng Huo. The corners of Sheng Huo lips started to go up but he quickly shook his head.
“Then, give me a body right now. If you don’t then I will just kill this girl off.” Sheng Huo crossed his arms, closed his eyes, and raised his chin up. Guang Ming glared at him for a second before smiling.

“Why? If you do this then it will be beneficial for you too.” Guang Ming playfully hit his hard chest. Sheng Huo opened one eye and looked down at the beautiful woman standing in front of him.
“What do you mean beneficial?”
“Think about it. You’ve been asleep for five thousand years. Think about how things had changed over the years that you’ve been asleep! If you go out now, you’re going to look like an idiot. So just stay inside of Yu Lin and learned how the world is first.”
“I will deal with that when it comes to it. Now give me the body or else I’m going to kill this girl off!” Sheng Huo closed his eye and turned his head away. One of Guang Ming’s eye twitch as she felt the urge to hit him. ‘This stubborn idiot. It sucks even more that I can’t kill him! Shall I just torture him until he leaves? No no no… I can’t do that. I would be wasting too much energy on something useless. What should I do?! Wait… maybe… hehe…’
Sheng Huo did not like being tied down to something as he would rather much be free. Of course he did consider what Guang Ming said, but he just thought that he’ll deal with it when the moment came. He waited for Guang Ming to answer but no answer came. ‘What’s with this woman? Does she not want the girl to live?’ He thought as he slightly opened his eyes to peek at Guang Ming. His eyes opened fully though when he saw a back of a woman with her shoulders shaking.
“O-o-oi!” He grabbed her shoulder and turn her around. When he did he saw tears fly through the air as the woman had a painful expression on as she was quietly whimpering. His mouth hung open as he didn’t know what to say. He started to feel a little guilty inside.
“S-s-sorry. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to… I…” Guang Ming covered her eyes with her hands as she cried.
“What’s wrong?” Sheng Huo gently grabbed both of her shoulders.
“It’s just… it’s just… even if I wanted to help you now… I can’t… I’m… I’m trapped…”
“What? Trapped?”
“Yes… a long time ago… a man… he sealed me inside of a cave… only my consciousness is still here… my body is still sleeping in that cave… that’s why I need someone to save me… I need this girl to save me…” Guang Ming said through sniffles. Sheng Huo instantly felt bad for trying to take advantage of the helpless, beautiful woman in front of him.
“Is that so?”
“Un… will you help her save me?” Guang Ming looked up at Sheng Huo with big, golden, puppy eyes. Sheng Huo immediately nodded his head.
“Of course! As long as you can give me a body at the end of the day, then I will.” Sheng Huo remembered to throw in his benefit from this trade. Guang Ming smiled a sweet smile at him as if he was her only savior.
“Then, please eject some of your chi energy through your thumb here.” A long scroll suddenly appeared in front of Sheng Huo. Sheng Huo glanced down at it nervously as he couldn’t read the characters. Of course he couldn’t read it, it was written in ancient elf language. Sheng Huo wanted to check the writing to make sure he was agreeing to the right contract.
“This… can you do it in the human writing?” He pointed down at the scroll. Guang Ming frowned as she looked back up at him with puppy eyes.
“You… you don’t believe me?” Guang Ming asked as tears began to well up in her eyes.
“N-n-n-no! Of course I believe you. Look!” Sheng Huo pressed his thumb down onto the edge of the scroll where his name laid in human characters. As soon as his chi energy touched the scroll, the scroll disappeared into thin air. “See! So don’t worry lady, I will help this girl help you.” Sheng Huo cheerfully said with a smile. The edges of Guang Ming’s lips curved up as she looked triumphantly at Sheng Huo.
“Id-i-ot!” She stuck her tongue out at him. Sheng Huo’s eyes widened as he suddenly felt that he just got scammed.
“What?!”
“The contract you just agreed to said that you will obey every one of my commands, whether you like it or not, until you and Yu Lin manage to find me. Haha! Now, stop trying to take over the body and just go to sleep for a bit!” Guang Ming waved her hand up and Sheng Huo started to float up into the air further away from Guang Ming.
“Hey! This isn’t what you told me earlier!” Sheng Huo yelled.
“So what? You basically did the same thing to Yu Lin just now didn’t you? Don’t you know that you reap what you sow? Haha! Anyways, don’t worry as long as you help me and Yu Lin until the end, I promise to give you a body so you can continue to train to become the strongest human!” Guang Ming smiled and waved her hand.
“Hey! You snake! You witch! I bet even the story about you being sealed away in the cave is also a lie now huh?! You damn woman! I should’ve never believe you!” Sheng Huo screamed before he disappeared. The smile disappeared from Guang Ming’s face as her hand drop back down to her side.
“I wish it was just a lie…” She said as she looked into the void space with distant eyes.
