CLAN’S FALL (I)
Lynne stood calmly on the street, looking at the distant sky. Taking in a deep breath, he extended his right arm whereupon a familiar, massive scythe appeared within his hand. A moment later, his blue eyes began shimmering golden as similarly colored wings of flame sprouted on his back. The wings glowed like the sun itself as he swayed them gently back and forth, taking to the air. Y’se had hidden in one of the monkey’s Spacial Locks, waiting for the time Lynne would need help.
His Heart, Mind and Soul were at complete peace as the city beneath him grew distant. As he reached the zenith, he swung his scythe upward and tore open a gush in the sky, as black as nothingness itself. The gash began spitting out blazing flames in a massive downpour. Alarms suddenly began ringing throughout Han Clan as all eyes took to the sky, seeing the solitary figure hovering there, a scythe in his hand, his entire body engulfed in golden flames.
“WHO DARES?!!” an elderly, deep shout came from within the city as a figure emerged from the masses. Lynne glanced at the source and saw it was the First Elder. “YOU!!! YOU WILL PAY!!” the Elder screamed as a massive shield made out of silver appeared in his hands.
“Doubt it.” Lynne mumbled to his jaw as he locked onto the Elder and spun downward like a comet.
The scythe in his hand danced around like a serpent, parrying the incoming projectiles from the groups that had formed to defeat him, in addition to spitting out black and white flames. Lynne and the Elder collided, causing a massive explosion; the Elder’s angry face quickly turned sour and shocked as he felt the impact of Lynne’s strength. The shield in his hand exploded into pieces as he was blown backwards like a cannonball, crashing into one of the towers in the city.
Flames were slowly taking over the entire dwelling of the Clan and screams of agony and pain echoed into the night. Ignoring the Elder, Lynne spun around and locked onto a nearby group of Empyrean Mages, smirking at them. The smirk caused shivers to run down their spines, but none retreated.
The scythe in Lynne’s hand cried out like a hell-bound slave, causing Souls of others to quake in terror, before it suddenly grew to nearly half a kilometer in size. Lynne clasped his hands together as the gold of his body switched its hue over to pure white. Skyfire danced like an obedient child around him as visages of Dragons and Phoenixes formed around his body, rising up above to coil around the Scythe.
“Will Divine,” Lynne muttered as he opened his eyes; much like flames, they were pure white – causing his features to look rather eerie. “Skyfire Rhapsody.”
The scythe seemingly exploded into pieces as the Dragons and Phoenixes screeched out in joy, blowing apart. Volcanic shower of white ensued, as white flames toppled the dark sky, causing the people on the ground to close their eyes; some out of blinding light, some out of awe, some out of pure terror. Surrounded by the washing Skyfire, Lynne appeared invisible, yet he traveled with them as their heart, aiming straight for the ground. The First Elder had finally recovered and, seeing the Skyfire devour the dwelling, his eyes widened in shock as he screamed.

“RUN!! RUN!!!”
However, it was too late. Lynne crashed directly into the heart of the dwelling, causing an explosion akin to a realm collide. Shockwave blast open a gigantic crater in the earth, as everything within ten miles radius went up in a series of explosions and blinding flames. Both the sky and the earth were devoured in pure white. Not even corpses were left behind as white flames continued to devour everything in their wake.
From within the epicenter, a solitary figure arose, still wreathed in white like an angel. The First Elder’s jaw was agape as he stared at Lynne, the former’s entire body quaking subconsciously. He wanted to run away, but he knew it was hopeless. There was only one choice now: for their Patriarch to arrive. As though his prayers were answered, a thunder boomed in the sky as lightning converged from the depths, transforming into a short, old man.
He glanced indifferently at the gigantic crater – a place where once a city stood – and still burning white flames, before switching his gaze over to a youth who stared right back at him.
“… what is the meaning of this?” the False God asked, frowning slightly.
“Ah, sorry,” Lynne said, smiling apologetically. “I was taking a shit, but then I sneezed and farted at the same time… I can pay for the destruction.”
“… you think this is a laughing matter?” the False God said, his frown deepening.
“… do I look like I’m laughing?” Lynne said, his smile vanishing in place of a completely cold and indifferent face. “Did you come here to chat or die?”
“A mere breast-feeding child who barely ascended wants to fight me? Ha ha. This, indeed, is a laughing matter.” the old man said as he burst out in laughter; by the end, his entire body was wreathed in azure bolts of lightning. “Come, then, boy. Show me how I’ll die today.”
“…”
Lynne merely smiled lightly before summoning the scythe back into his hand, spinning it lightly as though warming up his arm. Without warning, he tore open the space in front of him and pushed through, reappearing behind the bolt-surrounded old man. The scythe swiped in a beautiful arc, spewing out white flames, as the old man suddenly became a source of a massive thunder, his body disappearing from the spot and reappearing next to Lynne.
A bolt as thick as a thigh fell from the sky directly toward Lynne’s head as the old man flanked from the side. Still midway through his swing, Lynne grit his teeth and forcibly pulled back his scythe as black wings sprung out of his back, spitting out thread-sized flames which surrounded Lynne spherically, encasing him a black sphere. The bolt and the old man struck, causing a massive explosion in the sky as azure of lightning and black of flames intertwined in grand flashes of light in the sky.

Among them, two traceless flickers bounced far off and far in against one another, as Lynne swept apart space itself with his scythe while the old man turned the nightly sky into heavenly dome of lightning. Bolts never stopped piercing toward Lynne, who already had several holes scattered about his body. However, he completely ignored them as he continued onward, chasing wherever the old man would bolt to.
After a missed swipe, Lynne grunted lowly as the scythe in his hand suddenly split into two, the second one appearing in his other hand. One scythe was wreathed in Skyfire while the other was blazing doomed Hellfire. His black wings swayed forth as he pierced through the space, spinning midair as Skyfire and Hellfire mingled together like lovers, wheeling around Lynne while sending massive, arc-shaped gushes of flames with each swing.
Much like Lynne, the old man felt the pressure, as his entire right shoulder was charred black from the burn. His expression was serious and cold as he constantly sent forth bolts of lightning toward Lynne, but the latter just kept ignoring them like a madman. He pushed onward, and, for a moment, the False God truly believed Lynne had gone completely mad; however, he glanced into the latter’s eyes, and he only saw tranquility and peace. Just as he was about to bolt away once again, Hellfire-bound scythe managed to swathe his right arm, causing blood to spurt out like a fountain while Hellfire found its way into the False God’s veins.
Without a single moment of hesitation, the old an ripped his arm right off and threw it as he continued to dodge. He spun in a circle, evading a double downward swipe of the scythes, suddenly exploding outwardly into a brilliant, starlit show of lightning.
The sky was completely encased in the azure color, while the world boomed out into the sound of endless thunder. Lynne screamed out in pain momentarily as he felt every inch of his body burn with painful sensation. His entire body was bleeding as he grit his teeth, ignoring the alarms ringing throughout.
“So fucking be it.” he mumbled as both scythes disappeared, forging into a gigantic one – twice the size of the one he used to destroy the city.
He pushed out Mana in droves, his entire body bulging like a mountain. Clasping his hands once again, instead of Dragons and Phoenixes, a visage of a featureless figure appeared behind him. Both a human and not, the figure had nothing to distinguish it from anyone else. However, the False God immediately felt deep-ingrained reverence, his body freezing as his jaw grew agape.
“… you… how?! HOW?!!” the False God said as he bit his lip, forcing back his consciousness.
While Lynne’s entire visage grew transparent as flames whither than the color itself grew unbound, the False God clasped his hands as well, his tiny figure suddenly transforming and growing, bit by bit, as bolts’ thickness increased as well. The scythe cried out like a sorrowful child, sending shockwaves throughout the sky which ripped the space open wherever they touched; soon enough, there was only nothingness above, and stars further away, glimmering in all their solitary glory. The unbound white of flames dawned upon the scythe, beautifying him while its sorrowful cries grew louder and louder.
Opposite of it a gigantic figure slowly began emerging, donned in scaled, azure armor, and a pair of cold eyes constantly spitting out bolts of lightning. One of its gigantic front arms was missing, but that took a little away from its awe-inspiring figure. Just as the False God regained his true form, Lynne opened his eyes; they were completely bloodshot as he felt his entire body drained of strength. His breathing was short and ragged, yet he still forced himself to release the clasp and swing his wings once more.
The scythe bellowed one last time as it fell horizontally and began spinning faster and faster, donned in graceful white. Like a gigantic saw encased in flames, scythe pushed onward while Lynne rode atop of it, his blood-stained robe and hair fluttering backwards, giving him demonic appearance.
“Source Divine,” he mumbled weakly. “Ashes to Ashes.”
Opposite of the massive, burning scythe, twice as large bolt of lightning appeared atop the creature’s back, spinning roundly as to gain the momentum. Y’se stared at the spectacle down below and realized that, even if she wanted to, she had no way of helping Lynne. This had gone beyond the battles of Divine Mages she had seen before, or even dreamt of. If it continues, there’s a chance that the entire realm might get dragged into it. Yet, no matter how much she tried to contact Lynne, it appeared as though he had shut off everyone and everything off outside himself and the False God. Just before the collision, Y’se closed her eyes, fearful of the outcome. What little survivors remained after Lynne’s destruction of the city, despite having fled immediately, came to a halt and turned around, unable to look away from the sky.
Scythe spun while crying and bolt pushed forth like a gigantic finger meant to desecrate the world. White and azure had already began eclipsing one another even before the two attacks met. Lynne stared calmly at the incoming bolt, as though it was a mere needle. Just before the collision, he smiled lightly and clasped his hands yet again, shifting the World itself into disarray.
