Chapter 88: Dawn Of Rebellion
In the slave city of Everon was a system of slavery long perfected. There were the Armbec, trained as slave soldiers, the Robec, trained as servants, and the Erobec, train as sex slaves.
The city of Everon, the slave city, was always bustling and that day was no different. "orders from capital sir." A tall lanky man entered a small office decorated with wooden trinkets and shiny bells. "the capital has requested 1000 Erobec slaves." The boss's eyes furrowed, and his lips formed a stern frown. "we couldn't train enough Erobec slaves this year, our resources have been dedicated to Armbec training. It's impossible to provide that many at the last minute" the boss's expression was dark, "dammit, give them whatever we can and then send some slavers to any neighboring villages for the rest."
“sir. We’ve already taken many of the men, if we take the women, there won’t be anyone to tend to the farms.”
“DO IT!!!”
The following days were met with disgruntled cries and angered villagers. In a certain village, six men were executed for resisting the taking of their wives. One soldier would later recount the sense of dread he felt as he left that village. "their eyes were like those of a vengeful tiger, ready to pounce at any moment. His joyful laughter couldn't hide the immense fear he felt remembering that awful week, which would embed itself so deeply that only death eventually allowed him to forget.
On October 15th in the sixth Everon district, known by the noble rulers as the Robec quarters, the district administrator, since early that morning, had been flooded by countless of complaints about disobedient slaves.
"Sir Rode, Sir Marek, Ms. Tambo…" the Robec in charge of helping the district administrator read the long list of complaints by the many nobles living in the district. The administrator had unwittingly begun to pull his hair and would frequently, superfluously, rearrange the small wooden animals on his desk.
“What the hell is happening!!!”
The Robec, who had been calmly reading the list, smiled. It was a malicious smile, one reminiscent of a vengeful cat who had caught a mouse's tail. "the inevitable." The Robec said in the low hum that shook the administrator's bones. The Robec pulled a blade from his black coat pocket and commenced a slow meticulous walk towards his prey.

"I order you to stop!!!" The Robec smile grew wider as he used his free hand to pull upon his slave collar and tore it clean off his neck. "I am a slave no longer." His voice broke the administrator's spirit and the pathetic man's legs failed him.
“For my daughter.” Were the last words the administrator would ever hear.
The districts besides the Robec quarters would only hear the blooded screams of countless victims. Some would later claim that blood flowed like a river through several districts; and those who saw it from above, within their ivory towers, claimed it was like orchid formed by blood. That horrible week would later be known as the Blood Orchid rebellion, a rebellion that would never be forgotten. It was a precursor to the rise of that being who for a long time hence would only be spoken about in quiet whispers and secret meetings, "The Demon King".
However, it was certain that it was that war that would also eventually grant him the title, “King of Monsters.”
It wasn’t an accident. The rebellion was a meticulously calculated outcome, planned by three people. Hera, Thoth, and the mastermind behind those bloody days that followed, Scitus. From his very first encounter with Mern, he had planned, he had sent Thoth across the border to infiltrate Mern’s nation.
“First, you will take a noble’s place. Gain the trust of your citizens and slowly convince them of a secret rebel alliance. After that, take as many nobles as you can and pretend to be them, with your replication ability it shouldn’t be impossible to mimic at least a dozen or so nobles.
"what about Mern's sense of hostility? Or his ability to see through his subjects.
“Sia has proven that it isn’t impossible to fool a god, especially in a bigger nation: As long as you’re not in his direct presence, it should be safe.
"The second phase is to learn as much as you can of their slave magic. send any notes to Hera and she can rewrite them here for Sia to decrypt.
“Finally, we will build the confidence of the many slaves little by little until they trust the ‘rebellion’ and it is then that you will slowly break their slave enchantments. Or rather make them easily breakable enchantments

“that should be enough for the first part.”
Even his own children found that his meticulous plans astounding.
In the span of a single week, Mern had lost Everon and more importantly, with it, he had lost the garden territory. Mern quickly learned what had transpired by the surviving nobles but the countless villages heard even faster by method of magic communication. The rebel's roots were far deeper than Mern imagined.
Before Mern could even move his armies, countless numbers of slaves and villages slowly moved closer towards Everon like a slow but massive tidal wave.
Mern shifted his armies and then ordered for the mages in his kingdom to reinforce the slave enchantment placed on all the slaves in the remainder of his kingdom, these mages worked tirelessly day and night, starting with the Armbec slaves and moving onto the robecs and finally the erobecs. On normal days their supply of mana would end after only a few men and women, however, Mern dipped into his massive reserves and provided them with ample mana to perform the thousands of spells necessary to contain his populace. Even then, Mern sent out only his most trusted armies and sent most of the robec to guard the outskirts of remote villages, to prevent any uprisings or escapes from his controlled territory.
The overseer watching over these events couldn't help but wonder the outcome. The overseer on Mern's side was a young man from Miar's personal army. On Scitus's side was a young woman with a thin but muscular build, she was one of the heroes under Miar's personal army. Semar was her name and she paraded herself like royalty all about Scitus’s kingdom and followed him closely as if trying to discover some non-existent malevolent plan.
However, as the events unfolding in Mern's territory continued, Scitus seemed to calmly continue his routine of counting his supply of food and the durability of the shelters he had made for his people. People inside the city had grown accustomed to Scitus and even kindly greeted him or bowed to him whenever they saw him. He busied himself with the governmental work that he had originally charged Seresa with helping and reviewing; with her gone, he was forced to do many things himself. He already missed his precious assistant as the paperwork piled up. He wrote down new laws, upon new laws and helped with the opening of the first courthouse which was overseen by the first judge, Judge Maximus Ukerdin. With the beginning of bureaucracy also came a need for last names, the last names rather than by inheritance at that time, started out by tribe. Maximus's tribe gained the title Ukerdin which roughly translated to, God's chosen children. Such an outlandish title was granted to his tribe by the other races and tribes because it had become well known that his tribe had successfully summoned Scitus unto that world, a feat never seen before. Scitus had some disagreement with the title but let it pass in the end as there were some other strange titles as well, like the Mekar tribe, the tribe which Alexander belonged to. Mekar, along with a few dances, translated to, "slayer of titans?" Scitus asked himself. Alexander firmly nodded, "yes, my tribe descends from a legendary tribe that was said to once rule all of the oasis. You see, while most tribes migrated here, by tribe did not, we've always been here."
Sia’s eyes glittered with wonderment as she connected many dots in her head and nodding with satisfaction. “does the story ring any bells to you.” Sia smiled widely, “not at all!!” she proudly proclaimed as she proceeded to relay some information given to her by Thoth.
"I see, so it's time for the second phase of the plan" Scitus's eyes coldly gleamed in the darkness. "Send out the soldiers' notice."
"This is going to be bloody."
