Chapter 60: Fire And Ice

To the north of the Kingdom of monsters dwelled two mighty Kingdoms. Ignas and Gelos. Of all kingdoms in the oasis, the most mysterious were these two kingdoms; to the west side was Ignas, a kingdom of fire the burned ever brightly long into the night and high into the day. To the east was the kingdom of Gelos, an everlasting frost covered the kingdom and a deep silence shrouded it in mystery.

Although these two nations were mysterious, one thing was known by all the continent.

"VER TASH GOETA!!!" The fiery Behemoth raised his mighty fire blade. "VER TASH GOETA!!" thousands of fiery sprites shouted in unison as they charged towards the icy kingdom of Gelos. Their phrase roughly translated to, "FOR OUR VICTORY!!!"

To the east was a similarly large army composed by tiny ice like creatures all led by a singular gargantuan ice creature.

"SEMERA TU KAST!!! " The ice army charged forward on majestic ice horses as their enemies rode on fiery wyverns. The ice creatures' words roughly translated to," for the glory of our Kingdom."

The moment of their clash of a pillar of steam and smoke rose high into the sky and clouded the sun in hot vapor.

The ice warriors on their majestic ice stallions tore through the tiny fire sprites like paper, all the while the firey wyverns turned all who opposed their might to steam. Frightened cries and fierce roars covered the battlefield as the battle raged on.

The two gargantuan beasts met head-on. The Ice behemoth, with an icy fist, tore through the fire behemoths side, audible steam poured from the both of them as the fire titan spit fire onto the ice behemoths face, melting its delicate features to nothing.

"VERAK!!!!" the fire giant shouted, the ice giant's eyes widened as he desperately attempted to shield his subordinates, but it was already too late, with a sudden flash, everything in a five-meter radius turned to either steam or ash.

"TOSA KAT VELKI!!!!" the ice giant shouted as if the fire titan had committed some grave crime. The fire army's size grew a few inches taller after the titan's attack and this newly strengthened army began easily tearing through the ice army's soldiers.

The ice giant remained still, allowing his people to be slaughtered when suddenly, just as he was going to unleash his ultimate attack, he sensed a dramatic change in the world. As a being made of ice, he had some extra sensory perception when it came to the cold and for a brief moment he felt the temperature change to the far south, if not for his ice totems near the kingdom of monsters, he would not have felt it but in an instant the temperature had grown so cold that even his ice totem shattered. “voras na-tu?” he asked himself as if unable to comprehend what had occurred. His eyes shifted back to the fire giant who had a similar look in his eyes. While the fire sprites fought amongst themselves, the two leaders had completely stopped, but the first to move again was ice giant who had taken the opportunity to unleash his own killer move.

"Torak." The giant bellowed as a seemingly endless swarm of ice particles left his mouth and spread a chilling cold to all the surroundings, liquefying for a few moments even the air. Little rain droplets made of pure oxygen and hydrogen dropped atop the little fire sprites, tearing through their tiny flame bodies.

There is a saying of many in the Oasis, “do not enter the Elemental territory.” Something that even the nearby gods would heed. Elementals were creatures originally born in the elemental planes but for some strange reason, the elementals of fire and ice dwelled in the oasis unrestricted. They spread death in their wake as only a few creatures could withstand the polar temperatures. They had lived in the oasis for so long that some fire flowers and ice trees began to sprout a little over a hundred years ago, things thought to only grow in the elemental planes.

The battle continued well into the night and well into the following day, and finally, on the third day, the battle ended, only a handful of fire sprites and ice soldiers remained, the two titans were still locked in mortal combat. a mighty fist tore through the fire giants side, then the fire giant would release a powerful flaming kick that would decimate the nearby flora and fauna and sear the earth beneath them.

But finally, after a few more exchange of blows, the battle ended as the two creatures collapsed. Once more that battle had ended in a tie.
